Playoff Chaos Ahead

Austin Fletcher Season 4 Episode 404
SPEAKER_00:

Let me ask you one question.

SPEAKER_04:

The note floor is bone floor is bored. The note floor is bone as bone. The note floor is bone.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, it is just another football line today! We're getting closer to the holidays. Thanksgiving. The playoff picture is getting closer and closer. More closer to here. More close to here. Today's conference is as they approach the holidays. Teams fight for positioning when it gets a playoff team. We will go over all of these results from Sundays after college football.

SPEAKER_01:

I gotta make the playoff prediction. My prediction is Ohio State will make the playoffs. Take it to the back.

SPEAKER_02:

I mean, you know that that's all you need? Yeah. Yeah. So what happened like do you keep the loser of the Big Ten game at number two? If it's Indiana number.

SPEAKER_03:

What if Michigan beats Ohio State? Then they might have their if you're the Big Ten conference.

SPEAKER_02:

You might want that.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

That might be a key to you getting an enforced team in the conversation.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Start there. Big Ten. You got Ohio State, you got Indiana. They both look like locks. At this point, they're playing in the Big Ten game.

SPEAKER_03:

There's a few teams that are in. Yeah. Regardless, I think Alabama needs one more win. Yeah. They might have gone, it might be a blessing in disguise. They lose. A tough game. You got it. Oklahoma just It went from like 10% chance to 63% chance. Big win for the Sooners.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, they're bringing the best defense in the country.

SPEAKER_03:

Because when you beat Alabama, every Alabama, that lasts for years.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, just ask Texas. Yeah. They got three losses this year. Still teams are still talking about them. Beavers still want to see them in the playoffs. Quinn Hewers beat Nick Saban.

SPEAKER_03:

I'll tell you what, uh, big win for Oklahoma. I think they went out, they're in. Yeah. And they won't be in, they don't have to worry about going to play in Atlanta.

SPEAKER_02:

At this point, like why why would you want to play in Atlanta? I mean, I get it. You could potentially get a buy and then, you know, but if you if if you got a win.

SPEAKER_03:

If you're I mean, if you need to get in, I guess, but yeah. No, but if you're Oklahoma. Yeah, you're probably already in the playoff. Exactly. So it's basically seedings.

SPEAKER_02:

So if Oklahoma were to somehow make it to the SEC title game, they you pretty much have to win. Or take that third loss.

SPEAKER_03:

And then you're talking about. Well, that's where you I don't think that's gonna hurt them. Like you, I don't think that law, like if you're in the championship, you have to that loss can't hurt when you're compared to another two loss team that didn't get to the championship. See what I'm saying? Like yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

That gets tricky though.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, you could go out and get injured. You could go out and get in.

SPEAKER_02:

When you're when you're talking about, let's say, old miss, Georgia, Alabama all sitting there with two losses. But Alabama's got to win out because of that loss to Florida State. They cannot afford to lose.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah. They've gotten big wins.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't I don't know how it works out, though.

SPEAKER_03:

If if well, you know, those are the kind of losses where I don't I'm not gonna hurt a team if they're in the championship game. Yeah. And if they made it over another team, if you make it over old miss. So like that's not gonna hurt you.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Now, but if there's like if you go in and you look bad or if you get an injury, then we can, I guess, yeah, compare it. But the loss itself, it matters how you play the game. So if you lose that game in a close fought, hard fought game, yeah, honestly, that's honestly a good thing. And you're probably in. Right. I mean, Oklahoma right now, but they're sitting pretty in terms, yeah, they just have to take care of business. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Teams like Georgia, all they got to do is win. They're fine.

SPEAKER_03:

AM was down 30 to 3 to South Carolina.

unknown:

Wow.

SPEAKER_03:

Undefeated in the conference. You're like, what the hell's going on here? Elko's gonna sign a contract. And you're like, oh my god, but then they come back and win 31 to 30.

SPEAKER_02:

I think it's important to point out that AM's conference schedule, the best team they've played in conference is Missouri.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, but they've had a SEC, and you know what they did do? They went out of conference and they beat Notre Dame, who looks really good. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

So kicking the shit out of everybody.

SPEAKER_03:

They're at Notre Dame. I think they're in. Yeah. That win yesterday, they went to 10 wins. They have a non, there's seven wins now in the conference. Right. They could lose the game to Texas and they'll be okay. Right. They won't. I think AM's in.

