SPEAKER_04So there are actually a lot of smiles here tonight.
SPEAKER_02So I think I saw some of your YouTube pods and let's say the production value low. And so were you inspired by pornographic videos? I mean, I think we've watched enough of them that that's just I mean, is is that kind of what the they're like, listen, we're gonna give it like a you know the last one we did, we sat around the bar.
SPEAKER_03It wasn't bad. That seating was better, still low quality.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And that's just because Corbin came in town. We probably wouldn't have done it if he wouldn't have been in town. But yeah, it's been I think it's been five weeks since we've done an actual pod pod. With everyone together. Well, with everyone together and also like produced by producer Tim. That's why you're so crucial, Tim. Just because it really just brings everything together. Yeah, I mean, yeah. The the YouTube thing just so so I obviously there's not time to go over it. And and I famously have not followed the league. Okay, so I'm assuming by now, last I paid attention, uh, Cody was undefeated. Yeah. Now is he now like seven and four? Um no. Everything is this is the same as five weeks ago. Everything we knew about the league is still true. Yeah. Okay, so Cody's still undefeated.
SPEAKER_04Cody's still at the top.
SPEAKER_02Okay, Miles still sucks.
SPEAKER_04Miles would be cleaning the dish this year.
SPEAKER_02He will like are you mathematically guaranteed to be the worst team? Yes. We are who we thought we were.
SPEAKER_04So is it I was I didn't even look. So Phil's one, I think Phil's one.
SPEAKER_02He's one game ahead of me, but I think he's like a hundred points ahead of me. He's 200 points ahead of me. Oh, yeah, so yeah. Oh definitely, you just broke you just broke a thousand points. I was really happy about that. I should have brought I should have. What's funny that you eight losses in a row? So yeah, we we look forward to the ditch.
SPEAKER_03Oh man. I will say, you know, the week after your trade, week five, you scored 123 points. High points. And then you went 72, 55.
SPEAKER_04And you still get money for this year. And me, who has battled it out, I have the the most points against almost, and I can't.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so he gets paid because he has one high point battling it out. Um, I do I will say this. I was harsh on Jake. Um I don't know. Everyone knows I'm kind of the league ass. I and and I do I want to say, I want to apologize to the league. I I was way too rash seeing how bad everyone's team is this year outside of Cody, I was way too rash in making the trade that I made. Do you think that's a surprising amount of self-reflection? Yeah, wow.
SPEAKER_05What happened in the world?
SPEAKER_02I will say I will say though, is everything okay at home? I will say though, the last like couple months has been really nice not having my my entire mood determined by watching ridiculous games that I don't want to watch. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04Did like Kindle and Quincy and like Cameron this past weekend like just getting up on you and just really like a few weeks, yeah. Okay, well good for you.
SPEAKER_03We did have a deep debate over Dynasty League over drinks on some of the things.
SPEAKER_04I think I think it sounds like we are on the cusp.
SPEAKER_02We have we had no there's way too many, there's way too many parts to figure out.
SPEAKER_04We had over a majority that voted to at least talk about have a good discussion about it.
SPEAKER_02I think we're all open to it, but I think there's a lot of um things we would have to work out, like a lot.
SPEAKER_04The problem is is you're not gonna be able to probably do this over just a one-time uh uh annual meeting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Right? So it we would have to have just a special meeting just for that. Well, and then the other thing is then are we gonna be able to get everybody to participate?
SPEAKER_02Well, and are we passing it by a simple majority? Because if we do that, there are probably two, three, four people who are like vehemently will be like completely opposed to it.
SPEAKER_04I think we have to at least have I don't know unanimous, but we definitely have to have a super majority.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Okay, so what has changed in the last five weeks though? Cody's still on top. I think Kendall's team has really He's lost two in a row, but it hit a sh it hit a stride there for a while.
