50. Nobody is Coming to Save You

Justin Arrington

Do you believe a politician can save you from economic hardships? Think again. Welcome to another episode of the Freedom First podcast, where I, Justin Arrington, challenge the widely held belief that our financial success hinges on political outcomes. Sparked by the recent presidential debate on the 10th, this episode is a reality check for anyone waiting for the "right" leader to fix their economic woes. Instead, I argue that true economic resilience and success come from personal initiative and mindset. Whether it's Trump, Biden, or anyone else in office, your prosperity is in your hands—tune in to discover how you can navigate economic challenges regardless of who sits in the Oval Office.

Feeling overwhelmed by social media's constant economic and political noise? You're not alone. I discuss the pitfalls of overstimulation and how it affects our perception of economic reality. Many are nostalgic for days of cheaper gas and lower living costs, but waiting for the perfect conditions can lead to a life of dependency and inaction. I emphasize the importance of personal growth and self-reliance, urging listeners to take control of their economic futures. This episode is packed with practical advice to empower you to thrive in any economic climate and break free from the chains of external dependency. Don't miss it!

Speaker 1:

I have been releasing a new episode on this podcast for 50 days in a row. Podcast for 50 days in a row 50. 50 days in a row, man, that's a long time and I know there's some of you guys who have been listening to every single episode and I appreciate you guys so much. It means so much that there's people willing to listen to my voice, and I'm also proud of you guys for tuning in, because that means you're looking for something more in life. You're looking to become a better person, you're looking to upgrade your life to the next level, and my only goal, my only purpose, is to help you guys figure out what it is that you're supposed to do. Help you guys to reach that next level, no matter how long it takes, and if I can be any sort of part of that, you know, even if it's just one nugget that you guys get from this show. It was worth it to me. So, like I said, guys, share the show, subscribe to the show. It would really mean the world to me. That's the best way to grow this podcast and stay tuned to the end of the show because there is going to be an announcement.

Speaker 1:

But, like I said, guys, today we're going to be talking a little bit about the economy. This actually was not the show that I had planned out for today, but we just had the presidential debate the other day, on the 10th, and oh gosh, guys, I hear so many people complain about the economy and you know how they're just waiting for. Oh, trump's going to get elected and you know home prices are going to come down, things are going to become more affordable and you know what that might be the case, but no one has a crystal ball. No one's going to be able to you know, predict the future exactly how it is. You know, I think, that any presidential candidate, they can say whatever they want during. You know all the hype, all the debates, whatever they may not pull through with that, and so what I want you guys to realize is like there's no politician out there in the world that is going to be out there to come and save you. If you want to be saved, if you want to become successful, if you want to be invincible in the economy, that's 100% on you. You're going to have to make the best out of any situation, no matter who's president, no matter if Kamala Harris is the president, no matter if Donald Trump's the president, even if Trump gets elected. You're not going to become a gazillionaire overnight just because Donald Trump got elected president. Right, it's just it's not going to happen.

Speaker 1:

You know, I I hear this all the time, especially on social media. I know that our our episode yesterday on social media um gosh, this is one of the reasons why I'm kind of just getting sick of it, because it's annoying. It's so repetitive. Like I actually went through um Instagram yesterday and I unfollowed so many you know pro patriotism and I unfollowed so many you know pro-patriotism, pro-united States, and like, believe me, I am 100% red, white and blue to the core, but my brain was just having too much, like I was overstimulated with what was going on and there's so many people out there that are just waiting for the economy to turn around. Do I think that things need to change? Oh yeah, like I think that there's.

Speaker 1:

You know I miss paying under $2 for gas.

Speaker 1:

I mean, who doesn't right? But no politician is going to come and save you. No matter what the economy is doing, you have to focus on yourself and becoming the best version of you, and if you're not willing to do that, you're going to be a slave on the chain. You know, bowing down to whatever anybody tells you. They're going to tell you all the economy sucks, it's not a good time to start a business. I would, I would wait, yeah, I would wait for sure. Well, guys, that's just setting you back who knows how many years.

