SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_05

Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. There is a word, there's lots of words for today. God has me coming from Philippians. Now, I want to say this very important, very loud, and hopefully I'll keep repeating it. God has in has us has had us in Philippians 4, 4 through 9. Let me read it really quick in the King James Version. Um, when we read it, and oftentimes I quote it and I say, Oh, I'm gonna get this memorized in the right order and praise the Lord. Um, God's been working with me on that, and so today it it did come out in the right order. Um, when we read Philippians 4, 4 through 9, it says, Rejoice in the Lord always. And again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God. So that careful, full of care, don't be full of worry. Okay, in the peace of God, verse 7, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4, 8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things, those things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me do, and the God of peace shall be with you. And so as I highlight it, oh, God doesn't want us thinking on bad news. This is me highlighting it throughout the year plus that God has had us on this. I often, and I shared this with our youth already, I often communicate about those lovely things. Oh, think about the good, bright, good, you know, things that make you happy. This is very much a part of it. But I just want to highlight today the bigger part is when you look at the definitions of these true, honest, just, pure things, that they there's a a uh good actions associated with that. Oh, the truth lining up with God's standard, the honest, the person who speaks truth, walks in a true way, the just, those that align themselves to the true path in God. And so that's why it follows that says those things that you've learned and heard in me, that's where we have our eye looking at is where you go. So if you ever learn to ride a bike, if you're looking at the handles trying to point them, you're gonna be wobbly unstable. But if you look at where you want to go, that's where the bike goes. Similarly, they say don't look at that bat when you're trying to hit that ball. You look at where you want the ball to go. What we look at, when we look at those holy things that God has taught us, those pure, just, those true, honest, just, pure, lovely, a good report things, virtuous things. And we go that direction. And we go that direction. When we look at those harmful things, say if you are, say if you look at, oh, there's a whole bunch of racist people in the world and that's all you focus on, it's almost impossible for you not to become racist yourself. Prejudiced yourself. If you look at the evil things, like, oh, they're so this, they're so angry, those people are so angry, it's almost impossible for you not to be angry yourself. As we hear what God wants to say through us by looking at the letter from Paul to the Philippians, I want y'all to say, oh, look, this is where God wants me to go. This is what I'm going to be looking at.

SPEAKER_04

We're going to be hearing stories about people willing to give to Paul so much that they would risk their life gladly. We'll hear about unconditional love.

SPEAKER_05

We'll hear about going on for Jesus. Are we ready to get into it? We're going to read the message first and then Philippians, uh, and then the King James Version. And hopefully my eyes will corroborate. The words on this Bible are pretty big, but let's see. Okay, it's a Philippians one. And praise the Lord, my um sweetheart, my wonderful Minister Daniel, got me water. Let us begin with the message. Philippians 1. Paul and Timothy, both of us committed servants of Christ Jesus, write this letter to all the followers of Jesus and Philippi, pastors and ministers included. We greet you with the grace and peace that comes from God our Father and our Master Jesus Christ. Philippians 1, verse 3 in the message. Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God's message from the day you heard it right up to the present. There's never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. Philippians 1.7. And if you have access to the message, please, uh, message Bible, please follow along. Philippians 1.7. It's not at all fanciful for me to think this way about you. My prayers and hopes have deep roots in reality. You have, after all, stuck with me all the way from the time I was thrown in jail, put on trial, and came out of it in one piece. All along you have experienced with me the most generous help from God. He knows how much I love and miss you these days. Sometimes I think I feel as strongly about you as Christ does. You all, this was an answer to prayer because I had known this. I was like, God, what happened to my unconditional love? When did it get so easy? I know with you know, with grief and everything else, I know what it happened.

SPEAKER_04

When did it get so easy to measure what people are doing? How do they treat me? Oh, I feel the wrong way.

