Obama? Bruh really? From Hero to Disappointment A Personal Political Journey

Original GOAT Season 7 Episode 3

What if the notion that black men won’t support a black woman for president is a myth? Join me as I challenge this controversial belief, offering a fresh perspective on former President Obama's remarks. I passionately argue that black men are ready to back a capable black woman 100%, provided she's doing the right thing. Our discourse often gets overshadowed by Trump's antics, but it's time to refocus on real issues—crafting a robust plan for marginalized communities and retirees. My goal is to steer the conversation toward empowering political dialogue and meaningful actions that truly matter.

In a candid exploration of admiration turned sour, I share a personal journey of disillusionment with a once-revered black leader who now seems to have betrayed the hopes of his supporters. It’s a narrative familiar to many, capturing the collective disappointment of those who once believed in this figure's promise. This emotional recount sets the stage for a deeper conversation in future episodes, as we seek to rebuild trust and spotlight leaders poised to deliver inclusive solutions for all Americans. Join me for a thought-provoking session that not only challenges existing perceptions but also pushes for positive political engagement.

Speaker 1:

Good evening everyone. This is your pod host, og GOAT. I'm just going to do a slight introduction here and get this up and running, because I have to clear some stuff up and stop hesitating and vote for Kamala Harris Now. He made a statement that he feels it may be because black men do not or have some feeling about supporting a woman or a black woman as president and having a feeling maybe they're not capable. I think, personally, I think Obama's 100% wrong. In that case, I think black men will support black women 100%, providing they're doing the right thing. If it's a black woman, I think they will support her 100%. I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that she's a woman, because black men love their black women and for a black man to pull away or not support a black woman is just not. It's wrong. That's totally wrong. I'm going to tell you what your problem here is, and it's sad that Obama couldn't figure out a more intellectual way of, you know, introducing himself or this speech to black men without putting black men down. I'm going to tell you what's going on here.

Speaker 1:

You have Trump throwing anything out on the table and you guys are chasing it, no matter what he says. He can say anything. He can say dog food smells good, and then you will run after that. Oh, we condemn Donald Trump for saying dog food smells good, and then you will run after that. Oh, we condemn Donald Trump for saying dog food smell good, like people like dog food or whatever the case. People eat dog food here and whatever People eat animals and you chase it like a bone. He's got y'all wrapped around his finger because every time he says something, you chase him, so your mind is distorted because you're too busy following everything he says. That's the problem and that's why the race is tied.

Speaker 1:

In addition to that, donald Trump continuously makes points. He adds points to his rhetoric what he's going to do, positive things or whatever the case might be. He adds points, he makes attempt to add points to, you know, to credit his ability to be president again. And so, while everyone is chasing his little sick comments, his little stupid comments, he's got y'all wrapped around his finger because he's in control. Because you're busy chasing his comments, instead of putting forth and putting your foot down and talking about what is necessary, what is needed, what you're going to do as president, what's the next move, how you fail to produce a lecture that is strong and a powerful. You fail to produce a powerful and deliver a powerful message. That's the problem. That and only that is the problem, no matter what race, color or creed.

Speaker 1:

If that person came in and came on board to produce a powerful message that will be for the underprivileged, the seniors, the blacks, the low-income, the whites a powerful message with a direct plan on how to make it happen, this person would have no problem. But instead you guys are chasing everything he throws on the table. So meanwhile he throw you a little crumbs and he takes two steps up the ladder While you're still down there at the bottom running around chasing the crumbs. He just took two steps up the ladder on you. Then he toss you some more crumbs and you go over there chasing those crumbs and he takes another two steps up the ladder. This is your problem. This is your problem. Problem. This is your problem. Stop chasing every little stupid thing that this man down and maybe you will see a huge difference. But right now y'all chasing your tails Everything he throw out there. You're chasing everything he says and that keeps your mind preoccupied or nonsense instead of the positive.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to get back on this topic because this is a deep subject and, once again, I really am disappointed in Obama for pointing the finger at black men, because you can't speak for all black men, for all black men, and you can't bring that one comment or statement out to say that maybe black men have fear of a black woman or a woman as president, because you're 100%, totally wrong. That is not the case and I fail to believe that's the case. So let's see you regroup yourself, put some money on the table, give us some concrete lectures about what's about to go down and what you're going to do for the people, and I guarantee you'll see a change. And stop chasing every little stupid thing that this guy says. You guys are ridiculous. I'm embarrassed. That's what I am.

Speaker 1:

The one man, the one black man that historically made it through the black votes have now put the same people that voted him in, put them down and disrespected them. I'm hurt, I'm embarrassed. I really am. I'm embarrassed. I collected every magazine that had his face on it when he ran for president and now I feel like I collected every magazine for a black man that just put us down. I'm hurt. Well, we're going to revisit this. We will revisit this topic and once again remember this is your pod host, og goat, and we're signing off. Part two is coming soon.