SPEAKER_04He's still he's still putting up pretty high points. Yeah, like it it's his team has performed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, Trey McBride has been awesome the last like six weeks with Jacoby Brissett as well. Trayvon Henderson has now come into that role and um Drake May is is a top quarterback on the season. I mean MVP potentially. So yeah, Kendall's has looks looked really good in that time. Um Corbin's eight and five, he's won two in a row. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Corey Corbin continues to just he's a gamer. Well, he had that week with Jameer Gibbs where he scored 50 points in week 12.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I got screwed on that one. What else? Kyle's about where he was the last time. Like you're you're at five and eight, so is Scotty, five and eight. Um chasing D D's. I mean, the big thing is is uh last year everyone was still in it until the last week. This year it's basically down to Jake and Cameron who gets the last playoff spot. So here's here's the interesting thing.
SPEAKER_04Um it could be a six and eight team to get the last spot. Yeah. For sure. That's why, I mean, that's why I said I keep playing. You never know. Um I think Kendall's team has the best chance to beat Cody because he's points. I think he he's second in points four. Uh, and he's just had a tough schedule on points against. Like I think he's five on points against. So that means he's playing a tough schedule, and he's still right up there. May not be, you know, top ranked in the the standings, but he's he's right there on the points four. Yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_02He's at 1385 on the season, Pete's at 1361. Um Cody's at 1551.
SPEAKER_03If Braden could have a healthy Garrett Wilson, I would say that team is the most dangerous, but he falls off so hard in his flex position.
SPEAKER_02He's won six in a row. I mean, we're talking about the last five weeks. Braden, if he only got your brother. If he lost the wrong effect, I mean it came down to if he lost like it there was like a very pivotal week for him where he kind of turned it all around and now he's on this six-win streak. He made a couple trades. Yeah, he made that Garrett Wilson trade, which didn't really work out so far. Um, he made a trade with me, which really did. Um Bill Krosky Merritt has just disappeared completely.
SPEAKER_03And he has he's been able to play like Kamani Vidal, which he has the number one defense and the number one kicker in the league. Underrated.
SPEAKER_02That's an underrated uh nice thing to have. I mean, last week didn't his kicker and defense score like an insane amount of playoffs.
SPEAKER_04So so before we go into because I think we'll we'll go real fast into it if we don't keep ourselves, but why don't we talk about last week's matchups real quick and then we can start talking about kind of playoffs and the way things.
SPEAKER_03I didn't realize you moderated the show.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that's great. Oh thanks, Kyle. Well, you guys always complain that the commissioner doesn't do a good job with leadership. So I'm trying to just show him a little bit better.
SPEAKER_02See you're learning. Good job. I will say, you know, since like week eight, Cameron is three and three. Um yeah, he's just he hasn't really been able to put it together.
SPEAKER_03He's been injured. I I think the funny thing from week 13 was Kendall was the most efficient manager and then had the closest loss, and then Jake was the least efficient manager in the biggest margin of victory.
SPEAKER_02Yes, but he had that margin of victory with like 80 points. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Like so. So week 13, yep. Um Pete trounces me 101 to 84. It was, frankly, from my viewpoint, never really in doubt. Christian McCaffrey's having an incredible year. Um with the number one overall fantasy.
SPEAKER_02No one has talked about him this year. Yeah, the the the 49ers in general have been so under the radar. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Tons of injuries, too. Super quiet. Zay Flowers went negative, and that's my biggest concern right now, is this Baltimore Ravens offense.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, how frustrated are you with Jackson?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it sounds like he might not go this week, right? So what's wrong with him? Doesn't this seem like this happens, especially late in the year? He's been more injured this year than most, but late in the year, every year it seems like he is hurt.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he doesn't handle the temperature change well. Um his people. I think I think he'll play, but he's just not as mobile as he's been. But I mean it's also affecting his accuracy.
SPEAKER_04Was your team doing better without him?
SPEAKER_03I think we scrapped by a win. Yeah, I mean that would be interesting to see. That position was better. I mean, look, the past what three weeks he went what six points, seven points, four points. I mean, you're on a bit of a skid, I would say.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, for sure. In the last four weeks, you're one and three.
