In a world that often demands perfection, it is easy to slip into the "filthy land of condemnation," feeling as though our shortcomings keep us from God’s presence. In this episode, we dive deep into the heart of the Father to remind you that you are His beloved child—not because of what you do, but because of who He is. Using the powerful imagery of a parent’s love and the "blocking" power of God's protection, this message explores how to live guilt-free and fully reconciled to the One who knows your frame and loves you anyway.
Key Takeaways:
- The Perfection Myth: Understand that there is nothing you can do to make God love you more or less.
- Living Purified: Discover how holding onto the hope of Christ naturally cleanses our spirit and removes the stress of "falling short."
- God’s Intervention: Reflect on the many ways God has "blocked" destruction in your life to preserve you for the work He has ahead.
- Abiding in the Vine: Learn the secret to a fruitful life through simple, consistent communion with Jesus.
Featured Scriptures:
- John 3:16: The ultimate foundation of sacrificial love.
- 1 John 3:1-3: Our identity as the "beloved" children of God.
- Psalm 103: The benefits of God’s mercy and kindness.
- John 15:4-10: The necessity of abiding in Christ to bear fruit.

But don't go wrong with that desire into the land, filthy land of condemnation. God comes to remind us this morning. Stay in the right, purified land. Know that I love you. Know that you're my beloved sons and daughters. Know that you're a child of God and you have this hope that one day you're going to be as he is. And loving God and knowing that he loves you, that indeed is the answer. And if you believe it, say amen.
SPEAKER_02Welcome. Come on in. Come on in. Welcome to the Hundredfold Podcast, an extension of Hundredfold Ministry with Pastor Vanessa Holland, where we seek to deepen our relationship with the Lord as we study his word and worship. Have you ever felt like you had to hide the messy parts of your life to be acceptable to God? Today, we're breaking down the lie that you need to be perfect to be loved. Join us as we explore the overwhelming, block it-all kind of love that meets you exactly where you are. Here's Pastor Vanessa.
SPEAKER_01Amen, amen. Let us bow our heads. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord God, we love you. We bless you. We thank you. We worship you. There's a great word from you, Lord God. Every time you meet us here, we do not take it for granted. Lord God, please bless our heart and our mind and our soul to receive it. We speak against every blockage. Lord God, we exalt you, Lord God, that you are King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and we submit our lives to your rule. Ruling, Lord God, to your word. Please bless us to hear and receive everything you have for us. Please speak, Lord God. Please hide me behind the cross, move me out the way and into your perfect will and way. Use everything that you have given us, Lord God. Our ears to listen, our intellect to understand, our mouth to say amen and yes and agree with our body, our soul, Lord God. Let it be used to work with your word that we might be excellent hearers and that it would fall on good ground. Excellent ground and bring forth a hundredfold and more. God, we love you. Thank you for loving us. Please speak to us this morning, and we already thank you for what you've prepared in Jesus' name. And everybody said, Amen. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Oh, this morning there's a word from the Lord. We're going to start with our first verse. Turn with me, if you will, to John 3.16. This is Jesus speaking. And it's the midst of the explanation of why we need to be born again. And John 3.16 says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. May the Lord add a blessing to the reading and hearing of his holy word. I wanted to read it together so that you could hear the repetition. But sometimes people are like, oh, I don't like them. People repeat the same thing over and over again. But God himself repeats the same thing over and over again because he knows that we forget and we need to hear it. This morning, God is saying, remind them that I love them, that God loves you. Say it with me. Say, God loves me. Say it again. Say, God loves me.
SPEAKER_02God loves me.
SPEAKER_01And say it one more time. Say, God loves me.
SPEAKER_02God loves me.
