Welcome, welcome, welcome. We are live in Branch View Studios with producer Tim, Commissioner Kyle, Miles and yours truly. I always forget. So we just played the week four games. So is this the week five podcast? Oh, yeah. Yeah, because we set up the week five games. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_03It just feels weird because we've been doing it like on Thursday and Friday nights, and we're doing it. It's the earliest we've recorded all year.
SPEAKER_00This is uh Tuesday evening.
SPEAKER_01Getting our shit together. It's it's nice because we're it there's going to be more integrity in our picks because teams will have not already played when we're picking players, yeah. We probably won't perform as well.
SPEAKER_02It's true. Our picks have been on point. On point. Speaking of picks that have been on point, um, has anybody seen that guy on uh Twitter X? He's like, he's got he's got something wrong with him, but he makes like picks every week, and they're fantastic picks. Like he'll be like, take the under on the you know Broncos game, and it hits. But he's hit like people have done stats on him. He's hit like 113 and only lost like 10 or something. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02And he's like, let's get this money. And he's definitely like, he's got some that sounds like a clip we need to pull. He's got some like jeans missing or something. Like something is not right about him. But yeah, it's good stuff. But our picks have been good too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, we've done a pretty good job.
SPEAKER_02Well, how we feeling, fellas. We are uh well into the season. What is this? Not quite a quarter of the way through. About a quarter of the way through, yeah. Is that right?
SPEAKER_00Lots of lots of top-tier talent injuries out there, if sure feels like.
SPEAKER_03Oh man. Yeah. Did did you guys see the Tyreek injury?
SPEAKER_00No, I was asleep.
SPEAKER_03Oh I didn't see it. He he's done. Like forever. Like that's probably the last game he'll ever play.
SPEAKER_00They now say he he's not requiring additional surgery.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's it's I didn't have surgery.
SPEAKER_01He'll play again. I didn't see it live, but I saw the the replay of it. Will he be the same?
SPEAKER_03Like, his his foot like goes. It's not just like the knee dislocating as in like one that bends in. No, it's like the whole thing's going the wrong direction. It was just I mean, you think just at his age and everything.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01How old is Tariq Hill?
SPEAKER_0032?
unknownOoh.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Right there on that downward.
SPEAKER_02And he's a speed, like he's a speed twitchy receiver. You know, it's not a straight.
SPEAKER_03I heard on a podcast they were talking that there was a similar injury to what happened. I don't remember what the running back's name was, but he was like early in his career.
SPEAKER_01Talking about Willis McGahey. Remember that? I do remember that. I was at Kindle's Ohio State.
SPEAKER_02Kendall and I watched that live at his house. I mean, his his leg was just flapping. Yeah. I didn't even know what an ACL was before that. For real.
SPEAKER_00That was the original ACL injury.
SPEAKER_02I was like, what? Your knee can break.
SPEAKER_00So we lost Tyreek, Malik neighbors out for the year. Done. Lamar. Yeah, that'll be a couple weeks, probably. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Who else went out this week? Anyone else big? I don't know if that I think just the neighbors and and Tyreek.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I I didn't tell you this. We weren't we weren't together at this point. He's down again. This like stereotypical New Yorker comes up to me towards the end of the afternoon at the Ryder Cup.
SPEAKER_02And so for those of you who don't know the background of the story, Quincy and I went to the Ryder Cup this past weekend in New York.
SPEAKER_00And so and I don't know if you noticed this, but like you didn't have very good cell reception. And this younger guy comes up to me, stereotypical New Yorker. Did he think you're Eric Swava? And he said, um, because I was I was also streaming the Ryder Cup while I was at the Ryder Cup. And because in those grandstands over there, they had Wi-Fi that worked. So sorry, I'm making a short story long. Um and he sees like I have my phone out and he said, Hey, I haven't had service all day. Uh do you know the giant score? And he like in this heavy, in this heavy like New York accent. And I said, guess what? He said, What? I said, papers towards me.
SPEAKER_01He'll always remember where he was when he found that on her neighbor's day too.
SPEAKER_00Oh, what was his reaction? Like the surrender cobra.
SPEAKER_01Let me paint a picture for you, my friend. And that's an hey but neighbors is injured in Jackson Dart in your cornerback. That's it, hey, but they're winning.
SPEAKER_02Dude. Well, when when we were checking at the hotel, I told you this, but um, it was some New York guy in he was checking us in, and uh he was like, Where are you guys from? And I said, Indianapolis. And he's like, Daniel fucking die. God damn giants. Yeah. I was like, dude, can you imagine you still had Saquon and Dives and neighbors? And he's like, I know.
SPEAKER_04But yeah.
SPEAKER_00All right, let's talk about results from week four. Let me start with mine, top of the list. Excuse me. Played Jake from State Farm. Kind of came down to Monday Night Football. Jake had two players. He had Garrett Wilson and J.K. Dobbins going in, and he was down, I think, close to 40 points. It might have been like right out 40. Uh Garrett Wilson had a nice game, 17 points. Um J.K. Dobbins had 11. Ended up losing 106 to 94, so lost by 12. You know, my 106 points, that's I think a good score in our league. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, although one of your lower scoring weeks.
SPEAKER_00One of my lower scoring weeks, um, no, no one really had a massive game other than Josh Jacobs. I mean, he played amazing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, almost 30 points.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Otherwise, pretty, pretty mild performance. Javante Williams.
SPEAKER_02He looks so good. 17 and a half points. Like he is the running back six.
SPEAKER_03Which starting out the season, nobody wanted like, you know, they were there saying, no, it's not going to be very good.
SPEAKER_02Like this is why I talk about these goddamn fantasy pundits, is because like was there a single fantasy pundit out there that was like, hey, you might want to take a shot on Javante Williams. I know nobody's high on him, but no, I didn't hear a single person say you know, eight three round pick and he's only 25. Yeah, that's what's crazy. He see it feels like he's 32. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Quincy, what's your uh what's your take on Lamar? What's what are what are Cromardi kids Cromartie's kids going to do? What are the Ravens gonna do?
SPEAKER_00Ravens are in a tough spot. Um I think the game was out of hand. They don't want to risk a reinjury, even if it's nothing serious. I think they are going to sit him. Even if he could play week five, they sit him until after by week seven. We don't see Lamar Jackson until week eight. Give him two weeks off. Three weeks off.