SPEAKER_04So you've lost, so the last three weeks, you've you barely won against IUI docs. And you've scored in the 80s every single one of those weeks. The last time you went, well, I guess okay, so you have to do that.
SPEAKER_03But also Jackson, if Lamar Jackson puts up between 15 and 20 points, yeah, you're a hundred-point team. Yeah. So um Kendall loses to Braden 112 to 108. Anything you want to say about that game? Drake May had a great. I mean, Rasheed Rice is back for sure.
SPEAKER_02Well, it was it was a high scoring matchup by by both guys. Um I mean, Dallas's offense or defense is he got 20 point Braden got 20 points out of it all. On Kendall's side, Puka started out the year really hot and he just hasn't been scoring touchdowns the last several weeks.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so here's the thing. So he I think uh Menongai is the bigger thing because I think Vida Vidal is gonna be probably phased out. Yeah. Because you've got Marion Hampton possibly coming back this week.
SPEAKER_03Minimum it becomes a share, which is what they've talked a little bit about.
SPEAKER_04So that's gonna, you know, that's gonna take away from that.
SPEAKER_02And the Bears are just running the hell out of the football. So I But yeah, Banong guy the last three weeks, 10, 10, 19. And then two weeks before that he had 21. I still like Kendall's team more. Right? But what if Garrett Wilson comes back?
SPEAKER_04Uh I still like Kendall's team. I mean, the problem is is when Garrett Wilson was even in, was he really doing that fantastic? Yeah, he was really. No, he wasn't? Like Justin Fields was terrible. That offense is. It didn't matter.
SPEAKER_02He was the only guy getting targets.
SPEAKER_04I yeah, but now you have a die.
SPEAKER_02Or not a die. Um here's his points before he got hurt. 19-7, 19-17, 16-2 in the game he got hurt.
SPEAKER_04Okay. But you didn't have another wide receiver. Yeah. Now you have Mitchell. He's built a little bit of rapport that might take away from a little bit. I'm not saying a lot. I'm just I and I don't know what the what's the um what's the jet schedule? Miami, Jacksonville, New Orleans.
SPEAKER_02So not a terrible schedule. Um I lost a matchup against Maxwell. If I hoped to stay out of the ditch, I kind of needed this one. Um but Maxwell puts up 103. And how many did you put up? Um 62. 62. Yeah. So Maxwell this year, I mean But hey, you have singletary. Justin Jefferson is just not, you know, his key guy that has been the reason why, you know, he's been able to score a lot of points several years in a row has just not been great this year.
SPEAKER_03Receiver 21 on the season. Because of the quarterback situation.
SPEAKER_04Is McCarthy uh the new Matt Leinhart?
SPEAKER_02McCarthy the new Matt Leinhart.
SPEAKER_04Why why that comparison? Just because like wouldn't Matt Leinhart like successful in college, unsuccessful in the broadcast. First round draft and then was overrated and didn't nothing happen.
SPEAKER_02I don't I wouldn't say that high. Like Leinart was looked at like I mean he was incredible. He like won the Heisman. McCarthy was a first-round draft pick. Won the national championship. In today's day and age, where all quarterbacks get taken in the first round, but not all quarterbacks. Listen, the Vikings clearly were really high on JJ. And as a Michigan State fan, I think he fucking sucks, to be clear. However, they they made a plan around JJ, and it obviously looks like it was a bad plan. Well, I just don't know how you miss that bad as the Vikings head coach when you're like a quarterback guy. And then their offensive coordinator was is I forget both of their names right now, but he he's like a he he was a quarterback in the league for like 20-some years. Like he's a really, really good quarter, like quarterback coach. And you let Darnold and um Indiana Jones leave the building and then you go with McCarthy, and it's just been a train wreck this year.
SPEAKER_03They spent more money than any other team in the NFL this past year. I think I think their salary is the highest in the league. They wanted to build around JJ. And there's an article in the Wall Street Journal about it a couple days ago.

