We love hearing great human stories and we know that many others in our community do too. Sandgroper sports proudly focusses on Western Australians and takes the form of a casual discussion, where we discuss with our guests their lives in WA, what it's like being a WA athlete, what life is like outside of sport and what they think makes our state unique. This week's guest is a proud Sandgroper who is a big name in Basketball circles worldwide.
He has prospered at all levels of Hoop - Elite National Junior, USA College Player and Coach, International Player, Coach and Scout, NBA Scout, Boomers Scout and Now NBL Executive.
Born and bred in WA and now a rare triple citizen (Irish-Australian-American) we talk about his epic basketball journey.
During his time in the US he hooped, coached, met his wife and had kids, explored corporate America and then famously landed a gig scouting for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Now he steers the ship of our beloved Perth Wildcats, so we catch up on all the events of the last few years and chat about the very recent ownership change with Mark Arena coming on board - really interesting to get that insight.