SPEAKER_05

I used to have so much unconditional love. Help me, Lord. And then he sent me to this word. Thank you, God, for answering prayer. Philippians 1 9 in the message. So this is my prayer that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much well, learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary. A life Jesus will be proud of, bountiful and fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1 12. I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment here has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the messages actually prospered. All the soldiers here and everyone else too found out that I'm in jail because of this Messiah. That piqued their curiosity, and now they've learned all about him. Not only that, but most of the followers of Jesus have become far more sure of themselves in the faith than ever, speaking out fearlessly about God, about the Messiah. Verse 15. But the others do it with the best heart in the world. One group is motivated by pure love, knowing that I'm here defending the message, wanting to help. The others, now that I'm out of the picture, are merely greedy, hoping to get something out of it for themselves. Their motives are bad. They see me as their competition, and so the worse it goes for me, the better they think for them. Philippians 1 18. So how am I to respond? I've decided that I really don't care about their motives. Whether mixed, bad, or indifferent, every time one of them opens his mouth, Christ is proclaimed. So I just cheer them on. Are you following along? And I'm going to keep this celebration going because I know how it's going to turn out. Through your faithful prayers and the generous response of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, everything he wants to do in and through me will be done. I can hardly wait to continue on my course. I don't expect to be embarrassed in the least. On the contrary, everything happening to me in this jail only serves to make Christ more accurately known. Regardless of whether I live or die, they didn't shut me up. They gave me a platform. Alive, I'm Christ's messenger. Dead, I'm his prize. Life versus even more life, I can't lose. As long as I'm alive in this body, there is good work for me to do. If I had to choose right now, I hardly know which I choose. Hard choice. The desire to break camp here and be with Christ is powerful. Some days I think of nothing better. But most days, because of what you are going through, I am sure that it's better for me to stick it out here. So I plan to be around a while, companion to you as your growth and joy in this life of trusting God continues. You can start looking forward to a great reunion when I come visit you again. We'll be praising Christ and join each other. Philippians 1 27. Meanwhile, live in such a way that you are a credit to the message of Christ. Let nothing in your conduct hang on whether I come or not. Your conduct must be the same whether I show up to see things for myself or hear it from a distance. Stand united, singular in vision, contending for people's trust in the message, the good news, not flinching or dodging in the slightest before the opposition. Your courage and unity will show them what they're up against. Defeat for them, victory for you, and both because of God. There's far more in this life than trusting in Christ. There's also suffering for him. And the suffering is as much as a gift as the trusting. You're involved in the same kind of struggle you saw me go through, on which you are now getting an updated report in this letter. Philippians 2, verse 1. If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in the community of the spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care, then do me a favor. Agree with each other. Love each other. Be deeply spirited friends. Don't push your way to the front. Don't sweet talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand. Philippians 2 verse 5. Think of yourself the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God, but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of what the status, no matter what, of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity, godship, deity, and took on the status of a slave, becoming human. Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn't claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death. And the worst kind of death at that, a crucifixion. Philippians 2, verse 9. Because of all that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything ever. So that all created beings in heaven and on earth, even those long ago dead and buried, will bow and worship before this Christ Jesus and call out and praise that he is the master of all to the glorious honor of God the Father. Philippians 2, verse 12. What am I getting at, friends? Is that you should simply keep on doing what you've done from the beginning. When I was living among you, you lived in responsive obedience. Now that I'm separated from you, keep it up. Better yet, redouble your efforts. Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God's energy, an energy deep within you. God Himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure. Philippians 2.14. Do everything readily and cheerfully, no bickering, no second guessing allowed. Go out into the world uncorrupted. A breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving message into the night so that I'll have good cause to be proud of you on the day that Christ returns. You'll be living proof that I didn't go to all this work for nothing. Philippians 3 17. Even if I am executed here and now, I'll rejoice in being an element in the offering of your faith that you make on Christ's altar, a part of your rejoicing. But turn about fair play. You must join me in my rejoicing. Whatever you do, whatever you do, don't feel sorry for me. Philippians 3 19. 