SPEAKER_02:

They won't lose to Texas.

SPEAKER_03:

Georgia, big win against Texas. They're they're in. Yeah. Georgia's in a collapse.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, I mean, they play nobody next week and then Georgia Tech.

SPEAKER_03:

Right, but they could lose to Georgia Tech and still get in. Yeah. Because Georgia, that's not a bad loss. Right. Well, and that's the same. And you're seven and one in the in the you only have one loss in the conference.

SPEAKER_02:

Right, and that's to Alabama.

SPEAKER_03:

Ole Miss.

SPEAKER_02:

Only one loss in the conference, which is to Georgia.

SPEAKER_03:

They beat Florida. I think they're looking like they're in. Alabama, Oklahoma. Looks like they're they're in. So you're good, you're starting to get a picture here. If it goes. So you'll have probably Georgia or Alabama or Ole Miss all there with one loss. Yeah. So like if they if they play and lose, I'm not gonna Right.

SPEAKER_02:

The three-way tie in that scenario goes to Alabama to make the championship.

SPEAKER_03:

Well, in terms of the next tier, you have two teams in the SEC that would still have a fighting chance. I don't think Texas deserves to make it. I think they're done. But if they were to beat AM and win out, they would be nine and three.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, and it's two conference losses. Everybody's excusing the loss to Vanderbilt. Right. Vanderbilt is a dark horse here.

SPEAKER_03:

Is somebody who's eight and two, four and two in the conference. If they were if they went out, I think they're in. That that that would be interesting. If they were if they had another logo in the SEC, too.

SPEAKER_02:

We'll see how strong, we'll see how strong that SEC badge is. Because let's just say AM goes undefeated. Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss all finish with you know the record they have now.

SPEAKER_03:

I think the SEC has a good argument for six teams. Yeah. Barring if if Vanderbilt If Vanderbilt and Oklahoma went out. And who who are they playing? Are they playing anybody that's considered?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, but you got Tennessee at the end of the season. Right. So if they were to beat Tennessee, that's another quality win. Yeah. Their only losses are to Texas and Alabama. I mean, you're in. And this kind of has an impact on what you're doing. So if you look at the Big Ten. Right. You number one, number two teams in the country, both in the Big Ten. All they got to do is finish the season undefeated. Even with one loss, Ohio State's going. Right. Well, like you, I think Ohio State and Indiana are already in. Right. It becomes the next tier of Big Ten teams.

SPEAKER_03:

Oregon's probably already in.

SPEAKER_02:

Maybe. You got USC this weekend and that's the one.

SPEAKER_03:

Well, I think it I think that that the winner of that game is in. Because if if USC beats Oregon, Oregon, you're out of there. Yeah. Because you've lost now to USC. Yeah. You lost to Indiana. You lost to Indiana. So both those teams are going and you're not. Right.

SPEAKER_02:

That I think that's And you got Michigan hanging around.

SPEAKER_03:

Right. Michigan with the big game against Ohio State.

SPEAKER_02:

They can make their case for the playoffs just by winning that game.

SPEAKER_03:

That's that's gonna if they if they do that, they're gonna steal Vanderbilt's spot. Right. Right. That that's if a fourth team gets in from the Big Ten, then that's But it should be, honestly, it should be Big Ten and SEC, and then I guess they're gonna take an ACC team in a in a non-conference. Yeah. So there's nine teams. That right there.

SPEAKER_02:

There's nine spots. Would be the scenario where Notre Dame gets left out. Right, and then you got Notre Dame.

SPEAKER_03:

So you got nine spots, and then you got because you have to take conference champions. One, two, three, four, five teams in the Big Ten still with an opportunity. Yeah. And then seven in the SEC?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Seven in the SEC. Notre Dame. Plus Notre Dame, and you have to take conference champions.

SPEAKER_03:

So that's 13, and you got to take nine of them. So four teams are getting left out of that.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Like a lot of the focus has been on, you know, let's say Miami or the second Big 12 team instead of Notre Dame. But what if it comes down to nine teams between the Big Ten and SEC, and then Notre Dame is like, dude, you're shit out of luck. That's because we got to take the ACC Big 12 and group of five.

SPEAKER_03:

That's just that should be their calling to get into a conference.

