Speaker 1:

Hey, did you hear? We did a thing. We're now on Patreon. Come and check us out. Just thinking about it, there we go. Hello, welcome to Ram and Goat Astrology. I'm Laura Lee.

Speaker 2:

And I am Helena.

Speaker 1:

Hello, so we were just chatting about the solar arc chart, which we've never heard of before chart which we've never heard of before.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like I spend a lot of time on astrocom I feel like that's where I've started my training in astrology and there are so many options for different ways to see your chart. Um, like a lot. There's a lot of combinations to use to see a chart in many, many, many different ways, and I've seen this thing called solar arc direction and I've never really gone into it, but now I did and I was like I wonder if loli knows what this is. And basically what we know so far is that it's, um, all the planets in your chart moves one degree per year, so they move at the same speed. So, like you said, laura, it's almost like the planet sits at the same spots. You just turn the chart, turn the dial.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so all the planets still have the same trines and and oppositions and squares. It's just like the chart of the constellations and the houses is like a dial that just shifts a little bit each year. It's really interesting to see your chart like everything in the same spot, but not the same signs or the same you know right.

Speaker 2:

So I'm wondering if, like because we talk a lot about solar returns and solar returns is, you know, every year on your birthday you get a brand new chart and and the planets are in totally new places every year, except for your sun, because it's always on your birthday and that really affects the year for you. It's like a flavor, like your lesson for the year. Then there's something called your progressed moon that you also look into a lot and that's just the moon moving one step per month in the chart and that is also like, and it stays in each sign for two and a half years. So that's also like the flavor for your life at the moment. And now it's like solar arc direction. Yeah, so I looked it up. You want me to read it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, okay. So this is, uh, what is solar arc? By pat white. So the solar arc direction is one of the oldest predictive techniques in astrology. It's defined as the difference between the position of the progressed sun and the natal sun on any particular day. This arc is then added to every planet and point in the chart. The arc is approximately equivalent to the individual's age. However, note that a person born in the summer will have a solar arc that is somewhat less than their age and, conversely, a winter-born individual's solar arc will be greater than their age. When a solar arc-directed planet makes an aspect, especially a hard aspect, to a natal planet, some event or transition is likely to occur. Some event or transition is likely to occur. Okay, so they're taking the solar arc chart and laying it on top of the natal chart, and when the planets from the natal and the solar arc chart have a conversation, there's something to take note of in there. Does that make sense?

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes, yes, yes. I'm just thinking about like, how, um, how in, like, how, how is this tangible for me? Because I feel like, with solar returns, I feel the energy, like this is on my birthday, um, the energy that is in the sky at the moment is what is sort of absorbed in me. But with this I'm like, but how, how?

Speaker 1:

like what do I do?

Speaker 2:

with this. You know, like how, how is it really like? I see it on a chart. It's these thing points are moving, but you know it, just it seems very, uh, surreal and like very abstract.

Speaker 1:

Yes, this feels abstract to me. It says using solar arcs like secondary progressions. There are two ways of using solar arcs like secondary progressions. There are two ways of using solar arcs. Some astrologers treat them like progressions noting when solar arc planets enter new houses or signs and when they make aspects to natal planets. So when you use aspects from solar arc directed planets in this way, one peculiar thing happens Around the age of 30, way, one peculiar thing happens around the age of 30.

Speaker 1:

Each of the solar arc planets and other points makes an exact 30 degree aspect to its own position at birth. Similarly, around age 45, all the solar arc planets are in a 45 degree aspect to their own natal position, and around age 60 they're at a 60 degree aspect, et cetera. So that's interesting. It kind of explains some of the big life transitions people go through at those ages as well Interesting. So what does this mean? To have a day when your solar arc planets and other points are making the same aspect to their natal position? It would certainly cancel out the effect of the individual aspects. Instead, it's as if, for a brief time, your natal chart is operating at double strength. The quality of what you're feeling on these occasions may have to do with whether the aspect is an easy one or a stressful one, and with the major transiting events that are happening just before or after. All right, Wait what.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I know I'm like wait, my brain's like I got to hang out, I got to wrap my head around what I just read. So when you have one of these particular moments in time where the solar arc chart is having these conversations with your natal position, it feels like it's going to cancel out the effect of the individual aspects. So for this brief time, your natal chart feels like it's operating at double strength.

Speaker 2:

Interesting. It's funny. I've never heard another astrologer ever talk about this, and yet it says it's one of the oldest techniques, but it's not saying that it's one of the most used ones, just that it's one of the oldest. I mean that I am, I, um, yeah, I am. I'm not like fully on board with this yet. I'm understanding this.

Speaker 1:

This article gets deeper and deeper and deeper, and you can it talks about using them in relationships and using solar arcs in forecasting. So it goes on and on and on. I feel like, and using solar arcs in a classical way, I feel like my brain first of all needs more sleep and, second of all, I need to like study this.

Speaker 1:

This is one of those things where it feels real, abstract, and it's going to take a while for my brain to grasp it and be able to explain and regurgitate it yeah, yeah, definitely, because there's a reason.

