Speaker 1:

I have another bonus episode for you, my friend, and this one is to highlight a scholarship opportunity for your teen. If you are a Hispanic Latino student and you're listening in, then this is the scholarship to apply for. This scholarship is a partnership between the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities with Cafe Bustelo. They are going to be awarding $25,000 scholarship opportunities. To enter, students need to complete an online application, which I'm going to include the link in the show notes, so make sure you check out that link. And all you have to do is write an essay in English or Spanish with 800 words or less, responding to the following topic Describe how your Latino heritage, family and the community in which you grew up have impacted your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree. Describe what you intend to accomplish with your degree and how you will give back to your community.

Speaker 1:

The scholarship opportunity is available to undergraduate and graduate students of all majors who are enrolled full-time at a HACU member institution, or 18 years old or older, of Hispanic or Latino descent, and a US citizen or permanent legal resident. So make sure you check out that information. I'll have a little bit of a summary in the show notes, along with the link. The deadline to submit this application is June 30th 2024. So this summer, my friend. So click on the link and start creating your essay. All right, that's it for this bonus episode. And don't forget to subscribe and follow the College and Career Ready podcast so you are alerted as soon as a bonus episode or our weekly episode is released. Again, that's College and Career Ready podcast. And if you share this with a friend, I would be so grateful, because the more we grow our community, the more opportunities I will have to share with all of you. All right, my sweet friend, until next time, stay well, be present and enjoy the journey. I'll talk to you on our next episode.