SPEAKER_03Instead of doing like uh Mike Evans where he comes back too injured or too early and then it just keeps reinjured.
SPEAKER_00Just because his legs matter so much. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um so But by then, are the Ravens two in five?
SPEAKER_00Two and six? That is the risk. Yeah. And they're that that's a big risk. Cooper Rush. Who? The great Cooper Rush.
SPEAKER_03I don't think he's okay in Dallas. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't remember him being. He started on Thanksgiving one year.
SPEAKER_02I almost think the Ravens, because their schedule has been fucking tough to start the year. Like they've played the Chiefs, they played the Bills, they played, I mean Lions. Yeah. So I do think with Cooper Rush, like they're gonna scheme and game plan of like, hey, we gotta get our fucking defense better, and let's give the fucking ball to Derrick Henry and don't fumble.
SPEAKER_03They have like the second or like well, maybe after this weekend they might have the worst defense. I think I was reading like I saw somewhere like they were at the bottom.
SPEAKER_02Which is wild for how many highly played and drafted players they have on defense. Um what do we think about Jake's team? I think he's gonna be alright. He seems to be hitting a little bit of a skid here. I mean, Saquon is not the Saquon of last year who's putting up, you know, no one on the Eagles is. Yeah, it's just weird. They they have what was it? They they didn't complete a single pass in the second half. Yeah, completed zero. And it this the stats are um uh like the the stats will lead you kind of down the wrong direction because Jalen Hurts had two touchdown passes. They were both like underhanded tosses to Goddard.
SPEAKER_01Like Yeah, like like almost like the running play, like with Horne. And AJ Brown owners are like, whoa, we have whiplash. You thought he figured it out. No. Who in our league owns AJ Brown? I could die.
SPEAKER_02That guy sucks.
SPEAKER_03Whoever it is. Um their defense is just unlike the they keep scoring all these points in special teams.
SPEAKER_02And then uh Chuba Hubbard for him, that backfield looks pretty split now, whereas last year was it was a big big one for him. And then this week Dobbins, it might have just been game situation because the Denver was up most of that game, but he only got 44% of snaps this week. So yeah, Harvey's kind of coming up. I don't know. I see Harvey played a lot at back. Jake's in a fine spot, but it just seems like he I don't know, is he plateauing a little bit? Maybe. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um what about uh what about the commissioner's game?
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_03You know, um Barn burner. It's actually kind of Quincy's fault. I knew that he I knew he jinxed me because he texts me. I I was literally You know who does remember that text? Well, that makes more sense too. Um I uh wait, that was like at nine o'clock in the morning, wasn't it? No, it wasn't. It was closer to like 11, I guess maybe when you text me. I don't know. I was on my way to a birthday party uh with Bo, and you text me that, and I checked the score real quick, and I was like, You got off to a hot start.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, this is great.
SPEAKER_03That's your fault.
SPEAKER_02I mean, for Kindle, he had two 29 and a half point performances from Puka and from George Pickens. Um, I didn't watch that Colts game. What happened? Like, can you talk about it? Oh my gosh. All right. I'm not asking this in like a oh be funny way.
SPEAKER_01Like, honestly, what how did the game like the Colts I think were playing pretty well? I think they other than the boneheaded mistakes, they deserve to win that game. Uh the Colts have obviously looked good, sold the Rams.
SPEAKER_02Um how does Puka have 13 receptions for 170 yards in the past?
SPEAKER_01Because I because we don't have guys that are good at being a defensive back.
SPEAKER_03Did you see on that play um it was either the touchdown play or the play that got them like within the two yards or whatever? Like a big play that they had. I I didn't see it, but um we were over at Lacey and Dan's and her dad came out and said that like one of the big plays they had right at the end, the Colts only had 10 people on the field.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. So three key plays. One AD Mitchell, a piece of shit. Okay, has an incredible touchdown pass. I mean, and that's that's a credit to Danny Dimes. Just throws him a just a rocket, runs into the end zone, and like a piece of shit, A.D. Mitchell starts celebrating early, drops the ball, it goes out the um the back of the end zone. And he immediately like realized that he dropped it. Yeah. And so you get zero points, you lose the ball, which is actually kind of a silly rule in a way. Like sure. It's a dumb rule.
SPEAKER_03But it's it'd be just that you get put on like the five-yard line or something like that.
SPEAKER_02Like you know, no, but what would happen if you were no fumble out of the end zone is a touchback at all times.
SPEAKER_01So that takes seven points off the board.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Fast forward. Jonathan Taylor escapes for a nice touchdown run. Everyone's excited on the book. Yeah, monster run, just like his best of the season. Oh. There's a flag. Who was holding on the edge? AD not. Like it didn't even matter. Didn't even matter. Took literally took 14 points off the board. And and they were in it at the end. They just couldn't do what they needed to do to win. I still think this is a good team, but they're gonna have to have one of those closed door meetings and say, we gotta lock it up. This team can be successful.
SPEAKER_00I heard he addressed the team and apologized.
SPEAKER_02He needs to send them all 14 points. He seems like he's just kind of a fucking piece of shit. You know what I'm gonna say? You know what I'm gonna say.
SPEAKER_01Where it's just like it would be better if incredible talent, right? Let's try and keep what he's in my family. He can't get out of his own fucking way. If that guy, if he ever plays again for the Colts, one, two, and if he ever scores a touchdown again for the Colts, if he doesn't just stand up and hand the ball to the referee, then they should cut him.
SPEAKER_02Well, I was saying this to Quincy. I mean, remember, we remember Jonathan Taylor doing the same thing basically last year in Denver. Um, but Jonathan Taylor in that Titans game a couple weeks ago, he did very close to the same thing. I mean, he was like a step into the end zone. Like that ball was no more than like an inch into the end zone, and he lets go of it behind him again. And I'm just like, have you not fucked? Hold on to the fucking ball.
SPEAKER_03Like you would think that everybody remembers the Deshaun Jackson.
SPEAKER_02And it doesn't look cool. Like, it doesn't look cool that you flipped it at a foot or you flip it five yards deeper in the end. Like just get in first. Go and hold on to the ball. I just don't, I do not. You know what the fans care about? The points. Yeah. Winning. So sorry, that went off a little on a tangent. So yeah, but congrats to Kindle. He gets high points on the week, uh 128.89 to 127.78 over the Green Bay Cowboys was just a crazy game for so much fantasy.
