50. Bald(oni) Faced Li(v)e(ly).

Good morning Upper East Siders. Friends, Lovers, Listeners, it’s lawsuit girl here. Spotted: B and J in a legal drama. Now, I’ve been saying for weeks I’m going to do an episode on today’s topic and you’re probably all f*cking over it by now. And if that’s the case…fair. It’s no surprise to anyone who follows me on social media that I have been following the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni lawsuits like I’m working on their legal teams. Like I sacked in my PhD and did a law degree in 2 weeks and am now a high court American judge. Now, I want to say - this is not a pop culture podcast, nor do I want it to become one - but there are sometimes stories that I feel…play into things I already talk about. And, I’ve talked a lot already on this season - to the point that I think it’s probably sometimes BORING for everyone…about misogyny, and sexual violence towards women - and…this case actually has a place in all of those conversations, in one way or another. Now, I have my personal thoughts on the case, of course, which I’m not afraid to share, and will - but I will try to deliver the more factual information as neutrally as I can.  So…you may feel completely differently about this case than I do, and that’s completely fine. Regardless of my thoughts, the majority part of me just feels like we all need to WAIT and see what evidence is presented in court next March, but we are waiting a whole year, so…people are going to continue to talk. The court of public opinion is going to continue doing it’s thing, and we will all inevitably have opinions. If we care. Anyway, let’s get into it.