SPEAKER_02I was actually reading about the Vikings in the Atlantic.

SPEAKER_02Yeah, I try to take my NFL from really like area-type East Coast periodicals. Is that where you guys are picking up your notes? Obviously, that might be where I get my my draft plan for next year. Yeah, you know, when you're trying to get those those sleepers, you gotta turn to uh you know Mother Jones. Yeah, modern living.
SPEAKER_03So uh Cody wins again, one defeated streak.
SPEAKER_02He had high tenues, 125 to 82.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and get this scores 125 points, and Saint Brown puts up a goose egg. Yeah. Mahomes had almost 30. Listen, St. Brown's going today.

SPEAKER_02Did you see that? Yeah. I don't know how much action he's gonna get, but he's up there. We're recording this on Thursday night or Detroit Lions are playing right now. So for Cody, Ama Ra, St. Brown had zero, but Ama St. Brown had 30. AJ Brown had 30 points.
SPEAKER_03132 yards and two touchdowns, 12 targets, 10 receptions. That's just crazy. Devonta Adams has two touchdowns on only 58 yards. I mean, I mean, he's he gets all these targets in the red zone, like around the five-yard line.
SPEAKER_04Or less. Like, I don't know how many times I've seen as a Kyron Williams owner, so frustrating that you're watching, like, oh, we're on the one yard line. Like, they're gonna punch it in.
SPEAKER_03Nope, we throw it to Devontae Adams. I think you're supposed to say shareholder.
SPEAKER_02Since week seven, here's Devontae. Since week seven, here's Devontae Adams. Here's here's his touchdowns. Three, two, one, one, two, two. Like that's crazy. Yeah. As a wide receiver. So, yeah. Um, honestly, Scotty with a five and eight record on the season is impressive. Why? Like you're you're saying I think it kind of shows if you just let it play out with any team, you can probably get five.
SPEAKER_03I think ultimately the Christian Watson deal has not been too terrible for him.
SPEAKER_04It's also it's just sometimes this is where the argument for playing against the medium drastic the median drastically changes this league and how it would work for.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because he has 11-10 points on the year.
SPEAKER_04He's he's 13. I'll just tell you, just to summarize it, he's 13th for points for, yeah, and he's sixth for points against. Yeah. So he's the second worst scoring team, but he plays the sixth worst scoring team as well. So like, yeah, you know.
SPEAKER_03Cam Cameron loses to Team Beamer, 107 to 59. Bad week for IUI Doc. Um, not much to write home about.
SPEAKER_02What do we think of Beamer though? I mean, we we made fun of him. We, you know, oh Beamer, how's he able to get these wins? He's got bad points for. He seems to be coming together at the end of the year.
SPEAKER_04He's got the easiest schedule from a points four perspective, but he's still putting up six best points against the first time. But let's look at his team.
SPEAKER_02Let's look at his team construction. Like Baker Mayfield, he got injured a little bit, but you know, good quarterback situation. RJ Harvey with uh with Dobbins going down. I mean, Harvey had close to 20 points last week. If this Amar Ross St. Brown injury, you know, yeah, hampers him a little bit, you would think Jameson Williams becomes more of a target. He had 23 last week. Fannin's been a tight end one. Yeah. I mean, it's an interesting because he has Gibbs can put up points, I mean, huge points anytime.
SPEAKER_04He essentially has two players. He's doubled up on two players on the same team, but it's worked out. But part of that's been because Jameer Gibbs is I Tim, I would love your input on this. So you have Jameer Gibbs, and then you have obviously Jonathan Taylor, who's been talk of MVP MVP. I think Gibbs has maybe started to eke it out a little bit over the last few weeks.
SPEAKER_02Can can I Like who would you rather have Gibbs or Taylor? Is that what you mean?