SPEAKER_01Do you receive it? Do you believe it for the whole rest of the time? That is the message that God loves you. He says, somehow the enemy has snuck you in one more time and made you feel like God doesn't love me. And you say, oh no, no, no, no, no. I know God loves me. When you come into his presence, are you running to his presence guilt-free? Or are you thinking about, oh, what I didn't do and I could have done? And Lord, I'm sorry. And God's like, I am celebrating you. Why pick up the shame of the sin and be stuck with, oh, I'm not reaching the mark when Jesus paid the price on the cross? God says, I paid such a cost. I loved you so much that I gave my only son that I want every single man, woman, boy, and girl that has been redeemed. I want you living in the joy of the Lord because I paid the price for it. Are you willing to receive that this morning? To be in true fellowship with God with His love overflowing and us loving Him. It's such a sweet spot. When we love God and we know that He loves us and we want nothing more to just abide with Him. What a joy. And that's what God wants to remind us of this morning. That's the whole of the message. The rest we're just hearing God, God tell us over and over again. Are we ready to hear how God loves us? Amen. Let us turn to our next scripture, 1 John 3. We're gonna read verse 1 through 3. And when you have it, say Amen. If you have your holy Bibles, if you do not have a Holy Bible, a print Bible, you should always get one. Amen. First John one through three. Chapter 1, 1 through 3. Oh, maybe it's chapter 3. I'm sorry about that. Hold on, just give me a second. Praise the Lord in our imperfections and our weaknesses He's made strong. Amen. Amen. So I apologize for that. It's first John 3, 1 through 3. Okay, when you have it, say amen. Okay, 1 John 3 1 through 3. It says, Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God. Therefore, the world knoweth us not because it knew him not. Beloved, those who are loved, that's us. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when we should appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Isn't that hope that even uh our dear sister Elizabeth was explaining that when we get to heaven, there'll be no tears and no aches and pains, we'll just be rejoicing, glory, hallelujah, and we shall be as he is. Verse 3, John, verse John 3, verse 3, and every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself even as he is pure. When we know that God loves us, that we are his children, and that as his children we will one day be as he is in every day that we live and say, God make me more like you and clean me up and take away things that's not like you. And my hope is I'm getting closer and closer to being like you are, being Christ like, and one day I'll see you face to face. When we have this hope, you all we are purified. We're more clean. When we do not have this hope, oh, I'm not beloved, I'm not really one of his children. I've fallen short. Oh, am I pleasing? Oh God, am I disappointing? You uh so stressful and no one knows and no one sees. We get filthy, we get distracted. No one says, Hey, I want to be dirty today. No, we want to be right, Lord. I want to be right. That song create in me a right spirit. I said, I want to be right, I want to be holy, oh make me right.
SPEAKER_00I want to be safe. Oh, oh, make me right.
SPEAKER_01We have a desire to please God and be right because He's put it in us, but don't go wrong with that desire into the land, filthy land of condemnation. God comes to remind us this morning. Stay in the right, purified lane. Know that I love you, know that you're my beloved sons and daughters, know that you're a child of God and you have this hope that one day you're going to be as he is. And loving God and knowing that he loves you, that indeed is the answer. And if you believe it, say amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Turn with me. We're still in John, 1 John 3, verse um, chapter 3. We're gonna go down to verse 16. I love that these great love scriptures are verse uh Saint John 3.16 and 1 John 3.16, they match up so well. 1 John 3.16 says this, hereby perceive, okay, when you know something, perceive it. I account it to be so, I've come into the knowledge of. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. If you have any doubt about it, the Bible confirms from beginning to the end that God is one, three and one, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost. So, yes, he laid down his life for us. And because he did so, we know that he loves us. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, we perceive the love of God, and that same love causes us to love one another, to lay our life down for one another. One of the greatest examples of love in my life is being a mother. Ooh, I love my children of one way down and the other. Before I had children, I was like, oh, these parents that spoil their children, they're not doing good for them. You got better to say no all the time. And let me tell you, time comes on, and you're like, how am I letting these beautiful little ones get away with so much? As they pull on your heartstring, and before you know it, you're shelling out more dollars than you ever think you would. You're staying up later than you ever think you did. They're on your heartstrings. There's there's something special about when a parent loves a child. I was thinking about that this uh week because growing up, growing up, I've always wrestled with wanting my place to be more clean than what it is. And I had noticed when I was talking to one of my children that they didn't want me to see, uh, because we were on a FaceTime or you know, a video call, they didn't want me to see the background, the background of their room probably they thought I wasn't clean enough or something like that. Immediately I was like, oh no, this is not going on because I had a history, you all.