Speaker 2:

I really love astrocom. I feel like the astrologers who are, uh, running this thing and who are working with it are very talented and know what they're talking about. So I'm like, okay, this solar arc, um choice, is here, so there must be a reason for that. But I also think that there are so many ways to use astrology that you know like, maybe we're not meant to use all of them, you know right.

Speaker 1:

It is interesting to look at my solar arc chart, though, so I'm staring at mine right now and I'm I'm noting some of the things right of what's going on. So apparently I'm recently a leo rising, zero degree leo rising and you know I'm looking at my chiron just would have been, um, I guess cancer would, because it's the constellations that shift this time versus the planets.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it's tripping my brain up a little bit. So now Chiron for me is, at one degree, cancer in the solar arc chart. So I'm trying to like feel what that would look like and if I've noticed changes around these particular things. And I definitely have, definitely have, but I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I I'd have to, I'd have to really dig into this more, this is yeah, yeah, I have, uh, let me see my, my, my solar arc direction.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, venus is right now, uh, exactly on top of my mercury, my natal mercury in cancer okay um, yeah, so I'm not so sure because this will sit here for a year, because these, the solar arc direction planets, they move one, one step per year. So I guess for this whole year my values and the way I communicate and process information will be influenced by each other, or my way of thinking will be way more value-based, I suppose. Yeah, absolutely, but I'm just yeah.

Speaker 1:

That makes sense, or the, the way you speak, um could just, in general, be kinder or softer. Or when you, when you merge mercury and venus together, I start to think about those energies of like being more vigilant or aware of the words that you use, and maybe speaking kinder to yourself, or I feel like there's like a softening or a kindness, instead of maybe removing judgment or projecting shoulds onto yourself. Maybe you know being more compassionate in your thoughts. I don't know, does that sound about right?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah it's. It's interesting Cause I'm just, I'm just in my brain now trying to calibrate how heavy, like, how much importance this has, because I feel like I sort of know how much my solar return chart affects me, I know how much the progressed moon affects me, but with this I'm not sure, like, how strong the influence is.

Speaker 1:

You know, well, I'm curious because it talks about a lot of prediction stuff, right. So this is like apparently used in predictive astrology quite a bit. So when I'm looking at it I'm looking right now my solar arc, venus, is at three degrees Aries and right behind that is my MC at two degrees. Well, my sun sign, natal sun, is at eight degrees Aries. So in a few years, venus solar arc will be on top of my natal sun. To me that feels like my identity and my money and relationships and all of that will will be more in alignment or more, I don't know, like focused. Like for you, you've got mercury and venus, right that. So these I the thoughts and the values aligning where this would be identity and values aligning. And then, of course, career is right behind there with the MC. So I could see that happening for sure. And I'm about to go into a in about six months I'm about to move into a Capricorn progressed moon for two years, which would then be the entrance into this Venus sun alignment.

Speaker 1:

So it feels aligned as far as, like Capricorn is the workhouse and it's you know really moving forward and being structurally diligent and I can see where in a couple of years, when these Venus sun line up, it's where that would be a predictive thing for money and wealth and like the things we've been working on right, the working towards so maybe the sun will shine a light on my money and good fortune yeah, yeah, I am.

Speaker 2:

I'm intrigued to like read more about this, because I feel quite skeptical. I don't know why, I just feel, but of course I know why, because I don't understand it yet. So, with everything I don't understand, I'm like, oh, I'm a little bit skeptical, if that makes sense. Yeah, but also we don't talk so much about the progressed moon. But you just mentioned that your progressed moon is moving into capricorn soon and and that's like a two and a half year, uh, situation, that the progressed moon moves around the whole zodiac, yep, and, and that I feel like you really notice a shift in the energy of your life. Oh, yeah, you know 100%. So, yeah, you're going from Sagittarius like that adventure, the fire energy and then you're going into this to the Capricorn, slowing down.

Speaker 2:

And you can see this when people are going into, for example, the progressed moon moving into Cancer, into, for example, the progressed moon moving into cancer, like that's really like focusing on the home and family and maybe having kids or grandkids, uh, it's, it's really interesting because that's something I feel like it's very tangible. You can really feel it and see it in your chart and in your life. Yes, and it's a longer time period as well. So you really, you really have changes and shifts in that area of your life. So, yeah, for those of you who didn't know what a progressed moon is, that's sort of what it does. It just changes your focus, like. This is where the focus will be for the next two and a half years, especially emotional, emotional focus.

Speaker 1:

I know when I was in my scorpio progressed moon uh it. So I've got a sweater on today and, like when I was in my scorpio progressed moon, I just wanted to like bury myself inside of a sweater and like not come out. I felt very like in a in a hermit hole or my Scorpio hole, right. It was really a tough energy for me. In general I don't typically enjoy that kind of energy. It was really really tough and we lost a lot of loved ones at that time, a lot of animals. I also got pregnant with my daughter and had a baby, so it's not all bad, but it was intense and I felt it about three months before I shifted into Sagittarius. I could feel like if I was on a roller coaster and the roller coaster had been down under the ocean for two and a half years. I could feel the ascent coming out of the ocean and then like just like launching into the sky with fireworks when I hit Sagittarius progressed moon and I was like, yes, I'm out of it, I made it finally.