SPEAKER_02:

Right. That would be lost two games, though. I don't think that's going to happen. I think push comes to shove. You're talking about the SEC sending Vanderbilt or Notre Dame. Notre Dame's going to get that nod over a SEC team.

SPEAKER_03:

And that's what they'll say. They're running through everybody. They'll just be like they're they're playing well enough, and we think they're the best, one of the best teams.

SPEAKER_02:

Right. It would help Notre Dame a lot if all you have to say in this commitment. USC were to make the playoff, say if Pitt were to run the table and get to Sharp.

SPEAKER_03:

I think USC and Oregon, they're going to cancel out. That's a spot. Right. For one of them. Yeah. Right. And the only the only way four Ohio State, Indiana. So that's three spots. Right. Michigan can ruin the party and get four. Yeah, they can't. Three is Big Ten right now. Yeah. And I think five. I think five is guaranteed for the SEC. C is five. Yeah. And then Notre Dame.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. So right now. The other three conference champs. You know.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

And that's kind of what the playoffs.

SPEAKER_03:

Miami blew it.

SPEAKER_02:

That's what the committee told us when it was still only four teams.

SPEAKER_03:

Like Miami, dude, all you had to do is you can't win the ACC. You don't beat and deserve to be in. Right.

SPEAKER_02:

And if it was a four-team playoff, even if he didn't lose the conference. Even if you won the ACC, you better be at full strength if it was four teams because you may not be getting in then either. That's what they told everybody two years ago is there are two conferences that matter. And after we take care of them, then we'll figure out where the rest of you schlubs fit in.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, Miami blew it. A lot of teams blew it. Louisville blew it. And I think that uh Miami has one of the better rosters in the country. Yeah. In terms of like the only I'm trying to think of teams that can beat Ohio State.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I mean, well, yeah. Yeah. The defense might give Ohio State problems.

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, there's gotta be you gotta have dudes. Yeah, yeah. Who had I mean, so the only thing that can think, if Notre Dame got them in like a first round matchup and they could shorten the game up. Notre Dame's defense is playing better. Right. They're getting better. That's still a matchup that you know you don't want almost, is like what Oregon had last year is that number one spot. Yeah, you don't want to be a big one. Well, we'll see if Ohio State can do it from this.

SPEAKER_02:

We'll see if they can beat Michigan. They did it nine and two. Yeah. And getting ranked. We'll see if they can beat Michigan. That's been something that that Ryan Day has struggled with no matter how good his team is. I know. It almost might be better. I mean, they're still gonna go to the Big Ten Championship game if they lose that game, but it it's you know, again, we'll see.

SPEAKER_03:

I g I want to see Vanderbilt make it. But they're it looks like they're gonna be the odd team out. As as it stands. Yeah, they, you know, so I'm rooting for the teams ahead of them and the SEC to lose. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

I would yeah. I'd be scared to play Oklahoma just because of that defense.

SPEAKER_03:

Well, I think they're in. Yeah, that's what's so scary about that game. Is that you look at the rest of their schedule, they're not losing. Yeah, their tough games are done. Yeah, so they're in. They're not gonna leave them out.

SPEAKER_02:

No. No. 10 and 2 when you win at Alabama. No, they sent Texas.

SPEAKER_03:

They pretty much, I mean, I don't think they're gonna host a game. No, they'll be in the 13th. They gotta go to somebody's house.

SPEAKER_02:

It'll be them at Texas Tech. They'll walk into Texas Tech and remind everybody that you know what? Yeah, that's that's the only reason you guys are winning the Big 12 is because we're not here.

SPEAKER_03:

That'll be a fun matchup. But who's gonna blow the playoff in the group of five now?

SPEAKER_02:

It keeps rotating, man. The winner of that American Conference Championship game. You might sit here with Navy going to the.

SPEAKER_03:

You've got Navy and two lane. That's yeah, that looks like he's gonna play two and five and one and six and one respectively. North Texas, though, is nine and one. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. They're still hanging around. I mean, that's the way in, is you you make that title game, win that title game, and you're in the playoffs.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, there's nobody else.

SPEAKER_02:

No, that's the only group of five conference that matters. You know, Conference USA, Sunbelt, none of those teams are ever gonna be ranked high enough.