Speaker 1:

Heck, when I started real estate gosh, that was probably the worst. Well, I'm not going to say the worst, but in my lifetime it probably wasn't the best time to start a business. Yes, interest rates were low and that was great, but at the same time, that also caused a bloodbath in the real estate market at times. Right after I started my business, right after I went full time on my own, guess what? We got hit with a pandemic, scamdemic, whatever you want to call it. I think it was a load of crap, but that had a negative impact on the economy.

Speaker 1:

I did it anyway. I did it anyway and like, there's not been a year that I have not made multiple six figures, you know, and now I'm on the path to doing seven in a year. That's what I'm focused on. So the more that I focus on myself, like, the more likely I am to be successful. The more you focus on you, the more you will grow, the more you will be able to tolerate. That's it. The economy is not going to save you, no matter how much you want it to.

Speaker 1:

You know, I shared the quote the other day. I think I shared it with you guys. I'm not 100%, not 100% sure, but it was the quote by Julian Edelman. Played for the Patriots. Like that quote. It's awesome, and I know I've said a lot of quotes, but you know it says tough times create strong humans, you know. So, matt, no matter what the economy is, it's up to you.

Speaker 1:

You know there's a book by uh, by a guy that I've been following for a while. His name is Mark Evans and it's called the Meconomy Meconomy. I suggest you guys go out and read it. There's a lot of really good nuggets on focusing on yourself and building what you want to build. You are in control. Nobody else. Nobody has a say in what you can and can't do. So screw the economy. Who cares what kind of economy we're living in right now? Start living in your economy, start building what you want to build. That's it All said and done. Go out and make it happen.

Speaker 1:

So, guys, with that said, I know I said that I had an announcement at the end of this show and I love doing this show. I love podcasting, I love helping people. I've been doing this for 50 days in a row now. 50 days of short little snippets of me giving you guys some sort of value that I've learned in my life. 50 days of that. I encourage you, guys, if you have not listened to all 50 episodes by now, go back and listen to them, because within these podcast shows, I've talked a little bit the four pillars that I live my life by, that's faith, family, fitness and finance. There's episodes on all of those episodes. I think I dove a little bit deeper into each of those, on episode two, maybe episode three, and I think I dove a little bit deeper. But, guys, it's it's been awesome for me, like it's honestly. It's honestly pushed me pretty hard to stay consistent for 50 days and I'll be the first one to tell you it's not been easy. It's not been easy.

Speaker 1:

So, with that said, I I want to continue to provide you guys with value, and if I'm going to be able to to continue doing this, I am going to cut back on how many episodes I am releasing every week and, honestly, it's a little bit relieving to say that, but I don't want to get burned out. I'd rather sit down and maybe have a little bit longer podcast conversations with with you guys. Um, you know, maybe these episodes are are going to be a little bit longer, maybe that 20 to 25 minute range, um, so that that's kind of what I'm thinking. That's what I'm uh, that's what I'm wanting to do from here on out. I haven't really dialed in a schedule. You know, this is my show. I can do whatever I want, right, and so, right now, I'm wanting to still release two episodes every week, and so whether that's like a Monday, wednesday or a Thursday or a Tuesday, thursday, I haven't really decided yet, but I keep your eye out for those shows to release. We may be looking at bringing on some guests here in the near future, which is something that I think would be super cool. Um, it's something that I've always wanted to do and maybe it's just time to to make that happen finally.

Speaker 1:

So, guys, I appreciate you a ton. Like I said, stay tuned. Um, you know, keep your eyes out for when the next show drops. I'm guessing the next one is probably going to drop either next Monday or Tuesday, but, anyway, I love you guys to pieces. Thank you all for listening to the Freedom First podcast. The last 50 days have been absolutely incredible and I'm so glad that I released every episode that I did. And if you guys haven't, go and rate the show, share the show. It really would help the show to grow. So, guys, love you all, thank you all and we'll chat with you next week. This lifestyle design I know you see the work A personal growth coach who founded here.