Speaker 1:

Oh, it was rough. It was rough, but my husband's about to enter his Scorpio progressed moon, like next month, and I'm a little bit nervous, all right, moon like next month, and I'm a little bit nervous, all right, because it's pluto is at 29 degrees libra and then scorpio and then saturn's at two degrees scorpio, so he's gonna have these kind of bam, bam, bam and I feel like I can feel it, yeah, but I don't know how it's going to manifest. But I can feel it coming. Yeah, we'll see what shows up here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I can like with this Scorpio energy, because I only have Pluto in Scorpio and that's a generational thing, because Pluto moves super slowly and I don't have, you know, that's all I have in Scorpio, so I don't feel super Scorpionic. But this year, for my solar return chart, which is a new chart that you get every birthday, which flavors the year ahead, I am a zero degree Scorpio rising and before I was like, oh, I wonder how it's gonna look. Maybe I'm gonna be like super intense and like super, like like that. But no, I am in my hidey hole, like, like, just like you said, like I just want to hide.

Speaker 2:

And I think we talked about the other day, or you, we were talking about something, and then, um, I was trying to explain to you how I've been feeling lately, that I've been like really dodging people and like even like dodging texts, like not really wanting to be there, and that I even I don't really feel like I exist in the physical world, like I just feel, and I guess that's why Scorpio rising, yeah, yeah, and the zero degree thing I feel like I feel like a zero degree scorpio is is a very um, intense point, but not like intense, such as like owning that energy more like very raw yeah could be confusing because I haven't, you know, learned it so much yet but also very raw and vulnerable sort of position for the scorpio energy. And that's exactly how I feel like. I just feel so like a little overwhelmed.

Speaker 1:

You know, when you first jump into a pool or a body of water that's really cold, that that initial plunge, I feel like that's what a zero degree scorpio rising would feel like. Is this initial like right, like going from libra, which is like pleasant and easy going and happiness and what? Into the? Into the next sign of scorpio? It feels like someone kicks you off the dock and you jump into the cold pond and sink to the bottom and you got to live down there for a while yeah, yeah, and I feel like if I didn't know that about my solar return chart, I would be very confused and probably honestly a little worried about myself.

Speaker 2:

Yes, uh. But now I'm just sort of like, okay, it's the scorpio energy and I just I just have to roll with it, and it's like I just know that this is my, this is what I need to do now for this year, and it's fine. You know, it's the assignment. I keep telling myself this is the assignment.

Speaker 1:

I'm supposed to be learning something. Am I passing the test? This is the assignment. This is I'm getting graded at this right now.

Speaker 1:

I'm telling you, helena, having knowledge of solar return charts and progressed moons, progressions in general, has been a life changer as a parent, Knowing that my kids, my two oldest, their progressed moons and their solar returns, both of them this year, they're both pisces rising. Fantastic, okay, great information, when they are constantly checking out of reality and drawing in their bedroom till 2 am and I have to wake up and be like what are you doing?

Speaker 1:

oh sorry, I'm drawing. It's 2 am. What are you like I get this is a pisces thing to do, like I get it, and go to bed right like I. So my brain is like this is such a pisces rising thing to do to stay awake and draw for hours and just check out in a dreamland. Both of my oldest kids are in this Now. My firstborn has Saturn as the first planet in Pisces. My secondborn has Neptune as the first planet. Very different in the way they show up. Oldest, he's showing up in a more mature energy of like OK, folks, we're in the fog, but stick next to me, I'll get us through this Right. And Saturn is like the leader of his chart and he's got. He's got all the planets lined up and organized and they all have a rope and they're not going to get lost in the fog. Gertie's leader of her planet or her chart is Neptune. Neptune's not a great leader in the fog.

Speaker 1:

He just kind of melts into the fog and all the rest of her planets are like where are we supposed to be going this year? And Neptune's like just do your own thing, it's okay. And it's so fucking frustrating. And at the same time my mom brain keeps going this is their assignment. They have to learn how to work through the fog and and pull the artistry out of them and like this is their assignment.

Speaker 1:

Your job is to make sure they don't fall off a cliff while they're wandering through the fog, like yes, my job is just like kind of keep them on the path, sort of ish right, and guide them but and help them understand why they feel a little spacey, why they're're extra tired this year. But both of them are also going through puberty, they're 15 and 12. So thank goodness they're both Pisces rising, because otherwise that would hurt physically. If they were like a Capricorn rising, that would hurt, they would have growing pains, really bad. But because it's Pisces, they're able to like fluidly stretch and grow and go into their next body without the pain, which I'm like hey, that's actually kind of cool, I like that. So it's helpful to understand, maybe, why they might need this Pisces rising solar return and it's helpful to understand that they're not going to be like this forever, it's just this year, it's okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but man, not going to be like this forever, it's just this year, it's okay yeah but man, a year feels like a long time when you're 10 months in and you're I mean, I think I guess it's sort of perfect to learn so much about a totally new energy because, like you said, like this is the, this was their turn to learn this energy now. And, like for me with the scorpio, well, now it's like it's, it's the absolutely right timing for me, obviously, to learn that scorpio energy, and also because it's a year, it it does take some time getting used to. Now I'm for three or four months into my solar return chart and the first six months are the more uncomfortable ones. It's like getting a new pair of jeans without stretch.

