Scout and Frodo, the trail names of Barney and Sandy Mann, are legendary figures in the long-distance hiking world. Scout is a Triple Crowner and recently completed the 1,200-mile Ice Age Trail at age 73. They’re best known for their incredible generosity as trail angels, having hosted over 8,000 Pacific Crest Trail hikers at their San Diego home. Their support, guidance, and hospitality have made them beloved icons in the hiking community.
