Kick-off those worn-out shoes, let your hair down and pour yourself some lite roast, because the Bo-Hosts welcome you to: Sammy Sunday Mornings!
The "BONUS OTIS" mini-episodes are bite-size and focus on the mellower side of the RedRocker's catalog!
This time, we feature "Never Said Goodbye", the final track on Sammy’s 2016 album, This Is Sammy Hagar: When The Party Started, Vol. 1. A compilation of mostly previously released songs (some were re-envisioned) and two new tracks. Sammy referred to the collection as "the best songs I wrote post-Van Halen that mostly didn’t get a lot of mainstream attention." As one of the two new entries, "Never Said Goodbye" finds the RedRocker waxing nostalgic about loved ones he never got to bid farewell to.
Inspired by a conversation with John Mellencamp about writing an "old-time standard," Sammy sent the finished track to Mellencamp, who praised it as "a classic."
