This week, Esther’s story takes a dark turn just as life in the palace has finally become comfortable. Sometimes God comforts us in our pain, and sometimes He disturbs us in our comfort. What if the things you’ve started noticing aren’t interruptions at all, but invitations to see where God is already at work? Ask yourself, “What has God allowed me to see that I can no longer pretend I don’t see?”

Notes

God’s purpose for where you are is bigger than your comfort.

Comfort isn’t a bad thing - it’s just a dangerous place to settle.

Esther 3:1-2, 5-6, 13 NLT

Comfort makes you less aware.

Comfort can distract you from your calling.

What looks like chance is often God’s providence in disguise.

Just because something has been decided around you doesn’t mean God has stopped working ahead of you.

God comforts us in our pain, but He disturbs us in our comfort.

If God put it in your hands, He wants to use it for His purpose.

What has God allowed you to see that you can no longer pretend you don’t see?

Maybe the disturbance you feel isn’t something wrong with you, but a prompting that God wants to use you.
