Austin Fletcher Season 4 Episode 407
SPEAKER_01:

Let me ask you one question The note floor is born floor is born floor, the note floor is born on network. You gotta get my note floor is born on network, it's born on network.

SPEAKER_08:

Thanks, giving up to coming to you a little bit early. Yeah, we got one guy and today's just to update it. So we got text six tunes. We're gonna do all the NFL texts. At the end of that, we'll just throw in some college picks as we look forward to a big rivalry weekend. We'll talk about that. So big stuff. Before we get started on the picks, let's go over the results from last week as Justin Costanza with 10 and 4. With the opposite work. Yours truly 9 and 5 again, just turning them out. Mike and Jimmy both 7 and 7.

SPEAKER_07:

Overall, that's a pretty good week, bro.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, pretty good. Overall, on the season, I am 96 and 81. Mike is 89 and 88. Jimmy is 85 and 92, and Justin 77 and 96. If only you were just doing that all year, Justin, you'd be in the league. This will be called the Castanza Combat. Well, we got Thanksgiving games. We'll start right there. It's gonna be a really good slate. And it starts in Detroit as usual. I really like this game. It's the Packers. In Detroit last week, the Lions were able to get the overtime win over Jameis and the Giants, which was probably the most entertaining game of the whole day. Over a thousand yards. That game was so much fun. Jameer Gibbs, the trick plays from the Giants. It was, I mean, it was so much fun. You know, because all I really cared about is Jameis, and he did well. I don't really give a crap if they won. I mean, I want him to win because he wants to win. But anyway, they covered. And he's been covering, he's two and oh in the covers.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah. In the covers.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, but Detroit, though, the defense, they allowed a lot of yards. They're gonna be hosting Green Bay. Green Bay's getting two and a half in Detroit. All right, Costanza. Who you got?

SPEAKER_06:

Oh. Well, since I uh it's in Detroit, Detroit looked awesome. Jordan Love can't do shit. Give me the Packers.

SPEAKER_08:

Oh man. This is uh Packers look good. The defense looks good. I don't know what it is with them. People don't seem to.

SPEAKER_06:

It's Jordan Love playing like shit, dude. I think like 110 yards.

SPEAKER_08:

I think Detroit's gonna they they play well at home, short week. Thanksgiving at home. I'm gonna go with Detroit at home. Give me the Lions minus the two and a half. Jimmy?

SPEAKER_07:

Alright. Well, I gotta make up some ground. So I brought in some help. Oh yeah. I'm gonna have Junior making my picks here with me. Uh-oh. So what do you think here, Junior?

SPEAKER_03:

I'm not picking the Green Bay ever, no matter what.

SPEAKER_08:

So you're going lions. Going Detroit. We're going Detroit. Minus two and a half. All right. I like it. All right, Mike. Who you got?

SPEAKER_05:

What was his reasoning? He just hates the Packers. He just hates the Packers.

SPEAKER_08:

He's obviously going with his heart here.

SPEAKER_05:

Okay. Got it. Okay. I didn't know if he had some insight that I didn't tend.

SPEAKER_08:

No, we're going with the the spread here, but hey.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

Gostanza went 10 and 4 last week.

SPEAKER_05:

Right, right. Yeah. I would take the uh the Green Bay Packers.

unknown:

All right.

SPEAKER_08:

You're going to take the Players.

SPEAKER_05:

I don't know when the last time I picked against I don't know when the last time I picked against the Lions was, but I'm doing it this week.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. Alright, so we got two for the Packers, two for the Lions. Let's go to the next game, and that's in Dallas, as the Chiefs will be in Dallas. As this is going to be like ratings, bonanza. Because the Cowboys coming off a big comeback victory against the Eagles. Or take it on the Chiefs coming off a big comeback victory against the Colts. Both great wins for the teams. Both look like they weren't going to win the game. Right. And uh this is going to be a fun game. You know, we'll really find out if the Dallas offense is for real. The defense has been playing better. They shut down Philly in the second half. But I'm going Kansas City here. It's just 33 first downs last week. I mean, they just control the ball. I think they'll do that. And uh Spagnola will have something for Dak. Give me the Chiefs minus the three. Mike, who you got?

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, I'm gonna go Chiefs as well. I think Dallas is kind of fake.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. I mean, I'm telling you though, they they've played well against really good. I mean, the tie against the Packers, you know, the they've beaten the Eagles, so they're getting three points at home. Yeah, that's true. You know, three points at home against the Chiefs, who are six and five, who have lost to the Jags. So, Justin, Costanza, what do you think here? Or what don't you think?

