man , oh man , oh man . I missed that sound . My brother , it's been a minute .

Speaker 2

Welcome back , thank you likewise season two oh , man , can't wait . It's been a while , uh , I think that , uh , everyone here was a little nervous . The hell these guys are how they doing I hope they were .

Speaker 1

Yeah , I mean to the , what 200 followers that we have , hey oh , whatever , it's something .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I , yeah , I'll take it . I'll take it too , but we are super excited to be able to come back and do a recap . You know what I mean ? Hell yeah .

Speaker 2

You know it's been a while , so we want to just kind of , you know , our listeners to just have a recap , to see catch up on what we um , what we have done in season one , but also , you know , let you guys know about the exciting news that we have for our , for our upcoming season . I think we have a lot of things that are happening and um and want to let you know also , you know why we took a little break um , just kind of like give you an idea of what we've been to , what we've been through yeah , just a just a little bit of everything , but I want to get started .

Speaker 1

But there's also people listening to us from . There's a random person from Ukraine that's listening to us . Seriously , mexico's obviously they're here . Yeah , let's see what others say Ukraine . Wow , that's so random . Right , that is random . Do you know if like the ?

Speaker 2

people listening here . Yeah , let's see what other city ukraine wow , that's so random . Right , that's random . Do you , do you ? Know , if , like the , like the people listening , do you know like their , their time frame of listening ?

Speaker 1

to the whole thing . I mean , I would have to do some digging , but I don't . There's people from chihuahua chihuahua represent nice uh people from there's somebody from uh Oaxaca .

Speaker 2

Oaxaca .

Speaker 1

Shout out to them and obviously a lot of our bases are here in the east coast . Uh yeah , reno Nevada , houston Texas , houston Texas . Okay , I think I know . Shout out to all those humans that are listening to us . I appreciate y'all , we appreciate y'all absolutely .

Speaker 2

Thank you so much , as um without you guys . I think you know . I guess this is that's what keeps us motivated , right , you know it's exciting , I know I'm super excited because you know there's a lot of people out there that they're listening to us and we just want to give them good content , good , you know , good stories to say and just good conversation , good conversation .

Speaker 1

Let me listen to that intro again . One more time go yeah .

Speaker 2

It's been a while . Yeah , yeah , yeah , welcome back , Welcome back my boy , let's do this , let's do this , let's go , let's recap .

Speaker 1

Three months it's been Since we recorded our last podcast . Three months , a little bit on the three months . Wow , that's a while , man , that's a long time ago what you been up to .

Speaker 2

Man , not much you know , just Trying to like you know with a while man , that's a long time ago what you been up to . Oh man , not much you know , just uh , trying to like you know , with family and career yeah you know , have a little balance on both , and then the podcast as well .

Speaker 2

It's just , you know , uh could be a little overwhelming . Um , you know , I'm keeping it real , you know , because you know , as everybody , you know , they have their own issues . So I'm pretty sure there's a . There comes a time when you become overwhelmed . Pero no , les voy a dejar que me gane .

Speaker 1

Ni madres , you can't . We were just talking about that , that , as we get older , like your body starts telling you to slow down , but nah . Nah , it's all mental like you said , you know what I mean we can pull through .

Speaker 2

We can pull through that shit because yeah it's all mental . So for everyone out there that is kind of having that same struggle of like waking up in the morning with that physicality , like sometimes it's just like , ah , you know , just shrug it off and keep on .

Speaker 1

No dejes que te gane la hueva .

Speaker 2

Si es la pinche huevera .

Speaker 1

Si no , yeah nice .

Speaker 2

Yeah , so it's been three months . Uh , the family's good , everybody's good , the family is great . I think that , um , the most important thing for me right now is just getting this podcast going . Um , I think that , uh , it's uh , it's been a while since we , you know , had a conversation , um , but again , you know , for the , for the , for the listeners out there , you know , we , we , you know we took a little break . There's a lot of things that's happening within our personal lives and also our careers , so , uh , it's good to like have that out of the way for a bit and escape , be able to just now , you know , have this , you know , able to connect with you guys yeah , uh , it's been .

Speaker 1

It's been uh three months and yeah , I've had a lot going on in the past three months .

Speaker 2

Yeah .

Speaker 1

I opened up

Life Updates and Restaurant Adventures

Speaker 1

a restaurant , which was interesting . It was good , it was a good experience , okay , and I think I would do it again Uh-oh , probably not in New York , I don't know . It was fun . It was a good experience . I'm not going to lie . I enjoyed it , building it from obviously not myself , but my team and the whole team that we had . They did a bang-out job . It was really exciting .

