Speaker 1:

Another realm is a narrative-driven tabletop role-playing game podcast. For this season we're using the Dungeons Dragons 5e rules. Hmm, kinda Sometimes the language on this podcast can get a little spicy, but if that doesn't bother you, my name is Will and I play Six. I'm Bruce and I'm the voice of Archie.

Speaker 3:

I'm Frazier and I play Mark Bark Smooth.

Speaker 4:

My name is Emily and I'm the voice of Osiris Tsun.

Speaker 5:

And I'm your Game Master, tanner, and this is what happened on the last episode of Another Realm, the Never there.

Speaker 3:

Wow, I justit was just a drop. Oh, shablee, I'm on your spilling at the vile hands of Dorm Loud the Revenant. I let that bastard out of the bag and he sent everything flying Hopes dreams, shablee. It took so much effort for Archie, six, osiris and me to get to that Hadley kid, but I think we ended up with more unanswered questions and, thanks to Dorm Loud the Dick, we couldn't even defend ourselves as we were whisked away to prison. Archie and Six seem to be familiar with this place, a gallery in where now you find yourselves in the gallery of a courtroom in Port Wayworth.

Speaker 5:

A stern looking man with long white dreadlocks sits in the judge's bench. Glyam Sphelik presides over a full room. His piercing blue eyes look down at the defendants. The local newspapers are calling them the Black Wolf Remnants. When he locks eyes with their leader, archibald Theodore Cromwell, he flashes an almost imperceptible knowing smirk. Looking around the room, we can see everyone who has made a name for themselves in Port Wayworth is here Alfred Liam Palmer, who leads the Bayside Princes, robert Vincent Chase, leader of the Good Men of Butcher Street, branson Parker Riley of the Westmakers, george Alvin Tillitson of the First Family and most notably the two Hadley sons, elliot Maxwell Hadley and his adopted brother Victor Rodney Hadley.

Speaker 5:

But there's been a lot of time between now and when we left the underground operation run by the Hadleys on the southern border of Atoria. You were all in a bad state after the encounter with Dormlaud the Revenant. You aren't even sure how you got out of there, but after that ordeal you spent a few days shackled in the back of a horse-drawn cart and then a few weeks in a damp cell that smells of sea foam and brine. You've had time to think, time to worry and time to pray, but, most importantly, time to plan, and all your planning has led up to this very moment, in this very courtroom. You used all the contacts and capabilities at your disposal to ensure that what's about to happen next works.

Speaker 5:

Here's what you know. You learned what you could about the other prisoners and used that to your advantage. You got a message out to those you thought could help the most, and you gathered everything you could from a jail cell to help with this plot. The only time that this all works is right now. But instead of focusing on right now, we're going to rewind a bit and see exactly what you did to try and get yourselves out of this mess Because, dear friends, I am sentencing you to death. There's my little intro.

Speaker 6:

Oh shit.

Speaker 5:

God dang it. This is the position that we end up in. Did that make sense for you guys? Did you get it? Did it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that made sense. Yeah, it made sense.

Speaker 4:

I heard I'm going to die. Yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3:

We were shackled up for a few days. Then we were in a jail cell for a few weeks.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to skateboard way worth again. What's fucking new man?

Speaker 1:

All right, hey, I get to do it for the first time.

Speaker 5:

Okay, so a few things. We are in a situation where you've all been locked up. However, you are not locked up together. You all been dropped in four separate cells, so everyone is in their own cell, but you're nearby enough to each other to speak. Any loud talking will be called down upon by the guards, so there are people listening. There are three other prisoners in here.

Speaker 5:

Now, a couple of things I'm going to tell you about this particular setup. A lot of it is going to be up to you as to who the people are that you interact with, who you're trying to send messages out to, and what sort of manipulations and planning you're going to do. So I don't have anything for these three prisoners. They are people that you're going to make up. If you choose to talk to them, I will then play them and we can see what help you can gain from them. The guards that are going to be involved are named. They are characters that have been created. They have their own ideals and everything else. There are some twists within some of the characters that are going to show up on this. If you've been paying attention to very small plot points in the story, you will know some of these characters. So let's go ahead and roll through it.

Speaker 5:

The four of you have just finished your long trek from the southern border of Vittoria. You know, even though you had limited visibility, with either sacks on your head or in a covered cart, you know that you followed a river which I would say that, archie and Margbark, you know that if you're following a river from a point where you think you were, you were probably going, you were traveling alongside the Canast. If you were traveling north along a river from the southern border and then Archie, you know that eventually you would cross the Broadswitch River to get into Port Wayworth. So you can know a couple of things about your trip.

Speaker 5:

You can ask me see if we can make that help to your advantage, but you know there was a group of injured men and women that were part of the Blackhold Collective defended you and everyone else from Port Wayworth. So, yep, you're all in cells. There are three other prisoners in here. I will give you today this is your first day in jail to act upon and talk to each other, and then events will happen. So what is the first thing that you guys start talking about as you find yourself in this situation?

Speaker 2:

You said I'm in solitary confinement right.

Speaker 6:

Not yet.

Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. So we've all just just now been kind of plopped down into this jail. We're separated, all in our own individual cells, correct? Do we have cellmates?

Speaker 5:

No, no one has a cellmate, but you do know that there are three other prisoners in here.

Speaker 2:

What are the doors?

Speaker 5:

like Iron Bard, more complex locks than the last time that you were here. It seems like they learned from what happened.

Speaker 2:

No, I just meant, like you know, some places it's like a door with a little peephole and then some places are just like actual cells. I was trying to figure out what it was.

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, so enough to where you guys can talk to each other, but mostly so that people can have visibility in without having to open a door. The walls around you are stone. There is no light coming into these cells. There are cracks in some places where you do see some light, but that's most likely where you can smell the sea, air and things coming in. So yeah, everyone's in their own cell. The three other prisoners are in their own cell as well. They are small and cramped cells.

Speaker 3:

Um, can we see one another Like are we across a hall from each other, or something?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, you're all in the same basic location.

Speaker 2:

All right. So yeah, then Archie's just leaning against like his door, with those hands on the like out in between the bars just on whatever like metal pieces on the door, kind of just looking watching what's going on. Um.

Speaker 1:

Hey, hey guys. That was that was pretty crazy. Mark, what a good idea with that peg, I really thought you were gonna get us out of that.

Speaker 3:

I'm starting to question if it was a good idea or not. Uh, maybe that's why we're in here.

Speaker 2:

I mean, we'd probably be be dead if we weren't in here.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, I guess being dead is. Being alive is better than dead. Uh, always, um, um. I wonder what happened to dorm loud. Is he still, you know?

Speaker 3:

uh, chilling Dorm.

Speaker 2:

Loud has no chill, and he's a fucking savage.

Speaker 1:

Do I have? Oh, I don't. I don't seem to have any of my things either.

Speaker 2:

I wonder why they took my Mace Time to roll a slide of hand to see if there's a lockpick in my clothes.

Speaker 5:

I mean, they wouldn't. So yes, I did not give you that information. They would have strip searched you pretty thoroughly. Um, I will give you. Well, did you have lockpicks to begin with?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I have my thieves, tools.

Speaker 5:

Uh, okay, yeah, yeah, I'll let you give me a slide of hand to see if you, uh, you still have those on me.

Speaker 2:

Something tells me it's not gonna matter Come something tells me I really hope this is a natural 20. Cause that's the only way they magically appear in your yeah, you pick the lock, the guards catch you immediately.

Speaker 3:

They put you back in the cell. They locked the door.

Speaker 1:

Good thing for you, they didn't check your butt?

Speaker 2:

Nope, they definitely checked my butt. They did, oh gosh, so okay, that's funny.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, uh, no lockpicks. Everyone, I'm gonna say everything that's important to you or useful, has been taken from you. There were. There was a lot of concern when they searched six and people were taken aback because they figured out that?

Speaker 1:

Oh no, I opened my chest.

Speaker 2:

Is my chest bored there.

Speaker 5:

Um yeah, your chest board is still there, oh yes, that's good, I don't think they would have opened your chest cavity. I had a moment of.

Speaker 1:

I had a moment of uh panic. I thought I wouldn't even be able to play chess in in prison. I feel like a rebel.

Speaker 4:

Osiris starts like frantically padding her pockets and like all of her clothing for her book, and um, she's oh, no, no, no, no. Where's my book? Where's my book? I don't have it, I don't have it. I need that. I need that really bad you guys.

Speaker 1:

They probably took it.

Speaker 4:

I really wish I hadn't come with you guys.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I did tell you, uh, you could leave whenever you wanted to.