SPEAKER_06:

Well, the Chiefs uh, like I said last week, dude, they gotta kind of like win out to make the playoffs. You can't bet it depends on your candy read and Pat Mahomes.

SPEAKER_04:

So I'm better against them.

SPEAKER_06:

Jimmy the Cowboys.

SPEAKER_08:

Yes, I love it. All right, all right, Jimmys.

SPEAKER_07:

Well, I should have picked the Cowboys last week. I toyed with it. God damn it, I'm doing it this week. How about him, man? You're going with the Cowboys plus the three. That's right. George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb. All right, no running game coming from the Chiefs.

SPEAKER_08:

Well, we thought the night game would be a snoozer, but Joe Burrow looks like he's gonna get the start for the Bengals. So that that game just got more interesting. As the Bengals are going to Baltimore, they're getting seven.

SPEAKER_03:

Oof.

SPEAKER_08:

Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

Um wow.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05:

I wonder if he's really gonna play or not.

SPEAKER_08:

I think he is.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

I think he is.

SPEAKER_05:

So the Bengals have lost.

SPEAKER_08:

I think the NFL called it in. They're like, hey man, this is Thanksgiving Day. Uh we need the ratings. Yeah. This game sucks if you don't play. You're playing. I'm going Ravens. Ravens at home minus the seven. All right. All right, uh, let's go, Jimmy, here. Jimmy's. Junior, what do you got? Ravens at home minus the seven. All right, uh, Justin, what are you thinking?

SPEAKER_06:

Ravens at home.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, hold on, hold on. All right, we just got an update. Oh. It's six and a half. That is a big deal. And I'm gonna go with the six and a half. So did and I'm gonna let you guys change it if you want.

SPEAKER_05:

That's better for us.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, it's better. No way. Yeah, why would you want to change it? Or not change it. All right. All right, all right. Justin, say it's six and a half.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, so you got the Ravens in basically the same situation as the Ravens can still win their division. They're hot as hell. They're at home Thanksgiving night. Give me the Bengals.

SPEAKER_02:

The Bengals.

SPEAKER_08:

Oh man, this game confuses me because I don't like the way Lamar's been playing. You know, I got him on my fantasy team. Uh he's not running like he used to.

SPEAKER_07:

There's no T. Higgins.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07:

No Hendrickson.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. And you got you got um, I mean, it's there's something about Burrow coming back. Right. I think that's gonna inspire the team. I I think they're gonna cover. Give me the Bengals. I'm with you. I'm with you, George. All right, let's go to the juniors biggest game that he's looking forward to as the Bears!

SPEAKER_07:

Here we go.

SPEAKER_08:

Dennis Farina's Bears.

SPEAKER_07:

Black Friday.

SPEAKER_08:

Black Friday. This is the game of the week, I think. As the Bears, first place Bears.

SPEAKER_07:

First place, eight and three.

SPEAKER_08:

Are gonna be at the Eagles coming off the loss. Still first place in their division. The Bears are getting seven. Jimmy, who you got?

SPEAKER_05:

Bears, obviously.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. They're gonna win?

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. Bears winning outright. The money line. It's plus 260. All right. Mike, who you got?

SPEAKER_05:

I'm gonna go with the insider there. I'll take the bears. I'll stick with that. He sounds like he knows more than I am.

SPEAKER_08:

It's getting crowded over here. Right. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07:

Sausages. We got some brats.

SPEAKER_08:

We're gonna put some uh sauce on top of the cheese.

SPEAKER_07:

Lou Malnaddi's pizza. We got a couple pies coming.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07:

All right. Uh Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

The Bears are the fakest 8-3 team. They're the fakest team with a winning record. Caleb Williams sucks. Give me the Bears.

SPEAKER_08:

Oh my goodness. It's a system, man. I mean, I I know. I know, man. I think he's on to something. He's definitely on to something. All right. Let's go. All right. Uh man, I'm I'm going Chicago here, man. Yeah. Yeah. I think we're all riding the party buzz, man. I don't like that. We're going the Bears here. We're shot. Plus the seven. That's seven's a lot.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

The Bears have an identity. You know, they run the ball and they get good, they lead the league in big plays. So I think, and I really like the coach. So I'll go seven here. I don't think they're going to win, though. All right. Uh, let's go to Tampa. As uh the Bucks have been struggling. Three in a row, they've lost now. Yeah, they lost their QB. I told you it's the NFC South. It comes back to 500. Yeah. That's a good one. All right. The Cardinals are getting two and a half in Tampa. Jimmy, who got?