Speaker 2

What was the difference of opening a restaurant within the market than now opening like a restaurant , like your own restaurant ?

Speaker 1

That's a good question . The market was very easy because we just kind of went in there and just plugged and play . You know , literally we brought everything over from the original spot and then just hooked up , got gas hooked up and water hooked up and we were on our way . Let's go Literally like two weeks , I think . Okay , yeah , because we moved out in early january , we opened on the january 27th , so like two , two and a half weeks uh , at at the market and within the new and now .

Speaker 1

Now it was I mean it was a whole , not a whole build out , but we definitely put on , put some makeup on the , on the new brick and mortar , obviously make it look like ours , how we want it to look . And the design team they did a killer job . They combined both pieces of the old original place and the market into one . And then myself and my business partners , we added some color . It's beautiful .

Speaker 2

Yeah , to the listeners out there , man , I , I had the opportunity to look at the restaurant . It's amazing like he's , like he said is uh , he brought a lot of that . Um , uh , you know that decor on the first elanima to the uh to the new one .

Speaker 1

So yeah , shout out to everybody that helped us build that out , who is still helping us and all those stuff , all the , the new , uh , the new delanima .

Speaker 2

Yeah , the 3.0 3.0 .

Speaker 1

Yeah , uh , so , yeah , that took a a fair amount of time . Uh , three months , a long time . I didn't .

Speaker 2

We didn't have a day off for quite a while yeah you know , that's why we weren't able to record the pod as a third party looking in and looking at you guys , um , you and your partners , it seems like , yes , it's a lot of hard work and it's a lot of um components that you need to kind of connect , but at the same time , I feel like , like you said , you're happy , you're . I feel like this one is like your baby , like , is like really yours to like , nourish and see it grow . Because , like for the people out there that don't know the name , it's pretty out there , you know . I mean , the food is great . You have regulars that come in and support . You have regulars that come in and support . But I feel like this time around , you guys are really super happy and excited , because I think that it gives you now the opportunity to be , I think , more creative , more you know . Just give it to y'all .

Speaker 1

Yeah , exactly , and it's yeah , exactly , you mentioned creation is definitely a big factor . Yeah , exactly , you mentioned creation is definitely a big factor . We're able to do experiment more from all around , from the beverage to the food . So , yeah , we're really excited . We're busy , which is amazing . I'm truly , truly grateful for all of our regulars old regulars , new regulars and everybody else in between .

Speaker 2

Yeah .

Speaker 1

It's a good time .

Speaker 2

Absolutely , man . How's the personal life going , how you be able to balance that out yeah , I mean I try , I try to .

Speaker 1

I mean I , I , for three months some I didn't . I didn't see my family . Uh , we text obviously , um , like my sisters , my brother and my wife . I think I saw her , I see her , I see my work , humans more than I see my wife . But that's common in the restaurant world . You know , you , the long hours , you know working 14 hours a day , and you know I get home and she's sleeping , she gets , she wakes up , she goes , she's nine to five , so yeah so we try to .

Speaker 1

we try to balance it out now that I have we have some . I have some more time off , so we try to balance it out Now that I have some more time off . Well , not too much time off , but I have two days off now and we're trying to get back to what we miss . Still summertime , so we're trying to make it out to the beach . It's hot as hell in New York , if you guys know .

Speaker 2

Summer man .

Speaker 1

New York summer , is you know ?

Speaker 2

one of a kind Brutal , brutal .

Speaker 1

That humidity man . You know it's one of a kind brutal , brutal , that humidity man . It's out of out of control . Yeah , but we try to . Yeah , I try to balance everything out to the best of what I can . You know , yeah , it's hard but it's hard , but you know what that's .

Speaker 2

that's the life you're living and like . When it comes to like in the restaurant business , um , and being able to be that type of entrepreneur man , you're gonna have those days where you know family needs to be sacrificed for the better good , and I'm pretty sure you know your wife understands that and your family so yeah , yeah , they , they , they truly do .

Speaker 1

They've been very supportive , absolutely . Miss you all , love you all . But yeah , now we're back in the pod , now we're going to back on the mic .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I mean I've been excited , but I've also been excited to be , you know , to be so the people that don't know also , like , I work with my compadre now , so I'm like his bartender , so you know , being able to see him every day now is cool . It's awesome to work alongside with him and my other restaurant family . So , you know , it's been a pleasure and I'm super excited for that . But also , yeah , like you know , my compadre here mentioned I've been itching to get back in the mic .

Speaker 1

Yeah , and we're back , yeah . So yeah , let's recap . What do you think you think people , people enjoy listening to us .