Speaker 4:

I wish I took your word on that honestly.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, obviously it was a little surprising you stayed with us.

Speaker 4:

No, no, guys, you, you don't understand. I really need that book. It's very, very important.

Speaker 2:

Well, uh, I'll be the first thing we get when we get out of here.

Speaker 1:

If we get out of here. Uh, there's no, if I I refuse to die. I think I'm pretty sure I overheard the guard captains talking about killing us.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, of course, I mean I've been sentenced to you know I mean technically I've been sentenced to like at least 45 persons worth of death sentences. So so you know they're over 45. So it's probably fine, right.

Speaker 1:

I. If anybody knows how to get out of this, it's you, archie. Any words of wisdom. Am I across from six?

Speaker 5:

Um, yeah, you can be across from sure.

Speaker 2:

All right, six, pull your chest board out, Ha.

Speaker 1:

I do so. Do you want to be whites or black?

Speaker 2:

I don't really care.

Speaker 1:

Uh, we can do it the old fashioned way. I put two pieces in my hand and I hold it out to Archie and say pick right or left. Uh, left, whites, it is, I'll you go first.

Speaker 2:

I set the board up. Pond to A to no all right. As I, as I began as I began telling him where to move pieces. That's like. That's the conversation that six and Archie are having right now.

Speaker 1:

Okay, pond to anything on the A file is a terrible first move, archie.

Speaker 2:

Something, something chest noises.

Speaker 1:

Um Osiris, I really do apologize for getting you into this mess. I feel like it's partially my fault, with my very friendly nature.

Speaker 4:

Well, it is okay, I just, once again, I didn't expect uh uh y'all to uh summon such a great, large lord out of a small bag. I could not have predicted that.

Speaker 3:

Well, technically we didn't summon him. He had been in my bag for quite some time. We really wanted him out of there.

Speaker 1:

It was a better time than any to get him out.

Speaker 3:

But damn the chablis.

Speaker 2:

Hey, at least you got a taste of it. Oh god.

Speaker 4:

Sixie really don't understand. A very important mentor gave me that book and it is very important that I get that book back.

Speaker 2:

Oh well, you can panic, or you can sit back and enjoy the ride, because right now nobody's going anyway.

Speaker 4:

I think I'm gonna panic.

Speaker 2:

It's probably best to be fair.

Speaker 5:

Roll for panic attack? Um, you don't have to, but if you actually do roll, okay, you have a panic attack.

Speaker 1:

Well, osiris, since we don't really have anywhere to go. Uh, follow up question who is your mentor?

Speaker 4:

Who Well um.

Speaker 2:

I don't think she's probably not gonna tell us that six. I mean we did, you know, kind of get her locked up in one of the largest.

Speaker 4:

My just well tries and it's a, it's a gentleman that I, um, I met in passing, actually, on my travels here to where, uh, to where I met you guys. Uh, I met him in the, uh, the dark spur ticket, but I I, I can't remember his name.

Speaker 1:

No, you can't remember his name?

Speaker 3:

Was it brother Gansel oh?

Speaker 2:

Hey six one night. I thought you were looking for that sounds familiar.

Speaker 4:

Oh I did, I did, I did pass by him and he, he was expecting me. Brother Gansel he, he taught me a lot of things actually, you say he was expecting you.

Speaker 2:

He was expecting you.

Speaker 4:

I don't know if we should be discussing this right now. They can kind of hear us.

Speaker 2:

I actually like presses his face against the bars to try to see down the hall both ways and he goes. No, it's probably fine, I don't see any gods.

Speaker 4:

Um, what about these other folks?

Speaker 2:

and oh hold on hold on. They're probably in the same boat as we are.

Speaker 1:

Um, there was a time. It was a time where I thought brother Gansel was my daddy. Isn't brother Gansel a fucking thief? I don't, he's a, he's a thief. According to argo malcott, I can't say that I know him very well.

Speaker 4:

But he he did teach me a lot and he gave me that book and it has all of my knowledge that I have ever collected. It's a. It's a very special book to me and I really really need that back. So you lost your diary and you're upset about it.

Speaker 3:

That was very apathetic of you, mark bark margo.

Speaker 4:

I think by now you should realize that he's a pretty apathetic guy like that hasn't been new.

Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, it just seems like you're pretty bummed about it.

Speaker 3:

Well, I mean, it just seems like you're pretty bummed about losing a sketchbook or something like. Why, like, let's why? Why is it so important?

Speaker 4:

Mark, it had the maps to the stars. The stars teach me everything. It's so important that I get that back. That is patronizing of you to say.

Speaker 3:

Well, please give me some knowledge you've gotten from the stars. What have they taught you? That's so great.

Speaker 4:

Well, they've led me here and they say that I, I let you to a prison, I let you to a prison, so, please, anything good. You can say that the stars have taught.

Speaker 3:

Did they teach you how to get out of prison? That would be more useful.

Speaker 2:

They taught me when to go to sleep and also when to rob people.

Speaker 4:

I'm sure if I had my book I could probably find something, or maybe I could look to the stars for an answer. But I'm out of luck.

Speaker 2:

Well see, here's the problem there's no windows, so it really wouldn't matter if you had your book.

Speaker 4:

Hey, um Tanner, can the the cell in front of me not be one of these fuckers? You wanted to be someone else she's straight across from me.

Speaker 5:

She's straight across from me. I'm beside.

Speaker 3:

Archie, she's beside six.

Speaker 5:

I'm straight across from you could be on one of the edges, and the adjacent cell could be one of the other.

Speaker 2:

She doesn't want to talk to us anymore. Is what she's saying? Tanner, she's size real loud.

Speaker 4:

Six is to my right. In front of six is Archie. In front of me as a random person, and then Mark barks over here when six and I can see him, archie can't wait, I'm separated from the group.

Speaker 3:

Mark would be. Yes, we're separated from the group. You're not special. No, because I made fun of your diary.

Speaker 5:

Okay, here's the cell setup. Closest, farthest from the door, um are going to be six and Archie facing each other, and then next to them are, uh, mark bark and Osiris. I don't care who you're next to, it's fine. And then next to Osiris and Mark bark are two other prisoners, and then one more space over is the third prisoner.

Speaker 4:

Fine, I guess I have to look at Mark Bart after you, hey Tanner.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, is it safe to assume that Archie would probably know he's gonna end up in solitary soon?

Speaker 5:

Um, you, okay, here's two things that that you get when you were brought down here. First off, when six was strip searched, you know they said alert the captain immediately, so something's probably gonna be happening from that. Um. Then the other one said uh, tell them he's back and Noted to you. So you know something's probably going to happen soon.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right, that's enough of the bullshit, and so two things that we need to probably get out and open now um, one, six, uh, they're intrigued by whatever it is you have under what you got there, so they're probably gonna try and poke and prod you. Um, you probably prep yourself for that and we all should probably prep ourselves to be separated very soon. So we should probably figure out how in the hell we're gonna get out of here and stop talking about you know, I don't know books and Stars and stuff.

Speaker 4:

Okay, I want to try to get the attention of the one that's next to mark bark, who is in front of me. That I can like at least see.

Speaker 5:

You can see the other one too. Like the bars between your cages are not walls.

Speaker 4:

Okay, so I thought you were saying we were surrounded by like concrete and then just the door.

Speaker 5:

Oh no stone walls all around the whole area, but you guys are in bars.

Speaker 4:

I really have to look at mark bark gross.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, uh-huh.

Speaker 4:

What if we have to use the bathroom? Well, you use it, there's a whole oh, there's a bucket.

Speaker 2:

It's not even a whole man. This is.

Speaker 5:

No, it's it. This is a good prison. It's like it's. They're ready for it. It's a hole. Sure they don't want to have to clean it up and it goes right out to sea. Duh yeah.

Speaker 4:

Oh, that's pretty short, tanner. Describe the person in the cell next to me. Emily describe the person in the cell and okay, I want it to be this very big, burly, uh, um, hi, I'm in the cell next to you.

Speaker 2:

No, like big barbaric, like hi, I'm in the cell next to you, like.

Speaker 4:

Like, uh, I can't think of the the, the race.

Speaker 1:

You're praying. It's a goliath, a goliath.

Speaker 4:

No, um, they're like half orc yes.

Speaker 5:

Okay or orc, or yeah Full orc would be an orc in here, so we'll go with half orc.

Speaker 2:

Hey who's on how'd?

Speaker 4:

you get in Art. Yeah, like this song, maybe um a goliath would be bigger than who's song.

Speaker 2:

That's why.

