SPEAKER_00:

Hey, love, and welcome back to the Manifest She podcast. If you are new here, I'm Shannon, your manifestation mentor and hype woman for living your most magnetic soul-aligned life. And today we're diving into something that you've probably seen everywhere. And it's all those manifestation methods that are flooding your social feeds. So I'm talking the 369 method, the whisper method, the pillow method, affirmations, scripting, gratitude journaling, vision boards, all of these things promising to help you manifest your wildest dreams. But the real question is, do they actually work? Because maybe you've tried a few and nothing's happened. Maybe you're saying the affirmations or you're writing the gratitude list, you're doing those cute TikTok rituals, but your manifestations are still chilling in some kind of draft folder. So what gives? The truth is that tools do not manifest. You do. Manifestation methods are like screwdrivers. If you don't know which way to turn them, you're just going to keep spinning the same screw in circles, wondering why it's not tightening. It's not the method that makes the magic. It's how you activate it through your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Because manifestation isn't about doing a ritual. It's about reprogramming your subconscious, shifting those neural pathways in your brain so what you believe inside becomes what you experience outside. In this episode, I'm going to break down the seven most popular manifestation methods and why some can work when activated correctly and why others are just aesthetic. So grab your favorite drink, cozy up, and let's get into it. I first want to talk about tools versus activation. Because before we get into the list of the methods, I need you to anchor in something. And that is that manifestation methods are tools, not sources of power. They are designed to help you focus your energy, to clarify your desires, and to create new emotional associations in your subconscious. But they are not magic tricks that override your belief system. If your subconscious is wired for doubt or fear, unworthiness, there is no ritual in the world that's going to override that. You have to teach your brain, and you do that through repetition with your emotions, with your thoughts, and with aligned actions. That is how you create a new reality that is safe and possible for you. That's exactly what I mean when I say activate the method. Activation means using the tool in a way that connects your mind, body, and energy, not just going through the motions. The truth is that none of these manifesting methods are bad. Now, there's a few that I don't recommend, but none of them are bad. They're just incomplete. If you don't connect them to what's happening inside your mind and body, once again, they're just aesthetic things. They're pretty, but they're powerless. When you activate them, you connect the dots. And that's when manifesting stops being hit or miss or feeling like some kind of guessing game and starts becoming who you are. And that's what's inside the manifest sheet method. We always use these four steps to manifest on repeat. The first step is to find clarity because you can manifest what you're not clear about. So before you even grab your journal or open up some kind of notes app to script, you have to know what you're actually calling in and why. You have to ask yourself, what do I actually want? Why do I want it? How will it feel when I have it? Because clarity gives direction to your energy. And without it, you're just manifesting from chaos and confusion. That's exactly what you're going to mirror back. Because remember, whatever's happening inside you is what happens outside of you. So if there's confusion on the inside, you experience confusion on the outside. But when you're clear, you stop chasing vague desires like more money or a better job, and you start anchoring into specifics like how much, what kind, what energy, what alignment. And that is the foundation of every manifesting method that actually works. So number one, you've got to get that clarity. The second step is to identify your limiting belief. Once you know what you want, the next step is to ask what part of me doesn't believe I can have this? Because remember, you have beliefs that are getting in your way. Just because you have a limiting belief does not mean there is something wrong with you. I say this every time, and I'm always going to say it. It's just a belief that no longer serves you. The reason why we have to identify this is because your subconscious has some conflicting belief underneath that we need to move past so the desire that we're now clear about can come in. Maybe it's I'm not smart enough, money doesn't come easy, I always mess things up, I don't deserve stuff like that. You can override these beliefs, but you don't do it with cute Pinterest quotes. You have to be aware of them. That's it. You need to bring that awareness in. You have to identify the belief that you're going to target to overcome so you can have your desire. So it's not just about thinking positive, it's about replacing the story that's currently running your life. So once you've identified the limit or what's getting in your way, the third step is to develop the new belief. So you know the old story, now you can build the new story. And that's where affirmations can come in because you're going to create the affirmation, which is the new story. But it has to be rooted in your truth. A good new belief is stretchy and it's believable. You don't want to shock your nervous system. We talk about our nervous system on here. And this is the part where we don't want to shock our nervous system. If you're living paycheck to paycheck, affirming that you're a millionaire is probably too much and it's going to send you and your nervous system and your brain into fight, fight, or freeze. So we want it to stretch. So if your old story is I always struggle financially, the new stretch may be I'm learning to feel safe with money or I'm open to receiving money in ways that feel aligned. You see how that's grounded, but