Speaker 2

I think so , I think so too . I think so too . We I mean , we definitely got a lot of things to say .

Season One Recap and Highlights

Speaker 2

Uh , I know for a fact in social media for a lot of people they've been supporting us and letting us know that our conversations are legit yeah , because we don't we don't beat around the bush exactly .

Speaker 2

We're not trying to , you know , filter anything I'm filtered here , just real talk with a couple of dudes from new york , just you know , doing our thing . Uh , season one man , it's been an incredible , credible season . I think that we have evolved as like podcasters . Um , I also feel like we are learning as we go . As we go , you know . But I'm saying , but like the business side of it .

Speaker 2

Business side of it is like what we are are so excited to learn , um , but the creativity man is there yeah you know we both were bumping heads and like you know the , the passion is there too oh man , the passion is there .

Speaker 1

I tell my wife uh , damn , I want to get back and record . Yeah , it's like you will just give it some time and you'll be . You'll be up and running right back to where you started and you know , it felt a little more comfortable . I feel a little damn , what the fuck did we do a good job ? Uh , we have to obviously made and made corrections and but I think we had some good topics , some good episodes .

Speaker 2

you know we had some fun sports episodes that actually did really well I think , I think the sports episode was like one of our highest like moments yeah and I also feel like for me personally , it was the one that kind of broke the ice yeah it sounds like I felt so comfortable right and I felt like whoa , I could do this .

Speaker 1

Yeah , yeah , you know because we feel comfortable talking about sports . Not that we don't feel comfortable talking about anything else , but sports is , especially baseball is like our , our , our go-to comfort zone , for sure , big time yeah and what was your favorite episode of season one ?

Speaker 2

I think the one that we talked about , like you know , the haters , oh yeah yeah , oh shit , that's you're right that . I think that was the one that I kind of put a lot of into , put a lot of emphasis in in like what , what we wanted to talk about , and I think that you know being able to just talk about the way you know people are in a positive and negative way yeah I just wanted like hate is gonna hate hate is gonna hate .

Speaker 2

So that's kind of my my personal favorite , but the one like the one that I really really enjoyed also was the last two , you know , because we were able to talk a little bit about ourselves and who we are yeah , we broke everything down , our , our , our grind , going up to growing up in new york city , which I think , yeah , that did great as well yeah for me was the uh , the christmas one , when we talked about our traditions and what we did and what we , what we eat .

Speaker 1

Uh , come the holiday season , tamales .

Speaker 2

You know , if you know , you know yo , that was uh , I just totally forgot about that . That's right , that was one . That was also a good one , man , I , I , you know what that that episode was like , so fun to do . I don't know whether we were in the , in the , uh holiday spirit , but I felt like we were just like so happy , so excited to do that one damn that shit .

Speaker 1

That was recorded back in december 2024 on christmas eve . Actually , that was episode three that's right .

Speaker 2

Wow , that was the episode I brought my freaking santa bell right . Yeah , you did .

Speaker 1

That was fun he walked , he knocked on my door and all you , he was like I'm like this , this guy I was really excited , man .

Speaker 2

I remember that episode . Yeah , that was a good one , man , that's a good call .

Speaker 1

Yeah , the Actually the one with Hood Hood Classic Cinema . Yeah , that's another one With All the hood movies that we that we enjoyed watching Growing up as a as a as a teenager .

Speaker 2

And as a kid that's a good one . Those , those movies were life changing . What those movies were like , life changing for me . Like you know , I learned a lot about life . Yeah , you'd be surprised how people like watch movies and they kind of create their own , like their own mindset on like you know what it is and like how , how you live in the world and , and you know , movies could be very informative . Yeah , um , but yeah , those were good .

Speaker 1

those were good episodes , man I think we had , you know , we had a great season . Man , I can't you know what , like I said earlier , it's opening up .

Speaker 1

It's opening up our comfort zone , and now we feel a little more comfortable yeah and I think it's only gonna get better it is we're gonna , like we mentioned and I feel like we keep mentioning , but we're going to start bringing in guests , uh , which will probably start very soon . I'm going to try to edit and get this , this episode , up and running as soon as possible so we can speed things up a little more and we could uh start talking to like individuals and , and you know , see their perspective on life and and and have and have us just like , just you know , ask questions and like learn , and and like learn with you guys , you know yeah that's .

Speaker 1

That's gonna be exciting . Um other than that , what are you most excited about season two ?