SPEAKER_07:

Who are we going with here, man? It's going to be Cardinals. He's he's not a fan of Teddy Bridgewater. Cardinals. Is Bridgewater getting the start? I would assume so. I mean, Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

Teddy Bridgewater gets Jacoby Brissett. That's pretty even right there. So I'll take Tampa Bay at home at the one o'clock game with the East Coast advantage.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with you, Mike. They have to have this. I mean, this is at home. I mean, I think they'll win because the Cardinals just suck, man. They just figure out a way. I mean, Jacoby Brissett's doing everything he can, but he's got no help.

SPEAKER_07:

We got no running game.

SPEAKER_08:

Got no running game, and the defense is just put behind. This is what the Bucs need. I'm going to go Bucks at home, Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

Teddy Bridgewater, when was the last time he took an NFL snap? Was it when he was backing up Tua with the Dolphins like three years ago?

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, I think he came. He's come in this season.

SPEAKER_06:

He played in Detroit for a few for a few plays.

SPEAKER_08:

I think he coached in high school too.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, he was a coach at Northwestern.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, so I mean that that bodes that bodes well for Arizona, uh quarterback who hasn't really played in three years. Yeah. So give me the bucks.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. Yeah. Oh man. You know what? Are you gonna do it? I haven't done the hose flip in a while. You're gonna flip it. I'm doing it. You're flipping it. I uh there's something about it. I think I think I'm not with George on this one. I think he convinced me to hear with what he thinks.

SPEAKER_07:

Just every time every time I see Todd Bowl's face is like he's smelling the worst stank shit.

SPEAKER_08:

That defense has been terrible. Yeah. And and Jacoby can he'll he'll move the ball on you. And I they've been giving up points to everybody. I'm gonna go Cardinals here. Plus the two and a half. All right. Uh I haven't had a hose flip in a while. No, you haven't. It feels good. All right. Uh let's go to Indy. As this is a good game. As the Texans in the number one defense in the NFL. Um where are we at on the quarterback for Houston?

SPEAKER_07:

Is it still Miles Davis, Davis Mills?

SPEAKER_08:

Again, I think he's serviceable, but I think you would definitely rather have. I don't know, would you? The way he was playing? I would. Okay. I'd rather have CJ Stroud.

SPEAKER_05:

I've found something that the last four games he played before he got hurt, he was actually doing pretty well. 250 and two touchdowns a game. Um I think he started off really terrible though.

SPEAKER_08:

He's in uh it's still, he's kind of he's still in the protocol. It's looking like he might play. It's kind of like the same thing with Jackson Dart there, but you don't know. I I I wouldn't do it. Right. If it's if it's quite like because you got Davis Mills, you know, and he's been doing just fine, and that defense is your ticket. Yeah. So just rely on that. But um either way, it's fouston's getting four. Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

Wow. Oh shoot. I will take uh I'll take the Colts. I'm I'm a Danny Dimes guy now, I guess.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05:

Indiana Jones.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, right. Indiana. The Colts minus the four at home, Jimmy.

SPEAKER_03:

Texans.

SPEAKER_08:

Houston with the points.

SPEAKER_07:

We think Daniel Jones has turned back into a pumpkin.

SPEAKER_08:

Ah.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

You got a Colts at home. You got good offense, good defense with the Colts. Great defense with the Texans and a backup quarterback on the road. Give me the Texans. Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_07:

Oh, man. You know you want to pick the Texans, man. Come on, do it. Uh do you really trust Daniel Jones against this defense?

SPEAKER_08:

No. I'm gonna take the home team, the home dog. Take that defense barking. Give me the give me the Houston Texans plus the four.

SPEAKER_04:

All right, let's go to Isn't the game in Indianapolis?

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. You're right. I'm sorry. Let's go to the road away team that's not barking. The road dog that's not barking. They're not coming up and in.

SPEAKER_06:

The yelping road dog. Whimpering his way down.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. Man, I don't know about that one, but I'm gonna stick with it. All right, let's go to New York as the Jets. Ugh. Your Jets. Covered last week. Yeah. Uh they are hosting the Falcons. Oh, here's a great team. Yeah. It's Kirk Cousins will be a guy for the rest of the year. Penix is out for the season. Is this gonna Tyrod Taylor versus Kurt Cousins? Jesus. Two teams that could have had Jameis. Yeah. Um, yeah, man. Right. Well, the Jets are getting two and a half at home. Justin?

