Virginia Stuns #8 FSU: A Trap Game Turns Into a Nightmare
I'm goddamn mattered shit. Let me ask you one question.

SPEAKER_03:Hey, it's an instant reaction. It's a loss. To Virginia 46-38 in double overtime. FSU falls to 3-1 on the season. In a trap game. Trap game, and you let Virginia hang around. And Chandler Morris gave it everything he had, was running all over the place. 46 points given up by that defense. That's not gonna get it done. Drop pass at the end by Deuce Robinson, who had a hell of a game. But he couldn't hang on to what fire everybody. Yeah. Fire fucking. Couldn't hang on to the pass that would have given the chance to have a two-point conversion.
SPEAKER_02:Who cares? 46 points to Virginia.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:I nah. Fuck this team, man. Well, we talked about it before the season.
SPEAKER_03:Fuck this season. This is one of those games where you have the game where the Alabama game, everybody's so happy about it, but then you go out. Doesn't mean shit. Doesn't go out and you're 0-1 now in the ACC. Right. You Virginia's 2-0. You don't have the tiebreaker with them. And guess what? You have the best team in the conference coming into your house next week. It's probably going to be 0-2.
SPEAKER_02:No, listen to me. I would be shocked if this team isn't 3-3 after Pitt. Oh, wow, really? Yeah, really. You just gave up 46 points. To a team that was down their top three offensive linemen. Yeah, that that no sacks. No defensive pressure. They did whatever the fuck they wanted.

SPEAKER_03:You're 0-1 in the ACC, though, right off the bat. Castellanos had uh two picks, one at the end. I don't know if that was uh had a touchdown's first touchdown against power forward competition, 254 yards, um, 14 carries and a rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown. But um they weren't able to run the ball as much as maybe they thought they should have. Although the this is on the defense. It's not it's not like they tried to run the ball. Uh they they did turn the ball over in the first half. Um they kept throwing it. Yeah, I thought that was a uh they had a fumble by Saw Chuck. That was a bad fumble. Yeah. We said the one thing you can't do is turn the ball over and you'll win this game. Well, the only turn the ball over you win the game.
SPEAKER_02:Well, the interception shouldn't have been thrown in the first place. It was on first down. You were running the ball fine.
SPEAKER_03:Some questionable calls.
SPEAKER_02:They ran the ball fine. Um they probably shouldn't have thrown the ball more than five times in the entire game. Yeah. But whatever. I mean, look at the you had uh you gave up 46 fucking points.

SPEAKER_03:That was that was not good. Missed a field goal coming out of the second half. 26-yard touchdown. There um Little came up, tried to make a hit, did not wrap up, and they end up scoring tie in the game. And I think that's they literally did whatever they wanted to after that. They did whatever the hell they wanted to after that. And because in the second half, you miss a field goal in your opening drive, they come down and score.
SPEAKER_02:You're gonna end up being up being the worst fucking loss for Alabama on the season. You're gonna be their wake-up call. When they sit here and run off fucking nine, ten wins in a row, you're gonna be their wake-up call. And finish the season eight and four, seven and five, whatever. Get the fuck out. I'm tired of this shit.

Three offensive linemen down. And I think what the difference of the game was was not getting the quarterback on the ground and then letting him run on those big fourth downs. He had three rushing touchdowns. You dropped a you dropped your third down play in overtime that might have scored. And you had to settle for a field goal. I mean, you they batted down that pick against Castellanos after you drove down the field. Um doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_02:But yeah, but when you do it doesn't fucking matter, dude. This this shouldn't have been a game. Like what what what the fuck are we doing?
SPEAKER_03:FSU ran the ball for um uh out FSU outgained Virginia five hundred and fourteen to four thirty-seven. Um they had two hundred and fifty yard, two hundred and fifty-eight yards passing, two hundred and fifty-six yards rushing, averaged six point three yards per play to Virginia's two hundred and twenty-nine yards passing, two hundred and eight yards rushing. They averaged five point three yards of play. They did have twenty-eight first downs. Doesn't fucking matter. Which uh they were able to keep Florida State's offense off the field in the second half.
SPEAKER_02:Right, right. Because what it all comes down to is you can't fucking recruit. You're relying on a on a on a roster full of transfers.
SPEAKER_03:83 plays for Virginia, 81 for Florida State. Uh they just uh five penalties for FSU, four for Virginia. That's it, man. That's it. Nothing's changed. Nothing in possession. They they nicked the time possession 32 to 28. Nothing's changed, man.
SPEAKER_02:But um we expected to go into this game two and one. Going into this game, it was gonna be the fucking litmus test. Instead, we were three and oh because somehow we beat Alabama. It doesn't fucking change anything.
SPEAKER_03:It's almost worse. Right. You actually're 1-0 if you beat this, win this game and lose to Alabama, you're at least 1-0 in the conference.

SPEAKER_03:Tomorrow they go to at Georgia. And that was my upset special. That's not looking too good. Um really upset with this game. Um, if I was an optimist, I would say Virginia's better. They have that quarterback is is a veteran quarterback. Virginia, Virginia ain't doing shit.

SPEAKER_03:It was just in the clouds tonight.

Then they had a play that looked like Florida State was gonna intercept it, then they ended up catching it, making a big play, and scoring a touchdown. So those kind of plays. You got a bunch of fucking guys that that you know and then Florida State drops like wide open touchdowns.
SPEAKER_02:So like there was the only good thing about this game was was Randy Pippen. That's it.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, Randy Pittman, Randy Pittman threw for a touchdown, ran for a touchdown, and caught a touchdown pass. Um, I would the only positive sign Steuze Robinson played well, except for and then the end he drops it. So it's like he has a great game, and then he friggin' the one time you need to come up big, you drop the fucking ball.
