Today we have Courtney Wendzicki as our guest speaker. In our conversation, Courtney shares her own personal career journey with us. After graduating with a Bachelors in public relations, a business minor, and excellent recommendation letter from an internship that she held at a well renowned company, she quickly became disappointed when doors were not opening as quickly as she would have hoped. Her authentic transparency in our conversation will hopefully encourage you to be your child’s greatest cheerleader and coach to not give up and keep on knocking on doors. Sometimes, they may give up when that very next door was the one with an opportunity! If there is something Courtney will offer all of us is her transparency about her journey. Not many people will do that, and I think we all can learn from her experience. Looking back, she would have kept on persisting and not giving up so quickly but life happens and ultimately she has learned from her journey to ultimately land in her current position as a female-entrepreneur with Confetti Worthy Media. And friends, she is just now getting started!! Her small business aims to help others start their own businesses, assist with social media management, content creation and branding. Both of her parents were entrepreneurs and small business owners and although no fault to them, she wished they would have had a different reframe or point of view to what they had accomplished and done. Maybe she would have found this to be her true calling earlier in life. Parents, we have the power to limit or BROADEN the doors of opportunity for our children. So momfluencer’s out there, let’s pick the latter!!Other topics we discuss:·

The Forever Job. Really, Sonia? Haha or not.·

A small discussion and review on the book You Turn·

Finding your niche and expanding from there·

Women and career optionsOne of the many tips you will hear on this episode is to encourage yourself and your children to enjoy the process or journey because you may not ever get to your destination But in a good-sense…because as human-beings we are always constantly evolving and changing and that next job opportunity might just be the stepping stone to something bigger and greater for you.A big shout-out to our mutual friend @kaciaghetmeri who has been an inspiration, a mentor and a friend to both of us!
