In this powerful Wednesday Evening Ministry Class, Brother Minister Jason Fareed teaches from Chapter 24 of Our Saviour Has Arrived, “God Helps Those Who Help Themselves.”
Beginning with Lost-Found Muslim Lesson No. 2, Question 11 — “Will you sit at home and wait for that mystery God to bring you food?” — this class examines the call to move from waiting to action, from dependence to doing for self, and from education without purpose to knowledge used constructively for ourselves and our people.
The class explores the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s warning about mental slavery, the proper use of education, the responsibility of the educated to help lift the poor man in the mud, the danger of seeking acceptance in another people’s society, and the urgent command to “get business minded” and “get a creative mind.”
At the heart of the lesson is one central question:
Will we continue to wait for someone else to do for us what we have the ability to begin doing for ourselves?
The help has arrived. The knowledge has arrived. The guidance has arrived. Now our effort must arrive.