SPEAKER_06:

See, the Jets are freaking awful. My god, they're so bad. Um, but god, the Falcons ain't much better. But they've got B. John Robinson, who's the best player on the field.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

So that means Jay.

SPEAKER_08:

Give me the Jets. Uh I'll go Falcons. Hmm.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, I mean, you don't feel good about picking either one of these. Jimmy.

SPEAKER_08:

What do we think here, Junior? He's going Falcons here, minus two and a half. Uh, Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, I'm going Falcons as well. All right.

SPEAKER_08:

That's a classic Costanza pick right there. All right. Let's go to uh let's go to Miami as the Dolphins coming off a bye. Playing better.

SPEAKER_07:

Right, yeah. Showing signs of life. They're fighting for their coach, right?

SPEAKER_08:

Well, the Saints are coming to town, and that's good. Yeah, it's good. It's coming off a bye. Saints are getting five. You get the shucking Saints coming to town. I'm going dolphins here, minus the five. Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

Dude, no Alvin Kamara for the Saints. I think he's out for the year. So the Saints clearly cover this spread in Miami. Go Saints.

SPEAKER_08:

Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

Man, these Dolphins are pissing me off so much. They're gonna be they're gonna be what they do, man. You know what they do? You know what they're gonna do.

SPEAKER_08:

It's like well. This is the year where they had Flores. Remember, they were like one and seven, and it's like, well, they're gonna finish the year like 500. It's just like wait, the owner wants me to lose all purpose?

SPEAKER_07:

No. Nah, man. We're gonna win.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05:

We're gonna win. All right. So who you got? Yeah, they're gonna get they're gonna get four more wins. Uh I'm gonna take the Dolphins. Um I'm gonna be a definite warning.

SPEAKER_07:

What is the Dolphins record right now? Four and seven. Four and seven. Yeah. Then yeah, they got the winner.

SPEAKER_05:

They got some winnable games coming up. Yeah, all right.

SPEAKER_07:

They got three or four wins coming.

SPEAKER_08:

So we're gonna go with the Dolphins here. All right. You're right about that. Here, let's go to uh Tennessee as the Titans. Um they showed fight as they backdoor covered last week. They gotta get Cam Ward some help, man. You know, a strep of address this week. Um well they're getting six points at home. They've been a home dog all year. Yeah. Trevor Turnover Lawrence is coming in. Uh, but they won despite him last week.

SPEAKER_07:

They win despite him all season.

SPEAKER_08:

I know. Um minus six, Jacksonville in Tennessee. Mike, who you got?

SPEAKER_05:

Uh I'll take the uh home dogs. Isn't that what you guys like saying the home dogs? Yeah, he's going Titans plus the six. I don't care if I lose. I'm not picking Jacksonville ever.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. I can see that. I mean, I feel like they that this is a tough one. But I'm gonna let Justin figure it out. Justin, who you got?

SPEAKER_06:

Titans are the worst team in the league. They have they've only, like you said, they've only ever been a home underdog this season. They're freaking terrible. Give me the Titans.

SPEAKER_05:

Hey, if you guys want to go to this game, you can get tickets for$11, right? All right, man. An NL game,$11.

SPEAKER_07:

All right. Uh Jimmy,$11. Well, who are we going with? My expert over here says we're rolling with the Titans to cover. Wow. Not a fan of Trevor Lawrence. Never have been. Neither one of us. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

Got a whole lot of Costanzas in this pick, man. Yeah, yeah. I see. I just like I don't know, man.

SPEAKER_07:

I just see Trevor Lawrence keeping the game close. Right. Right. I mean, exactly. No matter, it doesn't matter who they're playing. And I think Cam Ward can pull enough heroics to keep it close, man. Six is just too much. This is a tough one. I mean, maybe Atian goes off and like runs for 200 yards again.

SPEAKER_08:

That's give me the jags.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. Let's go to Carolina. Uh the Rams are coming into town. The first place Rams. They look really good. Panthers are at home. They're up and down. They beat teams 30 to nothing. You know, then they lose to the Niners when Purdy throws three picks in the first half. They don't do nothing with it. You know, they l they they beat Green Bay at Green Bay, but they're gonna be home. They're getting 10 points. Ooh. Jimmy. Rams. Rams. Wow.

