scripture verse 12 says arise oh Lord oh God lift up thine hand and forget not

the humble and here we see a cry unto God to our king of kings and our Lord of

lords to lift up his hand and don't forget the humble in Strong's Dictionary

arise means to stand up or to take action this is a plea for God to

intervene actively in the Affairs of the oppressed

so here in this Psalms we see a cry unto God a plead and we talked about this in

their lives whether it's Financial whether it's

spiritual mental emotional physical we should be able to

run into the church for answers because God is in us and if that's the reason

why the Bible says for us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together everything that we need we should be

church edifice because we do know that the church is not a building it is a

living breathing organism the church is a band of baptized Believers in God the

church is the people we are the church and everybody who says they are the

contempt is to scorn despise or treat with contempt the wicked disregard God

thinking he will not hold them accountable people think they really are

getting away with things but God is just and as we said in the last verse

he's going to he's going to judge us there's going to be Justice and there or there will be

Deliverance one of the other so if we're doing the right thing God will deliver

realize sometimes that they're being used by the enemy but they are and so some things are just going to happen as

I always like to say it's part for the course it's going to happen it's life it's a part of life

however there are some things that we cause to come upon ourselves elves because of our choices the wickeds the

things that they do are their choices it's the choices that they make and they make them thinking hey I can do this

what's gonna happen to me ain't nothing gonna happen to me I'm gonna get away from with this we've heard of Serial

murderers serial um drunk drivers um serial serial mean that they

do it repeatedly over and over and over and over and over again think that

they're never going to pay for what they did and some people do get away with it

physically but spiritually we never get away with anything because God is either

going to judge us because he's a just God or guess what if it's something that

we're seeking to be delivered from like I was seeking to be delivered from my issue the stronghold the lust of the

Flesh and the pride of life I had to be delivered from that and so he delivered

me he gave me deliverance and so this is what the text is talking about God Deliver

Us deliver the humble the those who are less fortunate I like to call them

disproportionately Indigent poor because of what life has happened some people

start out making six figures and I'm a witness to that because I was making six figures and then life happened I got

divorced I was in a near fatal accident couldn't work for two and a half years the first

month or so I had to have 24-hour care in my home I couldn't be left alone I couldn't drive at all for two years can

you imagine at the rug being pulled from under you and you're not having the capability of doing things Hurricane

Katrina happened and so many people lost their homes the ones that didn't lose their lives they lost their homes and

they became migrants and they were forced to move from New Orleans to other areas because they had no choice I

talked to my mom when the storms were going on in Florida a lot of people came to Georgia that were close to in

proximity because the storms had tore up their homes and destroyed their area life

happens and so in this prayer because life has happened or whatever happened to get these people these humble people

these poor people these injured people into the position that they're in there is a cry for God to deliver them to come

to their aid and then the next verse pivots and it begins to talk about the

wicked and asking God the look at their contempt the wicked has contempt why do

the wicked get away with it they don't get away with it they think they get

away with it but none of us get away with anything none of us do so when we

look back at the scripture um where it says be not SE deceived God

with um bullying and the racism and all those things that we dealt with as kids

because my mom was a single parent and had to work it was hard for

us and at some point we did have stepfathers and they were amazing and

Lee stayed with us till he died and dad Thomas is still with us right now and I

don't believe nothing but death will separate us and my father is now actively in my life but there was a

point in my life where he was not but in that point God is our father

you said he'll be a mother to the motherless and a father to the fatherless so those we are never without

a father we are never without a mother mother I purchased a book that I was

they're doing it impacts many people from the presidential level it it

in fact impacts that whole city or Township or whatever you live

in and so it's speaking to not necessarily harm to literally break an
