Dani is a proud mum to twin toddlers, a devoted partner to Ash and a busy allied health professional.
Dani was born with a difference – congenital symbrachydactyly or limb difference. She also lives with Addison’s Disease, a potentially life-threatening condition which played a critical part as she adapted to motherhood.
Dani doesn’t identify as having a disability.
We invited Dani to join us on our podcast to explore what it means to be a mum with a difference in our undoubtably ableist world.
Join Amanda and Dani as they discuss the expectations versus the realities, the challenges and triumphs and the highs and lows of parenting with a difference.
We hope you draw some inspiration from Dani’s story; the story about a wonderful mum who refuses to be defined by her appearance, and by society’s body normative views.
