In this powerful message on spiritual warfare, we explore what it truly means to fight the "good fight of faith". Though we often find ourselves "wrestling" through the ups and downs of life, we do so from a position of victory already won through the blood of Jesus.

This episode breaks down the essential tools for every believer:

  • The Full Armor of God: Understanding how to practically apply truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation to withstand spiritual opposition.
  • The Power of the Tongue: Discovering why death and life are in the power of what we speak and how to stop rehearsing problems to start speaking life.
  • The Weapon of Prayer: Learning to pray boldly and out loud, not just for ourselves, but for all the saints.

Join us as we learn to stop murmuring and start using the "sword of the Spirit" to reclaim our peace and purpose.

When we're in those times where it's like, oh, I feel like life is just taking me and I'm in the wash machine going around, I don't know which way is up or down. That's what wrestling is. That doesn't mean you're failing. That means that you are working the mighty work in the kingdom of God. But no matter how many steps backwards, I'm not giving up because I know I'm in the winning match. I'm on the winning team. Jesus, the blood of Jesus has already caused me to win, and I am wrestling.

Welcome. Come on in. Come on in. Welcome to the Hundredfold Podcast, an extension of Hundredfold Ministry with Pastor Vanessa Holland, where we seek to deepen our relationship with the Lord as we study his word and worship. Life can often feel like a constant struggle, but as believers, we fight from a position of victory. Today, we're diving into Ephesians chapter 6 to learn how to dress for the battle, master the power of our words, and stand firm in the strength of the Lord. Let's join Pastor Vanessa as she leads us through the scriptures.

SPEAKER_04

Amen, amen, amen. Hallelujah. Let us go before the Lord in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord God, we love you, we bless you, we worship you. You indeed have a word for your people, Lord God. Please infuse us with your Holy Ghost power, even as listeners, Lord God. For me as the speaker, move me out the way and into your perfect will and way, Lord God, and bless all of our heart, our mind, our soul, our being, our will, our intellect, Lord God, our lack of intellect. Let it work together for us to hear your word and be empowered on high, Lord God. We love you. Please forgive us for our sins. We honor you, Lord God. You are amazing. We adore you. We worship you. We come to you in the name of Jesus, saying, please speak, Lord. Speak, Lord, is only you can. We humble ourselves before your mighty presence and we receive the word with gladness. And we receive and ask in Jesus' name. Let it birth a hundredfold fruit and more. Let it fall on good ground, good soil. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. There is a word today. There's a word today, and it is about spiritual warfare and the fight that we are in. I want you all to know that we are fighting a good fight of faith. Sometimes it may seem like, oh, we're up, we're down, what's going on, but we're wrestling in the spirit, and sometimes that's what it looks like. So I want you to be encouraged this day to go on in the name of Jesus, knowing that we have victory and hope in the Lord, and our weapons are mighty, and we have already won in Christ. So don't come thinking, oh, I'm the underdog, and oh, nothing's going my way. So much is going your way, even when it doesn't look like it. Because we are in the kingdom business, and this war that we're in has already been won by the blood of Jesus.

SPEAKER_03

Amen.

SPEAKER_04

Amen. Amen. But let's not take my word for it. Let's get in the word of God. You can take my word for it, and let's back it up with the word of God because his word is true. We live by the word of God. God is real, his word is truth. Word is true and truth. And it's the word we can stand on. God is unmovable, unshakable. He always is, always was, and always will be. And praise the Lord, we're on his side. Amen. So let's look at that first scripture, Ephesians 6, 1 through 20. And when you have it, say amen. We're trying to get down to those, uh, to that 12th verse, but we're gonna start with a little background first. Amen to see you in context. Okay, so it says, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. So we're establishing things that, oh, this is good and well to do. This is the way to live by. Ephesians 6, verse 2 honor thy father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Okay, so we're not making our children angry. We're both loving, nice, kind and correction. Say kindness and correction.

SPEAKER_01

Kindness and correction.