Speaker 4:

No, no, no, no, no, no. So just like big big guy big guy.

Speaker 5:

Big, big, big half orc Okay big guy.

Speaker 4:

Uh, uh, excuse, excuse me Sir what?

Speaker 5:

what does this guy sound like?

Speaker 4:

Oh, come on Big, or okay, okay, yeah we're a big guy, we're dumb now. Me and big guy if you, if you don't mind me asking how, how long have?

Speaker 2:

you been, oh, trying nap, midday, nap time, but yes, so in another cell we see um Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson peeing on a shirt and tying it to a bar Can we have a shirt and more.

Speaker 4:

All right, anyway, we have one of the jailers jail some guys be like wow, wow.

Speaker 5:

Wow, yeah, it's uh sure, if we're gonna go ahead and get all of these characters in, yeah the other, we can make the other one freaking Owen Wilson.

Speaker 4:

But his name is Bowen Wilson let's focus on.

Speaker 5:

Let's focus on very smart guy first very smart.

Speaker 4:

Um well, I I'm sorry to bother you, but I do just have a quick question, if you don't mind ask. Oh okay, Um well, uh, how long have you been in here?

Speaker 6:

Me. I'm not remember how long we have been away from family.

Speaker 5:

You gave me rain. You could have said intelligent, large, beefy man like, like, like nerdy, buff guy, geek, strong. But no, you said half work, big guy. This is a half work, big guy.

Speaker 2:

I hope that's his name Half work, big guy 100% half work, big guy.

Speaker 4:

Well, um, jesus, um, do you know how to get out of here? By any chance? Have you ever, have you ever, been outside recently?

Speaker 6:

Me. I'm remembering outside.

Speaker 4:

Do you really? Sorry, bro, she didn't get arrested a lot.

Speaker 2:

So you know she doesn't know. It's kind of rude to ask people if they've not been outside in a while.

Speaker 4:

I don't. I don't like being here and I really want to get out. It sounds like you really want to get out too.

Speaker 6:

Me am have question.

Speaker 4:

Me him have answered.

Speaker 6:

You dream in color.

Speaker 4:

Oh, of course. I dream of the most brilliant.

Speaker 6:

Me not. It black and white.

Speaker 4:

Well.

Speaker 1:

I fucking, I fucking knew this was gonna go this way.

Speaker 4:

If we, if we can get outside, I can show you lots of colors of the world, of colors of the wind. In fact, copyright I quite remind me of I quit you could paint with all the colors of them remind me of old, old family song Me am show you the world.

Speaker 1:

No, okay, all right, we're done, okay, okay.

Speaker 5:

Okay, all right, so you've, you've, you've made this guy.

Speaker 2:

He's a big burly, half work, uh she just takes his head and stuffs it in between the bars, reaches around and just snaps his own, all right.

Speaker 5:

What do you, what do you want to carry? So you've, this is step one. You've created this character, you've started a conversation. Um, we, uh, I think we've gone through enough. This will be our end of day one. You've got to go weeks to fill in with this so we can fill in some gaps. So, uh, at this point, through this conversation, this large half orc starts singing, which gets the attention of the guards upstairs.

Speaker 2:

This is not gonna be good for him.

Speaker 5:

One of them comes down, a very uh, tall, slim elf, um, dressed in full port way worth guard regalia, uh. He holds himself uh to high alert and is looking around and pinpoints in very quickly on the half orc and says you, sir, highlighting the rules of conduct within here, I need you to take it down a notch or else there will be repercussions. The half orc immediately stops.

Speaker 2:

Well shit, that was the nicest I've ever heard a guy speak to somebody in this jail.

Speaker 5:

There are laws, dear sir, and I Hold myself to them to the fullest. I am not here to enact my own set of Punishments upon you. The law will do that if it is just well, hold on.

Speaker 1:

Um, what if the law wasn't just? Would you be on the side? Of the uh. Unjustified. Wait, the the uh. What word? The innocent, the innocent, the wronged, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I.

Speaker 5:

Will always find myself on the side of the law. Uh, now, if you will, I must go and oh uh, see what we are doing with the two of you.

Speaker 4:

Excuse me, quick, quick, that's called lawful.

Speaker 2:

Stupid in uh dnd circles, just everyone.

Speaker 4:

No, please, sir. Good question Um. Are we allowed to make a um A call, a reach out to someone? Can I send a message?

Speaker 5:

I'll send an L messages will go through the correct channels. If you wish to send one out to alert any family members that you are here, I will check in with my superiors to see if we can get that done for you. I cannot guarantee anything, however.

Speaker 4:

Okay, thank you so.

Speaker 1:

One more question, Um. Are you familiar with the Hadleys?

Speaker 5:

I am familiar with the Hadleys. They are of great importance both, both in this area and now expending their reach towards the capital.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's fucking rich.

Speaker 1:

Um I failed to see what is so well. What's funny about that is they were stealing crownswood. If I had proof of that, would you uh help me?

Speaker 5:

I am sorry, but I am unable to entertain anything from prisoners right now, especially regarding the law. You are, of course, assumed guilty. So, if you don't mind, I must return to my duties.

Speaker 1:

Oh, is that how law works here.

Speaker 3:

Guilty until proven innocent.

Speaker 2:

I bet his name's dread.

Speaker 5:

I bet that god's name was dread. I've never heard of guilty until proven innocent. Before a good, good day, he leaves and goes upstairs Um Fucking square.

Speaker 5:

A couple other guards uh, actually a regalia of guards comes down, um, and they line up in front of archies. Uh sorry, they line up in front of six's cell. Okay, I was gonna say we're gonna have some fun, because we're about to have some fun and they unlock the door. Uh, before they unlock the door, they say on your knees, hands between the cell bars, sir, Thing it hands it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, definitely he my name's hands. I.

Speaker 2:

He has two of those oh okay, okay, hands.

Speaker 1:

I put my hands through. I say, just do what they tell you.

Speaker 2:

I'll find you later.

Speaker 1:

What would you say in this situation, archy?

Speaker 2:

Do what they tell you. I'll find you later.

Speaker 5:

Okay, listen to the man, uh, and they make sure your hands are oriented vertically through the bar so they could put Cuffs on them. And then they say Three steps back now. One, two, three, okay, they open the cell door and, uh, to come in, come behind you. Two are in front of you and then Two more they've On uh, one on the front and one the back, so they have six guards on you currently Do you guys like this, and they lead you upstairs Shut up.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 5:

It worked wow, oh, all right, uh, so the three of you see, six led out of here. Um, One guard, as uh they are leaving, looks to you, archy, and says we're coming back for you next. Prepare yourself, and we don't want any funny business. We know who you fucking are.

Speaker 2:

Then you know you're gonna get funny business. Bruh shut up.

Speaker 5:

And they walk away.

Speaker 3:

You might want to bring more than six guards for this one.

Speaker 1:

Fine Archie's pretty strong.

Speaker 3:

He's my best friend actually six guards, for six was kind of overkill. He's not that dangerous.

Speaker 5:

Wow, wow all right uh so he's, he's right though.

Speaker 1:

No, do you know, do him some favors at least.

Speaker 2:

At least let him appear to be scary.

Speaker 5:

Okay, uh, so now it is just the, the three of you and the three other prisoners, uh, one half-orc strong guy, um, and then two others, uh, after a bit, a group of eight guards comes down, as suggested for archy. Um, the same procedure. They ask you to put your hands through the bars. I just leaning against the back wall like this.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you only brought eight. You guys are fucked shut up.

Speaker 2:

I'm a bit offended that you only brought eight people, so get me out of this cell Then. How many would you like? Uh well, let's see what's eight divided by two, because I ate them. Oh, four, right four. So before you left, probably I'm just kidding, oh jeez. No these guys are so tight, tight up nowadays he sticks his hands through the thing. Okay, they cuff you when he goes to them he rages and his hands turn into claws and he goes boo.

Speaker 6:

Roll intimidation.

Speaker 2:

Boo 20 non-natural.

Speaker 5:

Uh, the guy going to cuff you jumps back. Uh, he, he was startled, um, um. He lets his hands go back to the normal All right, uh, the other one that's kind of barking out the orders, grabs the cuff from the one guy that jumped back and and uh, comes up, puts the cuffs on your hands. Um, all right, three steps back now.

Speaker 5:

One, two and that makes a mighty three Okay they unlock the cage, three guards come in behind you and lead you out. Total of eight guards surround you as you are led up and out. Hi Mark, I'll see you later.

Speaker 2:

Don't worry, these clankers aren't too bad, they're okay. Really, they're not bad guys. You shouldn't be that mad. Where is six.

