I’m so happy with this episode. We did it folks, we finished Nephi. We also sang the longest drunk singing reading to date! We get to brass tacks; what is the holiest of the holes? And we figure out the name of God's bar. It's not cloud 9. That would be stupid. Only an idiot would come up with that. And come up with our best tshirt design, maybe ever.
Now, I’ve (Gonzo) read this book several times before with so much earnestness. I wanted to figure out how it could possibly be what it was claimed to be. I never got there. Instead, I started enjoying the prompted inquiry I could derive from reading some of its better stories. But that felt like tarot cards, which I also like, but it wasn’t enough to want to stay close to it. Finishing, Nephi I’m aware of something beautiful taking place. We’re doing a form of destructive art, and it’s so fucking cool to be doing this. Right now the work is to read this book but I think there’s more to this art project that we’re going to explore this summer. Enjoy as Bronze, Cara, and I close out Nephi with a bang.