SPEAKER_03I like I never thought I didn't think Dak Prescott was gonna be that good.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's like insult to injury for you because if you would have had C D in this one, he would have been putting up probably all those points that George Pickens put up. Yeah. So it's like you not only did you have to deal with CD being out, yeah, but also George Pickens. You were playing against George Pickens this week. So um, yeah, that was basically it. And then um Kendall uh put Chase Brown in there because Jalen Warren was out. He wasn't gonna start Chase Brown.
SPEAKER_00Zach Charbonnet and Benson. That's yeah and Kenneth Walker identical games, essentially, right? Yeah. That's frustrating to watch that game.
SPEAKER_03Well, I Benson, I'm not too worried about. Like, I think it was just game script, and he's not um he's not like a two-minute offense type person, so like I think some of it was just game script. That the five targets have to be promising. Yeah, yeah. Like I I he's the better back. I think there's better days ahead. But what really frustrating is Walker and Charbonnet because Charbonnet is getting like all the goal line work, but but Walker was just like just kept Walker's obviously the better back, like Charbonnet has 12 carries for 39 yards, Walker has uh you know 19 for 81.
SPEAKER_02Like oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, can I just ask a question? Like, why do you have them both on your roster?
SPEAKER_03So the reason I had him on was because uh basically I had Zach Charbonnet in the 10th round from the previous season. So I and every time I did a mock, Kenneth Walker was basically the first back that would get to me. So I thought, well, I'll just keep Charbonnet and then I'll I'll have basically the best backup that you could have. Uh because Walker typically has some points in the season because the way he runs, he gets a little injured.
SPEAKER_01Got it. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Fair enough. It's not worked out that way, but yeah. Anyways, let's move on. Yeah, nice.
SPEAKER_02Tough loss, but it was a good one. I will give you I'll give you this. So you did say you you thought um Tyler Warren was gonna have his coming out party and he scored a touchdown, a rushing touchdown. Quincy said that actually. I'll give credit where credit's too. Uh so he had almost 16 points. And then good for you. I mean, Quentin Johnston, you spent 69 on him, but he has been unbelievable. 13 targets in this one, ends up scoring almost 20 points. Number four wide receiver in the year. Um unreal. So another close finish.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Big data, 128.76 to IUI Doc 126.02. And in Cameron needed this win. Yeah, he's now one and three.
SPEAKER_03And Cody uh So what was he was did he know that there was still a chance that Cameron could win? And he said that he was four and oh.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what that was because I guess I was trying to convince it. What is this? So Tucker Kraft was still had the his game left. Had his game, yeah. And I was like, uh And then to I I didn't watch this game, but I saw it on Twitter. Tucker Kraft had like basically two touchdowns in his hand that like they overruled or he was down like an inch. Like it was Cameron could have very easily won this.
SPEAKER_03That's why I sent that gif that was like, What? Yeah. I don't think anybody caught it.
SPEAKER_02I was almost like I was and it seemed weird that Cody would showboat like that. I was like, did his son like steal his phone?
SPEAKER_03I thought maybe he's talking about something else, and then I thought, well, maybe he's talking about the Lions. I'm like, well, no, they lost their first game of the season. So they're not 4-0. I don't know. Was he talking about the Colts? He thought that we were gonna be 4-0. I don't know. Maybe he was drunk.
SPEAKER_02I have no idea. Could have been. I mean, uh, it sucks for Cameron because he had such good high points, but I mean, Cody is just rolling and rolling with tons of rolls.
SPEAKER_01I think that's the interesting thing about it is that Cameron played a perfect game. Yeah, like his team could not do better. All right, David Montgomery, like that was uh, I think a an easy decision for him to start. David Montgomery could not have done better, still lost. Yeah. And Cody's just looking really, really good.
SPEAKER_02Well, Cameron Stream Stafford gets 27 points. Genty has his coming out party, 32 and a half. Um, David Montgomery, it's like he doesn't play him last week, has like a career game, plays him this week as a 1.2. Um Debo had a good game for him, 17. But yeah, on Cody's side, I mean Jonathan Taylor only had 12, but then Bucky Irving had 23. Eggbuka again, 18 points. Um Sun God, 22 and a half, Mahomes, 27. Mahomes is is back to fantasy relevance again.
SPEAKER_03Did you guys watch the Cardinals? He only had five rushing yards. What? I was a did you guys watch the Cardinals um Seattle game? I didn't watch any football. Uh it was like seeing Marvin Harrison catch that touchdown. It looked like there was so much like a person that just had an emotional, like took a big pause and kneeled down as if like, you know, you're yeah. That's not good.
SPEAKER_01You know, what one of the things about this game is great week for Cody. Here's the if not for A.D. Mitchell in the parallel universe, Jonathan Taylor has an extra like eight points, and then it doesn't seem as close. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um subpar 127, almost 128 to uh team beamer 76. Pete has another game. Pete moves Pete moves to 3-1. Um, the other ones, uh Cameron moves to one and three, big data obviously four and oh, um Quincy, you're at two and two, Jake's at two and two, and then Kendall's at two and two, and so is uh so is Kyle. But yeah, I mean Pete moves to three and one. Unbelievable. Uh Jordan Love 26, Bichon 26, uh Goddard with those two touchdowns, two like flicks for touchdowns, um, has 17, almost 18 points, and McCaffrey has 23. And that helps him get it done. A tough week for Team Beamer. So, what do we think about Pete and what do we think about Beamer? They're teams, not them as yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like is Pete for real? With his three-in-one record? I think he might be. Uh you talked about it last week. The fact he's got Bichon and CMC, it just gives you a few. It just gives you such a high floor. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, all do we think about his receivers? I mean, receivers obviously the weak spot.
SPEAKER_03I do think I do think that he's very like he is not like he has no bench, like zero.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and he's gonna have some buy trouble this week.
SPEAKER_02I feel like he's always been that guy. Well, I think Goddard has been a great surprise for him. I mean because first week Goddard has eight points, then ten points, now eighteen points. Like that's as good as you can expect out of any tight end. Um but yeah, then on on Beamer's side, obviously, um, you know, he had James Connor go down last week. Um, he doesn't play RJ Harvey this week, who had 20 points. That could have helped him.