it's still expansive. It's not where you are, but it's not so far off that it causes you to shut down. And so when you're developing your new belief, I really want you to keep that in mind so that you can once again root into your new truth using your mind without shocking it to train your subconscious. It's the same way you learned your old stories, but now you're learning new stories on purpose. And the last step, and this is the one I feel like most everybody skips, but it's the most important part of all of this. This is what makes your manifestations get out of your head and show up in your 3D world, is the embodiment. You cannot think your way to a new identity. You have to live it. That means you have to align your thoughts, your emotions, and your actions with the new belief. This is not about pretending, my friends. It is not, it is not, it is not. It is about practicing. When you practice embodiment because you know what you want, you're super clear, you know what's getting in the way, you know what your new story is. Now, when you're embodying it on purpose and practicing, you start catching yourself mid-thought and asking, what would my next level self do? How do I align to my new belief instead? You start to choose different in small ways that match that belief that you're building. So your behavior changes. You let your emotions rise to meet the vision instead of waiting for the external proof first. If you are waiting for external proof, you're gonna be waiting a long damn time. And that's the mom and me. I'm just gonna give it to you straight. If you're only gonna feel good when you see it in your outside world, it's not going to happen. That's not the manifestation. Your inner world feels it first and creates it, and then that's what's reflected in the outer world. We talked about this when we talked about the confirmation bias and why all of that is. It's a couple episodes back, go check that out if you want to dive into that some more. That's what embodiment is. It's what's on the inside coming forth to the outside, and you do that with your thoughts, your emotions, and your actions aligning to the new belief that you have set. That's the energy that makes every manifestation method work. Because if you have all of the tools and you're doing all of them, but you're not embodying it, your subconscious is staying the same. When you become it, before it happens, your reality has no choice but to follow. So now that you understand how to activate manifestation through the four-step manifest she method, through clarity, finding those limiting beliefs, creating a new story, and then embodying it, then you can use the methods or the tools to help you with that. You activate it with that. They can support the activation process, the embodiment process to reprogram your mind so you manifest what you want. If you engage your subconscious through clarity, emotion, embodiment, you're in business, baby. But if you skip the steps, that's when the manifestation is falling flat. That's what's missing. So let's talk about affirmations because that's a big one. And a lot of people go on Pinterest and they find this cute little affirmation that says, I am wealthy, I am healthy, I have everything I want. Okay, that's just words. There's no part of the activation process there. That's just a cute little word falling flat. Affirmations is actually step number three of the process. So you need the clarity to identify the limiting belief. Then you can pick the affirmation, which is your new story, and you have to then continue that into the embodiment. So I agree with affirmations as part of my method, but making sure you're activating it from the beginning to the end. So, yes, I firmly am going to support affirmations as one of the methods that you can use, but let's use them wholly and not just a cute little Pinterest pin. The second method a lot of people push is gratitude journaling. I am one of those people. I will tell you to be grateful. In my act as if uh ritual, gratitude is part of it. But it has to be activated. Gratitude fits the activation process beautifully because it does support developing new beliefs and embodiment. It raises your emotional vibration when you're truly grateful. But if you're just writing things down to check off a list with no activation involved, once again, that's falling flat. It's not going to work. It is not a checklist. It's really truly embodying that process with your emotions, with your actions, because your thoughts are even engaged when you're not only saying, I'm surrounded by so many blessings, but then the emotions are warmth and expansion and peace, and your actions can be smiling or breathing deeper, maybe you move through your day expecting to be even more grateful for stuff. That's embedded gratitude. That's an energetic habit. It's not a checklist. The third one is scripting, and this one's really popular where you go write out your next level self on a piece of paper like it has already happened, right? In the present or past tense, it's you living in your desire now. You tell your subconscious, this is my story. You create it. But here's the thing: if you go to right and you have zero clarity, you're just writing confusion. If you go to right and you haven't identified the belief that's getting in the way, there's resistance. If you go to right and you don't have the new story, you're not sure of the new story, once again, just scribbling words on paper, half the time we start reinforcing our old stories when we do this, if we're not going through the process. And then, yeah, you can close the journal, but if you just stop there, you're not taking any kind of action. To make this powerful, to make it work, because yes, this is on my preferred method list, you have to write it as it's happening and feel it. You have to be anchored in that clarity of the new belief that you've developed. You have to use your emotions to make it real, and then your actions later in the day align to what you've already written. Scripting done with activation does rewire your identity. Just writing stuff in confusion