the parties and the presents and the planning and seeing those things, trying to make them perfect, there's this pressure that can cause us to miss the point of what this is all about. 00:05:55.600 --> 00:06:09.600 As we take a look at the Christmas story, that you've probably heard a number of times, or maybe you're hearing it for the very first time today, what we're gonna see from this story is that literally the world is turning on its head. 00:06:12.000 --> 00:06:55.920 And it starts by the fact that the angels come and proclaim this newborn king to a group of lowly, outcast shepherds that are just out in a field doing their shepherd stuff, and then the heavens are opened, and the glory of God shone around them and proclaimed the good news of the great joy that is of Jesus, and the fact that the angels came to the shepherds in the middle of the field doing their shepherd stuff, and not to the elites and the religious, was a big get lost to all the elites and the religious. gonna come one day to restore Israel, and he was going to ride into Jerusalem and was gonna be a military leader, and they had all these plans of how the Messiah was gonna come, and instead the angels like me, but I would imagine that some of you have already felt the chaos and the fact that Christmas is 10 days away, and you can't even believe that it's 10 days away because there's 10 days away because there's so many things that you still have to do, and so many things that you've done, and we have all this pressure to have the perfect Christmas without Christ. 00:10:36.879 --> 00:10:41.759 years ago. 00:11:18.559 --> 00:11:29.200 See, that's the reality of the situation because the world wants us to have a Christmas that's that's all about tradition and sweetness, but God says it's