SPEAKER_03I still think I still think Beamer's team still has I I think he's still got better days ahead. I mean I mean Williams he had one catch that he should have caught, but there was like several catches that Goff just threw terrible. Like he was either way under or way over thrown, and he would have probably scored a lot more. So I I just you know, and and he's got potentially now you're gonna have Rashad White come in with um yeah, if uh Irving is up in the air. And so I I I still think he has I mean, it's not I'm out on Beamer.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, just completely out.
SPEAKER_02Higgins is a big hit. Yeah, the Higgins thing hasn't worked, but he plays Turpin last week.
SPEAKER_00We're also getting close to uh Daylight savings time. Yeah. Falling back. And when that happens, we lose Corbin for the season. We do.
SPEAKER_02It's almost like did Corbin see his shadows. Is he going to pay attention this year? Is he not? We don't know. I will say we have got to at least discuss this kickoff return point issue. So we put this rule in like three years ago. Cody proposed it. And at the time, there weren't they hadn't like moved up the kickoff. They hadn't changed the kickoff rules. Cavante Turpin in this game, because the Cowboys defense is so goddamn terrible, he has 175 kick return yards. Outside of that, he only has third he has three catches and 34 total yards in the game, and he ends up scoring 11.9 points.
SPEAKER_00So he got 4.9 points from traditional fantasy. So we got he got seven points.
SPEAKER_02From just kick return. And it's not like he returned one for a touchdown. It is they have changed the rules of the kickoff. So basically you have to kind of kick it in bounds now. And guys are automatically getting 25 yards every time. I don't see that. So that's one point every single time. And it's it you could literally Quincy and I could get back there and at least get half a point every kick return. We die afterwards.
SPEAKER_03Maybe we adjust the point structure a little bit, but I actually don't mind it. I don't think it's any different than uh somebody like um what's his nuts from uh New Orleans, where you could play him basically in any position on your roster at any point.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Taysom Hill.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Like I think it's it's you know, it's just part of the game.
SPEAKER_02There are so many players that like you don't even you would never they're not relevant in the game. They are not relevant as a NFL player, and they're scoring four or five points a week off purely kick returns. Hey, it's a team sport. You need everybody. Yeah, but it's just yeah. So it basically you're guaranteed like 25 yards every time. You're guaranteed a point every kick return. Uh, what do you think, Quincy? What's your opinion on it? I don't really care. Quincy's in a I don't care. Quincy's in Quincy's. I did say he's in a weird headspace. Weird headspace right now. Nilas Quincy's back. Yeah. Uh next up, SCLSU muddogs 115 to uh this is the year 7.0's 96.6. Bo Nick's had a good game, almost 36 points. James Cook does it again, 21. Uh Jefferson. He kind of has a nice game. Yeah. 11 targets. 17 and a half.
SPEAKER_01They closed really well because the the Vikings were playing like garbage for the first like three quarters.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Cortland Sutton has quietly had a really good year. Um he's the wide receiver 11 right now. Um Hunter Henry had a good week for him, almost 11 points. DeAndre Swift had 14. Um on Titty's side, Josh Allen, 25. Um, Travis Etienne, 19 again. Brian Thomas doesn't do much. 8. Um and then Ferguson for Dallas at 13 and a half. But he can't do that. He obviously had Tyreek Hill go out.
SPEAKER_00Um but on the flip side, uh, Wandale Robinson stock probably goes up. And he's at and he's another another week closer to getting Rasheed Rice. So he gets Rasheed back in two. He's two and two, he's still in the mix, no doubt about it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So why why not play though um like Crosby Merritt?
SPEAKER_02Why not play Crosby Merritt and he was hurt most of the week, so maybe that's why he didn't play him. Um yeah, he like didn't practice for like half the week. So but yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And Jake Ferguson's the number two tight end overall. Wow.
SPEAKER_02Um What do you think about Maxwell?
SPEAKER_00I don't really care for him.
SPEAKER_02What do you think about his team?
SPEAKER_00Uh you know. It's a it's it's one of those teams that could maybe like play spoiler back into the season. Not this is not a championship team like that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's not like he it's one of those teams that like he doesn't just jump off the page of scaring you, yeah, but he could be a tough opponent any week. Yeah, because Jefferson's not gonna be a good thing.
SPEAKER_01I know it would be great. I know we've been I know we've been trying to get Maxwell to get on the pod, but he like won't do it. That is strange. We ask and we're gonna. And maybe like maybe maybe next week.
SPEAKER_00Ryan, you want to come on next week?
SPEAKER_01Maybe next week.
SPEAKER_00Maybe next week. Maybe next week. You know, but it just he keeps turning us down. Do you remember that uh Jimmy Kimmel bit with Matt Damon?
SPEAKER_04I'm sorry, we just ran out of time.
SPEAKER_02That's back when Jimmy Kimmel used to be funny. I'm sorry, we ran out of time, Matt Damon. Couldn't you, John? Um, next game, fill in holes, uh, 67 points. Scotty gets it done with 88.6. Wow, this is the toilet bowl this week. Uh Scotty moves to two and two, even though he has had some tremendous struggles. Phil with neighbors going out, moves to one and three. Um Phil didn't have much this week. I mean, A chain had 16. Odunze looked really good again, had another touchdown, almost 15 points. Odunze is the wide receiver.
SPEAKER_03Wait, you said he didn't play Gainwell. Yeah, he started gain well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was confusing. Oh, I must have uh I must have been looking at the wrong week. My bad. Maybe he was like for next week. Yeah, I was like, I think I was looking at that.
SPEAKER_00Um Justice Hill had 31 and a half. Unbelievable. 133 kick return yards. 41 receiving yards, a touchdown, 76 yards, rushing. This is what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_02So this is what I'm talking about. Scotty, un Scotty's unbelievable because he puts in Gainwell last week, he gets like 10 points out of him. Jalen Warren's like a surprise scratch. He plays Gainwell, gets 30 fucking points out of him. Like who who's expecting that?
SPEAKER_03I actually like his team doesn't look great right now, but Waddle's gonna get a bump. Yeah, and uh Godwin's gonna probably have better days.
SPEAKER_00And he just stole a victory out of out of mouth's out of the defeat of mouth, mouth's defeat, whatever you want, however you say that. Yeah, but with Aaron Jones dead, Tajay Spears, Terry McLaren, Jalen Reed, all these guys that are injured, and he still gets a victory.
SPEAKER_02So you you gotta be Henry scoring less than seven points. So it's it's like you take the win and move. Yeah. How do we feel feel about Phil?
