Bishop Wright's wisdom flows from a lifetime of spiritual leadership, beginning with his first church song at age six. His reflections on God's omnipresence bring fresh perspective to how we understand divine availability: "He's never too busy," Wright explains, describing how God simultaneously responds to needs across the globe without diminishing His attention to any individual. This theological concept becomes deeply personal as Wright shares how God's presence "changes the whole atmosphere" whenever He shows up.
The conversation takes us through powerful testimonies of divine protection, including a remarkable story of how spiritual obedience spared his daughter from a car break-in when others were targeted. Wright's insights on spiritual warfare are equally compelling, especially his observation that God's armor protects everything except your back because "He didn't make nothing to protect the back." This powerful metaphor illustrates why standing firm rather than retreating is the path to victory.
At nearly 90 years old, Bishop Wright embodies joyful perseverance and spiritual vitality. His infectious enthusiasm for God's faithfulness challenges listeners to examine their own faith journey. Whether you're facing personal battles, seeking deeper spiritual understanding, or simply needing encouragement, Bishop Wright's testimony reminds us that God "prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies" and that "goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life." Listen now and allow his lifetime of wisdom to transform your perspective on faith, protection, and divine presence.

When you serve, and when you honor and serve in God and keep him first, you never lose. Welcome back to Experiencing Amazing Transformation Podcast. I'm your host, kim, and today we have the honor oh my gosh, to celebrate a giant in faith, an amazing pillar in our community. God's gift to earth, bishop Paul C Wright. Welcome, welcome, welcome, thank you, thank you, god bless you, god bless you. So we are here just honoring your leadership, your love, the passion that you have for God's people, and we just, you're just honored that you allowed us to interview you and just talk to you and just let others know more about this, this wonderful man, god. It's quite a blessing how safe this way to be, because God is the one that you know sends his approval upon whatever we do when we're serving him, and but it it doesn't stop with the person or persons that's giving it. That's what you call an overflow. In other words, he, the God, feeds you and we are his workers, vineyard workers. We might not all be doing the same thing, but we're working in his vineyard and see, and Paul said it this way, Paul said some planted, some watered. That's what we're doing, and when we do that, we don't have to worry about the increase, because he's never failed. Oh, that's good. He never fails, see. So, in other words, when you're serving, when you're honoring and serving God and keep him first, you never lose. He's not a loser, he's a winner. And when you please, well, that says it's where you want to look at total life. You've been pleasing him because he is the creator and he's the maker of everything. So if he created it and make it, that means he's the owner. He's knocks at the door and steal nothing in the way he states it in his word. He said if any man, he didn't say Bob soon, sally, whatever, didn't have man. He didn't say Bob Sue, sally, whatever, he didn't have to. But he's talking to Bob Sue, charlie, sally, whoever. When he said if any, it doesn't matter what your name is, it doesn't matter where you live. He said if any man, if you answer that knock. He said you'll come in. Who in the world is it? They don't know. God to come into your see. If you see a few tears running, that's just a joy, that's alright. That's alright, alright To joy. The Lord, that's joy, that's what that is. See, his presence, just, just just His presence changes the whole atmosphere. I hear people and I don't criticize, but I hear people you know, make mention of different times when things is going on and said we had a time and I tell you, the Lord showed up and he showed that you don't have to show us. When the Lord show up, he is the show, the you see a little good, but just him showing up changes the whole atmosphere. See, that's what he does for us and there's no limit to what you can do, because he said all A-L-L, that's all.
Speaker 1:If you got a vessel of any kind and you put any kind of anything in it, any fluid in it or whatever, be water or whatever, bring it here. I want it dry. Okay, here we go. If it's got to drop in there, it ain't dry, right, well, it ain't empty, see, it ain't empty, see, so he's complete. There is no short, nothing short when it comes to God. He full, full, feels full, feels that full means all the way at the top. Yeah, full of meat. Yes, that's good to me, I'll take it. Yeah, and see, this is where the joy comes. Yes, and because of that move, see, god speaks to the spirit. That's the, your inner heart. It's not the text, you know, tickles, or how you want to say it. You have to heart beat, but it's the most important part of the person, because he speaks to your mind, your conscience and your entire system. When he speak, his word is so powerful that it doesn't matter what part of your body is hurting your knee might be hurting, but maybe your head. But he can take care of this and he already knows and he's just waiting for me to ask that's it. And when it comes to paying, I don't care what the problem is, he got it. It doesn't matter what he got, he's got it. And see, all that he wants. The first thing and the main thing that he honors is when we take part. See, we don't have no time he gives it to us. We don't have no time. I don't know no time. You don't know no time he gives it to us. I don't know no time, you don't know no time he gives it to us. And if he, if he want to extend, I was in a citywide revival one time and one of the preachers that was doing it was out there and said Reverend Wright, you think you're gonna live?
