God told Joshua to be strong and courageous as he took Moses's place as leader of God's people--the Israelites. These were big shoes to fill. He wasn't called to courage because the road would be easy, but because God would be with him. In seasons of transition and uncertainty, obedience is the gateway to breakthrough.
