Gold Foundation, the Freedom of Expression Courage Award from PEN America, the inaugural Bernard Lown Award for Social Responsibility, the 22nd Heinz Award in Public Policy, the Fries Prize for Improving Public Health, and recognition as one of Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World.
