air."},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":194.4,"endTime":198.8,"body":"The often-catastrophic health impacts"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":194.4,"endTime":198.8,"body":"of air pollution were made fatally clear"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":198.8,"endTime":204.0,"body":"and, in response, in 1956, the United"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":198.8,"endTime":204.0,"body":"Kingdom adopted the Clean Air Act."},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":204.0,"endTime":209.2,"body":"Over 70 years later, cities around the"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":204.0,"endTime":209.2,"body":"world are still suffering negative health"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":209.2,"endTime":214.0,"body":"impacts of air pollution, primarily"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":209.2,"endTime":214.0,"body":"caused by the burning of fossil fuels."},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":214.0,"endTime":219.6,"body":"And, just as in 1956, London is yet"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":214.0,"endTime":219.6,"body":"again leading the charge against air"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":219.6,"endTime":223.2,"body":"pollution, ensuring all residents"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":219.6,"endTime":223.2,"body":"are breathing safer, cleaner air"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":223.2,"endTime":225.2,"body":"through a variety of measures."},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":225.2,"endTime":229.2,"body":"[upbeat, energetic music] Under"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":225.2,"endTime":229.2,"body":"the leadership of Mayor Sadiq Khan,"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":229.2,"endTime":234.4,"body":"the Ultra Low Emission Zone, or"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":229.2,"endTime":234.4,"body":"ULEZ—an area of Clean Air Wins campaign is focused"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":241.6,"endTime":246.8,"body":"on building a network of advocates"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":246.8,"endTime":251.6,"body":"committed to social and environmental"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":246.8,"endTime":251.6,"body":"justice and was a vital tool in"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":251.6,"endTime":256.4,"body":"building public support for the ULEZ"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":251.6,"endTime":256.4,"body":"expansion and other clean air policies."},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":256.4,"endTime":261.2,"body":"Thus far, ULEZ is estimated to have"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":256.4,"endTime":261.2,"body":"contributed to a 4.5% reduction"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":261.2,"endTime":265.2,"body":"in long-term health problems and"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":261.2,"endTime":265.2,"body":"an 8% decrease in respiratory"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":265.2,"endTime":267.2,"body":"issues like asthma and bronchitis."},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":267.2,"endTime":272.4,"body":"It is expected to bring cleaner air"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":267.2,"endTime":272.4,"body":"to an additional 5 million people"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":272.4,"endTime":277.2,"body":"while reducing able to breathe clean air should"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":277.2,"endTime":283.2,"body":"be a human right but here are some"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":285.2,"endTime":288.8,"body":"Organization, only 1% of"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":288.8,"endTime":292.4,"body":"the global population can"},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":288.8,"endTime":292.4,"body":"take that right for granted."},{"speaker":"David 03","startTime":292.4,"endTime":298.0,"body":"99% of the world's population does not"},{"speaker":"David