Speaker 2:

And you're like they're not really quite fitting and then, after like seven months of wearing them every day, you're like they fit like a glove and you start liking how you look in them, how you feel in them. Yeah, so you start getting more comfortable in this new skin that you're in. But the first six months are the the trying out sort of period time, and I don't think that it becomes super easy after six months. I just think that you become more immersed. You learn how to express that energy more comfortably.

Speaker 1:

So I just hit my six month birthday on September 29th and I felt like it was a big day emotionally for me because I realized, like, what the assignments were trying to teach me, like I realized what, why things were so intense in these specific areas, to shake me up so that I could really do next year's assignment. And I do think it's important to look ahead at next year's assignment and just get a little flavor, because for me next year it's really about taking care of myself, like deeply doing self-care that I've been putting off or giving to my children or my career, because that's what needs my attention right now. So this year's assignment is lots of energy and career 10th house and lots of intensity at home, with my moon and Scorpio in the fourth house. And I was like, oh, this is I can feel it 10th and fourth, and 10th and fourth and 10th and 4th and 10th and 4th, right back and forth. And then I looked at next year's chart and I hit that six month mark and I felt like I climbed to the top of the mountain and I was at the top and I could see down the mountain to next year's and I was like, oh, oh, oh, I get it Like I don't, but I do. I understand the message of if I keep giving all of my energy to my career and my family, next year's chart is going to manifest with an illness. I can see that sixth house, all of the shit in sixth house. If I don't give myself the care I need, if I don't start learning how to create some balance and some harmony there, that chart's going to manifest in a not so good way. If I do see the assignment and I do recognize where a better balance is and where I have to really pull back or cut back or slow down, then that chart will look amazing and I will be able to manage and do self-care and be healthy and all be of service to others in a really wonderful way.

Speaker 1:

But I had to release a lot and I had to cry and I had to purge because I was getting it like I had to purge because I was getting it Like I was getting the assignment. It's just like a kid who has, you know, studying for a test and is frustrated or something Right. And then they get the results and they're like, oh, it's great, or I did okay and like it's this relief right, this understanding. And this past weekend was a major understanding for me of, like, what I am supposed to be learning and why, and like what the reasons are. So, around the six month mark, for me it hit with.

Speaker 1:

This is the reason you're learning this stuff, this is the reason for that intensity and that intensity because next year we're going this route and I'm like, oh, so for me, I know, I like, I, I love solar return charts, so I'm curious to learn more about the solar arc stuff because I I'd never heard of it and I'm curious how that plays in to this kind of assignment thing we're supposed to be learning yeah, because that's also like it's not as a a dramatic shift every year, because it just moves one step per year, one step in the zodiac.

Speaker 2:

So it could it could mean that you it's still in the same house, still in the same zodiac sign as the last couple of years, but it also lends some something new. Yes, I suppose. But yeah, yeah, solar return charts. I think, and I think a lot of people are very intrigued by them. We have remember our second episode. We did a solar return chart for me. Yes, yeah, and that is still like one of the most listened to episodes. And I think that, like, after you get to know your natal chart, you get like a little hungry for more and you're like I want to know some more. And then the solar return chart is like a natural hungry for more and you're like I want some more, and then the solar return chart is like a natural next step.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I feel like yes, yep, and then after that I would say progressions and getting into the progressions, and and now the solar arc, which is connected to progressions, because the solar arc chart, the sun in that chart, is the same as your progressed sun. So that is it's. There's the connection there that I need to study more and see, like, how this is all, how this all works. But I'm curious to learn more. For sure, there's always more to learn in astrology, always so much.

Speaker 2:

And it's interesting because I've, um, uh, I haven't looked so much at my solo return chart this year just lately, because lately is when I've been noticing differences and noticing that, oh it's, things are uncomfortable. And I looked at it and you said you're four, four months in. Uh, now it's october three just entering three, yeah, three, three months in, so very new. So I guess it's when you're like noticing, like, hang on, something is quite different. You know, yes, and especially if, if, because some some years your chart, your solar return chart, can be almost a little bit. You know energies that you are used to. In some years it can be very much energies that are you are not used to, and this is like a brand new. Like maybe, maybe for a year, you will have lots of planet in a house where you naturally you don't have any planets right. So now it's a huge activation in that part of your chart and you're not used to having that house activated Right.

Speaker 1:

Right. So, yeah, and some years it's similar. So Philip is natally a Taurus rising, and this year he's Taurus rising as well for his solar return.