Speaker 5:

Very good fade away.

Speaker 3:

Where is six? Six is gone.

Speaker 4:

I'm yelling at them.

Speaker 5:

Oh, oh, they do not respond. All right, so some time passes and then your evening meals are brought in, margbark and Osiris. It's been a few hours and you have not seen six and Archie brought back down. The guard that brings you your food, however, is a small curly haired halfling, very upbeat. Seems to be a decent little fellow. As he drops your food in, he says hi, here's your dinner, enjoy. No, not enjoy. Sorry, don't enjoy, it's just I'm bye and he scurries out.

Speaker 4:

Wait, wait, wait wait.

Speaker 3:

Wait, wait wait a minute. Yes, come back here, please.

Speaker 5:

Please should be like. This kind of sounded like a demand first, and then you said please.

Speaker 3:

So um would you please come back, talk with us, please Roll persuasion oh, that's a nine plus something. Maybe, maybe a lot.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, it should be like six for you Maybe.

Speaker 3:

Unless, it's deception Plus four.

Speaker 5:

So 13. 13. Okay, he reluctantly turns back around um, dusts off his uh Portway with Guard uniform and marches back towards you. Um, sorry, sorry, I uh really shouldn't be talking with prisoners. Um, but is uh, is everything, is everything okay.

Speaker 3:

Um, no, everything is obviously not okay. Currently I'm imprisoned, and that is, one might say, less than ideal.

Speaker 5:

Um, but you, you killed a lot of. You killed a lot of people.

Speaker 3:

Whoa whoa.

Speaker 5:

I who name one person that I killed Name one I don't, I don't, I don't honestly know any of them by you don't know, basically you can't prove I killed, anybody is what you're saying, right? Is that what you're saying? I can't, I can't, but that's not my job, okay, you?

Speaker 3:

can't, so I'm innocent.

Speaker 5:

No, that's not how it works.

Speaker 3:

You carry yourself in a different way than the rest of these guards.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm new.

Speaker 3:

Are you? Are you? Are you new here?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I just said I'm new, I'm going to go now. No, no, wait, wait.

Speaker 4:

I actually haven't killed anybody.

Speaker 5:

No, you they. They said you killed a lot of people too. What A lot of people in the black hole collective. They said you, you, you just decimated all of them.

Speaker 4:

That that's. That's very false. Actually, I'm a little, a little upset.

Speaker 5:

Here's the thing. Here's the thing I know about murders and killers is that they lie. So when you tell me that that's not true, I yeah well, and you're a sheep that voice up ahead and I'm what You're a sheep. I'm a sheep. No, I'm a halfling, you're a halfling.

Speaker 2:

She got rude. She got real G real quick. You're a fucking sheep.

Speaker 4:

Look from one halfling to another. I didn't do it.

Speaker 5:

If I believed you that, I think that'd be like um racist or something I don't know Racist look you.

Speaker 3:

You just said from your own mouth that you can't prove I killed anybody. Would you testify for me in court please?

Speaker 5:

Um, I'm not. I don't, I'm not a witness. Do you know how courts work? Do I mean, I can explain to you how courts work? I think that might be part of my job description. Um, so so you go to court and they tell you whether or not you did it or not?

Speaker 3:

But you don't think we did.

Speaker 5:

I don't know. I think you did it, I was told you did it, and who told you that? Everybody.

Speaker 4:

Everybody in the black hole collective.

Speaker 5:

Well, they told the guys that, told my boss who is the captain of the guard, and they said that the judges have the information too. And it's just, I mean everybody, you guys are, you guys are part of the, you guys are part of the folks that did all the massacring of, like all those gang people all those years ago. I mean, you're part of the, the black wolf brigade. You know where the remnants of it?

Speaker 4:

I just met these guys yesterday. Who?

Speaker 6:

is the black wolf brigade lie, it's very likely.

Speaker 4:

I am.

Speaker 3:

Hold on, hold on. I think we've got some associations crossed up. Who is the black wolf brigade? You tell me.

Speaker 5:

I just got here. All right, I'm not even from Port Weiworth, this is. I've come here to do my duty, to get a promotion and go back to my hometown and live happily with a pension.

Speaker 6:

What's? What's your name, son?

Speaker 3:

What's your name, son?

Speaker 5:

My name is.

Speaker 3:

Mark, mark and I stick my hand through the jail cell to be able to shake his.

Speaker 5:

He goes to shake his hand. I got no. No, I'm not shaking your hand. What if you pulled me and bonked my face against the things?

Speaker 3:

I don't have any keys so you know, Then you could I don't know get your guard buddies to kill me or something. I have no leverage, I don't want you to know you have to go.

Speaker 5:

No, I'll give you. I'll give you my name and that is it, and then I'm leaving.

Speaker 3:

And I heard people from Port Weiworth were supposed to be mannered.

Speaker 5:

Well mannered, what Just goes to show you I'm not from Port Weiworth.

Speaker 3:

So you admit you're just a primitive, no mannered person. Just you can't even shake my hand. Yes, rude.

Speaker 5:

You. My name, sir, is Sardo Cable Doff, and you'll do good to remember it because I I will retire. I won't be important, but you should. It's good to remember names. Anyway. I'm leaving now unless you have any other real issues.

Speaker 2:

That definitely means we need to remember his name because we're going to run into him in a town later.

Speaker 1:

No, we've already run into this motherfucker. You don't remember Sardo from episode fucking two? Oh, that guard. Yeah, it's that guard, the one that got bonked on the head.

Speaker 4:

Oh, goodbye, Sardo. Sardo, wait, excuse me.

Speaker 3:

Sardo Cable Doff, the rude halfling I met in prison, I'll never forget.

Speaker 4:

Sardo, excuse me, I asked one guard before and he kind of brushed me off. But is there any way that we can send out a message to a loved one?

Speaker 5:

Well, you likely were talking to my dear friend Avonel of Ever Autumn, and if there's going to be something that we can get out, then the guard captain, our boss, is going to have to approve of that. So he put in the work order for it and we'll see if it comes back positive or negative.

Speaker 4:

It's it's very important and, like I said, I I just met these guys yesterday. I don't. I don't know what's happening.

Speaker 5:

He puts a finger in the air and wags it around.

Speaker 4:

A likely story. I don't know anything about the BBW.

Speaker 5:

Well, shouldn't have joined.

Speaker 3:

No, no, really she did just, we just picked her up yesterday. She has no idea what's going on.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to look over to Mark Bark and say this very loudly Mark Bark, what was his name? Sardo.

Speaker 1:

Sardo.

Speaker 4:

Mark Bark, I heard that Sardo has a duty. He has to take a big duty.

Speaker 1:

Jesus Christ.

Speaker 6:

Jesus.

Speaker 1:

God Good jokes on this, let's make fun of him.

Speaker 6:

Look at little man with big duty. See it in pants. This is, this is peak.

Speaker 1:

This is peak Fucking improv. I thought.

Speaker 4:

I reached through the jail cell to high five, a big orc man.

Speaker 5:

It hurts, he do a big slap. Sardo looks as face turns beat red as he storms off back up the stairs. We could have been well, not friends, but like acquaintances who didn't hate each other. But now I hate you.

Speaker 4:

Bye, bye, mr Doodyman, wow.

Speaker 5:

What an episode, filled with goofs and also serious moments that really have a lot of impact on our character development. We're all over the place with this kind of stuff, which is really important because we are basically experts at this. Now, I don't know if you know this, but after you do something for a year, you become an expert on it, and why is that relevant to us, will?

Speaker 1:

Because our 29th episode is coming out, which is going to be our year anniversary, Believe it or not. We released three at the first time. 52 divided by two is 26. Therefore, 26 episodes later, 29 is a year. I hate.

Speaker 5:

I hate all the math that you just did. We released our first episodes on August 15th and our next episode comes out on August 14th. So that's a year.

Speaker 1:

Close to damn enough. No, no, no.

Speaker 5:

I like my math way of doing things I don't like it. It's not good math, it's not even bad math that you'd have in Dungeons, dragons or other tabletop RPGs, which is what we're playing. I don't know if you knew that, but that's what we're doing here.

Speaker 1:

If you've made it this far, don't know what we're doing. Good on you, first of all. Secondly, maybe pay attention a little bit more and I just care, don't do that. You do what you.

Speaker 5:

you do you boo, boo If we are your background and beyonds while you're trying to get shit done. Man, I love it, I'm here for it, and this is just another bit of that. So here's some white noise.

Speaker 6:

Perfect, perfect, you're so good at that.

