Pierre Rochard has been engaged in extensive Bitcoin research and writing since the early days of 2013. He is a co-founder of the Satoshi Nakamoto Institute, which has been operational since 2014, focusing on primary source literature about Bitcoin. Apart from his contributions to Bitcoin's software development, Pierre is a vocal proponent of decentralized Bitcoin governance. He's part of two popular podcast shows - the Noded Bitcoin Podcast and the Bitcoin for Advisors Podcast. Before joining Riot as the VP of Research, he spent three years at Kraken as their Bitcoin and Lightning product manager.