SPEAKER_03Well, well, now he definitely has a hole to fill. Yeah. Neighbors still back to filling holes.
SPEAKER_02Neighbors goes out. I mean, Dobbs for him was on his bench, had 27 points. Um, I don't know. Uh yeah, neighbors going out's obviously a big deal, but well, you said it on the car right over.
SPEAKER_00McConkey's not gonna be who McConkie was last season, it seems like.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he doesn't look as good. He had like two kind of big drops. I mean, not big drops, but he he definitely fumbled the ball a few. I did watch some of that games. Have you guys ever seen the movie Basketball?
SPEAKER_02Back it was like late 90s. South Park guys, but you know the scene where they have that little that like friend who's super tiny and they're they always call him a little bitch. It always reminds me of Woody, but but he's like, he's like, well, he's like, why can't I play it? He's like, well, because you're a little bitch. But anyway, I saw a toy tweet today that was basically uh Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston talking to the lad McConkey. Why can I get the ball? Because you're a little bit. Well, because you're a piece of shit.
SPEAKER_00You know, he might get a bump with Brees Hall, uh, with Braylon Allen going down. Yeah. Because they've been in like a 60-40 type of share. Yeah. Give or take.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Odunze's still been fine. I do think he can play Keenan Allen probably most weeks or Dobbs. Um he'll be able to kind of maybe piecemeal it through.
SPEAKER_00Last matchup, right?
SPEAKER_02I didn't talk about yours. Mine, um, 86 to uh chasing TDs, 112. Um, I just got no fire, man. You're one and three. I got no, I got no guns. Um Drake London did have a good game with 21. AJ Brown, nine targets, less than two points. Devontae Adams, another good game, 13 and a half. Um I played the wrong quarterback. I should have started uh it wouldn't have mattered though. Wouldn't have mattered. I should have started uh Justin Fields at 27.
SPEAKER_00But I mean, and you know the rookie roster continues to roll. Yeah. So Marion Hampton, 25. Yeah, Scattabu, 12.5.
SPEAKER_02I mean, this is with Jamar Chase having less than five points. He still hasn't figured out quarterback. He played Gino this week, less than 10. Um Judkins, yeah, 19 and a half.
SPEAKER_00Like and he didn't play Xavier Worthy, which I understand because it was his first week back, but he had a nice game. Yeah.
SPEAKER_0214 and a half. So you put worthy in there. I mean, I guess who does he play worthy? I don't know. Because you gotta play those three running backs, you know?
SPEAKER_00May maybe benches Jamar Chase. I mean, that Cincinnati team at least too.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's what I was gonna say. So if you if you had which would you rather have from uh Jamar Chase? Would you rather have a Kuka the rest of the season or Jamar Chase?
SPEAKER_02And I don't get to get the keyboard. Like a trade, I don't care how you want to put it. That is a very good question. Well uh Joe Burrow's out like three months, right?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02I gotta still say Jamar Chase.
SPEAKER_00I would still say Jamar Chase, I think.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Um Jamar Chase or AJ Brown? Jamar Chase.
SPEAKER_00Okay, easy.
SPEAKER_03Um I'm trying to think of it. Are you an idiot?
SPEAKER_01You want my team?
SPEAKER_03Okay, Jamar Chase, uh Drake London. Uh Drake London. Jamar Chase, Nico Collins. That's close. I think I go Nico Collins.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01You got any input here, Tim? I'm just here for the um I'm just here for the debate.
SPEAKER_02Trying to think about I I mentioned this to the guys in the car, so I will mention it to the league. I am open for business. I am uh considering my 2025 campaign complete. And I MAGA will be building for the future. So um I I have real I have some good pieces that I think can help a lot of teams. Um anyone who might be interested in moving, uh good flex plays for the future, uh, whether it be a top-end first round type of guy or just a good value type of guy, I am open for business. And I don't even need equal value. I'm just building for tomorrow. Wow.
SPEAKER_00We're done. All right, Paga.
SPEAKER_02So I took my shot, it didn't work, but I admit it.
SPEAKER_00That is the week four matchups. Nothing to talk about on the waiver wire because it hasn't happened yet. It'll happen tomorrow morning. Yep. We had last week's. Did we talk about last week's already?
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. Because we would have had Thursday.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's funny. I will say on um the picks, we're all doing pretty good this year, except for the quarter. The quarter is 11 and 17. Um, last week it was two two and five. Um, Tim, you were five and two on the week. Hell yeah. You're at 18 and 10 overall. Quincy and Kyle um are both at 19 and 9 overall.
SPEAKER_00Quincy and 18 and 10. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh Quincy last week was three and four. Kyle was five and two. Um I was three and four. Three and four. Ouch. I'm at 17 and 9 on the season. Pretty good. Someone's not a ball knower. I'm not. You even watch football? Yeah. Well, it was that Kyle Kendall matchup that uh, you know, they got me. We all picked Phil and Scotty won. Quarter did get Scott. All right, anything else?
SPEAKER_00Power rankings.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00All right. Week four power rankings. No change at the bottom. Love the power rankings. Coming in at number 14. It's MAGA. At 13. Fill in holes. He's got 348 points overall. He's one and three, and he's lost two in a row.
SPEAKER_01Still holes to fill.
SPEAKER_00At 12. This team's two and two. They lost in week four. It's team beamer. He only has 335 points. Yeah. It's even though he's two and two, you can't put him up any higher. You can't.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he has some of the least least points on the season uh against.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, and I was I was actually back and forth on these two, but uh it it became clear as I looked at the data a little bit closer. At number 11 is Lates is out. 2-2, they won this past week. Only 351 points overall. Points four. Uh he's at 11. At 10. IUI doc. Wow. You know, he's one and three, but he's put up 401 points. That's why I put him above, right? I would have put him last.
SPEAKER_02He I mean, if he goes up against almost anybody but Scotty, but uh Cody, he wins last week.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um at nine, chase and TD. Two wins in a row, he's two and two, but only three hundred and forty-seven points four.
SPEAKER_02Uh that's because it was a slow start.
SPEAKER_00I think he's on the right track. At eight, Jake from Stafarm. Two and two, two losses in a row, three hundred and seventy-six points four, three hundred and fifty-eight against at seven, Braden Abbott. Diddy. Wow. At six, that's DLT mud dogs.
SPEAKER_02I think you have him too high. Maxwell? Yeah. I think those last three or four could be jostled a little bit.