Speaker 1:No, he said, you think God won't let you live to be a hundred? I said no, okay, look at the course you're in. He said do I think the Lord will let me? No, I don't. I'm in, okay, I'm on my table. I'm going. No, no, I don't. Okay, I'm going to tell you where I'm going. No, I still don't.
Speaker 1:I'm answering the question the way it was asked and being truthful with the answer to the question yeah, do you think God won't let you live? To be a no, okay, what is the answer to me? In the reason I say no, yes, if I say yeah, I'm saying something I don't even know. I might not live to tomorrow. God was not a hundred. God might want to keep me 115.
Speaker 1:You see whether it's a my answer to him would know which is a true answer. So, oh, god knows the truth and that's what I told him. That's good to me, that's good. See, that's what I tell him. Yes, and see the point of it. You can't hide nothing from him and we don't have to even open your mouth. He knows what you're thinking. He knows what you're feeling, because he made you. He made you. Shouldn't he know all about you? He's total. There's nothing missing. He's total, he's complete. And do I, as far as time goes, even in the 121st number of Psalms, it tells us he never slumbered. See, he sleeps with me every night, every night, and that's the only way I woke up when she came in there with his divine touch.
Speaker 1:Yes, okay, the people in China, the reason they woke up. The same one on the head. He's everywhere, yes, omnipresent. The same one that woke me, yes, woke me and woke you. Yes, sir, see, woke me and woke you. He already know your name, he know where you live. He ain't got that. By what number? He already got the numbers that he know. And he's the only one. See, he's a nip Rensselaer. That means he's present everywhere. Somebody need him.
Speaker 1:In Germany, you pray, you ain't got to wait until you get the God. That's already there, he's already there and you don't have to shorten. In other words, he's never too busy. He's never too busy Because, while he's taking care of the thing in Germany, somebody might call him in Spain when he's there. Also, because he's the only one that don't have to leave one place to get the word, for he's already there and he's up. See, take your time, take your time. We are here for it and it's good to us.
Speaker 1:You see, my daughter and I, she is so sweet, punky when I'm, a lot of times at the church where I'm passing, I make mention. I say to everybody needle punky, everybody. I agree with that. She reminds me of my mom and her mom Really. And pumpkin got my mom's voice when she sang. You could put them in whatever room, in other words, put them out of your sight and let them sing, you wouldn't know. And whoever starts it, if my mom starts a song and Funkin starts singing it, you can't tell the same voice. She got my mom's voice. That's so good she sure had.
Speaker 1:And God help, I sung my first song in church. I sung my first song in church. I guess maybe I was six years old, I don't know for sure. I was five or six, six at the most. I went over six years old when I sang in the name of the song Jesus Care when I'm oppressed. And back that time you know they didn't have all the music, nothing. You know all the musical equipment and so forth, especially drums, and my dad's second oldest sister, she had a sawed-off broom hammer and that's what she used to beat the drum with the time beat. And when I would start the song, the Jesus cares when I'm oppressed. I know my Jesus, my Jesus cares. And then she did that boom boom. And that boy boom boom. Oh, yes, I know he cares. She was the president of the Sunshine Band back then. Wow, yeah, this was way back.
Speaker 1:Like I'm saying, this episode is proudly brought to you by our legacy sponsor, victoria Baalke. Farm Bureau Insurance Agent. That was my first church song, I can tell you that. And you were six. What you were about? Six, yeah, no, I might not be quite. But how old is she? Four, yeah, six. At the most I might not even have been six, wow, so you've been in ministry or you've been in the church since when? Always, oh, I got pictures of my mom and dad on my camera. Ministry or minute. You've been in the church since when, like always, because you might be again I got, I got pictures of my mom and the head on my camera. Yeah, yeah, after, um, they did some pictures. You know that he took and, and my first wife is over there, and then all the, the whole family, the pumpkin and the rest of sisters and brothers are on there. So was your dad a preacher? Yeah, he was.
Speaker 1:See, was, I'm gonna tell you I got, I got the, the gifts I guess you could call it the anointing the gifts and things that the lord had given me is from my dad, and on every day there would be somewhere ministering to or praying for people. And the same thing the Lord uses me to pray to encourage people, people and I love people. I'm out, I don't know, I don't agree, I don't know nobody that I hate, you know, disagree with whatever, disagree with with calling in the key the Lord in disease, and I attended whatever the Lord want to do, but I'm not. You know the words, paul, or whatever it says. You know that's my name, first name, right, but uh, I'm trying to continue to listen to whatever god give and that's what I have always.