SPEAKER_07:

I got them winning the Super Bowl.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, um, Mike, who you got?

SPEAKER_07:

Panthers.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. Ten points is too much, even though I really like the Rams right now. I think disrespectful. Yeah, I think it's too much. Turkey Day, you know, West Coast to East Coast. I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go Panthers plus the 10. Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, that that spread is is way too big, so I will be taking the Rams to cover. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. We got the Browns. Shador Sanders. In Cleveland as the Niners are coming to town. Ooh.

SPEAKER_07:

What a miserable Thanksgiving.

SPEAKER_08:

It's gonna be windy and snowy. Of course. It's Cleveland. It's November. The Browns, it's it was it's down to four and a half. They're only getting four and a half.

SPEAKER_07:

They believe in Shed Doer that much.

unknown:

Shed.

SPEAKER_07:

Jimmy? Who are we going with? You know what? I'm not picking the Browns. Oh, he's going nine or something. That's right. That's right. I don't care how many goddamn three or interceptions Brock Purdy throws, and he's gonna throw a lot.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07:

But I got belief in this defense from old Bob Blob. Against Sador, yeah. Yeah. So I got him winning 10 to 3.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, uh Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, I mean, the San Francisco, man, they they just win. Uh I don't know what it is. They're they just win, and with McCaffrey, that ground game, they'll be able to run snow. So give me the shador and the browns. Give me the shitty.

SPEAKER_08:

Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

Oh, San Francisco.

SPEAKER_08:

Okay. All right. So um, man, this Costanza's pulling me, man. I mean, Miles, do it, dude. Pulling me, man. I can't re I can't resist. Give me the Browns, baby. That defense at home, man, pretty sucks, man. I think they're regretting that that contract. They gotta be regretting that. They got the better quarterbacks, the backup.

SPEAKER_07:

It's a quarter of a billion dollars. He'd have to be playing.

SPEAKER_08:

And Jones is on like what playing for five million? If that's yeah, it's ridiculous.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah. Think of these last couple$50 million contracts, dude. Trevor Burrus, Jr. I'm telling you, yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

And these guys that you can go look at what Jameis did last week. I mean, I'm I know that's but still, look at Jacoby Brissett. I mean, they're better off. I mean, then paying. Oh my God.

SPEAKER_06:

Look what Carson Wentz was doing before he got hurt, even.

unknown:

Right.

SPEAKER_06:

McCarthy go offense.

SPEAKER_07:

You let Sam Darnold walk to to commit to JJ McCarthy. Yep. I think the only the only worse QB in recent history than McCarthy this season is Jamarcus Russell. Anthony Richardson's probably up there. Yeah, Richardson's up there. I mean, that's just so who you picking.

SPEAKER_08:

You picking the Browns? I told you I'll go in with the Browns, man. Everybody else got this, my bad. Um, Seattle. How about Smith and Jigba, man? Already the leading receiver in franchise history. And I mean, come on, man. It's only been 13 games.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah. Eleven.

SPEAKER_07:

Eleven games. Eight and three, yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

You're doing the math in your head. No, my freaking daughter's bothering the hell out of me. Trying to do this damn show.

SPEAKER_07:

Ah, the joys of father.

SPEAKER_08:

Alright. Um sorry about that. It's alright, man. All right, Seattle. Smith and Jigba, all right? Goodness gracious. Yeah, I think I'm gonna keep it.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, it's yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, I'm gonna keep screw it. I'm keeping it. It's family time. It's family time. It's uh Seattle. It's a family show. I mean, Smith and Jigba, man. He's gonna, he's on pace to go over 2,000 yards, which hasn't been done before. Ever. So, oh my goodness. Rookie. It's crazy. I'd like to. Minus 11 and a half. The Vikings are starting a nobody at quarterback as JJ's out. Oh, he's out. Yep. Oh, so that's an improvement. Yeah, so plus eleven and a half for the Vikings on the road. Mike, who you got? So who are they starting? You'd like to know that, wouldn't you? I would like to know. Well, they're starting. Fran Tarkinton.

SPEAKER_07:

I'm about to look it up.

SPEAKER_05:

Don't do it.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah. I mean, unless it's Cunningham or Warren Moon, it's not really gonna matter. Is it Pep? Cold Pepper?

SPEAKER_05:

Cold Pepper.

SPEAKER_06:

Oh god, not Cold Pepper. Oh, Culpepper, man. Nick Saban could have been the best NFL coach ever and said he's the best college coach because of freaking Dante Culpepper.

