The Perfect Neighbor had its World Premiere earlier this year at Sundance 2025 and is now available to stream on Netflix. We are joined by the film's editor, Viridiana Lieberman, to discuss the documentary's unique construction and the collaboration with director Geeta Gandbhir. The Perfect Neighbor follows the killing of Ajike Owens primarily through police body cam footage, Ring cameras, and other means of surveillance used to capture the community leading up to and beyond Owens' death. With over 25 hours of footage to comb through, Lieberman discusses her workflow cutting the film on Premiere Pro, the approach to the unbiased storytelling of the film, and how it has been received from audiences throughout the year.
