Project Tsundoku

We have heard countless tales, painting the picture of how our world, and humanity, came to be. Some believe in the Big Bang, various types of evolution, with the most common one being - Chuck Norris feeling lonely, so he created everything in the universe just to have people to play with. As humanity began to develop, most civilizations had some beliefs centered around some type of God or Gods. No matter what your beliefs might be, it is fair to say that you have heard the names of some of these deities: Zeus, Thor, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Hermes, and Oden - just to name a few. Dating back to some of our first big battles in history; war cries from fearless heroes probably cried out to the Valkyries for a proper death so they could make it into the golden gates of Valhalla. Most of humanity idolized these various gods, but what would happen if the gods themselves turned their backs on humanity? Do we possess the strengths to challenge the chosen few? Or are we humans, the actual chosen few?
