Have you ever caught yourself racing through life's milestones, barely pausing to breathe between achievements? Let me transport you back to a simpler time in the kitchen with my grandmother, where licking the cake batter off the spoon wasn't just about savoring a forbidden treat but a ritual in appreciating the here and now. This chat is a heartfelt invitation to indulge in the metaphorical cake batter of life, cherishing the in-betweens just as much as the grand milestones. We're often so laser-focused on reaching the end goal that we miss out on the journey – the succulent layers that make up our experiences.

Step into my whimsical world of Mike Believe, where imagination isn't just for kids, and every moment is an opportunity to live passionately. No guests are needed in this episode, just you and me, and a conversation akin to a soulful feast meant to stir your spirit and maybe even shift your perspective. We're talking about embracing urgency and intention, dreaming limitlessly while living each day to the fullest. So, pull up a chair, grab a spoon, and get ready to relish in the present as we explore the confection that is life – no oven mitts required.

Speaker 1:

Hello, it's me, the M-E-I-D-K to the E, hailing from the D, the Y to the T that's the abbreviation for the city called Dayton and I'm sending you good sensations and vibrations. And remember, I'm just saying I want to talk to you from the subject today Now Serving Cake. Now Serving Cake, or a subtitle could be Lick the Spoon. I remember my grandmother would make cakes and we would be in the kitchen and one of the glorious joys of the cake making process would be to be able to lick the spoon. The spoon would contain the batter. I know there's some people out there like, hey, you know, there's eggs in there. You don't want to get salmonella and E coli and all that good stuff? Hey, but the eggs didn't kill Rocky. So just think about what I just said. You want to lick the spoon, or now serving cake.

Speaker 1:

A lot of times you're going through your processes, your up downs, your roundabouts, your in-betweens and all the things that are happening, and you're getting to the next step, but you're not paying attention to what's going on in between each step and you're adapting and adjusting and you're passing certain points and you're forgetting about what's happening. I have friends that like to play NBA 2K and they like to get on this color system and enjoy it. They play the rec and also they play with my player and they like to see the progress. And it's funny to see them play NBA 2K and they're like, oh, I reached this level, I reached that level. So, on their way up to the maximum levels, they're enjoying their self. Let me ask you the question in your life, you right now, are under the sound of my voice. That means you're alive and you can hear me, and you've made it this far.

Speaker 1:

There are things that should have killed you Literally. There are things that should have killed you figuratively, metaphorically, whatever you want to say, or should have killed you psychologically. You should have broken down and some of you did, but, no matter what, you're still pressing forward. Now. You're on your way to the next promotion, the next advancement.

Speaker 1:

I want you to just take a second and to lick the spoon, breathe it in, enjoy the fact that this cake that you're baking, this proverbial cake, this I don't know if it's athletic, whether it's occupational, whether it's a book, a song it's coming together now. So I want you to lick the spoon and enjoy the fact that you're getting there, but don't just rest there licking the spoon, wait on the oven to heat and get ready to eat that cake. Well, you have once again come into the land of Mike believe, a place that makes never, never land wish that it never was existed. Emerald City look like a pile of green rocks in Wonderland, wonder why it was ever constructed in the first place. And I encourage you to dial your inner child, let your imagination run wild, and I also encourage you to dream like you'll live forever, but please, pretty, please, live like you'll die today. I quit you.