SPEAKER_00Cameron and Cameron and I think what I would say is his max points for is 456, which is above average. At five is yours true, Lucas Marty's kids. At four, right to bear arms. At three is the commissioner.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Dropped a spot. At number two, the park. Oh wow, that's where was he before? Uh let me tell you just real quick. He was at four. So jump from four to two.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I thought he was further down for some. I mean, how are you feeling about this uh Pete Crown under six? Not great, bud. Not great. He's got three of them already.
SPEAKER_00And at one. No surprise here. Big data is just on a tear. This guy may be setting new records for the CCPL this year.
SPEAKER_02Unreal. I mean, Cody does carry the data for us, so if he could look up what kind of records he would be setting on at the current pace that he's on.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what's the longest win streak?
SPEAKER_02Well, what's wild is he gets he's gonna get uh um what's his name back pretty soon here? Uh Kittle. Kittle.
SPEAKER_01So I don't and this might be a discussion for um after we talk about picks this week, but I'll pose it now and you guys can decide to weigh in or not. So you have two teams, I th I think as I heard, well, three teams that are one and three. You have several teams that are two and two, and then you have one, uh, you know, then you have like there's definitely a top, there's definitely a bottom. But out of the two and two teams, who is moving up and who is moving down?
SPEAKER_02Um I'd say Kendall's Kendall's moving up, yeah. Um Chasing TDs is obviously moving up. Um Jake, I would say, move is moving down with two losses in a row. Yeah. Is it Braden? Yeah, I mean Beamer is at two and two, but he only has 335 points on the season.
SPEAKER_01Because we're only I mean, we we're only four weeks in, but it already feels like some of the storylines for the season are becoming really clear.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I think less last year basically what everyone except for one person was in it uh until the last week. Like basically one game separated making the playoffs or being the last place team. Um, but I think this year's gonna be a little different. I think there's like three or four teams that probably don't have a shot at making the playoffs.
SPEAKER_03I mean, like, you know, you look at like this is where like I think I think Braden versus IU IDoc is like too high because Braden's at like 376 points and 384 against, and like um Cameron, who's one and three, he's got four hundred points for and like four hundred against. So like if he's two and two, he's sitting in like the sixth spots. So like yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So to answer the question from earlier, the longest winning streak in league history is ten wins. How do you know this? Uh I have access to our so much data sheet.
SPEAKER_02Why don't we all have access to this?
SPEAKER_00I do have access to it. I just Phil pulled up from 2021. Who he had the 10 wins? And Pete with 10 wins in 2015. So 10 is the longest winning streak. The longest winning streak to begin a season is nine, and that's Cody from 2012.
SPEAKER_03Oh, so those ten, they were they they were four and oh. They were oh and four, and then they went on a ten. No. No. Well, no, you just said ten win streak. Are you saying the most wins in a season? No, they won't won ten games in a row.
SPEAKER_02In the season, they won ten games in a row. So they could have been one and three and then one ten in a row. It could have been oh and one. They could have been three and one and then won ten in a row.
SPEAKER_03Where did you get owed four? Well, how many how many weeks do we have? Fourteen? Is it fourteen?
SPEAKER_02Uh fourteen. Yeah, we play four.
SPEAKER_03So if they do ten in a row, yeah, and there's fourteen games. Am I adding correctly?
SPEAKER_01Kyle has got us right back to the stars. Kyle, what is wrong with you? Kyle, they could have opened one, they could have started three and ten, and it lost two.
SPEAKER_03No, no, because if if if it's listen.
SPEAKER_02All right. We're talking about two different things. They could have had, yeah, they could have started one. Yeah. They could have won one, lost one, and then gone on ten in a row.
SPEAKER_03No, if they but if they go on ten, okay, so if you win ten games in a row, make sure my math is correct here. Okay, if they were that one they could do one and three, right? You could do ten in a row.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they couldn't have been like, you know, six and three and then gone ten in a row.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Wow, I feel a lot smaller.
SPEAKER_02Are you good with the math now? I'm okay with that. I'm fascinated by this.
SPEAKER_01Holy cow. All right. You were reading some stats. I think I'm done. I'm ready to go home.
SPEAKER_03We're all dumb or down. At no point during your well, for that for the record, I was I've been power washing the treating equipment all day. So you've been in hand fumes? My brain may not be 100% working.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I don't think the chemicals are gonna make it any worse. Alright, let's talk about the matchups for this week. Uh let's start with the uh what is this a highlight of the possible uh ditch cleaning crew here? Uh we got myself versus Phil. Um. Obviously, bye-weeks are coming into it for uh. We get some bye-week problems on some of these teams. Yeah, so for Phil, Romo Dunze is out, Romeo Dobbs is out, for me, um, Caleb Williams and Drake London are out. Um, I'm still gonna give it to Phil. I think my team is just fairly hapless, even though I've got some names.
SPEAKER_00I think you win this week. I got miles.
SPEAKER_03Um Phil.
SPEAKER_01Give me Phil. And just to uh we don't have the quarter results yet, so uh max level of seven.
SPEAKER_02Next up, right to bear arms versus Jake from State Farm. Um Bye Weeks, uh not really a factor for either of these teams.
SPEAKER_00Jalen Warren, kind of, if he were healthy.
SPEAKER_02I guess so, yeah. Um, good on Kindle for picking up Darren Waller. So Jalen Warren was hurt, so he got to pick up an extra guy. Then Darren Waller goes out and scores two touchdowns. And he's got marks. Yeah, in the in the game, yeah. And Woody Marks. His bench looks pretty solid. His bench has been great all year. Um, I'm gonna go with Kindle. Uh he's he seems like one of those two and two teams that's ascending where Jake might be slipping a little bit. I will say Kindle does have Pursaw who's not gonna play. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Give me Jake to shock the world.
SPEAKER_03I've got Jake. I think it's tough for Kendall. Again, he's just battling constantly this roster.
SPEAKER_01I think Jake's got it. Gimme Kendall.
SPEAKER_02Next up, Comartis Kids versus Chase and T D's. Lamar is gonna be out for uh for Quincy. Josh Jacobs is gonna be out for Quincy. Um on Zach's side, Aaron Rodgers is out, Pitts is out. Not a big deal there. I just think it's your two top players are out. It's gotta be Zach.
