A talented sportsman who loved football, but ended up choosing cricket, Wayne
has one of the best bowling averages of any WA player at Test level.
Wayne shares his story – including the big ups and low downs of international
cricket, and why he didn’t choose the big money on offer from World Series Cricket, despite being paid a pittance at the time.
He also describes how despite his regular stellar performances, he was hung out to dry by the Australian selectors.

in the 1960s and his pathway to elite sport.
Wayne also talks about his approach to coaching and the tough decisions he had