SPEAKER_07:

Max Brosmer.

SPEAKER_05:

Okay. Oh boy.

SPEAKER_07:

That is definitely a new team.

SPEAKER_05:

I'll take the other team. I'll take the opposite of Max Grosmer.

SPEAKER_08:

Alright. Um he played for the Golden Gophers now. So you're talking about a Minnesota guy. Oh man. He's rowing the boat up there in Minnesota.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. That doesn't sound very Nordic thing. And he's getting 11 and a half. In Seattle. Jimmy, who you got?

SPEAKER_06:

Seahawks.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. That defense is serious, man. Justin, who you got?

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, I mean, like Smith and Jigma, like you were saying. I mean, that guy should be in the MVP conversation.

SPEAKER_08:

Crosmer.

SPEAKER_06:

And and the Seattle defense is sick, and they're in Seattle, right? Yeah. Yeah, that explains the 11 and a half. And that's why the Vikings cover it with Mac Brosmer.

SPEAKER_07:

Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_08:

I'm not going with you on this one, but uh I got Seahawks big, man. I think they blew him out.

SPEAKER_07:

By all means, they should Brozmer. Brosmer. Is it Brosmer or Brosmer?

SPEAKER_08:

All right.

SPEAKER_07:

Does it matter? I'm telling you.

SPEAKER_08:

It's gonna be a cover for Costanza. That's what it's probably gonna be. All right, let's go to Vegas. I mean, let's go to LA as Vegas gonna be there. They are terrible. Chip Kelly got fired. The Chargers are getting nine. I mean, the Raiders get nine in LA. Jimmy, who you got?

SPEAKER_07:

What are we thinking here, man? He's thinking LA.

SPEAKER_08:

LA minus the nine.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah. I like it. Give me the charges.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, uh, Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, I'll go. Wow. Well, damn, the Chargers got beat 35 to 6 last weekend by Jack.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, they had a bye.

SPEAKER_05:

Okay. All right. Holy cow.

SPEAKER_08:

Other Chargers, I guess. Yeah, it's the Raiders, man. Geno Smith's just stealing millions. Yeah, uh, he really is. They really, they really do suck. Um But man, nine points is a lot. This is the team that beat the Patriots.

SPEAKER_07:

Right. Remember who who coaching both teams, though.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07:

It's milkstake against Pete Carroll. Yeah, I think Is there anybody that he likes beating more than old Pete?

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, I think the Chargers cover here.

SPEAKER_05:

Was this the one where he's like, what's your deal? And then the other guy goes, What's your deal? Yeah.

SPEAKER_07:

They've been right. They're going out of since Stanford and USC days. Um Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

See, the Raiders are a total dumpster fire. Like absolute dumpster fire. And the Chargers need dumpster wins because the Chiefs are coming. And they'll win by a Raiders cover.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, Pittsburgh. Bills. They haven't been looking good. Steelers really haven't been looking good.

SPEAKER_07:

Is is is Rudolph gonna stay at QB? Are they gonna bring Friar Tuck back in? What's the deal with his wrist? Rogers is playing. Alright.

SPEAKER_08:

I mean, I I mean I'm guessing, man. Right. I mean, I it's it's probably. I don't know that for sure. Rodgers is playing, I think. I mean, he's still listed as questionable. He's listed as questionable. All right. I'm I'm I'm putting it out there. He's playing.

SPEAKER_06:

You gotta think he's gonna play. Yeah, you gotta think he's playing.

SPEAKER_08:

I'm playing. I mean, if you look at the line, it's three and a half. I think it'd be more if he wasn't.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

Um the Steelers are getting three and a half. The Bills minus three and a half in Pittsburgh. Ooh. Jimmy, who you got?

SPEAKER_07:

What do we think? Home Dough! He's going Steelers. I like it.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, uh, Mike, who you got?

SPEAKER_05:

Oh man, I'm usually on Buffalo. I guess I'll go uh see this weather real quick.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, there you go. What's the weather gonna be?

SPEAKER_05:

Chance of rain, 35 degrees. I'm going to wintery, Max. Yeah, 12 miles per hour winds. I'm going Buffalo. He's built for this. All right. He's built for this.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. Uh uh, Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

Dude, nobody's more disappointing to me than my my bills this year, dude.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

They're so one-dimensional. It's just like Josh Allen go be Superman.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

And it it's just not working.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

That all being said, I see some wagons. I see them circling. Uh-oh. Get the table.