2.19, thank you. 219. I plan, according to Jesus' plan, to send Timothy to you very soon so he can bring back all the news of you he can gather. Oh, how that will do my heart good. I have no one quite like Timothy. He is loyal and genuinely concerned for you. What a blessing it is to be concerned for others. Most people around here are looking out for themselves with little concern for the things of Jesus. But you know yourselves that Timothy's the real thing. He's been a devoted son to me as together we've delivered the message. As soon as I see how things are going to fall out for me here, I plan to send him off. And then I'm hoping and praying to be right on his heels. Philippians 2.25. But for right now, I'm dispatching Epaphroditus, my good friend and companion in my work. You sent him to help me out. Now I'm sending him to help you out. He has been wanting in the worst way to get back with you, especially since recovering from the illness you heard about. He's been waiting to get back and reassure you that he is just fine. He nearly died, as you know. But God had mercy on him. And not only on him, he had mercy on me too. His death would have been one huge grief piled on top of all the others. Do you see what a blessed it is to care and yearn for one another? Let's keep reading. Philippians 2, verse 26, 28. Sorry. So you can see why I'm so delighted to send him on to you. When you see him again strong and strapping, you'll rejoice, you'll rejoice in how relieved I'll be. Give him a grand welcome, a joyful embrace. People like him deserve the best you can give. Remember the ministry to me that you started but weren't able to complete. While in the process of finishing up that work, he put his life on the line and nearly died doing it. Will you put your life on the line to help others? I pray so. Philippians 3, verse 1. And that's about it, friends. Be glad in God. I don't mind repeating what I've written in earlier letters, and I hope you don't mind hearing it again. Haven't we heard this over and over? Amen. Better safe than sorry. So here it goes. Philippians 3, verse 2. Steer clear of the barking dogs, those religious busybodies, all barking, no bite. All they're interested in is appearances. Nice, happy circumcisors, I call them. The real believers are the ones the Spirit of God leads to work away at this ministry. Filling the air with Christ's praises as we do it. We couldn't carry this off by our own efforts. And we know it. Even though we can list what many might think is impressive credentials, you know my pedigree. A legitimate birth, circumcised on the eighth day, an Israelite from the elite tribe of Benjamin, a strict and devout adherent to God's law, a fiery defendant of the purity of my religion, even to the point of persecuting the church. A meticulous observer of everything set down in God's law book. Philippians 3, verse 7. The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I'm tearing up and throwing out with the trash, along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my master firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant. Dog dung, dog poop. I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and then be embraced by him. I didn't want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ. God's righteousness. Philippians 3, verse 10. I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself. If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it. Philippians 3, verse 12. I'm not saying that I have all this all together, that I've made it, but I'm well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong. By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal where God is beckoning us onward to Jesus. I'm often running and I'm not turning back. So let's keep focused on that goal. Those of us who want everything God has for us, if any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision. You'll see it yet. Now that we're on the right track, let's stay on it. Philippians 3, verse 17. Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running the same course, headed for this same goal. Will you look out for your brethren and sisters? There are many out there taking other paths, choosing other goals, and trying to get you to go along with them. I've warned you on these many times. Sadly, I'm having to do it again. All they want is easy street. They hate Christ's cross. But easy street is a dead end street. Those who live there make their bellies their gods. Idols, little G. Belches, all their praise. All they can think of is their appetites. Philippians 3 verse 20. But there's far more to life for us. We're citizens of high heaven. We're waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthly bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He'll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be under and around him. Philippians 4, 1 through 9. My dear, dear friends, I love you so much. I do want the very best for you. You make me feel such joy, fill me with such pride. Don't waver, stay on track, steady in God. I urge Euodia and Synthes to iron out their differences and make up. God doesn't want his children holding grudges. I'll read that again. God doesn't want his children holding grudges. Philippians 4, 3. And oh yes, Saigus, since you're right there to help them work things out, do your best with them. These women worked for the message hand in hand with Clement and me and with the other veterans. Worked as hard as any of us. Remember their names are also in the book of life. Celebrate God all day, every day. Say, God, I celebrate you. God, I celebrate you. Philippians 4, 4. Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean revel in him. Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you're on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute. Philippians 4, 6. Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4, 8. Summon it all up, friends. I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious, the best, not the worst, the beautiful, not the ugly, things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you've learned from me, what you've heard and saw and realized. Do that. And God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies. May the Lord add a blessing to the reading and hearing of his word through the message, Bible. Now I will read it in the King James Version. You had the opportunity to hear what is a summary, to break it down, some of the meanings behind what came to the author of the message. But as you read and listen to the King James Version, the Holy Scriptures, that God has spoken down to his people. I want you to hear what God is saying to you as you hear it. As we read the Holy Bible, God speaks to us. Not just the words on the page, and you already have the meaning. That, oh, if I'm confused, can I have a little bit more um illustration? Break it down for me. That's what we just heard. As you hear the word of the Lord, God is going to speak to you. Amen. Philippians 1:1. And it's very important that if you can at any cost, follow along word for word. And if you have a highlighter, I usually have a yellow highlighter, either the yellow color pencil or a highlighter. Highlight as God makes those verses speak out. And if you have that holy Bible in print, um please pick that up and follow along so that you can hear, uh, see even other words on the page as God gives it to you. Amen.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Philippians. Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians. Okay. Philippians 1 1. And thank you all for being with us today. Philippians 1-1.

