Welcome to raising extreme athletes uncensored. This is your reality check and home for uncensored, trusted advice and stories from the Trail Blazers who came before us because it takes a strategic village to raise extreme pro athletes. This is your village today. We're going to be talking about the glitz and the glamor, or maybe not so much. So stick around to find out exactly what I'm talking about. Is it really? Foglets and glamor. Well, that's a great topic, so let's really dive in. I'm Marina, your host, mother of two aspiring rock climbers and wife to an extreme athlete.
All right, let's get a few things out in the open right off the bat. Is this going to be glitz and glamor? Is this going to be champagne popping podiums? Huge screams of elation when winning? Hell no. And get ready for it because it is not gonna be that. Ok? Be prepared because it is definitely the furthest thing from the glitz and the glamor. Is it going to be fun? Hell yeah. Is it going to be worth it? More than you will know.
Just what you're going to be going through your child, all the learning, all the life. There's all the training. I mean, it is just to me, it's mooresburg of important stuff that really is important for your mental health, for physical health, for everything. And more than anything else, you could ever imagine this journey that you're going to be going on, all that, you will be going through the changes, even if the child does become that elite superstar and whatnot, or if they don't continue whatsoever. The learning part, the doing part of the community, I mean, it is so worth it. Everything you're going to be doing is 100 % worth it.
The connection and your own bond with your kid, I mean, that to me is priceless and it is literally the most important part. So is it going to be all glitz and glamor? No but it's OK. Why do we need it to be glistening? Glamour you know what? Glitz and glamor is not all that it's cracked up to be. So let's enjoy all the other stuff that goes before with and around it.