Speaker 1:

There's different planets in the first house and different things, but the rising sign is the same. So that feels to the, to the chart bearer, that feels more in alignment even if the planets are in different places. The rising sign typically will indicate whether you feel really off that year or really kind of in alignment. And you know, at my daughter, she's natalie, a taurus uh rising and pisces rising and taurus rising, are they're not the same. Taurus knows what's happening, it's very steadfast, it's very controlled and pisces is not that any of that.

Speaker 2:

so it would make sense that this year would be a bigger struggle for her as she tries to navigate through the fog sense that this year would be a bigger struggle for her as she tries to navigate through the fog and not know what's coming and do you talk to them about this, because I know you talk a lot of astrology with your kids Do you also talk about their solar returns?

Speaker 1:

Oh frequently.

Speaker 1:

In fact it's the top thing that comes up to the surface when I'm feeling frustrated with their behavior and I'll have to remind them hey, remember when we did your solar return chart? You should go back and listen again, because I'm pretty sure we talked about you not excessively checking out, even though I know that's what you wanna do but you have to pull yourself back in and work on being focused. So I utilize that in our parenting conversations when I'm feeling frustrated of like, hey, you've been out on this hammock now for about two and a half hours in your imagination land, just talking to yourself and swinging, and while it's adorable and I love it and I'm so glad you have the ability to do that, you need to go get the vacuuming done now. So I'm like I entertain that part of them and I'm like yes, I see this and reality check, wake up from your dreamland and go vacuum the first things I always look to in my solitaires is like, am I gonna travel this year?

Speaker 2:

because I really love traveling and I remember last year's solar return chart I had I don't remember how much. I had maybe two or three planets in Sagittarius, yeah, and something in the ninth house, something like that, and um, and I just knew like okay, okay, I'm going to be traveling. And I did, I traveled a lot, you did. Yeah, like really lots, and this year I have my son in the ninth house.

Speaker 1:

But nothing in Sag.

Speaker 2:

But nothing in Sag. No, no, are you seeing it? I am, yeah. So, and I actually I'm not so sure if I'm going to be traveling as much as last year I think I might be using another part of the ninth house, which is, uh, when you? Because it's ninth house is a lot about, it's about exploring, so that could be traveling. They can also be like exploring your mind, learning, studying, yeah, studying.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, philosophies, exploring Even things like traveling metaphysically right Through meditation and hypnosis that could look like that too. Yes, that actually, if I were to. I'm looking at your solar return chart right now. So your sun is at four degrees Leo in the ninth and Pluto is at zero degrees Aquarius in the third, so they're opposite each other. Zero degrees Aquarius in the third, so they're opposite each other. So if you were to really take that a step further, it does look like maybe exploring, just mind altering things, or you know things like that exploring different ways of thinking and understanding things when you look at third houses, understanding and thinking. So I think Pluto might be encouraging you to try going deeper into different kinds of hypnosis, or maybe trying some psychedelic somethings or just exploring differently yeah, yeah, it's interesting because I've never been into meditation.

Speaker 2:

I've always felt like it would be too sort of boring to sit down like I love well, I love, I love dancing, so that's that sort of meditation, and like doing yoga, like doing a physical form meditation, uh, but never the sitting. Still one has never been anything for me. But today I'm actually going to a guided meditation for the first time ever. Nice, tonight yeah, excellent.

Speaker 1:

I love meditating in a group or with a guide, like if there's somebody there, that's like all right, and let's settle in and take some deep breath. If there is someone there walking me through it, I am great. Or if I'm using an app, it's great. If I need to just go out in the woods and do it myself. Nope, nope, I really do well with the guided stuff anybody just kind of helping me through that, that's fine.

Speaker 1:

But if I have to sit quietly by myself, like by myself, by myself, yeah, so maybe that's where I've been.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so maybe this is exactly what I need and this is how I will like get get into it.

Speaker 1:

So have you seen? Looked at your chart? You've got your zero degree scorpio, rising is square to your zero degree pluto aquarius. So I think that could be part of the not wanting to answer things, not wanting to talk to people, because there's this inner tension and third, third houses, communications and talking and interacting and friends and gossip and right.

Speaker 1:

So if you got Pluto there in Aquarius and you're currently shifting the way you think, you may not want to answer people or talk to people because you haven't decided if this is really how you think about something, Maybe you maybe like what we just looked at solar arc. You're like I'm not sure about this, I don't know how I think.

Speaker 2:

That's so interesting. That's how I feel with a lot of things. I'm like I'm very quiet, like I am not a super talkative person uh, natally, but this, this last couple of like a month and a half or something, I've really felt like, nah, I'm not into talking so much anymore, like I am very much in my own, I'm super introspective and yeah, like you said, like I don't really know, I haven't decided.

Speaker 1:

yeah, like, very, very like that I feel like later in the year, maybe around after the spring equinox, maybe around april, this energy will shift, but I can see for the foreseeable future with pluto, zero aquarius square to. You're rising at zero scorpio like this is brand new energy zero, zero, like. You just stepped into these signs and your assignment is like okay, learn how to do this, but we're not going to give you any, any extra skills or tools or anything.