Speaker 1:I was taught that at home did I obey everything that? No, I'm being honest, no, but I. But see, there's a difference in if I well, let's say this way, I don't know nobody uh, as a child, obeyed everything that they parented, but then that's something that because you didn't obey something, you notice I put the sum in there. That don't mean you're rebellious. See what I'm saying. I do See, when you get to the point of rebellion that becomes a spirit, a part of you, where you start to begin to reject everything, good or bad, what don't matter what. I got this, no, you don't have it. And that makes that's a difference in personality. You know it was it? Do I know?
Speaker 1:If Solomon stated it? We lean up to that. I don't understand. It ain't about what I think. It ain't about you know what we think.
Speaker 1:Said lean not to lie. No one understand. He said it all. And just that example I just showed about the one of the boss. Everything we do, we need to check in with him and we don't have to stop. You can do that while you're driving down the highway. Just keep him in your heart.
Speaker 1:God said David was a man after his own heart. Yeah, now some people hide in the world. Hide in the world. Can you keep? God ain't never run, nobody crazy. I've heard you ain't no way. Nobody crazy. I've heard you ain't no way you can keep your mind In the Bible. It wouldn't say keep your mind on the Lord. I would tell them if you're missing a little bit Of that's because you don't keep your mind On the Lord. God ain't ever run, nobody crazy. He is the healer. He's the healer. He's the one that Restores your thinking. You see, solomon Said it this way the beginning of wisdom, the beginning of wisdom, he said, is when you, he said, in other words, you trust God.
Speaker 1:He said to fear what do you do? Work for you, but you ain't all my God, go skate. And he's talking about honor and trust God. No words. Listen in in your spirit. You know just your heart, you know just your heart, you, you know you, you, you, you name, you know the word, your soul. Right, the obedient God will never lead you straight, for the Sun died on the cross, in the in in John 3, 16, which is the theme, the whole theme of the Bible. For God so loved the world, he gave his only God's son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. And it's true. Jesus paid the debt. Okay, and a lot of people.
Speaker 1:I've been speaking, you know, with some people and I don't. You know, we always, let's say it this way none of us know everything. We always, you know we are in need to learn, okay, but then what I'm saying to learn is that we remain open and receptive to the word, ready to receive from him, because he, he, he knows everything, he knows everybody, he is everywhere. And when I realized that, in other words, what I'm saying is yeah, okay, I know, no, no, no, no, no, take it seriously, no matter where you. That's why. That's why David said, though I walk through the valley, not sunshine and pools and lakes. He said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, my God, I ain't no fear, because I got protection. Ain't nobody with God, ain't nobody. Ain't no, nothing, ain't nobody.
Speaker 1:Way back, way back, there was a guy and he did record this out. I don't think they had the CDs or anything, because it's been way that Leroy Brown, without a recall of him, you know, bad, leroy Brown is what the other one was up there. When I'm on the floor teaching, I tell him. I make mention of that. I said if any of y'all haven't run into Leroy, tell him his little preacher at his little church here. Tell him, say, I know somebody better than he is, that's it. Yeah, I know somebody better than he is, that's it. Yeah, I know somebody better than he is. I know somebody better than he is, better than he is. Yeah, yeah, you ain't whooping the one I know, see, because he ain't never lost.
Speaker 1:I always say come, make mention of putting the whole long, long Right. But even at that point we're serving some time to give up. We're human and sometimes we go too extra. Some of us are stronger than others.
Speaker 1:God didn't make carbon copies. You know there's some people that have the need to pray a little more often than others. You know it's whatever the spirit I have the spirit dictate to you, but now to just disregard it, no, no, no, that don't God. He's pleased with that. You need to recognize the one, that who created us, who was god. But paul said it did great, put on the whole honor, but he didn't make nothing to better back. And it seems, uh, that I say, ah, this truth is god the word ain't never. You know what. I'm just saying with a lot of what and not of. I'm not a criticizer. People just make it mention of what happened, even me, if I happen to do or say something.
Speaker 1:But when you're in battle, which we are, got the whole arm roll, didn't make nothing to put it back, but he didn't forget. You know he intended it that way and this is what Paul said. And this is what Paul said. He said and when you have done all, all, all, just stand, guess what he says. He didn't say run, he didn't say back up, he didn't say turn your back, he told you to stay there. But you see, this is what we need to realize. That's our victory.