Speaker 5:

We're going to release it on Spotify. Oh, it's like Will ASMR or something. Hey, hold on, should I?

Speaker 1:

just turn it up and just let me get it in.

Speaker 5:

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're not actually doing it. We're not actually. Oh my God, I have an ear infection. That was terrible for me. Hey, stay tuned to the rest of the episode. It's really good. The next episode, like I said, coming out on August 14th, has a bunch of big reveals leading into a couple of episodes that just have a lot of stuff going on. So if you're enjoying the story so far, I think you are going to be in for a big, big bit of happiness.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we are. We are having fun here and I hope you guys are too. As Tanner stated earlier, if you want to be a part of this, the best way to do it is to share and get on another realmcom. It shows all links to all of our social media. Since they're all changing names all the time, it has links to them. You just click and go and boom there.

Speaker 5:

Well, they're not changing, they're just. We just don't remember them.

Speaker 1:

Guys, thanks so much for listening and hopefully you enjoy the rest of the episode. We'll see you on the next one.

Speaker 5:

It is a couple hours after you guys are fed dinner. Archie and six, you have not been brought any sustenance. First off, Archie, we'll kind of focus on what's going on with you first. You have been brought through a couple levels of this jail, a few that you've seen before. Of course you've made your way through these halls on occasion. They bring me All right. Anyway, they bring you to a solitary confinement location. These are relatively new, since you've been here last Did you guys build these because of me?

Speaker 2:

Shut up.

Speaker 5:

That's a yes they. They come up to this large Flat steel door that has a little slide that they would present food in in the middle of it. It is attached to these very right angled Hume stone segments of wall and they open. This door doesn't even creak as it opens on these thick hinges and they shove you inside. One of them says Turn, we'll take the cuffs off. You fight, any will strap you up harder.

Speaker 5:

All right, geez, you guys are no fun All right, they unlocks the cuffs, take them off, walk out of the room and slam the door.

Speaker 2:

Archie, you can hear you forgot to lock it.

Speaker 5:

Someone comes back and checks to turn to turn, fuck you. You can hear screaming nearby. You do know the stories of solitary confinement. You may have experienced it before. It's where it is just people being left here to rot, especially within their mind, because that sucks.

Speaker 2:

Hi guys, probably been here at least six months. That means I only have to listen to him for about another 30 days. That'd be all right.

Speaker 5:

All right. The little door slides open, just a hunk of bread is tossed in. It is stale. Before it shut, the guy on the other side, which is a voice that you didn't hear in that group of guards. He says, hey, an ESL be by soon. And slaps the door slot closed.

Speaker 2:

No, this is gonna go All right, warly six.

Speaker 5:

They have taken you to a strange location. This area is a little bit detached from the other cells. You do hear pain screams in bursts from some of the other doors that you pass by and they eventually lead you into this room. There are contraptions, looks like torture devices lining the walls. In the center there's a chair with straps on it and they shove you down into it, remove the cuffs and place your hands Into these slots and your legs into these others and strap you in by all your limbs. They leave and in walks in two men in Robes, white, pristine robes. They have an air of authority about them and they're whispering to each other, looking over some notes as they eye you up and down. One of them walks up and says uh, hello, if you could please state your name, which one?

Speaker 1:

Yours. I've got a couple. They both are relevant.

Speaker 5:

All right, then all your names and aliases will be fine as well, you can?

Speaker 1:

you can call me Argo Malcott.

Speaker 5:

I'll go Malcott, all right, let me write that down in his notebook.

Speaker 1:

Okay, really, no, that didn't ring a bell for you guys. Are you from castor Haven?

Speaker 5:

Uh, you don't need to know anything about us. I think you're giving that can't tell you other aliases. I'm just, you go by cantelli.

Speaker 1:

Oh, dang it. I was really hoping to pull some threads here.

Speaker 5:

Just call me six, please six is that what you primarily go for? That?

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 5:

Fine, okay, and it's six. Some sort of numbering system for you, oh.

Speaker 1:

Probably.

Speaker 5:

No, okay, and you are actually yes.

Speaker 1:

I think, no, that's, that's very true. My last vision yeah, there was a five. There was five.

Speaker 5:

I was part of the creating.

Speaker 1:

It didn't work out too well. You created another one of your numbers, so technically I created myself a little bit In some ways, I do believe. Okay, I'm starting to think that me and Argo we were best buddies. My name's not Argo, your name's not Argo, okay.

Speaker 5:

No, do you play chess On occasion? I do? All right, I pop open my chest board.

Speaker 1:

I think I got a mechanisms less pop without you To my hands and the chess board already set up from what I was playing with Archie.

Speaker 5:

Ah, interesting. Okay, so no, internal organs make a note of that, all right. So how old are you? How long have you been Alive? Operational, I oh.

Speaker 1:

Oh well, I'm at least four. At least four. Okay, that's as far as I can remember. I was ahead in a bag.

Speaker 5:

You know. So your limbs can be detached, your head can be detached from this central body, and you would still exist, correct? All right, we'll make a note to run that test later.

Speaker 1:

Wait, oh, hold on, piat, belcom.

Speaker 5:

Piat belcom. Do you know of Piat belcom?

Speaker 1:

Yes, Supposed to be okay after I finish a mission which it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to finish, all right and then what?

Speaker 5:

what relation do you have to Piat belcom? None, okay, all right, uh, well, um, that's what I was gonna meet, to help me meet him. Tallest job. Okay, yeah, all right.

Speaker 1:

I know some pretty high up people that I was trying to help.

Speaker 5:

Oh, uh, sure, yes, that's fine, okay, so, uh. So tell me, are you Capable of Feeling, uh, Pain, pleasure, hunger?

Speaker 1:

Yes, I found out on a bridge. You found on a bridge that you could experience all of it. Well, pain Is. I do know when I'm hurt. Okay but I don't know if it's the same pain that you would feel.

Speaker 5:

Okay, uh, let's run some pain tests. Sure, uh, yeah, we could. We could measure it with that utensil. Yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 1:

Okay, um, need to eat sustenance, uh how do you maintain yourself oh, I don't need to breathe either.

Speaker 5:

Excellent, okay, uh, very interesting.

Speaker 1:

I can turn on my laser eyeballs. What's a laser Good point? I don't know, it's just sounded fun to say Okay, I turn my eyes red.

Speaker 5:

Interesting, uh, capable of creativity? Um, so, potentially lies, uh, if they're. Yeah, I don't know if all those people exist. No, that's fine. Um, yeah, we'll dig into that later. Okay, all right. So, uh, you said you created yourself.

Speaker 1:

Um, how, oh, I don't have a clue. All right, I haven't made it that far in my memories yet. Oh, hey, uh, can you get a message to cantelli from castor? Haven for me, okay. I consider it a last will and testament, just uh, consider it a last request, because I don't know that I'm making it out of here. I need to, I need to, I need to speak with him, can tell you, and castor haven, Um, this is this is.

Speaker 5:

I mean, you've mentioned that you know them. This is someone that you Do you expect me to know?

Speaker 1:

No, tell him that jason asked for him.

Speaker 5:

Tell cantelli that jason asked for him. Yes, um, yeah, sure we can, we can do that. The other one nods at him. Fine, all right, uh, so this line of questioning continues on, unless there's anything in specific that you'd like to either give them knowledge of or ask them. I will give you one pertinent question.

Speaker 1:

That was uh, that was kind of a thread. I was gonna see if it would play. Yeah, that was, that was the play here. I don't know that. I got that kind of came out last minute there from my brain hole, so I don't really have anything else to talk to these guys about.

Speaker 5:

Then we will move back down to Mark Bark and Osiris. You guys have been brought your meals by both Avenel and Sardo for the day. The other two prisoners in here have pretty much kept to themselves. So unless you'd like to talk to them, how do you want to spend your day?

Speaker 3:

Being in prison. Being in prison. Okay.

Speaker 5:

Alright.

Speaker 3:

What are our choices? We're in a stone prison cell surrounded by bars.

Speaker 5:

Yep, but you can whatever you want to do to try and get a message out or try and convince these guards of anything, because both of them don't seem to be against you. You also have the opportunity to talk to the other two prisoners and Half-Orc Strong Guy is here too.

Speaker 2:

Definitely going to have to save Half-Orc Strong Guy.

Speaker 3:

Alright, I was trying to avoid this, but why don't we just talk to the person that's so? Osiris is across from me, right, and then there's someone over across from her.

Speaker 4:

Big Orc dude.

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, that's over beside me right.

Speaker 4:

No, no, no, he's beside me.

Speaker 3:

Oh, he's beside you.