Speaker 2

just having a conversation with the third party , you know giving , you know like taking down and bringing down their ideas and what they're all about just yeah , just bringing new people . Bringing bringing new ideas . Um , we were talking about early , uh , a couple of months ago , when we wanted to see how season two was gonna was gonna be , and the first thing I asked was like , hey , listen , you know summer's coming , we can , you know , record outside and , yeah , be able to , like you know , be , be with our boys and you know they don't have to be talked I mean they don't have to talk but they could be around and just like , you know , like we were outside just chilling like having a carnazada exactly , yeah , everybody's welcome to a carnazada we don't .

Speaker 1

We don't have a home yet in terms of like a studio . We're still recording in my living room , which I'm okay with .

Speaker 2

I'm okay too . I'm super comfortable , your sofa's comfortable .

Speaker 1

Thank you .

Speaker 2

Yeah , that's good . It's old . It's old but good . But it is what it is .

Speaker 1

We'll get there , we'll put ourselves out there on camera and find a nice little home , hopefully sooner rather than later . But you know it takes time , it's expensive I'm telling you , man , but like you know , but I'm good right here we're good right here .

Speaker 2

You know we have so much ideas going on . Our creativity right now is like off the roof and I we understand that . We're in the business of , like you know , there's a lot of people out there doing their own podcasts yeah and so you know , shout out to all you that are starting and want to

Music Talk: Cumbia and Corridos

Speaker 2

do this , my recommendation is keep on going , don't stop . It's going to get better .

Speaker 1

It could get discouraging when you don't see new followers . Now in the day . It's all about a click . Everybody's about a click of you , but if you just have a passion for doing , doing , to do whatever you want to do , just do it .

Speaker 1

Yeah , myself sorry I uh , like I mentioned earlier , I just I wanted to get back into it and you know obviously I have to . You know it's not paying the , so I can't really just do this full time just yet . Well , you never know , this is what I really like to do and you know we're going to keep moving forward until somebody tells us not to . And then when they say that , I'm going to go say fuck off .

Speaker 2

Exactly . But don't yeah , like I said , don't get discouraged . You know , like my compadre says , just just because you got one or two likes , I guarantee you that there's still people listening to you . You know , there's people out there listening .

Speaker 1

From Ukraine .

Speaker 2

From Ukraine , from other other parts of the world . People are listening .

Speaker 2

They don't necessarily push the like button or necessarily be subscribed to your channels , but just know that they're listening yeah and they're gonna listen , and they're gonna keep on listening until they , you know , feel , you know , the need to now able to like your page and subscribe to your channel . So just keep on going , keep on doing what you're doing . You're just gonna get better , you're just gonna get wiser . So , yeah , so season two what I feel like the most important thing for us now is just kind of being able to interview other guests and just um have a good conversation .

Speaker 1

Have a good conversation with yeah well , somebody else .

Speaker 2

So yeah , that's my , that's my uh exciting um upcoming season yeah , same .

Speaker 1

I think . Uh , I think we're gonna keep growing . Uh , I'm definitely excited to bring on . We have a list of people who are gonna ask to come on the pod and I'm excited for the next chapter of encaliente yeah that's . That's the next movement .

Speaker 2

That's uh , that's a great , that's a great um I think that's uh , it be a hit . That's going to be a hit . I know it is .

Speaker 1

It's coming soon .

Speaker 2

Yeah , it's kind of like En Caliente . For me is really special because it's just En Caliente . It kind of like evolved within season one .

Speaker 1

Quickly too , and quickly yeah .

Speaker 2

And I think that people like it . I had a great feedback you you know with my family and my friends , so I know that it's just gonna get uh better , so I can't wait for encaliente . That's also gonna be another thing . You know a little , a little description and and what it is .

Speaker 2

It's just basically me and a camera and we're just gonna ask random people questions like you know what they're doing , how , how they do it , and you know it's gonna be , it's gonna be fun . I can't wait for that too . That's , I totally forgot about that . Thank you for reminding me alhamdulillah yeah uh , but yeah , what else ?

Speaker 1

what else is coming up ? What else are we ? We're doing ? We're trying to get ourselves in camera that's , that's a very that's .

Speaker 2

That's the most important thing I feel like one .

Speaker 1

We need to just find somewhere to do it , and that's where we're kind of stuck on . You know what I'm saying ?

Speaker 2

Yeah .

Speaker 1

Like you said , we talked about doing it outside .

Speaker 2

But there could be a lot of things going wrong outside . We live in the city , so you could hear a lot of sirens .

Speaker 1

Which is good , which is good . You know what do you call it Natural .

Speaker 2

Not natural .

Speaker 1

There's another word for it .

Speaker 2

More realistic , yeah sure .