SPEAKER_00I agree. I'm picking Zach. It this'll be an easy week to just concede. Zach wins. I've got Zach. Gimme Zach.
SPEAKER_02Big Data versus Titty 7.0. Uh Big Data obviously just crushing it right now. Um Tyree Kill is out for uh for Braden.
SPEAKER_00And DJ Moore's on by. She Rice is still suspended. Cody.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, give me Cody. Keep it rolling. I don't think there's any question. Cody.
SPEAKER_01I gotta go with Cody. I think it's a good thing. I am the only fan of Titty 7. You know Titty. Tiddy's gonna win this. Yeah, if he wins, I'll feel bad. And shout out to Brainman. Titty's gonna be a good one. You're gonna get disinvited to his championship celebration.
SPEAKER_02Bucky Irving doesn't play this week. So it's true. This isn't like a hands down. Titty could shock some some people this week. I think. Oh, but you didn't pick him? Can I change my pick? No. Well, if I I just feel like she can do it every week. Even Tim's not picking him? I'm sorry. Why do you feel the? Either Tim or I have to pick him. Why? I'll pick Brayden. Are we do we do we need to cradle the youngest person in our league? Like, what is integrity? I'm not like coddling him. I do think he has an okay shot. If Bucky Allen um Bucky Irving is gonna be out this week, I I feel like Braden has a shot. I'm gonna pick Braden. I can switch my pick. Um next up, Subpar versus SCLSU Mud Dogs. Uh Bijan is on by. Jordan Love is on by for uh Pete. DeAndre Swift is on by for and Matthew Golden is on bye for um SCLSE MUDOGs.
SPEAKER_00Um I think you gotta go Ryan. Yeah, look, I I think we talked about the deficiency at wide receiver for Pete, and he's got arguably his best player out uh from the running back hole. And I I think that uh I think Maxwell's gonna win this thing.
SPEAKER_03Any team that's starting Jake Browning is probably going against Detroit, I would not feel very good. So um definitely Ryan.
SPEAKER_01I'm really just kind of curious what he does. Do you think that he's gonna start Browning? No, zero shot. Right. He's gonna get somebody else. I mean, what what QBs are available? QBs are streamable. Right, that's what I mean.
SPEAKER_02Um, I mean he can go out and get what's his name from the Giants? Jackson Dart. Jackson Dart. No, he can't. He's sitting on Pineapple Express's bed.
SPEAKER_01The commissioner makes the Disappointment.
SPEAKER_03I made that decision last week. That's right.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna go ahead and see what's going on.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna take Pete because it reminded me of that Jalen Ramsey video where he's in the locker room and he talks about uh who's he defending, but he says it in like a super spicy gay way. Like, you just give off some really gay vibes, Kyle. Yep. Uh I'm gonna take Pete this week.
SPEAKER_02Alrighty. Uh next up, IUI Doc versus Pineapple Express. Big matchup. This is big for Cameron. I mean, good points on the season. Bit of a must-win. At one and three, it is a must-win. Hmm. Uh bye weeks, DK is on bye, Tucker Kraft is on by. Mike Evans obviously is still out for Cameron. CeeDee Lamb is out for you, Kyle. Jaden Daniels. Is he finally play this week?
SPEAKER_01I think he's supposed to come back. He's supposed to come back.
SPEAKER_02Um allegend. Let's get I gotta pick Cameron. I I don't think this team can start out one and four.
SPEAKER_00Gimme Kyle.
SPEAKER_03Taking myself this week. Feeling good. You got a lot of you got a lot of I think Benson's gonna have a good game.
SPEAKER_02You got a lot of confidence in yourself this year, Kyle.
SPEAKER_01With all due respect to the commissioner, I am going to take Cameron.
SPEAKER_02Alrighty. Uh last up. Team Beamer versus Lace is out. If uh Phil and I, if our matchup wasn't the uh two shittiest teams, then this is by weeks, uh Gainwell is out. That's really the only thing that matters. Uh Waddle, you would think it's a little bit of a bump for Scotty. Um I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Corbin. Um, I think Gibbs could have a good game against Cincinnati, and I think he might be able to play uh Jordan Addison this week and Rashad White if uh Irving doesn't play.
SPEAKER_00Give me Scotty.
SPEAKER_03I've got Beamer. I think Jamison Williams is due uh agree with the roster subs that Miles said. Let's go beamer.
SPEAKER_01I am going to take Scotty.
SPEAKER_03Boy, I feel like we were either well, except for Brayden, because we have to make sure that someone picks him. Uh we were either all on the same page or we split.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I I think, as you know, I'm I'm the only fan of Titty 7.0. Uh, but Big Dad is just such a great team. I think that uh I think he's gonna roll again this week.
SPEAKER_03Averaging 120 points for the season.
SPEAKER_00That's bananas. Most wins in a regular season is 12. Do you have a stupid math question about that?
SPEAKER_02Like, so 12. So how many is that? So like how many is 12? So how you get to 12? So how many how many regular season weeks do we have? 14. 14 regular season weeks.
SPEAKER_0114 regular season weeks. Okay.
SPEAKER_02But we used to only have 13. 13 regular season weeks, right? Yeah. Because they extended. I think there was a time where we had 12. 12, yeah because we left. It was the Colts rule where you would end the season two weeks early because fucking Colts used to be 14 oh no several years, and yeah. Um interesting. So who had the who who set the record with 12? Go back and look here. I think Cameron had 12 that one year.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I feel like there was one year, one of the years either that like I remember Cameron had a lot of wins one year and then he we like best teams.
SPEAKER_02Who was the number one seed last year going into the playoffs? Was it Maxwell or no? Uh the number one seed has only won our league one time.
SPEAKER_00Was it Quincy? No, Quincy wasn't. Most wins in a single season is 12. Phil in 21, me in 2011, and Chris Summers in 2011. We had two teams in the same season.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but again, those years there's an asterisk next to him because I guarantee half the league wasn't even paying attention. You know? Our league is getting so tough because it's just crazy.
SPEAKER_01So, um Quincy, uh, I mean, people want to know what you're listening to. I'm watching this Jalen Ramsey video.
SPEAKER_00Oh, well, send it to him.
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm saying? The game over with. You still mad because I was locking you up.
SPEAKER_03All right. We'll sleep on that. I'm trying to hear that up to the game.
SPEAKER_02The problem is, okay, it sounds gay, but the the faces he's making are make it even gayer.