Speaker 4:

I mean their locations are relatively irrelevant.

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, that's right, they have five, but so you want to talk to a second prisoner?

Speaker 3:

Alright, I'm going to talk to this person over here on my side, okay.

Speaker 5:

Who are they?

Speaker 3:

I don't know.

Speaker 4:

Make it a woman. Come on, you can do it.

Speaker 3:

Make it a young woman who looks like she does not belong in a prison cell. She is small, has blonde hair and looks very scared and confused.

Speaker 4:

Has murdered 13 people.

Speaker 3:

She's just. She has no idea why she's here. She is just terrified and scared and needs a hug.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, you see this young blonde woman huddled up in a corner. Human Whatever? Okay, human we'll go with. Human, okay Alright. She is huddled up in a corner and she's been shivering just for the past day while you've been in here, trying to keep to herself, just very uncertain as to what's going on.

Speaker 3:

Excuse me girl.

Speaker 5:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

Are you okay? I notice you seem a bit off. You haven't said a word to anyone.

Speaker 5:

No, no, I don't. I don't want anything to do with any criminal activity or whatever you've done, I don't.

Speaker 3:

No, no, you've got it all wrong. We are not criminals.

Speaker 5:

I'm not either. I shouldn't be here, I really shouldn't be here.

Speaker 2:

I feel like someone just called and said I wasn't a criminal. I'm a bit offended by that.

Speaker 4:

His criminal senses are tingling.

Speaker 1:

Well, somebody said I was a good guy.

Speaker 2:

Like when your nose is itching or what the fuck are you talking?

Speaker 4:

about May. I'm not supposed to be here either, but why are you here?

Speaker 5:

I. He said I, but I didn't. I don't know. I don't know why I'm here. They've said I've done so many different things, but I didn't do any of them. They said I killed someone. They said I stole some things. They said I did all of these, but I was just asleep. I was asleep and then I woke up because the house was burning. And then they came and they said that I did it. I didn't do it.

Speaker 3:

Where was your house?

Speaker 5:

It was near the northern wharf, overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful house, it was white, it had these massive columns and they're gone. They fell in the fire, the whole thing, just it's gone.

Speaker 4:

What's your name?

Speaker 5:

Frazier, what's your name?

Speaker 3:

Fuck you what's?

Speaker 5:

your name.

Speaker 3:

Melanie.

Speaker 4:

Her name's Avery.

Speaker 5:

I'm just kidding, it's my name's Melanie.

Speaker 4:

Melanie, I'm so sorry that you're here. I hope everything works out for you, thank you.

Speaker 5:

Would you?

Speaker 4:

like to get out of here.

Speaker 3:

Yes, yes yes, sir, I really would Do you know of any way we could send a message to the outside.

Speaker 5:

Well, some of us could visitation. I know there were a couple of people before they were getting going to trial. They somehow got their family in here and I heard what they asked the guards, so maybe we could do that. I don't have my family's all dead, but I could. If you get me out of here, I can help you out with that.

Speaker 4:

I'm so sorry to hear that, Tanner. Are there guards in the hallway or something?

Speaker 5:

Roll perception.

Speaker 4:

Uh, the be Um, that's a seven.

Speaker 5:

You're not sure.

Speaker 4:

Uh, I'm gonna. I'm gonna call out, excuse me, guards, hello, hello, hello.

Speaker 5:

Uh yeah, if you're calling out and trying to yell upstairs, you know, eventually Avonel of Ever Autumn comes down. Sorry, this is not a uh hotel. We're not here to provide a service. Are you in pain or something?

Speaker 4:

It once again. I have a very, very important message I need to be sent out before I'm sent to court.

Speaker 5:

Ah, yes, I did ask my captain about that. Um, I think we can. If we can read it and we approve it, then we'll send a message out, if that's what you're looking for. Um, I can assist with that.

Speaker 4:

The only problem is. The only problem is um, I don't. My family just moved and I don't remember their new location. I have it written down in my book and I don't know where my book is.

Speaker 5:

Ah, confiscated materials um would be in the confiscated materials box.

Speaker 4:

Is there any way I can see? It's just a book. It's just a book. Is there any way I can see the book, so at least I can reach out to my family, please?

Speaker 5:

Um, we'll have to, we'll have to go through it and, uh, I will read through the whole thing myself and there's anything that I will look for an address.

Speaker 4:

Well, I don't think the language is gonna be legible for you.

Speaker 5:

Um, I speak quite a few languages. How many languages is it in? Or what, sorry, what language is it in?

Speaker 4:

Um, I kind of made it up myself, if you will. It's quite a? Um special type of language. I would like to roll persuasion.

Speaker 5:

Uh well, is it written in a special type of language? And I need you to be honest here. You've written it in one of the languages that you understand.

Speaker 4:

Well, okay, the thing about the book is no, you're being honest with me.

Speaker 5:

You're being honest with me.

Speaker 4:

I'm being honest with you and that I didn't actually write anything in the book. The book writes itself.

Speaker 5:

Oh, okay, that's what we're going with. Okay, so what is the book? What language does the book write in?

Speaker 4:

Um, okay, how about a draconic?

Speaker 5:

Okay, so that is a language that people can speak. You just said you made it up, so this will be a deception rule.

Speaker 4:

Shit, okay, alright.

Speaker 1:

The question is does Avonel speak draconic?

Speaker 4:

Oh, is he thinking she made it up. I got a 19 total.

Speaker 5:

Ooh, oh, very nice 18 plus 1. Alright, uh, that is a very good roll. I will um sure. If it's approved, I will bring your book down to you.

Speaker 4:

Thank you. It's just my family. I'm worried about them, Thank you.

Speaker 5:

Sure, and I know that a lot of these trials can end in death, so we will try and get a message out to them sooner rather than later.

Speaker 4:

Oh, okay, hopefully. So when is our trial?

Speaker 5:

Uh, I'm not certain. A date has not been set.

Speaker 4:

No, I don't, I don't belong here, oh God okay.

Speaker 3:

Could you bring down some extra towels and tell the manager, the continental breakfast sucks.

Speaker 5:

I'll pass that along. He rolls his eyes as he walks back upstairs.

Speaker 4:

Oh God.

Speaker 5:

Alright, anything else that you want to have a conversation with Melanie, she's given you information that you might be able to get some of the information you potentially have access to your book. It depends on how that role acts with this whether or not he looks through it. So that's what we're hoping for. He doesn't look in and he doesn't understand Rekonic.

Speaker 4:

Okay, I'm going to look over at the Orc man you really want to get out of here.

Speaker 6:

Me. Do not want to be here. This place suck real big.

Speaker 4:

Well, I really, I really like you and I think that.

Speaker 6:

Will you marry me? I will leave with you Quarezla.

Speaker 4:

That is quite.

Speaker 6:

Mom said I needed to be married by 18, me am 19.

Speaker 4:

Oh, how about we go?

Speaker 6:

out to a nice dinner afterwards. Let me take you from dinner to propose yes in front of people, witnesses in regular places.

Speaker 4:

Maybe, but what if we got out of here? Yes, you and me, we get out of here, me maybe, me am done with this plan.

Speaker 3:

Well, he seems like quite a striking young lad, osiris. Maybe you should take him up on it. Me am catch, you hear him, he am catch.

Speaker 5:

Me understand. He rolls up one of his pant legs to show you his thigh.

Speaker 6:

Look, look vascularity and die.

Speaker 4:

That is that.

Speaker 5:

He flexes his muscle, it's, it is sinury.

Speaker 4:

That is great for your future. There's not an ounce of fat on half-orc strong guy that is great for your future children.

Speaker 6:

Oh, we already talking children, Me am give you big belly of kids. Oh my God.

Speaker 2:

Oh, it's gone so far.

Speaker 1:

Wedding bells death of enemies.

Speaker 4:

How about we make a plan first on how to get out Wedding plan? Yes, no, no, no. How to get out.

Speaker 6:

We need to get out, not big wedding, small wedding, only close friends and family Me, mom, me dad, me brothers. I have 18 and a half brothers, then me sisters, 22 sisters. Very small family.

Speaker 4:

And a half. Excuse me.

Speaker 6:

He got chopped in half oh.

Speaker 4:

Tell him about half-brother, just half-brother. Let's talk about getting out first and I'm done with this conversation.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes, future wife, what we plan. I'm sorry that fucked me up. I was not.

Speaker 4:

Mark, I think we might have for someone to help us get out of here. This is my friend. Well, I just met them yesterday actually, fiance. No, no, no, I just met them yesterday.

