Kaitlyn Conley is a New York woman who gained national attention due to her involvement in a high-profile legal case. In 2017, she was convicted of first-degree manslaughter in the death of her boss and ex-boyfriend's mother, Mary Yoder, a chiropractor in Whitesboro, New York. Yoder died in 2015 from colchicine poisoning, a rare and lethal substance.

Prosecutors argued that Conley poisoned Yoder in an act of revenge, while the defense maintained her innocence, suggesting others may have had motives. Conley's first trial in 2016 ended in a hung jury, but a second trial led to her conviction. She received a sentence of 23 years in prison. The case attracted significant media coverage due to its complexity and dramatic twists, including claims of forged letters and contentious relationships.