Speaker 2:

You just figure it out yeah, yes, you're like okay, and then yes, and then mercury sits at one degree virgo, so that's also I don't know how I think.

Speaker 1:

yet Hang on, I'm analyzing. I'm analyzing, we're computing. We'll be back with you in a moment. Give us a few months to return that call.

Speaker 2:

This is exactly when I was thinking about the solar arc. I'm like I feel a bit iffy about this.

Speaker 1:

Okay, then let's take this a step forward because Mercury is at one degree virgo, square to mars, at four degrees gemini, so now we've got an indecisiveness as well. So now we just threw indecisiveness with gemini. Mars square to your mind in virgo, which is analyzing the crap out of stuff, and that's having a sextile to your rising sign, but that's having a square to Pluto in the third house. You genuinely don't know how you think right now. You do not know, no, I don't and Pluto and Mars are having a sextile. So it's all interconnected, all really interconnected, with communication, gemini, third house and Virgo mind, mercury. Like there's a lot of communication and shifting how you think. I'm excited for you this year.

Speaker 1:

I wonder what our podcast is going to do too, Like how's that?

Speaker 2:

going to shift right. How's this?

Speaker 1:

manifest in the various ways yeah, that's interesting.

Speaker 2:

And then the sun in the 9000.

Speaker 1:

So like not knowing what I'm thinking, but wanting to explore, yes, wanting to explore more and it's leo, so being being explorative in a really big, bright way, like really wanting to explore and being recognized for something that you're exploring, I see recognition.

Speaker 1:

Maybe the podcast will get picked up and be syndicated somewhere and we get paid for it. I don't know, that'd be fun. Let's hope so. Let's hope so. Your son is sextile to Mars in the seventh house in Gemini, and your Mars is on my moon sign exactly. So who knows, who knows, that's exciting to think about.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what do you think about my sixth house then, laura?

Speaker 1:

Well, I saw that one. I saw Saturn in your seventh house, or I mean fifth house, of play and fun, and I have that natally and so I always feel bad when people get it in their solar return, because that's not an easy one. I've learned how to know, I've learned how to work with it natally, but I feel bad for people who get it in their solar return. Saturn in the fifth house is the stealer of fun.

Speaker 2:

He is just the Grinch.

Speaker 1:

He's the Grinch of fun. My kids will be laughing and playing and having so much fun giggling. And I walk in the house and I was like, are your chores done? It's the first thing and I recognize it and I see it. And then I hear someone go Laura, lighten up. I'm like, yeah, I know, I'm working on it. That's Saturn man. It's going to take me a while. Yeah, it's, it's just the stealer of fun. And because it's in pisces, I feel like I don't want to say your creativity's almost being taken away from you this year. But your creativity feels like it's kind of being taken away from you this year no, I feel it.

Speaker 2:

I feel I wrote a sense, a sentence the other day at my phone about uh, being less creative because I am getting also trapped in like scrolling and I feel like the more input in my brain, the the more I'm just uh, you know, getting filled up with information from all sides and corners. Yeah, I can't create.

Speaker 1:

That makes a lot of sense. A lot of sense, yeah, because that would definitely be. Whatever Saturn touches, he removes the energy around the thing he touches or the round the house that he's in. He removes, he causes limitations. He makes you work for it. He makes you work for it. Fifth house is creation, hobbies, procreation, just anything to do with childlike activities. So when it's when he's hanging out in the middle of the fifth house, yeah, he just it's almost like the thief of your creative abilities this year, because your attention needs to go elsewhere.

Speaker 1:

Right, it's like that's not what your focus is. You definitely need to work, work on being mature in this area. And if you are going to be creative, it better be for a purpose. Better be for productivity or making money or something making babies, whatever it is it better be for a purpose, right? Saturn's very purposeful. So if you're going to do creative stuff, it better make sense what you're doing that for.

Speaker 1:

So the fifth house as soon as I saw that, I was like, oh sorry, you're not. It's not that you won't be creative, it's just that it's going to be harder. And then the sixth house creative, it's just that it's going to be harder. And then the sixth house as soon as I saw Chiron at 23 degrees Aries and your moon at 26 degrees Aries, I was like, oh, this looks like your core self-esteem wound being really touched emotionally, like you're going to, you're going to feel emotionally vulnerable around, like good enough-ness, or do I know how to do this? I want to take action on this because it's Aries, so we get, want to take action, but I don't, I don't know. Should I, do I, I don't know. Right, there's a Aries is fun and play. And then we just talked about Saturn in that kind of playful pulling energy back, and then Chiron is going to make you question the action that you take.