Speaker 1

Right , I don't know . Yeah , like having a carne asada and just recording out there with our boys¿ .

Speaker 2

Te caen bien .

Speaker 1

A me caen bien .

Speaker 2

Algunos , Algunos , son burros , but most of them I like yeah , but like yeah . Like he said , you know , we just want to keep it real with you guys . That's why we're telling you how it is . You know , it's not that we're not ready and we're not , we don't want to do this , it's just you know . You know the business side of it takes a little while , Like the things that you don't see .

Speaker 1

So I wonder , I wonder if our listeners out there are uh are uh asking themselves . They don't even make sense , probably not , not right ?

Speaker 2

nah , maybe the beginning was like you know , that's another thing that we , that we want to do also for season two is just really put a lot of emphasis in our , uh , social media . Yeah , engage with , engage with you guys . Um , I know that we want to do also for season two is just really put a lot of emphasis in our social media and content .

Speaker 1

Engage with you guys . I know that we haven't done that .

Speaker 2

I'll be honest and say that , yes , we haven't done that , but I want to be able to now talk to you guys through our media whether live Everywhere on TikTok , instagram , youtube .

Speaker 1

Drop a comment .

Speaker 2

Ask a question . We really want to know what you guys feel .

Speaker 1

They're probably going to be Estos . Weis Mejor que ni hablen .

Speaker 2

Mejor que ni hablen , right , yeah , I think so . I think so . Maybe some of the Chorreadores Si .

Speaker 1

Estos weis no estan hablando , pura caca .

Speaker 2

Pura mierda . Nah , seriously , though , we really want to do that , so please .

Speaker 1

Yeah , you know , what I'm also looking forward to this season is I see a strong movement of cumbia sonidera out there . I don't know if you noticed that .

Speaker 2

Music .

Speaker 1

Yeah , like Mexican cumbia sonidera , you know , like sonidos and all that stuff . We actually , when we originally first started the pod , we recorded an episode . It was titled the Life of a Son sonidero and never made it right . We never aired it , they never aired it right , because we recorded that episode , which was a good episode .

Speaker 1

I totally forgot about that one too it was recorded in my brother's bakery and my brother's bakery was dumb loud , so I know , yeah , you heard everything like the vents in their machines . My brother owns a big ass bakery , so that's um . That's why we never aired it , but it was a good conversation it was a great conversation .

Speaker 1

You know why because that's another topic that we need to touch on , because it's deep in our , in our hearts , our soul . Yeah , the cumbia is . Yeah , we grew up with it . I mean , the cumbia is , we grew up with it .

Speaker 2

I mean the cumbia Sonny . That has always been like popping , but I always felt like it was just like one dimensional .

Speaker 1

Yeah , I feel like it doesn't escape to like mainstream . Yeah , you know , but hey , listen the corridos .

Speaker 2

we thought it was the same thing , you know , we thought it was just that little See .

Speaker 1

but I think the corridos they added swag to it . Yeah , yeah .

Speaker 2

They added swag to it . Yeah , yeah , you know what I'm saying . I think what Cumbia needs to have that they added like jewelry , like .

Speaker 1

the whole fashion of corridos is completely different .

Speaker 2

Yeah , you know .

Speaker 1

And Cumbia , on the other hand , is not , you know yeah .

Speaker 2

Well , you know what I could argue and say that there's a lot of new grupos that are coming out that are putting their own swag .

Speaker 1

Um , you know , yeah , you're right .

Speaker 2

But like we're not looking at , like those old , old um like Los Askies .

Speaker 1

Fucking love Los Askies , yeah .

Speaker 2

And and Angeles , the Charlie and all those , um , in all those grupos , these other schools , they all got a match . They all got a match with the suits . Now they're getting twisted .

Speaker 1

I fucking love their music . I enjoy every single one of those groups we just mentioned . But you know , I've been to . I saw Fuerza Régida , I saw I what what you call it Grupo Firme , and they all have their own style and they changed the whole game for corridos .

Speaker 2

Yeah , it's no longer just one-dimensional group of people . Now they're taking it to the world .

Speaker 1

I think Cumbia is on his .

Speaker 2

On his way .

Speaker 1

I don't know . It should have been up in there , because everybody listens to Cumbia .

Speaker 2

Yeah .

Speaker 1

I just don't think everybody listens to Cumbia Sonidera that much .

Speaker 2

But I think it is on his way and I've been seeing that a lot like a huge trend . I don't know , maybe because my phone is listening to , listening to me . Yeah , well , there's a grupo out there that that's really putting it , putting it like on the map , that it's just , you know , it's cool when you see them and that's like the uh , the guy , tujo ponce shout out to those ladies and there's , they're definitely know doing their thing .

