The Awards Tape: Best Animated Feature, International Feature & Documentary Feature Predictions 2025-26

After multiple drafts of way-too-early above the line predictions through the summer, and a “state of the awards race” pulse check episode discussing the first round of major precursors, we are now on the back half of rolling out our specialized prediction episodes that feature 3-4 categories at a time until we’ve covered all categories ahead of nomination morning on January 22. After the Oscar shortlist announcement last week, we are discussing Best Animated Feature, International Feature, and Documentary Feature. All the while, our team’s predictions will be available in real time on our website.