Speaker 1:

I feel like that could be some challenges when it comes to you wanting to explore with your Sagittarius or your 9th house. Sun sign the Sagittarius energy Ch ninth house sun sign right the Sagittarius energy. Chiron will go. Oh, that sounds fun, but I don't know if we should spend money on that, or I don't know if we should take the time to do that. We probably should go help our friend move, or. You know, we got to go make dinner or we have to be of service to somebody, right?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, that's so funny because the other day I told my boyfriend like I am gonna, for one year, not buy a single new piece of clothing, like I really feel like I love to put some restrictions on my life right now, like I'm up for that. So that's interesting. But also last year I had some weird stuff with my stomach that actually made me go to the er, and it was not like a big thing, but it happened. So there is something going on and I don't have so much in my sixth house, natally, but here I have the moon in my sixth house and the moon is my stomach. So, and the sixth house is a house of health.

Speaker 1:

So here, when I see this, I felt angsty, angsty, like that was the energy when you were just talking about it.

Speaker 2:

I was like ooh angst. Yeah, because of Aries, right yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yep, yep, and heat. So there's always inflammation. Whenever there's Aries or you know any of the fire signs, you can guarantee there's going to be inflammation and heat or irritation, right? So this would be where you would support your gut health. You would get probiotics, for sure, right? Get all of the good guys supported so that they can take out the bad guys as needed. Right, and anything to lower your heat or inflammation. So watching your sugar intake, maybe cutting out dairy or any kind of like mucus producing stuff, right? So this would be everything about. Your sixth house is aries. Your whole sixth house is aries. So it just looks like do everything you can to keep the heat down in your body, in your mind, in your auric field, like go swimming a lot, take baths a lot, drink a lot, drink a lot of water, a lot of water.

Speaker 2:

That's so funny. I've been so thirsty, drink a lot of water.

Speaker 1:

Yes, Because of the heat and especially emotional heat. Right, I could see you getting really emotionally heated more than normal this year and getting really like spicy and fiery, and all of a sudden you'll say something to your partner or your parents and you're like oh, I don't normally do that I've been waiting for that.

Speaker 2:

it hasn't happened yet, but I've been waiting. When I saw it, I'm like, oh, this is gonna be interesting because I'm a natal moon in capricorn, so I'm like almost a bit excited to bring some you know discussions to the table.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, watch out, this is a new girl in town and that's that moon is square by only four degrees to Pluto in the third house.

Speaker 2:

So what's going to happen?

Speaker 1:

is the Pluto is going to keep the lid on it like a pressure cooker, cause he's good about that, he's good at, like, keeping it down, keeping it down keeping it until it can't keep down anymore. And then the pressure canner is gonna, and then all those words that you've been holding in there, they're all gonna come out.

Speaker 2:

Oh goodness okay, so I have a pretty good explosion to look forward to. You do at least half at least one or two.

Speaker 1:

I think it might be two or three. Actually it looks like three yeah, no, honestly I've.

Speaker 2:

I've looked at some transits coming up for me this fall, which is when I'm sort of seven, eight months into my solo turn chart, and they are looking uh, pretty dramatic and spicy. So yeah, yeah, yeah uh-.

Speaker 1:

And then you've got Uranus in the seventh house of partnerships. So of course this looks like your partner, your friend, your business partner, whoever is going to be the one to activate the nervous system.

Speaker 1:

And then the nervous system activation will turn Pluto on. And then Pluto in the third house, in Aquarius, is going to kind of bring all these words right, lots and lots of words. And then when you get triggered emotionally in that heart chakra gets hit, it's going to come out. Go ahead and call me and let me know when it does. Yes, oh, my God, don't worry girl, I got you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I blew upena's computer before we hit record it's true, it just shut down we got on here and I had just gotten done with my aries moon daughter, I was just, I just had it. She dished out some attitude at me and I was like, oh you did not, and it was uh intense. Not real big but it was intense, it was a little little bomb right. And I came out here and I was letting it all out on Helena and her computer literally just froze and then shut down. It didn't have the bandwidth to handle me.

Speaker 2:

It went Scorpio, it went like just gone, we're out.

Speaker 1:

She's too much.

Speaker 2:

I wasn't prepared for that energy shift so what would you say, like for the people who's never looked at this solar return chart before, if you could pick out, like, because there's so much going on, like when, when you're talking about my chart, it's you know, you're looking at the aspects and the relationships and and that's astrology is. But for a beginner, what would be like two or three things to look at.

Speaker 1:

So your sun will always be in the same place your sun is, so you'll always be a Leo sun sign, with your solar return or whatever your sun is. So the key would be to look and see which house your sun is going to be in, because that's where you identify, right, that's the identity of the house.

Speaker 1:

So is the house going to be parked this year in the area of life of higher education and learning and philosophy and travel ninth house, or is it going to be parked in the 12th house of I want my bed and go to dreamland and do art? Which area of life is the identity or the house going to be parked in this year? Once you understand that, then you can kind of get a feel for, okay, here's kind of the focus of my identity this year. And then you want to look at your rising sign, because the focus of your identity will be filtered through the rising sign. So, ok. So here's, my house is parked in I'm just using your chart in the ninth house of philosophy and travel and higher education, but that is going to be filtered through a brand new Scorpio, ok.

