Sandgroper Sports
Watty, Scotty & Anth are Three sports mad Western Australians who are keen to profile West Aussie sportspeople, their lives and experiences in sport and outside of sport. We love hearing great human stories and we know that many others in our community do too. Sandgroper sports proudly focusses on Western Australians and takes the form of a casual discussion, where we discuss with our guests their lives in WA, what it's like being a WA athlete, what life is like outside of sport and what they think makes our state unique. Our podcasts are real life, authentic, conversations with our guests discussing how they got to where they are today, the ups and downs of their careers and what it means to be from WA.

Premiership West Coast Eagle - Chris Masten
Masto is a fucking legend of WA footy and in his mind he was destined to fulfil his dream of playing footy on the biggest stage for the club he loved.
Sandgroper through and through, he repped WA State 16’s and 18s and was a national carnival championship player.
He was a WA State Athletics Rep, even holding a junior national record in what is recognised as one of the most grueling track events, the 800m.
3rd overall pick in the 2007 AFL draft to West Coast from East Freo, he goes on to become a 2018 Premiership Player and Life Member racking up 215 AFL games before retiring from AFL in 2019.
During his time at the Eagles - he only lost one pre-season 2km time trial, clocked about about 500,000 kms in the air, was asked to run away from the footy to help the team and along the way made some life-long bonds with some football legends.
He's a two-time apprentice of the year, a bloke who loves life and enjoys a drink with mates so we were stoked he brought in a bottle of his Gin and sat down with us to talk shit for a bit.