or hopes and wishful thinking does not. The fourth one that I love, which I do vision diaries, I don't do vision boards, but you probably think of it as vision boards unless you've been in one of my vision diary classes. But this one is classic for a reason because it uses visuals to anchor your subconscious. But again, the key is activation. It only works if it connects emotionally. If you can look at it and you can conjure up those feelings of that desire that you're aligning to. If you look at it and feel defeated, it just reinforces you being separate from your desire. When I go through this with the classes that I do with vision diaries, we go through the whole process. We look for the clarity and the limitations, and then we make the new story, and then we find the emotions and we put it all together. Like we're not just pasting stuff on paper. And the reason why vision boards don't work for a lot of people is because they think if I just pasted this picture of what I want on a board, it's magically going to come to me. And you just leave it at that. So, can vision boards work? Absolutely, if you activate them. Another super popular method is the 369 method. And I did want to talk about this because once again, it's a fan favorite. It has potential, but it requires a lot of consistency and focus to truly activate it. So, with this method, you write your desire three times in the morning, six times midday, nine times at night to reprogram your mind. But if you're just writing mechanically, you're training your hand, basically, and not your brain, right? You have to activate it. Once again, what are we doing here, guys? I've said it over and over. You find the clarity, what's getting in your way, developed a new story, but you have to embody it. And that's why I say this method can work, but only if you have time, because every time you go to do this method, you need to be in full embodiment to do it. And that would take you several times a day to do that. So the four-step manifest she method activates that, but it takes more time out of your day because with act without the activation, y'all, it's just mindless repetition and we're trying to change our minds over here. So, yes, it can work, but it does take more time. If you have that time, I do recommend that one. Now let's talk about some that I just know. Just to me, no. And I don't recommend. And one of them is the whisper method, and these are the cute ones I feel like that go the most viral because they seem the easiest. Because let's be honest, we all like the quick fix diets when it comes to our bodies, thinking we're gonna lose 10 pounds in 10 days. And we want the quick fix fix methods to manifesting stuff, right? We just want the money tomorrow. I don't want to have to do a lot. It's the world we live in. We're busy, but they're gonna fall flat. All the other ones we talked about don't have to take a lot of time, but following through. But the whisper method just it doesn't leave room for activation. Okay. This is when you set an intention and then you whisper it before you fall asleep. Maybe sometimes you imagine it, but not really. Like people really think I'm just gonna whisper my intention and go to bed, and I'm gonna wake up tomorrow and all there's no reprogramming happening with your brain when we do this. And that's why I don't love this one because it really does skip the activation process entirely. There's very little clarity, emotion, or embodiment. You whisper words, but your brain isn't registering them as new pathways, right? There's no emotional charge, there's no pattern interruption, once again, no embodiment, and manifestation needs repetition and emotional imprinting. And so I feel like the whisper method misses both of those. To me, if you want a nighttime ritual, I feel like you can do any of the other ones that we've already talked about as a nighttime ritual, except 369. The other one that I just am like, heck no, is the pillow method. And the pillow method is where you write what you want to manifest on a piece of paper and you place it under your pillow before you go to sleep. Is that symbolic? Sure. Is it effective? Hell no, it's not effective. And I think this is pretty self-explanatory as far as how we're not engaging our thoughts, emotions, and actions. Once again, which is what we need to reprogram our subconscious. So if you want to use it as a symbolic gesture after doing affirmation work for other stuff, do that. But just doing this on its own, no, that's wishful thinking. That it doesn't work. That's not how manifestation works. Your subconscious is not going to manifest based on your proximity to your pillow and whatever little piece of paper is underneath it. You manifest based on proximity to what you believe. So, other than the last two I mentioned, every other popular manifestation method can be very powerful only if it's activated. It's not about the tool. The tool is not the power. The power is the energy, the emotion, and the alignment you bring to it. Manifestation is not about how many rituals you do, it's about how much your mind, your body, and your energy agree on the belief that you're building. If you want to take the guesswork out of it, you are always welcome to join Manifest Sheet Coaching on Demand because it's the exact framework that I use so that you can get where you're trying to go. It gives you an activation plan to go through for 30 days. Well, Shannon, why is 30 days important? Typically, not always, but typically it takes about 30 days to develop a new belief, depending on what you're trying to do. And coaching on demand guides you through it and personalizes it for you. So I'm going to put that in the show notes for you to check out. Get on that if you want to get to manifesting, because you don't manifest because of a method, right? You don't manifest because you say a Pinterest quote or because you put a picture on a board. You manifest because you're the activator, you're the power. As you go through today and from here on out, I want you to realize you are where the power comes from. I'll chat with you next week.