SPEAKER_04Kind of, or who do you think is going to maybe finish even MVP?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I think the the I don't rightly or wrongly, MVP has become a quarterback award. I think that Jonathan Taylor's been having a dominant season.
SPEAKER_04What quarterback has had a completely dominant?
SPEAKER_03I don't think anybody they would give it to Matthew Stafford before they give it to Jonathan Taylor. And they're saying Drake May's the favorite right now. Are you serious?
SPEAKER_02Well, and the other thing, and the other thing is it's kind of like the Heisman. Like they have to be from a really good team, too. Like if the Colts struggle down the stretch and don't make the playoffs, yeah. It don't make the playoffs, they're not giving it to Jonathan Taylor. Same thing for the Lions. Like, if the Lions happen to get back, like not make the playoffs, they're not giving it to Gibbs. Can I I want to go back to Beamer's roster?
SPEAKER_03I like this team. I don't think we're talking about the players. This one I want to specifically talk about in his flex to T. Higgins back. Cavante Turpin.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Listen to this stretch of return yards. 175, 80, 86, 151, 111, 85, 118. It's a cheat code.
SPEAKER_02Because that Dallas defense is so bad, he's getting tons of kick return yards.
SPEAKER_04So, I mean, he's Yeah, I mean I'm surprised he didn't kind of play him, actually, because it's almost like a you have a high floor with that. Well, he did he did play him last week. I know, but he didn't play him this week.
SPEAKER_03Half of his points last week were from the kick return yards.
SPEAKER_04Sorry, we're getting a little bit of a cheat because we're on Thursday night, obviously, and some of the games started.
SPEAKER_02But I think I mean you look at Corbin Seam down like into the playoffs, we've made fun of him all year, but like I don't think that's a team you want to play.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah, I proved it where I thought I thought I I put up decent points that week and then all of a sudden.
SPEAKER_03But it's the playoffs. You don't want to play. I mean, I don't think you look at a matchup like, oh yeah, I I want to play them. I think you do. There's a f I mean there's a few. There's a there's some there's some teams this year that like that's it's just not good. We can talk about that here in a little bit. Uh Kyle, you win, you beat Phil 112 to 82. You're now five and eight on the season. Phil's three and ten, but he is safe from the ditch.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Phil's points four on the season are actually okay. I mean, he had 12-28 on the year. Um that is only 25 behind Corbin.
SPEAKER_04Tenth and points four, fourth and points against.
SPEAKER_03Do you think you're gonna look back on the season and the Kenneth Walker or Zach Sharp and anything is going to haunt you?
SPEAKER_04No, it's it's the fact that Trey Benson should have been out for four to six weeks and he was out for ten. That that killed it. Like in the end. Like, I mean, not that yes, the Zack Sharp, like that did hurt it. Also, the other thing that's hurt it is DK Metcalf. Like he's the only wide receiver, and it's just a weird I mean I think CD hurt a lot, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he was out like there's four weeks of zero.
SPEAKER_04I mean, it's just but it's not sometimes you just get bad luck. I'm I'm like I told you guys on our way in, I'm seventh, I think, in points four, and I'm like number one. It's gotta be hard for you. I'm number two in points against. So I had the second hardest schedule in the league. So you're just no matter what you do, that's gonna be tough.
SPEAKER_03Benson's gonna stay on IR for another week? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's it's just not but it's it's gotta be tough for you the fact that you've got like a a gaggle of players that are all kind of like jump ball flex guys, and you gotta pick the right ones to play.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Speaking of pick the right ones to play, the last matchup of last week was Jake from a state farm versus chasing TDs. Jake has made several moves this year, and if you were to look at his roster top to bottom, like the average value of all of his players is probably higher than anybody, right? Like average, like even his bench are basically all a bunch of flex guys, but like same with his starters. It's like he I don't think he has anyone on his team where you're like, yeah, locked and loaded, you got to start him every week. Everyone seems like a flex player on his entire roster, even the bench.
SPEAKER_03Xavier Worthy's been a big disappointment that season. He's only had one game where he's hit double digits.
