Hi. My name is Rick Clark. I'm the AVP and Executive Director of Undergraduate Admission at Georgia Tech and along with my friend, colleague and coauthor Brennan Barnard, who is the Director of College Counseling at the Khan Lab School, we're excited to launch a new podcast, The Truth About College Admission, brought to you by Johns Hopkins Press. After working in the field for the last 20 years, we realized that the admission experience can be overwhelming and complicated.
So our goal is to help your family cut through the noise around searching for visiting, applying to and ultimately selecting a college. In each episode, we'll bring you perspective and tips from working directly with high school students and their parents, as well as better understanding into what's happening on college campuses as they recruit students, make admission decisions, and build their class.
We'll talk with national leaders in college admission and enrollment who will give you helpful advice, honest takes, and in many cases, some much needed solace and levity. Brennan and I will then quickly debrief the conversation by identifying one or two truths that they hit on and how you can incorporate that into your admission experience. Ultimately, our hope is we can be a resource to students and families, so that college admission and be more like college itself.
