Does God Know I Love Him?

 Our obedience to the LORD should come out of our love for Him. Obedience to God is an expression of our love for Him. Jesus says: "IF ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) Notice "IF." God isn't interested in us obeying Him if we don't first love Him. The first 2 commandments are about LOVE and not works or working to earn God's favor, which is futility (Matthew 22:37-40). Jesus says the whole law and prophets, all the Scripture writings to that point, and in the kingdom rested upon loving God and others.