SPEAKER_02Well, and he so he traded Burrow for Xavier Worthy, right? Um, yeah, I think.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, because uh Zach had Zach would be Burrow for Zworthy November 10th.
SPEAKER_02Now Burrow is back. And give Zack the quarterback he has not had all season. If a morning Hampton's coming back.
SPEAKER_04That's true. I forgot he has Hampton. Yeah, he could be really slow.
SPEAKER_02And then he gets the Zach again with two more case. What do we think of these two things?
SPEAKER_03I think Zach's really dangerous.
SPEAKER_04He's been kind of on a skid, but I think if he gets Hampton back, depending on how quick they get Hampton involved, because like you have to think, if Videl's doing so well, Hampton looks so good once he kind of got let loose. So you would think like, man, this Hampton's gonna produce potentially even some, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, I think it'll be a s it'll just be a split, you know? So maybe that top end just isn't there.
SPEAKER_03I think Jake I think Jake could be dangerous in the playoffs. He's gotta make it though.
SPEAKER_04I I think I think the problem with Jake is this is like this is Kendall's this is like Kendall's team only in a worse version. That's a really that is a very astute observation of you, Kyle. You know, like Kendall's always had these teams that are like deep, but like how do you play the right player? Only in this case it's like a st as you said, he's basically got all flex players.
SPEAKER_02So then how do you Tim, do we have a like a hot take button? I think that was Kyle's best take in the history of this show. It is. That is it. This is Kendall's team worst version. Who do you play? Yeah. Because you got you got yeah, that's the problem. You've got these Xavier Worthies, these um Ramon Day Ramondre Stevensons, David Montgomery, Chuba Hubbard. Yeah. Like, are you do you play those guys? You have no idea. So yeah.
SPEAKER_03We'll just give them a horn. There we go. Oh, perfect.

SPEAKER_03So we are coming into Rivalry Week. It's the best, it's the best week of the year, I think, in the world. Christmas or Rivalry Week.
SPEAKER_02What would you rather have? Christmas or Rivalry Week.
SPEAKER_03Well, I'm a I mean, I love Christmas, but I'm a Thanksgiving guy. So Rivalry Week. Yeah. Okay.

Who possesses the rivalry trophies for each one of these matchups right now? I know in mine, Maxwell has the Oak and Bowl and Barrel Bowl, whatever we call it.
SPEAKER_02Cody won last year. I moved and I I can't find the trophy. I'm gonna find it. You have to. Wait, you can't find it? I we moved. It's it's somewhere. I know it is somewhere.
SPEAKER_04We should have handed it to him in the room.
SPEAKER_02All right, I know. I should have. I should have. I wanted to get it mounted and put our our scores on it. Cody, if you listen to this, could you look up uh what are the records overall of like the rivalry trophies? I don't I don't think Cody has looked up anything you've asked him to all year long. Cody's like, mm-hmm. Yep, all right, I'll put it on my list. Yep, no problem. I'm doing it right now. He's almost checked out in the opposite way that I am, you know.
SPEAKER_04Um I know that Scott has the Shila trophy.
SPEAKER_03Bra Braden has the cousins trophy.
SPEAKER_04Uh is it uh Phil and um Jake?
SPEAKER_02Does Kendall have the Wiley Coyote? I don't know. I think it was one of those where it was like his first time winning it. Oh, maybe that's right. Yeah. I have no idea. Here's a question. Do we think about changing the rivalries or not having those teams meet up twice every year? We can't meet up twice.
SPEAKER_03We gotta change that.
SPEAKER_02Or do we come up with something else for that extra week?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we need to find like we need to find like a different first week. Um not that it's like a rivalry, but like something that's you know, like it has a meaning to it in a way.
SPEAKER_02If we added one more team. Just one. Another team to the league? Then would it make it even now? No, you need two. You should make it make it like NFL scheduling. Make it like NFL scheduling where you have another week where someone has to play a one of the better teams.