Speaker 6:

Future baby daddy. Ha ha ha.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

And the next day. The next day.

Speaker 5:

So this is still on day two for Archie and Six, so we'll move over first to Six. Six the same two white-robed men come into the room and they start pulling instruments off the wall. What they do next is try and figure out how your face plate is attached, which is your mask. So they are trying to first delicately remove it. Excuse me, could you please, since you made yourself. You said how do you remove your faceplate? This much.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's a different story. I didn't do this. It doesn't come off. No, yeah, no matter how hard you try, you'll have to look at it after I'm dead. Challenge accepted.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, all right. Mask review post mortem All right. Well, forgive us if we try a little bit now. Sure, be my guest.

Speaker 1:

All right, I haven't seen my real face in a while.

Speaker 5:

They take some tools first, delicate instruments at first, couple of them that they're spinning of, and they begin chipping away, trying to. At this mask Mask, you can feel it chipping into your head, basically the spots around the mask that they're trying to get underneath it. The mask is not budging, however, but you do take three points of damage piercing damage.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I know I don't experience pain, but I do know that that is digging into me, which the mask is a part of me. So anything you do to the mask is hurting, hurting me. Is this necessary?

Speaker 5:

They don't respond to your questioning. One nods to the other and he goes and he gets a very fine tipped chisel and a mallet, places it in between where your face meets the mask and starts tinkering away very lightly at first, tink, tink, tink, tink and hammering increases in power as he hits the head of this chisel, one particularly hard hit that comes down. You get this quick flash of gold and see Saint Sebastian dancing in the cathedral very quickly and then it fades back away and you're once again back with the hammering of your mask.

Speaker 1:

Hey, listen, hit me harder, daddy Wow.

Speaker 5:

Um wow, Seth Olin Wilson guard that actually might be required. Sure, the patient has. I mean we can say that's a good question.

Speaker 1:

Do me a favor swing really hard this next time. All right, yes, so the guy pulls back.

Speaker 5:

The guy pulls back and says I mean, what if we damage this specimen? No, don't, don't worry about it.

Speaker 1:

Um oh, you can't damage me. I got a helmet, all right.

Speaker 5:

Uh, clang, uh, he takes a good hard swing at it. And vision, very much a burst of gold, you call out. It doesn't seem like he hears you. Oh, but it is a prolonged vision. Um, you could try reaching out with something other than your voice.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm going to, I'm going to use stomatorgy in the thing, okay, and I'm going to uh put a, put a big glowing image of my mask where he is. I'm going to try to. At least that's what my goal is. Just a big, big, like a bat signal of six is face.

Speaker 5:

Okay.

Speaker 6:

I like it.

Speaker 5:

All right, this is um how role religion for me, please? Okay, I'm good at that. See, just make this a religion connection and I'll be very difficult.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, I'm not good at religion, oh boy. Okay, difficult role 16 plus zero. I don't know how difficult you made it, but that's a 16 plus zero. I made it a 16. Did you actually?

Speaker 5:

make it. I did really die. Ghost of the attacker. Yep, okay. So, um, I was like 15. I was like, no, it's a little harder than that. 16. All right, so you make this big uh version of of your mask or your face.

Speaker 1:

My mask, the mask, all right, I've tried to do it as much as I. I've seen reflections of myself as time passed, so Yep.

Speaker 5:

So your mask, uh, with its mustache and gold cracks along it, uh, flashes very quickly, um, in the, the cathedral of opulence, uh, St Sebastian stops his dancing and your vision fades Um and it comes back into the room. Uh, even, uh, incredible, or considered forced. Does not remove the mask.

Speaker 1:

Further testing needs to be done again. I kind of figured, kind of figured that to be the case. I know you're not talking to me, hey, what was your name again?

Speaker 5:

I'm sorry, we, we don't give out our names. Um, all right. So, uh, the the back plate. Let's try and remove love that. And then, barring any success there, uh, we will just remove the head, since that seems to be detachable. All right, um, so they actually come to the, the back plate. That seems to be a different metal than the rest of it. It's more crudely made. And they begin removing the rivets. You remember that this was put there by Father Dell? Yeah, so it is not as thoroughly made as everything else. That's my helmet. I told you this was going to come back to bite in the ass, saying that you have a soft spot and now it has. All right. So, they, they get that removed and, uh, they basically see more metal in here. But a little bit, a few exposed contraptions of your working. Um, the one that's operating behind you turns around to your face. Okay, so what does this? Um, what do these mechanisms do if we interrupt any of their operation?

Speaker 1:

Which ones? What? What are they asking about? The ones in the back of your head? Oh well, unfortunately for me, uh, if you mess with those too much, I would not be able to tell you anything. I guess that's kind of unfortunate for you as well. That plate was put there to protect me from what you're about to fuck with.

Speaker 5:

Uh, so potential um obstacles to cognizance? Uh, noted, okay, sure. Um, all right, we'll we'll come back to that later and they start getting more utensils and getting more thorough to what they're doing.

Speaker 1:

Suggestion suggestion, I would put the plate back. Uh, if you want to learn more about me, I can answer any of your questions. You don't need to take me apart. It makes no sense. I'm complete, plus, I'm partial to this body.

Speaker 5:

Leave the plate exposed. Um, we will continue our operation as we see fit. I'm not certain that, uh, a being typically knows much about its own operation If it's not been taught. So, um, you said you created yourself, but tell me, how is that possible? Oh?

Speaker 1:

Oh well, at this point I don't know that I really want to. I think you guys are probably very fun at parties.

Speaker 5:

All right, um, that's sarcasm, agreed, all right? Uh, I'd like to tell you a couple of things about your request that you made yesterday. We reached out to a few of those, especially at Castor Haven Um. Nothing was returned. There is no cantilever at Castor Haven, um. Whether or not you believe me on that is up to you. None of your, none of your other names returned anything either. There was no, uh, argo Malcott, um, and uh, I understand, I understand, I understand.

Speaker 1:

I don't know about the cantilever, but Argo does make sense. One more name for you to check out for me. Please reach out to my really good friend Bindover.

Speaker 5:

How could you make a note of Bindover?

Speaker 3:

And his wife Eileen Dover.

Speaker 4:

God.

Speaker 5:

All right, um, and and just to, to note as well, uh.

Speaker 2:

My comedic sarcasm senses its angling.

Speaker 5:

Uh, the, the Queen's, uh, primary historian, um, has no recollection of you. They are not curious in this particular operation we're running here either, especially when it comes to criminals. So sorry to say that, uh, they won't be reaching out either. Dope, dope, dope Um very, very interesting.

Speaker 1:

Um, okay, Okay, well, continue your business. I suppose I don't think I have a choice.

Speaker 5:

Um, after some increasingly intense rounds of of probing, uh, they end up uh leaving and taking their notes and everything with them.

Speaker 3:

Intense probing. Intense probing Six gets probed. Intense.

Speaker 4:

Click now. Click now for probing.

Speaker 1:

Um, okay, don't click that.

Speaker 5:

Okay, okay, uh, we'll switch over to Archie now. Archie, you have been pretty much uh without contact for the past day. Um, you've gotten a bowl of soup, uh of gruel, and a loaf of bread, uh, as you are meals today.

Speaker 2:

Oh shit, they're giving out soup now.

Speaker 5:

It's uh, cold, um, eventually, you do hear, uh, the clicking of boots against the floor Expensive boots, you can tell and the slide on the door opens up and you can hear a voice coming from outside. That is very familiar.

Speaker 6:

Hello brother.

Speaker 2:

You don't get to call me there anymore, oh are we not family anymore? No, but I know what your family looks like now.

Speaker 6:

Well, that's that's all right, because uh they're gonna know what it looks like for you to hang Hardly.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna burn you and everything you love to the fucking ground and dance on the ashes.

Speaker 5:

You uh you kill kids, uh you uh kill my sons Both of them.

Speaker 2:

I'll kill anything with the name Hardly that originally had the name Hardly. I will sort the fucking ground your family was born on.

Speaker 5:

Do you? Uh, you wanna know what I've been doing the past few years.

Speaker 2:

Uh, hopefully rotting, but that doesn't appear to be the fact.

Speaker 5:

So no, no, I've been thriving, it's been good. Business is booming. Legitimate now yeah, you always talked about that. Maybe one day we could be legitimate folk. Uh yeah, didn't think it was gonna happen your way, so it sure as shit happened mine.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, the way that you know you murdered everybody who ever did anything good for you. Yeah, it's a great way to pull it. It's a great way to pull it. I mean, I didn't murder them.

