Collecting Scars
Welcome to Collecting Scars Podcast. My name is Sydney Olson- A professional parkour/freerunning athlete, a Hollywood stuntwoman, and a lover of all things spirituality, coffee, and aliens. I came to Earth to truly embody what it means to be a badass. I even have a forehead scar to prove it! On the podcast, I'll be sharing stories and ideas that will help you also bring out your inner badass. I'll be talking with inspiring people that live their best, most abundant, exciting, and beautiful lives. My goal is to become very vulnerable with you. To be honest and open so you feel like you can take on the world and be whoever you're meant to be! Thanks for listening.

Taking the Pressure Off Training with Max Henry

In this episode of Collecting Scars, I’m joined by Max Henry—one of the most technical, thoughtful, and controlled athletes in parkour.
I’ve known Max for over ten years, but this conversation gave me a deeper look into his story, his mindset, and how he’s been able to train for nearly two decades with so much longevity. We talk about parkour, van life, parenthood, community, and the mentality that has shaped the way he moves through both training and life.
Max shares his goalless approach to parkour, why nothing ever truly needs to be done, and how removing pressure can lead to better training, stronger self-trust, and fewer injuries over time.
This episode is reflective, grounded, and full of perspective. Some of my best training sessions have been with Max and his wife Christine, and this conversation felt just as meaningful.
We also recorded a companion episode on Max’s podcast, The Takeoff Pod, which I’ll link below.
Thanks so much for listening. Let’s get into it. ✨