SPEAKER_03:

Yep. Well, shoot, man. So that makes it at least we know what to expect in terms of what we're gonna see. Florida State went 500 now. Yeah. NC State loses just destroyed. Destroyed to Miami. They're now 500. Thinking maybe they won't be able to. Both teams will be ready to go in a short week. Yeah. For the winner gets bull. Oh, eligibility. The dream of this season was was six wins.

SPEAKER_02:

Was 2014 the last time they won in Raleigh?

SPEAKER_03:

It probably was. I mean, you know, they didn't play every year there.

SPEAKER_02:

No, they they didn't they stopped playing up there every other year.

SPEAKER_03:

You lost the last time you went up there. Anywho, they haven't won a road ACC game. In two years. Two years. Any road game. Yeah, any road game. So that's coming up this week. Right.

SPEAKER_02:

You got Jesus. I don't know when when's the last time they won in Gainesville. Uh well, 23.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, yeah, that's right. Because it was it was Tate. Because alright, so big games. Before we get to the NFL, we'll just get tell you what we got next week. Next week you get that week. You got the biggest game is USC Oregon. That's that's pretty much an elimination game. Yeah. Um, in the ACC, you do have a big game in terms of uh who's going to Charlotte, Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech will be a huge game. That's it for GT. Yeah, and BYU Cincinnati, maybe, but that's it for the matchups in terms of next week. Yeah, a lot of teams playing week week out of conference. It's the rivalry week, the Thanksgiving week. That's when you get Ohio State, Michigan. That's when you get the Iron Bowl. Yeah, that's when you find out who's gonna make the playoff. Like teams like Oregon will play Washington, Miami and Pitt. You watch out for that egg bowl, man. Vanderbilt will play at Tennessee.

SPEAKER_02:

Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

SPEAKER_03:

Notre Dame has Stanford, so they have nobody left. So yeah. Well Lane Kiffin, you know.

SPEAKER_02:

Right. Notre Dame has Qs in Stanford to round the season out. They should finish 10-2.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah. Well, uh the NFL, it was a good game. It was some really good games again. It usually is. Uh came down to the wire in a lot of games. Not the Jags game. Oh man, I told you. I had a feeling they were gonna play angry. Oh, it's the pass rush, man. And then just something about that matchup. Yeah. And I remembered that comeback. Well, that offensive line. It seems like a continuation of that. The Chargers may have the worst offensive line. Yeah, when I looked at the matchup, the offensive line, the way that the Jags play, they're coming off just blowing it. They're gonna be at home. One o'clock. You got the West Coast team. They're not they're not gonna be ready. Yeah. They look like and then the Jags actually played physical. Don't let don't let freaking sunshine. Nah, you hand the ball to ATN, man. And you got another ATN and the other guy, Tootin. Tootin. Base shot. They they carried the ball hard and the Jags looked tough. And they're a playoff team. That's what they look like. And uh the you know, the the big game of the day was the Chiefs at Denver. Biggest uh regular season game for the Chiefs in years, and they did not win. Denver. I'm gonna be honest with you, man. I Bo Knicks outplayed Mahomes. Bo Nicks played well. And uh, you know, I I think just having that he hasn't played well, but one thing I do like about Bo Knicks over this, he does not give a shit. Short-term memory. Yeah, he turns it. Turns coach's son, you can tell he's he's used to it, and I think that's what Sean Payton loves about him. Is like I can rely on him to be able to take it. Right. Next play. Yep. And uh I was impressed. What a throw he made. Yeah. To to to ice that game was the could because the defender was playing at textbook on the outside shoulder, yeah, and he adjusted the throw to the inside right on the money, yeah. Right when he needed to do it, and that's what he's done all year when he has to. When he got to show up, he does. Didn't even have Sertan playing either. Yeah. I mean, he's the possibility the best defensive back in football. Sean Payton. Wait, I mean, Bill Parcel's disciple that knows offense. Yeah. He's way better, he's almost a better coach than Bill with the discipline that Bill offers. Yeah. That I I that's what when he left um New Orleans, and when that's when Jameis went, got that ACL injury on Halloween. Yeah. When he was getting coached by Sean Payton finally. Yep. But you you see why he's he's one of the few coaches that I would, you know, you just pay him how much you want, and you just get out of the way. Let him do whatever the fuck let him do what he wants. Just get out of the way. It it it might look ugly, but he knows how to win. And big win for the Broncos, man.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, they're sitting pretty, man. Pat's Broncos, Colts.