Speaker 1

You should tag him when this pod comes out and see who wants to come on . I think he's here right now .

Speaker 2

He probably . But you know we could definitely , you know , talk to his team and see if we're able to bring him along to our podcast .

Speaker 1

He's going to want some money . Did you hear ?

Speaker 2

this Chucho .

Speaker 1

No , no , scoville , Aquí no hay dinero . But if you want to have a conversation , compa aquí estamos , aquí estamos .

Speaker 2

You know we love your music . I think you're definitely a revolutionary .

Speaker 1

Oh yeah , that's a good group .

Speaker 2

In the sense of like how his sound is . It's so different .

Speaker 1

Yeah , all different , yeah . And uh , going back to that , uh , like a couple of weeks ago , I don't know , last week , there was um , um like a big event in time square .

Speaker 2

I don't know if you saw that yes , yes , I saw a couple of them in uh in instagram . Yeah , there was well that's what I'm saying .

Speaker 1

It leads back to . What I'm trying to get get to is like I feel like the kumia movement is like it's always been on the map for us , but now I feel like the youth and social media is kind of Pushing it and keep pushing it , which is fucking amazing .

Speaker 2

Keep doing what you're doing , guys . What was in that revolution thing ? That's happening . Keep pushing , cumbias . We didn't have that when we were younger Because we didn't have social media . We all had it . We support you .

Speaker 1

You know what was on social media ? For us , it was when they used to record those buy lists .

Speaker 2

Yeah . And then we used to go buy it on like the CD stores in like Roosevelt you remember those days well , back in the days the Sonidos used to have their own camera people coming right right , right , and they would record their show , their party , and then we had to wait like maybe three or four or five days , and then we'd go every Friday or Saturday we'd go to their stores , word , or sometimes they used to do it outside and we'd just buy in .

Speaker 2

We just see ourselves like dancing oh that's me , that's me , right there .

Speaker 1

You hear that . Say it by loud .

Speaker 2

Now we can just find ourselves live .

Speaker 1

Word Seriously .

Speaker 2

Yeah , so that's cool , man yeah .

Speaker 1

So I think , once we get the whole interview and bringing more people on , I think we're going to bring in no , I know we're going to bring on some more humans that are In that whole world .

Speaker 2

Yeah , yeah , definitely it's a . You know we inviting everybody that that is doing that movement to our podcast . You know we want to learn . We want to learn what you guys are doing , because you guys are doing something right .

Speaker 1

Yeah .

Speaker 2

So if , like my compadre , is saying that you know Cumbia is changing , I believe him . You know honestly , tumbaos , that I just I have stopped listening to cumbia , not because I don't want to . I still look out of love for that and I'm always gonna love that , but it's just . But it's just another .

Speaker 1

That's what I'm saying . That way , the corridos tomas with uh has changed the whole game completely , completely because again they added a swag , they added the the whole , they added a new culture to it . It's like hip hop en corridos tumbao .

Speaker 2

They're wearing chains . Just put Mexico on the map . It makes us relevant .

Speaker 1

Mexico . We're always on the map , that's true . We're everywhere . We're everywhere , but you know now , Aunque les guste o no , cabrones .

Speaker 2

Ahora ves los blanquitos los dominicanos , los puertorriqueños , even los more , los Blanquitos .

Speaker 1

Los Dominicanos Los Puerto .

Speaker 2

Ricanos , even Los Morenos , and Los Morenos , don't get me wrong they love our music , especially back in the West , they've been supporting . They've been supporting , but now it's like yo . They've been listening to Corridos Tombados , now they're like yo . I love this swag .

Speaker 1

When I went to Puerto Rico , when did I go to protect ? Two years ago , yeah , no , no , I'm sorry . Before three years ago , and I was driving by . I swear to God , we pulled up on some place in Ponce , they're listening to it , my wife is probably gonna correct me I don't know where it was , but the whole point is they were fucking listening out to fucking Grupo Firme yeah , what's his name ? I don't even know these guys' names , these young kids , peso Pluma .

Speaker 2

No , el otro güey Nata . Nata Leon .

Speaker 1

Nata Leon , that guy .

Speaker 2

That guy , that guy .

Speaker 1

Yeah , they were fucking just jamming out to those songs . I'm like yo , that's wild , just like how we jam on to Bad Bunny . Yeah , and every reggaetonero that's out there , that's awesome .

Speaker 2

That's what I like to see . You know , latinos supporting each other different countries , but it's the same vibe , it's the same thing . You know which is I mean ? I love Bad Bunny , I love all the Puerto Ricans .