Speaker 1:

So I'm going to want to learn, but maybe I don't want to tell everybody what I'm learning. Maybe I want to learn, but maybe I don't want to tell everybody what I'm learning. Maybe I want to keep it secret. Maybe I want to just do my learning in the background and and just be real subtle about it. Maybe I don't, maybe I'm going to go do something I feel so secretive this year Maybe I'm going to go do some, some psychedelics, but I'm not going to say anything to anybody, right? It's going to be all like, filtered through the secretive, powerful, intense sign of leave me alone, I'm doing my own thing, right?

Speaker 1:

So, even though you're big, bright Leo sun, it's filtered through like really, really dark tinted glasses, really dark tinted that nobody can see through, right? So those things, I think, are the most important when you're looking at a solar return what house is your identity sitting in your sun sign and what's your rising sign? Like those two. If you know those two, you'll be like, okay, it's all right. Just knowing my daughter is a Pisces rising this year and my son is a Pisces rising this year, I'm like we can do this. We can do this, they're just fish swimming around in the pond.

Speaker 1:

Don't chase them, laura, just sit on the edge of the pond and wait for them, just wait, yeah. So then I would say, after that you'll want to look at the moon, and because the moon does shift signs, it shifts everything.

Speaker 1:

So even if you're natally a Capricorn moon in the 12th house. This year you're an Aries moon in the sixth house. That's about as different as you could get. That's really about as different as you could get emotionally. And knowing that if you do not process your emotions, you will develop health issues, like a health issue will show up if you're not dealing with the heat or the fire or the intense emotions that bubble up inside of you. Now, you and me, both being natally 12th house moons, our emotions typically are quite hidden from us. They're there somewhere. We got to go find them a lot of the times. We have to go activate them somehow. For me it's usually going into my bedroom and talking to my husband and typically when I hug him that's like my safe space and once I hug him then I start to relax and cry and let it out. That's my process. Everybody's process is different, but 12th house moons typically have to work to actually feel their feelings. A sixth house Aries moon does not. That's just. It's just there. It's just there. But because of.

Speaker 1:

Scorpio rising, you're not going to want to show people that you're going to be like and then, like, dive into your hiding hole and disappear because those emotions will feel so intense and so strong. So when you're avoiding people, you can probably guarantee that you need to have an emotional outlet of some kind of you know, speaking it out, exercising it, exercising it out, crying it out, whatever it is. Go play something, you know, play a game, laugh it out. But typically there needs to be some movement, especially if you're really retreating from the world. It's your emotions that need to come out, but chiron's right there, so he doesn't want you to because that feels uncomfortable yeah, yeah, this, this, this solo return chart, for me is not as quote unquote easy as last year's.

Speaker 2:

For me, Last year's was like, oh, this is a little bit different, but this looks fun and interesting. This is more like. This is pretty intense, it is. It really is, yeah and uncomfortable, yeah, and I really agree with you. It's is yeah and uncomfortable, yeah, and I really agree with you. It's, yeah, it's the sun, a sun and the moon. And then, if you would add one more thing, I guess it would be just looking at which house has the most activation. Do you have a cluster in any of the houses?

Speaker 1:

Yep, yeah, knowing where the focus is going to be right.

Speaker 1:

Just for me this year, my moon in Scorpio, in the fourth house. I saw that and went all right, it's going to be intense at home this year. Okay, here we go. Just just accept the intensity with with your, your family at home, your, your roots, your parents, your lineage, whatever, however that looks, and the family you live with, whether that's children or your roommates or whatever your home life is, has intensity this year. Laura, you better just like swallow that pill now and be ready. And yeah, yep, it's definitely correct.

Speaker 1:

It's interesting because our our friend jade, who's been on this show. She was in north carolina and she got um hit by the hurricane helene and had to move out and it, her house is okay and but the towns and stuff are just devastated around her and the dams have broken all that. But she's been on our show a couple of times. She does animal communication and Reiki and she was really using a lot of her meditation techniques and her meditation skills to really get through a lot of what she went through. And I was looking at her solar return chart and after the hurricane and after everything and after she ended up moving back to Wisconsin and all that, I looked at it and went. Oh well, I can see the intensity with home life changing and all that, but I couldn't have predicted it would be a hurricane that would knock you out of there In what way?

Speaker 1:

Right, but I could see that your home life was going to be uprooted this year. I could see that and I remember talking to her about that and the way you make money and the way you do all the things is going to have an intense shift. Well shit, I didn't know it was going to be a hurricane, but yeah, yeah, you never really know in what way it will show up.

Speaker 2:

just like your natal chart, like this is the energy, but we don't know how, exactly how it will show up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's so interesting. So, these solar arc charts back to that one up at the beginning we talked about I'm super curious about learning more and I would love to dive in because, again, there's so much out there, whether it's with Vedic astrology or whatever, because, again, there's so much out there, whether it's with Vedic astrology or whatever. So, if you guys are interested in learning more with us, we'll keep diving into all of the weird shit and all of the different charts and keep exploring it with you because it's just it's never ending. Speaker 1:
