Episode 28: Cannabis & Athletic Performance
There has been a long standing stigma surrounding professional athletes & the use of CBD/Cannabis as a part of their training. Some athletes have even been stripped of national titles & subsequently suspended or even banned from competing because of Cannabis use.
This has got to end! Cannabis is classified as a level 1 drug, meaning it is in the same class as heroin! The fact that athletes are being punished for self medicating with this amazing, natural plant is unjust & completely unfair.
Thankfully there is progress being made and just recently the NBA has removed Cannabis from their anti-drug testing program! We talk about other progress being made, the benefits and risks to using Cannabis as a professional athlete and our own experience with it while training and going to the gym!