Speaker 1

Word . I love Puerto Rico .

Speaker 2

Puerto Rico itself . Man , it's a beautiful island . I Island I haven't been , I haven't gone to Puerto Rico , but that's one of my . I would live there . But our music is just different . It's happy , it's another wave .

Speaker 1

So many like good hits out there right now too .

Speaker 2

For .

Speaker 1

No for .

Speaker 2

Oh my God , forget about it , like Yo fucking Beast .

Speaker 1

No mames .

Speaker 2

Clave Especial .

Speaker 1

I like those guys too , yeah .

Speaker 2

Those are . You know what it is about Clave .

Speaker 1

Especial . Which one is that one ?

Speaker 2

Oh , yeah , yeah , yeah , the one with that did that song . Ni modo que no .

Speaker 1

You know , yeah , yeah , yeah , I know who you're talking about those Clave Especial man .

Speaker 2

For me is like that , that that hood like they go straight to , like you know , uh , you know who else put ?

Speaker 1

put uh the narco stuff and a little bit of the cumbia too . Is uh grupo frontera , who almost got canceled for ?

Speaker 2

you know , what reasons ?

Speaker 1

but they still , they still put it out , bangers you like them .

Speaker 2

I like them a lot , I like lot . I like everyone that is putting good music out there in the Corrida Tumbalos genre . So I'm super excited . I also heard some kind of like I don't know if it's true or not about our presidenta saying that she doesn't want that type of music playing in the country . What do you think about that ?

Speaker 1

Damn .

Speaker 2

Which I could agree .

Speaker 1

I understand that that genre also has like negative yeah so did hip-hop though yeah so , like hip-hop had , like the bitch , this drug that you know yeah , it's it's just music . You know , people just want to and a lot of people just live through that . I don't know about the Narco Corridos or any of that , but like hip hop , they live through a lot of those stuff that they talk about in their songs . I don't know about now . Now it's just hip hop , it's changed , I don't know . I don't know Anyway , but I mean , again , it's just music . I think people take it to the heart too much , right ?

Speaker 2

it's just music . I think people take it to the heart too much , right , but you know , but I get it , I do get it , I get it they send messages out and it gets .

Speaker 1

It can get .

Speaker 2

It can lead people to it could get a little ugly cause out there . You know you're still

Season Two Plans and Collaborations

Speaker 2

Speaker 1

It's Cabrona .

Speaker 2

It's Cabrona . Yeah , she's bad , bad ass .

Speaker 1

It popped up on my feed that Segunda , she's getting paid .

Speaker 2

They're all going to talk , my mother .

Speaker 1

They're all going to talk . They're all hating . Everybody talks yo .

Speaker 2

Everybody . Nobody's ready to see a woman you know take over a country .

Speaker 1

Hey man , Shout out to that .

Speaker 2

Shout out to okay with that . Yeah , I want to move to mexico now , me too , that dumb ass country don't know shit they're gonna .

Speaker 1

I mean shit gets , wow , I'm gonna have to move to mexico . I'm okay with that , though , after like experiencing mexico and uh , over the years for like the first time in a long time , yeah , I fucking love it , man . I , when we stayed in and where my grandma lives , I was chilling .

Speaker 2

No , no , this is a recap .

Speaker 1

So we're , going to jump .

Speaker 2

We're going to jump , I mean , our season was great , but we want to talk about it . We want to have conversations .

Speaker 1

Yeah , this is what the whole See . Now I lost my point of thought . We have a beautiful culture , you know . The beaches are beautiful , the food is out of this world people are amazing people are great . You know , we've we've seen stories of like oh , I've heard stories throughout my my whole life . Oh it's bad out there , you can't go , no , you can't go nowhere . Like there's there's crim , uh , criminals area . There's crime everywhere . That's fake man . There's poverty everywhere , everywhere , man , I didn't see none of that I think we're .

Speaker 2

I think we're more in danger here Than over there .

Speaker 1

I didn't .

Speaker 2

Well , I'm telling you that's real talk , well I ?

Speaker 1

Speaker 2

It's beautiful , that's another thing that I want to tell you . Like season two , that's what we want also to do . We want to be able to help not only us but , uh , our people yeah , our latinos for sure that are doing their thing . You know , collaborations , that's yeah , I'm .

Speaker 1

I'm same page , like anybody that wants to come on and promote their business or talk about what they've done to start a business yeah , I'm game , let's rock out .

