Perth Glory & Australian Great - Jacob Burns
This week's guest is a “naturalised” Sandgroper who worked his way up through the ranks to be a National Soccer League first teamer at age 16.
You’ll hear about how in a sliding doors moment he went from signing a lucrative contract with Premier League Powerhouse Leeds United at their zenith, joining Viduka and Kewell but in the process missing out on the 2000 Summer Olympics in his hometown of Sydney.
After plying his trade through some of Europe's best leagues he signed with the Perth Glory and took the club through one of its most successful periods including the now infamous 2012 A-League Grand Final.
We talk through his vaunted Champions League Cup-Runs, playing with and against some of the biggest names in Football and how Perth has become his forever home.
By all accounts a player you’d rather play with than against, we talk about his A-League records, one of which even he wasn’t aware of!
