Jay and Amy Fisher discuss the creation of the Clovis Sounds Studio in the Norman and Vi Petty Rock 'N' Roll Museum, in the basement of the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce. This the first of a two-part series discussing the history, idea, directions, origin, and future of the fully analog high fidelity recording studio being created in this eastern New Mexico community. The recording studio will feature rare and valuable vintage equipment: microphones, amplifiers, mixers, equalizers, panners, reel to reel magnetic tape recorders, vinyl album cutters and lathes, and speaker and broadcast equipment. It will also consist of a complete modern digital recording studio. The studio will be publicly owned and operated by the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce. Jay and Amy Fisher are volunteering, repairing, installing, and operating the equipment. This podcast originates at the Clovis Sounds Studio.