Speaker 1:At that point, and then all that I can do, the devil is in trouble. My God finished. My God is right there, and the reason, the reason God is doing that, is because he know I'm trying my very best and he is not going to let me go down. He said don't worry, baby, just stand up. I got the rest, that's right. He ain't gonna let you see a sound. All of you quiet in the world, cause I haven't did it.
Speaker 1:No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Don't leave. God is there. God is there, man, and he ain't going to stand there and watch you go down. You ain't going down. Nuh-uh, wow, see that that's good, that's yum-yum good, that's yum-yum good, ooh-wee See.
Speaker 1:So this is why, you know, when people begin to maybe think strange of you or maybe, you know, do some name-calling or whatever, they don't mind that. You know, they just don't understand who he is. They just don't understand, because if they knew who he was, you'd be acting just like I am crazy, as a bat. You're right. And I said he was Full of joy, though, that's right, I'm going to go back, I'm going to go and chapel down there. I said here's a crazy guy showing up again, that's all right. And I told him.
Speaker 1:I said I ain't changing. I said it. I said it ain't going to change, that's it, that's right. I said I'm still going to see. No, what I'm saying is and then I'll be telling them.
Speaker 1:I said and you look at it, woman, it's not afraid. I said because whatever God gives me to do or say, I said I'm crazy enough to do it. I said and the reason I am because ain't gonna let me down. See, that's it, that's all he want. If you go, he ain't gonna just let you know. That's why David said it.
Speaker 1:He said thou prepare the table for me, for me, yeah, he ain't worried about what any missus around around it. He matter that he wanted to see him. Bless you if you be a bluffing and blowing and got anybody being mad on blue more. You say yeah, but they've been saying the presence of my enemy and thou knowest, my head withal. And then, who is it in the world, he said surely? He said goodness, goodness shall follow me how long? All, all the days of my life, and I'll dwell in the house of the Lord forever. What a statement In God. He is true, he will do it.
Speaker 1:It's like the 121st number of songs I say he never slumber. If I need him 3 o'clock at lunch or whatever, he's the one that's on the time. He don't sleep, never slumber, never sleep. He's awake for us. See, and it don't matter where you are, I can and I say have church. Really, we play songs and whatever and discuss the Bible.
Speaker 1:A lot of times when he's here every night and when she get ready to leave, we have prayer together and a number, probably about, say, 4 or 5 months ago, we have finished, you know, the singing and playing, the music and so forth, and I had a prayer and she was in the lead and go, and God dropped something in my spirit and I told her. I said baby, hold up a minute. I said, come here. And what he put in my spirit was two words, I told him. I said, lord, just put this in my spirit. And I said after every prayer. I said it don't have to be. I said it can be for your food, or it can be food before you go to bed, or it can be while you're driving down the road're going to have a wild winter. I said I see the spirits there. And I told her. I said the Lord said after you pray.
Speaker 1:I said you remember in the Bible? He said by my awe is the present thing. I said so what's happening there and what happens? I said none of us. No, we don't know. We don't get sick or whatever. I said God don't bring no sickness, I said. And he said by faith. I said if we got the faith, we're all ready to leave. If we have the faith, that's right.
Speaker 1:And she left and went on to a point and never had no problem. She left state of the art. She come back that next evening. She said, ben, let me tell you what happened. And I said remember she never had no kind of problem. She said remember that she never had no kind of problem. She said last night. When I got up this morning she said last night. She said three cars were in the parking lot that got broken into. Where the parking lot got broken into, she said mine was number four. But it wasn't her. My God, wow. I told her Victory. I told her it was what God gave.
Speaker 1:See, we don't know everything, we don't see everything and we don't, like I said, we did some crazy. You know, if he spoke the spirit in the enemy, come call back here. See, god knew what was going to take place. That's why Solomon said See, we just said I don't care what it is At church, when I was at church and you know what God makes, mention about that our child. So they didn't say something.
Speaker 1:It's good to listen to your children and even the little fellows, because a lot of times at church I said we don't know when the door closes. That's like right now, we don't know what's outside that door, right, could be a dangerous reptile of some kind or something or anything. Right, don't go, I'll get it, I'll get it open that door, you go. See, that's like we didn't, she didn't know, we don't know. But being obedient when it is in a lifetime with, with block, in other words, when god, whatever, we need to listen. That's our protection. That's our protection. Let the people know how old you are. Huh, let the people know how old you are. Well, another, what's this? 12, 6 months, another year. In 6 months I'll be 90 years old. Yeah, born in 1936. Thanks for watching, guys.
