If you are in Europe, you need to make time to visit Bruges, Belgium. Even if you only have one day, you will experience an idyllic city in Europe mostly untouched by the war.
Bruges is located in Northwestern Belgium know for its picturesque streets and historic medieval architecture.It is a quiet city surrounded by canals like Amsterdam but less touristy, It is also a UNESCO Heritage location.
HOW TO GET THERE: Train from Brussels or Amsterdam or Paris.
WHERE TO STAY: Hotel Ter Brughe
WHAT TO DO: Boat trip on the canals, Belfort Tower, Salvador Dali Art Exhibit, Market Square, take a walk or rent a bike to go along the Great Canal to Bruges Damme and even see a Windmill.