Speaker 2

Yeah , we have . I have a few people that they want to come in and drink some chelas , and for real , and uh , and we have a conversation or not , or do a little non-alcoholic mocktails , whatever well speak for yourself .

Speaker 1

No , I'm kidding .

Speaker 2

People out there don't drink no more . That's true .

Speaker 1

That's crazy yeah people out there are under a gym game , which I mean we should take some notes .

Speaker 2

Oh we will . We're going to definitely hit the gym man . We got to get straight we got to get firm For real .

Speaker 1

No , but I think , yeah , I think season two is is gonna be fun . I think we're gonna have a good time . We're gonna bring in some cool people . Oh yeah and I know we sound repetitive because we've said that multiple times in the past but you know it's gonna . Now it's gonna come to reality because now I feel like we have a little more pressure . We're pressuring ourselves , we're pressuring the , the brand , and just trying to put contact content out there , like everybody else .

Speaker 1

You know , I I've been seeing a lot of TikToks and Instagram and they just post the content , just post it , and we already , we did . Now we just got to keep posting .

Speaker 2

Just being consistent . Consistency , yeah , exactly , and , like my compadre said , we definitely have . I know we're being very repetitive about this , but it's because we're like , because we're excited , we want to make sure that we , you know we're keeping it .

Speaker 2

You know , live out there and you know we're also gonna put a lot of merch as well . So , yeah , you know , look out for that . You know , let us know what you want . You know , right now we're doing like what ? Shirts and hoodies at the moment ? Shirts and hoodies , but we want to do like you know , obviously hats , we love hats .

Speaker 1

We're going to do some hats , we're going to do some coasters and some mugs is what's on the agenda .

Speaker 1

You know uh . Jumping on a little bit of topic here . I saw something really funny on uh on instagram .

Speaker 1

What you saw , yo , new york is built different , bro . What happened we ? I saw this video of uh , it was hot as hot . I think it was two weeks ago when we had that heat wave . I mean , it's hot as fuck right now , but we , we had that heat wave where it was like a hundred and change . And they , somebody built like a little somebody I think it was uptown or in the Bronx whoa sorry . And they've built like a little fucking theme park in the on the side of the , where the bike lanes are a theme park , like they had a pool out there . They had like water slides . I was like that , that shit looks like fun as fuck . Everybody was vibing out there . Uh , that pool . And that pool was not small , bro , that shit was mad big geez outside right yeah just outside .

Speaker 2

They didn't block traffic or anything like that .

Speaker 1

I mean it was on the bike lane .

Speaker 2

Oh , okay .

Speaker 1

I mean it was hot , so I get it . But we used to do that too . Remember when we used to open the pumps . Yeah , we used to do that . We didn't have like no fucking pool , but I'm sure if we was there I would have gone in there .

Speaker 2

Like whatever needs to be done in order for you to be hydrated For real that shit was that shit looked like mad fun .

Speaker 1

Like I said , new York is built different , yeah . So yeah , that was random , that was a random thought , but I just , it just came to my head .

Speaker 2

That's funny . Uh , Now we got bike lanes Jesus .

Speaker 1

Yo , I fucking bike lanes . I ride a scooter to work every day . People just don't get it .

Speaker 2

Speaker 1

Like they're just in the bike lane , like they just stand there I'm like fuck out of the way .

Speaker 2

And then when they get hit , God forbid .

Speaker 1

But like get the fuck out the way , bro . Yeah , for real . That's why I have to ring my little . Oh , you got a bell , a small little bell .

Speaker 2

Oh nice , you need to man .

Speaker 1

And then I have a speaker with me as well , so people can hear me coming .

Speaker 2

You don't got a light in front of that .

Speaker 1

It is a light .

Speaker 2

You can flick on it .

Speaker 1

Speaker 1

Cuánto es 200 bucks .

Speaker 2

Speaker 1

You know it's old .

Speaker 2

I do need a scooter man , because sometimes you know I'd be closing late and I want to get home early . I get home in 20 minutes . That's a lot 28 . 28 to be exact , probably 35 for me . I live in the airport , you see . You see , yo another thing I got to tell you , man . Yo , I got to be real on this . Yo , like , I know my compa's sister but working with her man , it's just funny , like the way , the things she says , like .

Speaker 1

She's got , her own , she's got her own .

Speaker 2

Like I like , like . I thought that we only like . We're the only ones that have our own like lingo lingo . But she has these lingos , yo , that I've been saying in my household now , like she'd be saying something like you see , or what was the other one santo santo yo . I'd be saying that now in my household and my wife's like what the hell is that yo shout out to you , sis yo it's restaurant lingo , it's like we get a little bit from everybody .