SPEAKER_02:

Give me the bills. I'm back.

SPEAKER_08:

Tables. Alright. Alright. Oh man. Steelers plus three and a half. The hook will bring you back. And I will take that. Because, I mean, that's what Mike Tomlin does. And he's getting back with the loss. He'll probably win. Or they'll keep it close. I'm going to go three and a half. I'll take the Steelers at home. Alright, let's go to Washington as the Denver Broncos.

SPEAKER_07:

First place Denver Broncos.

SPEAKER_08:

Are gonna be in the nation's capital. Facing the Commanders. The Commanders are getting six at home.

SPEAKER_07:

Is it still Mariota?

SPEAKER_06:

Well, um at this point, I'd just let Jaden Daniels sit the rest of the season, man. You don't want to RG3 that kid. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

Uh he's still, I mean, he's practicing. You know. But uh I would guess it's gonna be Mariota. Plus six.

SPEAKER_07:

Who you got? Jimmy. Man, can the Broncos blow people out? Do they No, no, but they win. They win. I'm gonna take him to cover this. Wow. I know it's high for Denver, but Washington is not a serious team right now. I don't like Marcus Mariota. So there you go. There's my reasoning. Scientific. Yep. Mike.

SPEAKER_05:

I'm gonna take uh I'm gonna take Washington. Broncos win. They won by three three. I'm with you.

SPEAKER_08:

I'm with you, Mike. I'm with you on this. I didn't think I would be. Since you, you know, pick up.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, typically I typically I wouldn't have a couple of things. Um, but uh they just don't blow teams out.

SPEAKER_08:

I got Broncos winning, uh commanders covering. Yeah. Uh Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, no, y'all are all right about this. The Broncos are gonna win. Uh they don't win by a lot. Give me the Redskins to cover with Mariota. Wow.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. All right. Um Monday nighter. I really hope Jackson Dart stays in the concussion protocol. I really do. I mean, come on, man. Same situation as well. Like, what do you do? What do you want to play him for, really, though? Like, you want to get him hurt again?

SPEAKER_06:

But yeah, I mean, Jameis is too fun right now to bench at the risk of injuring your future quarterback.

SPEAKER_08:

I love, I've been, you know, I'm a super fan, but you know, I other players looking up, watching highlights during their own game. Yeah. You know, uh, what was it? Uh Kelsey guy on his podcast said there's no other player he wants to watch more. Well, I suppose. He said we can't have Jackson Tart get healthy.

SPEAKER_07:

He saw online on an idea. He's like more than Brady.

SPEAKER_08:

I'd rather watch this guy.

SPEAKER_07:

Every week, no matter what. Whichever NFL team needs a quarterback that week. Yeah, all-time quarterback. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

Jameis to the Dolphins. Here we go.

SPEAKER_08:

Well, hey, man, there's a couple teams that I think he's I think he's doing well in terms of and also not just that, I think the guys that are getting paid a lot aren't aren't doing aren't making that difference. Right. So I think that's gonna attract him more to a lot of teams.

SPEAKER_06:

More than Miami on a one-year deal next year and no fucking why would you want to pay two of like again?

SPEAKER_08:

I would take a picture. Like, so if one if a quarterback has like a one good season, you're gonna pay him fifty-five million dollars. Anyway, the Giants are getting seven and a half in New England. I'm taking them because he might play. So yeah. Yeah. He's been covering. I'm gonna seven and a half too much. I'll take the Giants. Jimmy?

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, I picked against Booty last week. I'm not doing it every day. Oh, yeah. Give me the Giants.

SPEAKER_08:

I can't believe that.

SPEAKER_07:

I know. Uh, how did he feel?

SPEAKER_08:

Uh yeah, I know, right? How'd he sleep at night? All right, Mike, who you got?

SPEAKER_05:

A cry.

SPEAKER_08:

Let me see. What's the spreadsheet? It's uh seven and a half. In New England, first place.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08:

Ten and two Patriots on a Monday night. Uh Jackson Dart might play.

SPEAKER_05:

And it might be snowing as well, so I'm gonna say it's gonna be closer. I'll take uh not the Patriots.

SPEAKER_08:

All right. Wow. All right, Justin.

SPEAKER_05:

I'm on Jameis. Team Jameis after that.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, all right, all right. Justin.

SPEAKER_06:

Dude, that's way too big of a spread and an easy cover for Jameis. Give me the patch and Drake May to cover that spread.

unknown:

Yes.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, man. Well, there it is. There's your NFL picks. Uh before we get what? No, I don't hear it because we're gonna go. We got some college football. It's rivalry week. It's rivalry week.