SPEAKER_03:

And the Chargers got killed in in Jacksonville. They have a multiple game lead in that division.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Patriots, what are they? They're they up a game and a half, maybe?

SPEAKER_03:

No, the Patriots are nine and two. The the Broncos are nine and two, and the Colts are eight and two. So all three of those teams are gonna be battling out for home field. It's gonna be fun to watch. Uh Philly just keeps doing it. They, I mean, they got those guys in the middle, man, and they added the dude from my. Yeah, they added Jalen Phillips, man. Their D-line's sick now. They got coo, they got the secondary now. They play, they got linebackers. Their defense looks good luck. Yeah. And like they they can play with a lead, they can play ugly. Take the air out of the ball. If they get home field, ugh. It's gonna be tough. And that win against LA is gonna be huge because they're tied and they'll have the tiebreaker.

SPEAKER_02:

Damn.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, they right now they are the one seed. LA, Philly. They look like Seattle. Seattle had four turnovers, still had a field goal to win the game.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, they're good. They're good, but man, I it it's hard to trust Darnett after a couple of the games they've had this year.

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, the Rams, they have a really good defense. They do. It's just and I think they just got that. You know what's he meant? He was late with the one receiver they got from New Orleans. Yeah. So if he gets more time with him, that's gonna be a weapon for them. Yeah. Like I think Seattle could have won that game easily. So Seattle, even though they lost, that that was a big pickup that receiver. He's so fast, and I don't think their timing's quite there. No. But if that if that develops, but like you said, man, it that can be huge.

SPEAKER_02:

They're gonna have to most likely go on the road to Philly.

SPEAKER_03:

Well, Seattle can win on the road. I'm not worried about the road. Yeah, they can win on the road. They're actually one of the teams I'm not worried about on the road. The Bears, big winners yesterday in Minnesota. Yeah, look at him getting ugly wins. Yep. They blow it and then they somehow find a way. Yeah. They they hold on. It's gotta be this this season's gotta be really like It's insane. For a Bears fan, you're almost like every game, here we go again, but then it's like, oh my god, we're seven. Every time we win. Yeah. This year, you looks like you're gonna do what you always do, but you never do it. You just figure out a way to win. They're in first place. Yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, you know, they're in first place. The Packers and the Lions keep it. With the Packers and the Lions. Right. Well, the Packers won in New York. That was a great game. Jameis.

SPEAKER_02:

Jalen Hyatt cut his route off, man.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, it wasn't his fault. They they played where, you know, they played uh the the right game plan to beat Green Bay to keep the ball away from him. I mean, he had he had one-on-one coverage, man. Limit throws. He was efficient. But you got to give Green Bay made, I mean, the defense for New York played well, and they they got to him, but man, Jordan Love made a great throw in the end zone. That was a great throw and a great catch. In double coverage, he caught it in the corner of the end zone. Giants are still. Because the guy ran the right right route. Giants don't have that. They don't have skill position. Yeah, no, they came right back down. It came down to the end. You can't blame James. The receiver cut the route off.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, he's he's throwing it up there to give the receiver a chance to make the play in one-on-one coverage.

SPEAKER_03:

I wouldn't rush.

SPEAKER_02:

An alpha at wide receiver, a true number one wide receiver, a Mike Evans type, is gonna keep running that corner route and go up and make a contested catch. Right, or it won't be picked.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Jalen Hyatt just stopped. Yep. He just faded off.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm gonna give up because there's a guy out there. The Bills they ran away with it, literally. Josh Allen, six touchdowns, three on the ground, three through the air. Jeez. He's just like a monster that the position's never seen. Right. Because he's gonna go down like probably top five rusher. In terms of touchdowns, he's got close to the city. He's gonna end up like on the Mount Rushmore of like running backs. Yeah. He's already two touchdowns away from the all-time quarterback. He's already about to pass Cam Newton. Yep. And he's still young. Right. He's got yeah. So I just think he's just gonna be breaking records. He's just a freak. Because he'll make some stupid plays, too. Which he did. Yeah. Like a chess pass out of the end zone. Yeah, he's sorry about that. I'll get it back. Don't worry about it. I'll get it back. Yeah, you don't worry about that, Josh. You'll be all right. Because I'll just run for three and throw for three. Yeah. And he makes some of the best throws, and then he's just huge and he has wheels and he can't be brought down.

