Lauren's Story

December 12, 2022 OnBrand Podcast Studio Season 1 Episode 5
ENOUGH! Stopping the Mental Health Stigma.
Lauren's Story
Show Notes

On the surface Lauren appears to be your average Senior at Loveland High. She’s outgoing, bubbly, carefree, and seems filled with hope for the future. Like many of her peers, she spends most of her time thinking about school, boys, volleyball, and her part time barista gig. She’s your sister, your neighbor, that girl in your class.

What you wouldn’t be able to immediately notice about Lauren is the emotional pain she’s dealt with much of her life. Her battles with mental health have left its scars but they have also turned Lauren into one of the bravest, most honest, empathetic, and wisest young ladies we’ve ever had the pleasure of interviewing. Lauren has experienced the depths of human sadness and has managed to claw her way back to the surface thanks to inpatient and outpatient counseling, a wonderful boyfriend, and the most supportive family a girl could ask for.

Tune in while we talk about the pressures of being a high school student in the era of COVID, the attempts to get help, and her sage secret to life – not taking yourself too seriously.

 Don’t miss this one, folks!
