Choosing a college can be challenging for some students. Often, when making a decision, they have to consider several parameters: the tuition fees to be paid, the quality of education they can get, the language spoken there, and the programs the university offers.

However, not all universities are accessible to everyone. For example, someone might want to enroll in a specific university because of the high quality of education, but they might need financial assistance to be able to afford it. Or, they might be excited by the programs offered by the university, but the lectures are only offered in a language that the candidate does not speak.

Over the past few years, the Netherlands has gained popularity as a place of education for international students. Increasingly, Dutch universities are the choice of students across Europe due to quality of education offered, affordability, and the growing number of programs offered in English.

In this episode of Let's Talk Higher Ed, our host Tim Munnerlyn welcomes Anne Kuijs, a senior recruitment and communications officer at Leiden University College in The Hague. Anne and Tim get into all the good sides of Dutch universities, and discuss the growing interest of international students in Dutch universities, different types of universities in the country, and the application process for Leiden University.