SPEAKER_00I send it to the I send it in the chat. Um Cal, that's what you were reminding me of. Lock it up. Lock it up.
SPEAKER_03Uh, so we gotta have somebody to make fun of here. Uh Jake last year and Maxwell were both 10 and 4.
SPEAKER_02So was Maxwell the number one seed? So Maxwell would have been the second number one seed to win it.
SPEAKER_03See, that's what I say though, if you you couldn't be. Yeah, never mind.
SPEAKER_02All right. Anybody have anything else? Just shake.
SPEAKER_01You know, one of the things I don't think enough people are talking about is baseball is the Detroit Tigers.
SPEAKER_00You know, I think that's incredibly rude considering I have not the past couple pods really poked the bear.
SPEAKER_01That's fair.
SPEAKER_00But if you want to talk about it, talk about it.
SPEAKER_01All right, that's that's a good point. What I will say is a phenomenal game today. I hope that you had the opportunity to watch it. I didn't. Okay. I watched the seventh inning and then I wouldn't. As an exercise in watching baseball, it was a great game to watch. Uh we play again tomorrow.
SPEAKER_00So did Jose have some some poor base running? Is that what happened at the end of the game?
SPEAKER_01At the end of the game, uh, he kind of got yeah, he did. I mean, so at the end of the game, bottom of the ninth, Will Vest is pitching. Um, Jose comes in and has a uh kind of a sharp liner to second baseman. Second baseman lays out, throws it from his knees to the first to Torkelson. Torkelson misplays it, it goes all the way to the wall. Um so he gets to third. So he's sitting on third, no outs, down two to one. The next batter comes up, and I don't remember the names, it strikes him out, and there's one out, man on third, and the next batter comes up, it's this short kind of blooper that basically kind of just over Will Vest's head. Jose gets frozen. He started running. And if he would have just stood on third, he would have had two outs, man on third. Instead, he started running. Vest tagged him out. It was just a base running error. Um that uh it was a very unlucky finish, but he was kind of lucky to be on third to begin with, in a weird way. But you know, tough ending for the Indians. Sorry, the Guardians.
SPEAKER_03So where does that put the Tigers in for this?
SPEAKER_01So it's a three-game series. It's crazy. Three-game series, all the games are in Cleveland. Uh, and uh yeah, we play tomorrow and through their ace today. We yeah, I mean, and basically the the Tigers MO won is that we in the month of September, I think we won five games. I just don't think we're gonna win two in a row.
SPEAKER_00Well I think they I think game one is such a massive.
SPEAKER_01It is, but listen, man, you won the last six. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So are you hopeful that like Detroit has got all the crap out of the way, and maybe this win helps get them back to the way they started the season?
SPEAKER_01Uh you know, I I don't know. I the Tigers have literally been playing like garbage for the last month. Um they were lucky to have made the playoffs. And you never know. We'll see what happens. But yeah, I we we have Tark Scoobel, who is the best pitcher on the planet today. Uh, and tomorrow we have some other fellow. You know, it's just like some guy. Uh and it's so we'll see how we do. We got two chances.
SPEAKER_00Final thoughts on uh week four going into week five.
SPEAKER_02I think you're seeing um kind of the teams separate themselves. I think this year is gonna be different from last year. And uh team last year was wild how you could have either like Kyle could have made the playoffs in the last week or come in in last place.
SPEAKER_03Which is exactly what happened.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Whereas I think this year I think we're only gonna have like two or three teams those last few weeks competing for a playoff spot.
SPEAKER_03It's hard to I mean, you know, it we've had some big injuries. Yeah like I you know, like um I I was surprised I saw a stat on um Joe Burrow that like he really last season was the first time he's had like a complete season since he's been in the league, which I didn't even realize that. Yeah, he gets injured a ton.
SPEAKER_02Um but the problem with like a Burrow going down is not it's not the Joe Burrow impact for his position in fantasy. It's Jamar Chase is tied to him, T. Higgins is tied to him, you know, even Chase Brown is tied to him a little bit.
SPEAKER_01What's been your biggest surprise this season, either in the NFL or in the fantasy?
SPEAKER_02I think how much the Chargers are passing the ball. So that whole coaching staff, I mean, Harbaugh has always been known for ground and pound, and then they they have Greg Roman as the offensive coordinator who was like with the Ravens when they just ran the ball 75% of the time, and now they're throwing the ball. I mean, they they are throwing the ball at a higher clip than any other team in the NFL. It's making basically three wide receivers fantasy relevant. Um Najee Harris obviously going out is making that rookie even more valuable. Um so I I think they've been that's been my biggest surprise, I think fantasy-wise. How about you guys?
SPEAKER_03Um, fantasy-wise, that's kind of tough.
SPEAKER_02Uh on the flip side, the ineptitude that the Eagles offense is going through.
SPEAKER_03I would say for fantasy-wise, just that has been like the the biggest surprise of just like what even though they're sitting out. How are they 4-0? But yet like just fantasy-wise, it's just a really weird outside of Saquon. I mean, Saquon and Jalen, but it's just it's really weird how how the points are working out there. Um I think just football-wise, obviously the Colts. I mean, I I would not have expected just they continue. I mean, even though we lost last weekend, they still look good. Just dumb, like just get some coaching errors and other stuff fixed. Uh they're they look great. Um, and then the Ravens just really don't look that great. Um I don't know if it's just the teams they've played, but their defense really just doesn't look good. Um Yeah, I don't know. You know, it's it's always interesting because they always talk about how like certain teams they think are just gonna get absolutely destroyed. Like Saints were just gonna get destroyed, and and even though they they they haven't I don't think they've won a game, but they've been competitive much more than say Carolina. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well even the Packers starting out super hot and then fucking losing to the Browns and now tying with the Cowboys.
SPEAKER_00It's like yeah, I think uh the way the Eagles have ended up 4-0 has been really weird to me. They're off the offense is nothing that we would expect it to be. I think the people we've seen as top end receivers outside of Puka, everyone has generally been kind of a surprise. Yeah, true.
SPEAKER_02Um where wide receiver is usually like the most consistent, right? Like year in and year out, you can always have running backs that you know get hurt or whatever, but year in year out, wide receiver is usually like hey, you draft a guy, fifth overall wide receiver, his his finish is usually gonna be in that, you know, like a few spot range whereas this year it's just it doesn't seem to be that way.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, I think that's it for the pod.