Speaker 5:

What? My hands that slipped votes Well, except for, except for one. Uh, uh, I see I can't. I can't remember his name. Uh, it's been so long. Uh, james, was it? Yeah, remember how that felt.

Speaker 6:

Fuck.

Speaker 2:

I hope you revel in it. I truly do Cause for every second of pain you caused my brothers or cost you an hour, a pound, a shekel or a fucking Eider of your family's flesh, and I will have it, even if it's the last thing I do.

Speaker 5:

You know, I do, uh, I do want to say I, I can't feel bad for these kids. Um, never could find the older one. Yeah, he seemed to have disappeared afterwards. Shame seemed the enterprise and sort. But uh, the younger one, well, victor, he was, uh, he's a good boy. He doesn't really know what all happened, thinks you're a bad guy, thinks you killed his dad. Uh, so he's doing well in the business. I've got to say my business in case I wasn't clear.

Speaker 2:

Victor can do what he wishes after I get my weight that is owed in Adley flesh. If he chooses to come after me because he does not believe what really happened, that is his choice as a man. You, however, signed your death sentence a long time ago and I'm going to enjoy pulling your tongue out of your fucking throat.

Speaker 5:

Can't do much from inside this cell, can you? And I think, uh, I think we might have gotten a good old Glyam's felic on the case for this one too. So I think you'll probably be getting the death sentence this time. There's no shipping you down to the camps, uh, and there's certainly no, uh, no sense in trying to lock you up again. We both know how that ended last time.

Speaker 6:

So look forward. We'll make you think it's going to end any different.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to chase you like a pack of wolves chases its prey.

Speaker 5:

Oh, I'm the wolf now and yeah, good, old, old old Adley in charge of the white wolves, kind of an homage to what you did.

Speaker 2:

You didn't even come up with your own fucking name. Good niece, I should have left you on the fucking stone crying in the rain, like I found you, you know that's funny.

Speaker 5:

I did, I did love you. I could, brother, and I know you might not believe me, but you just couldn't see the bigger picture. And when you toss all my ideas aside every fucking time, we could have never worked it out.

Speaker 2:

I always knew you were a fucking sod. All right, okay, I'm behind a metal door. Oh, can't even look me in the fucking face. No, as usual, adley, you your business. Your son's not Victor, of course, because he's not your son, but that's all right. All cowards, because that's all. Hadley's ever breed. And now you know how it goes. Anayus, because the wolf is on the hunt and tonight the blood will spray.

Speaker 5:

Let's we move back over to the cells there are. I mean, it's always dark down in here, but from the few slivers of light that you get, you can tell that through your hole, your toilet hole, is in the ground. You can tell somehow that it's nighttime outside. Actually, the most telling thing is that Sardo is currently on duty. So Sardo has just dropped off your food, indicating that is this is your dinner and some time passes. What do you do?

Speaker 4:

Mark Park. I think I have an idea.

Speaker 3:

I was thinking about asking if you had any good tricks up your sleeve. What do you have in mind?

Speaker 4:

I'm going to go to sleep.

Speaker 3:

That sounds very boring.

Speaker 4:

But, but I'm not actually. I'm going to make a pile of clothes because I'm small and we have a blanket, right? Do I have a blanket Can?

Speaker 5:

I have a blanket, please.

Speaker 4:

OK, I'm going to. I'm going to, I'm going to strip, but I'm going to put my clothes under the blanket and make it like a little little bubble under there and make it think I'm asleep. But I want you to talk to Sardo, so he comes out here and the door is open, so maybe I can go upstairs.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you're going to sleep. I got it, marburg has hair quotes and winks.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm going to sleep.

Speaker 3:

Oh, ok, all right, I'll distract Sardo. Hey, hey, and I do. I have something that I can grab to like a nice little metal bars. All right, I take my metal cut and.

Speaker 6:

I bang it between the bars.

Speaker 3:

Hey, sardo, come over here please.

Speaker 5:

You hear? You heard small steps coming on the stairs. Hey, it is sleep time, sir.

Speaker 3:

Hey, listen, sorry, sardo, please, I just wanted to. I wanted to give you a chance to redeem yourself and see if you wanted that handshake, and I reach my hand through the bars in an attempt to shake his hand again. Please, brother, we're not enemies. All I want to do is show you kindness and friendship.

Speaker 5:

All right, he's going to. I'm going to let him roll insight on your persuasion. Check to see if he thinks I mean, are you intended to do that? I mean, are you intending to fuck with him? Maybe just roll persuasion. I'm not worried about just roll persuasion, it's a 13 plus four, 17. Ok, 17. All right. So, while that's going on, Osiris, what are you doing?

Speaker 4:

I'd like to wild shape into a rat. I imagine that was like hiding somewhere under the bed or you know, somewhere not as easily spotable, I guess.

Speaker 2:

They probably wouldn't give a shit about rat anyway, I mean it's a rat.

Speaker 4:

You know there's probably tons of rats down here, or something.

Speaker 5:

OK, all right, so you've, you've, turned into a rat. Sardo's moved over to reach his hand out to Mark Bark because he's facing Mark Bark, or at least looking at him.

Speaker 4:

So he's not looking really behind him. So I'm going to like rat rat crawl my little way through the bars, OK so there's going to be a couple of things here.

Speaker 5:

He reaches out to shake his hand, to shake your hand, mark Bark. He's like all right, by guns, be by guns, I am, I'm this is so weird. But he reaches his hand out.

Speaker 3:

I could tell you were a smart gentleman, and I shake his hand.

Speaker 5:

OK, all right, roll stealth for me, please, at advantage.

Speaker 4:

OK.

Speaker 5:

It is going to be rat stealth. So what are rat stats?

Speaker 4:

What are rat stats?

Speaker 1:

I'd imagine they're pretty stealthy.

Speaker 4:

Well, they have good dark sense and a keen sense of smell. Let's see.

Speaker 3:

Mark Bark is like still kind of gripping and vigorously shaking his hand.

Speaker 5:

OK, yeah, you get a plus zero to stealth. Ok, that's fine, so roll just straight D 20.

Speaker 4:

Fifteen.

Speaker 5:

That's advantage.

Speaker 4:

OK, let me roll again. Nineteen OK.

Speaker 5:

There you go. Ok, all right. You slide between the bars and begin making your way up the stairs. Mark Bark, do you Sardo, sitting there shaking your hand, do you just? Is this a normal handshake?

Speaker 3:

I'm gripping it very, very, very tightly and I slow down the speed of the handshake and I look at him and say never trust a criminal son. And I pull him forward so he bonks his head on the bars.

Speaker 6:

OK Roll strength.

Speaker 5:

He's going to roll actually roll athletics. He's going to roll at disadvantage against you. He wasn't expecting this.

Speaker 3:

That is a 17 plus two.

Speaker 5:

OK BONG, you slam him into the bars and he ricochets off. Are you or do I mean, are you trying to pull him in close against these things?

Speaker 3:

No, no, I just like wanted to bonk his head and let him go.

Speaker 5:

OK, all right. Yeah, he falls down on his ass and he goes. I oh, you've taught me a lot about criminal scum. He said, huh, and he marches out, storms out back up the stairs. All right, when I?

Speaker 2:

remember that?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, are you waiting at the door up at the top, Osiris well, would he have left the door open if he was just being called down there?

Speaker 5:

You look up the stairs. He did not leave the door open.

Speaker 4:

Hmm, so is there like a clearing at the top of the stairs? Like you know, more than just a little like OK, I'm going to. I'm going to go into the corner where on the side where the door swings open, like I'm in that corner of the door swinging this way, like closest to the entrance, and I'm going to like sit in the corner facing away from him and nibbling at something in the corner.

Speaker 5:

OK, All right. He walks up the stairs and I mean, if you're trying to, if you're no longer trying to, you're just trying to be inconspicuous. No longer stealth and hide.

Speaker 4:

I am being a rat.

Speaker 3:

OK, Quick rat Cyrus climbed through the pool.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, eww, fucking this guy. Well, the decision has already been made. Decisions disgusting creatures and he kind of should put a foot towards you as he opens the door and walks out of the room or walks into the other room.

Speaker 4:

Can I like? Scurry past him, scurry on to him, sure Jump around.

Speaker 5:

Yep, you walk in rabbit Act, rabbit Sure Like no, no, no.

Speaker 4:

I don't know if I want to act. Rabbit, because he might kill me.

Speaker 5:

All right, what do you want to do?

Speaker 4:

I just want to be a rat and try to scurry past him, because I see an entrance.

Speaker 5:

All right. So you scurry into this next room with Sardo and the door shuts behind you.