SPEAKER_05

And I'm gonna forewarn you, I get really moved by the word of the Lord. So if tears come, you just you just ignore it. Amen. Okay, Philippians 1-1. Paul and Timothyas, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus, which are at Philippi with the bishops and deacons. Grace be unto you in peace, and you'll see me highlighting. Grace be unto you in peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine, for you all making requests with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1, verse 6, being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it unto the day of Jesus Christ. Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my bonds, him chained up, locked in jail, and in the defense of confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. For God is my record, how greatly I long after you, all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. In this I pray that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. Philippians 1, verse 10, that ye may approve things that are excellent, that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God. But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happen unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel, so that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace and in all other places. And many of the brethren in the Lord waxing confident by my bonds, by being in jail, they're stronger, and much more bold to speak the word without fear. Philippians 1, verse 15. Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife, and some also out of goodwill. The one preached Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds, but the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel. What then, notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached. And I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice, for I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer in the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:20. According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether in it be by life or by death. For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor. Yet what I shall choose, I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better. One moment, and the pages stick together. Nevertheless, to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. Philippians 1, verse 25. In having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith. When we hear that, nevertheless, it's more needful for you. I encourage us to say, Yes, God, I will do what's more difficult to further the kingdom strength of my fellow laborers in Christ, my brothers and my sisters, the man, woman, boy, and girl next to me. Will you set aside discomfort and go a hundred percent with your call for Christ for the sake of the loved ones around you? Who are my loved ones? Everyone. Amen. Okay, let's keep reading. Philippians 1, verse 26. That your rejoicing may be abundant in Jesus Christ. For me, by coming to you again, only let your conversation, okay, the giving here, not speaking, um, giving also, only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel, and in nothing terrified by your adversaries, which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation and that of God. So you're not afraid when people come against you, you're like, okay, I'm doing God's kingdom. Amen. Kingdom work. Verse Philippians 1:29, for unto you is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake, having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now here to be in here to be in me, that oh, I would love to be with Jesus, but because I love God, I'm doing his work here on earth with praise. Amen. Philippians 2, verse 1. If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being on one accord of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind, let each esteem one esteem other better than themselves. Say, praise God for humility. Philippians 2 verse 4. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2, 6, who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name, Philippians 2.10, that the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Hallelujah. Philippians 2.12. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. It is up to you. Philippians 2.13. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings, Philippians 2.15, that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as light in the world. Holding forth the word of life, that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain. It's not all for nothing. Hallelujah. Yea, and that if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all. For the same cause also do ye joy and rejoice with me. But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timoteus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort when I know your state. Philippians 2, 20. For I have no man like-minded who will naturally care for your state, for all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ. But ye know the proof of him, that as a son with the Father, he hath served me in the gospel. Him, therefore, I hope to send presently, soon, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. He was able to send Timothy because Timothy cared. But we should have great love and concern for one another. A worry-free life doesn't mean a selfish kind of love life. It's that I love greatly and I trust those who I love in God's hands, and I still have care and concern. Amen. Verse 25, Philippians 2, 25. Yet I suppose it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and companion and laborer and fellow soldier, but your messenger and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all and was full of heaviness, because that ye have heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. I send him therefore the more carefully that when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness and hold such in reputation. Verse 30, because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life to supply your lack of service towards me. Philippians 3, verse 1. Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord to write the same things to you. To me, indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision, the busybodies. Verse 3, Philippians 3:3, for we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Though I might also have confidence in the flesh, if any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more. Okay, this is where he goes to his list of accolades. Philippians 3, verse 5. Circumcise the eighth day of the stock of Israel of the tribe of Benjamin in Hebrew of the Hebrews, as touching the law of Pharisee concerning zeal, persecuting the church, touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gained to me, those I counted lost for Christ.

SPEAKER_04

Can you count loss for Christ, the things you think you're standing on? I know all this. Here's my accolades. I know this already. I'm special in this way. That anything that I can brag on, I count it lost for Christ.