SPEAKER_02:

Really is unfair.

SPEAKER_03:

But they'll have to do it on the run this year. Yeah, yep. Because a big win for them. They rebounded. The Bucks uh You're in some trouble. Well the Panthers are right there on their heels now. They went into Atlanta and outlasted the Falcons.

SPEAKER_02:

Bryce Young set a franchise record.

SPEAKER_03:

Played a very good game.

SPEAKER_02:

For passing yards. Franchise record.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, Jacoby Brissett also said an NFL.

SPEAKER_02:

Right. And a multiple touchdown loss. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Another four sacks, and speaking of losses for Miles Kennedy.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, man, dude. He's he broke. This is his fourth consecutive season with 16 sacks. Yeah. That breaks Lawrence Taylor's record.

SPEAKER_03:

Right now your Niners are in the playoffs with the uh Lions loss. They're out. We'll see, man.

SPEAKER_02:

The Lions are out. Still got what, six more games to go?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, I know, but it's gonna be fun, man. The Chiefs not in it. The Lions not in it. Yeah, it just these are these were teams that were what, 15 and 1 last year?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Well, you can, I mean, you know, the Lions lost their coordinators. You got Dan Campbell calling plays now. But with the Chiefs, everybody's still there. They're just getting old, man.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Got a lot of game tape on what they like to do. Even on that defense.

SPEAKER_03:

Well, the they got so they got all those one score wins last year. I mean, they still might make it. I wouldn't bet against them to make it. They got the Colts at home next week. Uh, you have some big games to look forward to next week will be that that game right there. The Bears host the Steelers. Uh the uh A. Raj makes his return. The Eagles will be in Dallas. The Bucks are gonna be on the road in LA against the Rams on prime time. That's a big one right there. Um and the Panthers will also be on the road in San Francisco in prime time. That's another big one. Yep. Those are your big games next week. What's that? Oh shuttle time, baby.

SPEAKER_00:

I see him coming down the road. All right, he's here. We got a uh shuttle. Uh all right.

SPEAKER_03:

We gotta get on out of here. All right's here. Before we go.

SPEAKER_01:

Oops. What's our next game? Tomorrow? Looking forward to it. UT Martin. All right. Get back in the win column. My favorite sport. That's right.

SPEAKER_03:

FG basketball.

SPEAKER_01:

Fun, man.

SPEAKER_03:

It's just really glad that we got a product. The way they're playing, they got uh UT Martin, and they'll play Georgia Southern. Yeah. Then they got Texas AM, then they played Georgia and Houston. You mess. So they're gonna be playing some teams out of conference. I like that. That's what you want if you're gonna make the tournament. You have to.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

The ACC is not what it wants.

SPEAKER_03:

It was.

SPEAKER_02:

It's not, it's a little bit stronger this year. Yeah, it is. Um teams like Wake Forest are gonna still.

SPEAKER_03:

I think you if you give yourself that strength of schedule, it puts you in position where you have more wiggle room in the conference. Quad won losses, baby. Yes. Right. Yeah, you're right. But it's fun to watch. Yeah. Yeah. We got a Friday night football game this week.

SPEAKER_02:

It will be the last night game of the season for Florida State.

SPEAKER_03:

As the Florida State. Florida game will be during the day.

SPEAKER_02:

It'll be 3:30 or 4:30.

SPEAKER_03:

So in Carter Finley on Friday night for a chance to salvage your season. Right. To get to a bowl after two wins.

SPEAKER_02:

Triple your win total from a year ago. Yeah. To live the dream this. Six-win dream.

SPEAKER_03:

Huge, huge game.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Rawls. Oh. Best defensive back. Arguably the best player on defense this year. Done for the year. That's not good. No. But you know, whatever, man. At this point, it's just next man up. Yeah. You know, he didn't play against Virginia Tech. That's right. You got two chances. Just take care of this. You really like to find a way to win in Raleigh. Yeah, just get this. You gotta do this. You gotta win this game.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

At this point, you got to, man. That goes. Right then. We'll watch him.

SPEAKER_02:

The wishing and hoping is over. And we'll react to them.

SPEAKER_03:

And we'll give you picks next time. Right here. On the North Florida Sports Network.

SPEAKER_01:

You gotta give us a shot. You don't want to do that!