SPEAKER_06:

We got a lot of college football.

SPEAKER_08:

I know. We got uh Miami uh contributor Justin here as the Canes are in the playoff right now, if it were to start today, but it doesn't. And because they are the highest ranked ACC team. They're in Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers, a game that you've circled all season as uh not just one that you're not looking forward to. The Panthers are getting six and a half at home. What do you think about this game, Justin?

SPEAKER_06:

Like you said, I've been I've been terrified of this game since August before I even saw the Kings play. Scared shitless of this game. And I almost don't know what I want to happen more because if we win, the playoff committee is going to bend us over and screw us really, really.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah, you're not getting in, man. I'm just saying you're not.

SPEAKER_06:

We really have Alabama at 10. We have the same record as Alabama and a common opponent with FSU. They got us ahead, they got them ahead of us. And we got the head-to-head with Notre Dame. I know with the same thing.

SPEAKER_08:

They're gonna screw the ACC.

SPEAKER_06:

Oh, it's coming, dude. It's coming. And really the only chance Miami's got to get into the playoffs is we Virginia tech to upset Virginia this weekend, and we gotta beat Pitt. And last I saw the uh kid at Pitt, uh, uh the running back kid, uh Reed, was it Desmond Reed or Dexter Reed or something like that? That got a shredded FSU. Yeah, he's out. He's he's out. Yeah. And I think with him being out, that's gonna be the factor in the game. And we already said, but like we talked about uh in the Pittsburgh game, it's gonna be shit-ass weather uh up there for a for a South Florida team, typically. But this Miami team with the offensive line and this running game that just dude, we just keep popping out new running backs. I mean, this Pringle kid, this freshman kid, Pringle is a freaking monster. He might be the best back we have. And we still got Marty Brown, he's still got Mark Fletcher, dude. Can't are gonna win this game, and then Virginia's gonna beat the City Tech, and Miami's gonna get screwed, and then y'all can listen to me go off next week.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, we had to go.

SPEAKER_03:

What was that?

SPEAKER_08:

We gotta get on out of here. All right, here. But before we go, that Miami game's gonna be. I think I like the hurricanes. Minus the six and a half.

SPEAKER_07:

Yeah, I think it's gonna be the other line.

SPEAKER_08:

We also got uh for Miami that decides that.

SPEAKER_07:

I think the defensive line is gonna live in that backfield.

SPEAKER_08:

Yep. Georgia Tech hosting the Bulldogs. 14 and a half there. Ole Miss and the Egg Bowl. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07:

For me, the old mist and and Oklahoma game. Right. And both of those losers.

SPEAKER_06:

Ole Miss loses in Starkville, I'm calling it.

SPEAKER_08:

I and then he leaves the next day.

SPEAKER_07:

Right, and I think that opens up some some conversation for Miami.

SPEAKER_08:

All right, now we're AM, Texas.

SPEAKER_06:

Glad this game is back.

SPEAKER_08:

Yeah. That's gonna be a good one. That's Friday. That's Friday, Arizona State, Arizona. Both teams ranked. Oh, and then the big one at noon Saturday, Ohio State, Michigan.

SPEAKER_07:

And Ryan, they do it.

SPEAKER_08:

And then uh we got another dream scenario. It's a six-win dream is still on the line for the Knolls down in Gainesville.

SPEAKER_07:

Can't wait to see that asshole pound in the chest ball game. Do you believe? Am I gonna lose to an interim coach for the second time in my career in Gainesville? Yes, you are.

SPEAKER_08:

We'll find out a lot this weekend. The Iron Bowl, watch out for that one. Iron Bowl with upset.

SPEAKER_06:

At night in Jordan Hare, man. We need to night in Jordan Hare is a scary place to play.

SPEAKER_08:

Mike, uh he's trying to will it to happen. He wants chaos this weekend. He wants chaos too.

SPEAKER_06:

I need the chaos. I need the chaos.

SPEAKER_08:

We will have we'll find out where old Kiffin's gonna be coaching. We'll have a lot to talk about. We got NFL, we got college football, and we got college poops. Yeah, it's good. We got a little more gnolls coming off big win. They're gonna get some up in uh competition.

SPEAKER_04:

Yep.

SPEAKER_08:

So a lot to watch, a lot to react to, and a lot to talk to you with next time. Right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