SPEAKER_05

I throw the bragging aside and take up the cloak of humility, such that I may know God for real and serve his people lovingly in a humble way, esteeming them more, thinking of them highly than I think of myself. Are you all getting understanding?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_05

Let's keep reading. Verse 8, Philippians 3:8. Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. Philippians 3 10, that I may know him in the power of his resurrection, in the fellowship of his sufferings, be made conformable unto his death. If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead, not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Philippians 4 13. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind. And reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3 15. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded. And if anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule. Let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be followers together of me and mark them which walk, so as ye have had for us an example. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you, even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. Everyone that says, Lord, Lord, as a true Christian, whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. Philippians 3 20. For our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the workings whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 4, verse 1. Are you following along, brothers and sisters? Philippians 4, 1 through 9. Therefore, my brethren, my dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech you, Odeus, and beseech Cynthia's, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I entreat thee also, true yoke fellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers whose names are in the book of life. God is ready to help you, and we should help one another. Helping one another matters to God, and it matters to us. Philippians 4 4. Rejoice in the Lord always. And again I say, rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Philippians 4 6. Be careful for nothing but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things which ye have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do and the God of peace shall be with you. May the Lord add a blessing to the reading and hearing of his holy word. Let us bow our heads. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord God, even before we give the invitation to Christ, we come thanking you, Lord God, for your word. And we seal it with the blood of Jesus. Thank you, Lord God, for loving us. Loving us so much that even as we heard about aphroditis and his service, even willing to help the cause of his life, Lord God, we hear the care, the care for Paul and Timothy and the women and the workers of your kingdom, a longing. Lord God, would you please restore our hearts to be courageous enough to love one another, to humble ourselves, to open up our hearts to have a longing for one another and be moved by fellow workers in Christ.

SPEAKER_04

As people are on our heart, we don't pick up worry, but we also don't throw them out altogether just so we won't be worried.

SPEAKER_05

But Lord God, that we walk in this Christian life. What a wonderful Christian life. That you have so many of us caring for one another, loving for one another. Thank you, God, for your love. Thank you, Lord God, for your kingdom work. Thank you, Lord God, for the fellowship of the saints. Thank you, Lord God, that I know so many, so many who are on my heart, who I love with my whole heart.

SPEAKER_04

And I honestly think that I could do far better in my concern for others. I get wrapped up in my world. And even in my busy life that has so many things to focus on, there's so many that I will love their whole life unconditionally.

SPEAKER_05

And who love me? That's why the enemy works over time to try to think, oh, they said this and they said that and they'll think this, but it's lies. At the end of the day, the thing that is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report, and virtuous and worthy of praise is that God, you love us and we love one another. Bless us, Lord God, to look at your example, your kingdom work, the love of the saints, the pursuit of knowing you with our whole heart.

SPEAKER_04

Forgetting those things which are behind. Bless us with that supernatural spiritual amnesia where the bad stuff goes away and we press toward the mark, where we're not uh resting on all our bragging rights, but we every day humbly look to you and look to one another as higher than ourselves, and that we continue those things that we have both learned and heard and seen, that we do those things that you've shown us.

SPEAKER_05

God, being in your kingdom is beautiful, beautiful, and we ask you, even in this moment, as you prepare more to come into your kingdom, that they would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that their life, oh, they'd be born again, that they would make this decision. That is the best decision that they can ever make. If that's you this morning, if that's you this morning, and we pray this prayer in Jesus Christ, amen. If that's you, and you are ready to become part of a family where there's love, where there's humility, is opposite of everything we've been trained in this generation.

SPEAKER_04

But I want to be a part where someone can love for me with all my bumps and frailties, and yes, I'm I know I'm wrong, I'm not perfect. But is someone willing to love me at my worst? I tell you his name is Jesus and this backup crew of lovers is all the saints ready to love on you because we're brothers and sisters in Christ.

SPEAKER_05

If you're ready to give your life to Christ, please pray this prayer with me.

SPEAKER_02

Repeat after me, dear Lord God, dear Lord God, I know that I'm a sinner, I know that I am a sinner, and I want to be saved, and I want to be saved by your grace, by your grace, please God, please God, save me in Jesus' name, Jesus.

SPEAKER_05

I confess my sins, I confess my sins, and I repent for my sins, and I repent for my sins, I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all, he died on the cross for my sins, and on the third day, he rose again, rose again, I make Jesus, I make Jesus my Lord, my Lord and my Savior, I believe the gospel, the gospel the good news, this day, God, you are my God, you are my God, Mr. Lord, I am born again, I am saved. If you read that prayer, we want to know about it, we want to get you materials if you have questions. Oh, I wasn't ready, but I'm sure I'm drawn to whatever this thing I heard. Please reach out to us and we can find a way to make a um conversation. You can reach out in the message in the comments both, so then when I see the message request, I know it's not anyone trying to spam. Hallelujah. We love you so much.