SPEAKER_04

Verse 5, Ephesians 6, 5. Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling and singleness of heart as unto Christ. Not with eye service as men pleasers, but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart. So when we serve these earthly masters, whether it's your boss, your husband, your wife, you name it, we know that we submit to a whole bunch of people. That when we're doing it, we're doing it as unto the Lord. Amen. Verse 7, Ephesians 6, 7, with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men. So is my studies, if I'm networking, if I'm being friendly, if I'm walking, I'm never losing sight that I represent the Lord and I'm living as unto the Lord. Ephesians 6, verse 8. Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. You mean we reap what we sow? Yes, we do. Always on your face, happy every day. I'll tell you, I go through many a sad times, but happiness will find me every single day throughout the day, because I serve God who is good. And he says, I put out goodness, I receive goodness, and I do it as unto the Lord. Amen. Ephesians 6 9, and ye masters do the same things unto them, forbearing, threatening, knowing that your master also is in heaven, neither is their respective persons with him. So we don't want to go on a power trip and be mean, but know that we answer to God and those that answer to us we're treating with kindness. Amen. Then we get to where we're aiming today. Ephesians 6, verse 10. Finally, when we put stuff at the end and we're making a speech, we want to have the most important things, and so we put a finally in conclusion where we're trying to get to. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. When we say, Oh, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, we have power and we are to be strong. There are times that we're weak and frail, and God's strength is made perfect in our weakness, but we cannot stay there. You do not stay in the mindset that I am so weak because we are strong in the power of the Lord. You have a strength, and you know, we that are Christians, we know this. We have to be reminded when our eye gets to the things looking on bad things, doing bad stuff, that we it can get hazy. Like when I was trying to read those words and the little tiny words, it's a little fuzzy. But then we get to the chorus of life. Where, oh wait, this is the part I know. I can sing it out. Victory is mine, victory is mine, victory today is mine. We get to that part you know that you know, and God is saying, Rise up, be strong in the Lord, in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. I'm here to remind you this day that when we fight, we are fighting more against the things that are not seen than the things that are seen. That the devil and the demons is real and spiritual oppression is very real, and you have to fight against it with knowledge. It's not enough to say, oh, well, if it's there, okay, God just take care of it. I don't want to pay attention to such things. No. Can you imagine a warrior running down the field ready to fight the battle and say, well, if people are there, that's fine, but I'm just gonna shoot my gun anyway, and I'm just gonna swing, swing. If someone's coming at me, I guess this knife or get it. No, you fight with intention, you run this race with intention. And in order to do that, you have to use those mighty weapons, the full armor. Let's read about what it is. Verse 12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God. We're gonna get into what the armor of God is. But did you hear the why? Did you hear why we need it? Because we wrestle. Who do we wrestle against? Those principalities, those powers, that is the devil's kingdom that has assignment that when fear is in the land, things are worse. And you know that you know it from inside. You can feel that, oh, look, when revival's in the land and people are at peace, people are kind to each other, and when fear and evil and deception and and um laws getting written against people and people getting snatched out of their home and wars and rumors of wars, you can feel that even the neighbor has a side eye against the neighbor. And we have to stand and we have to plead the blood of Jesus and fight and use our spiritual weapons. Say, God, strengthen me during this time. I plead the blood of Jesus over my family, over my space, that the oppression that's all in the land shall not harm us. I know that I'm wrestling. Why do you have to know that you're wrestling? Oftentimes when we hear, oh, we wrestle Nada, we're fighting we picture maybe a tug of war going back and forth, but that's not wrestling. When you see a wrestling match at one point, one guy's or one girl's on top of the other, a foot may be up in the air. When we're in those times where it's like, oh, I feel like life is just taking me and I'm in the washing machine going around, I don't know which way is up or down. That's what wrestling is. That doesn't mean you're failing. That means that you are working the mighty work in the kingdom of God, that no matter how many steps backwards, I'm not giving up because I know I'm in the winning match. I'm on the winning team. Jesus, the blood of Jesus has already caused me to win, and I am wrestling. Yes, I may feel down one moment, confused one moment, but I am going to get up because I'm wrestling against powers and principalities. I'm God's allowing things to come through there to get to me, not to get me down, but so that I will use the weapons of my warfare. That those trials that work of faith and patience and goodness and virtue, that I already know victory is mine, and I will stand and I will use those mighty weapons, and I will have on the full armor of God. What full armor of God? Let's turn to verse 13 again. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Ephesians 6 14. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth. That means I can't go around lying and listening to lies and thinking I'll be strong. Oh, the world is so bad. Oh, there's no hope for us. Lies. The truth is I have the victory. That Jesus died on the cross were my sins, and that I'm covered by the blood of Jesus, and that God loves me, and that victory is mine, and there is victory in the Lord. That the truth, that if I did something wrong, I say, hey, I did wrong. I'm not gonna ease it up and oh, there was a reason here and there, and no, I did it. Oh, I took 10 coins, but I'm just gonna say I took five. No, be truthful and have the truth. The word of God is truth. Be in this word, this word, this holy Bible. Live in it, breathe in it. And having on the breast a plate of righteousness. If someone's not going for your head, they're gonna go for your heart. That if I can get that arrow straight to the heart, they'll bleed out because the heart pumps everything. From the heart, blood, all the blood, the blood vessels that go throughout your whole body, it comes back through the heart. That's why the devil tries to attack your righteousness. If I can get him to sin, if I can get her to sin, all the condemnation itself will cut off that bloodline. God has not left you, but your guilt makes you try to run from the Lord. But Jesus says, Not so. I've conquered sin, death, and shame. There is therefore now no condemnation. And so walk in your holiness, walk in righteousness, walk according to the word of God and protect your heart therein. That's the breastplate of righteousness. No, I will not compromise. No, I will not get you to make me sin against God who I love more than anybody and everything. I will live in righteousness and be protected. Verse 15, Ephesians 6:15, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Can you imagine going into war with no shoes? Just barefoot. You fall just stepping on a stone. That's too hard. When you're walking in mud, you don't have the right shoes. You have flimsy shoes, say flip-flops, you're gonna slide all over the place. You got shoes with no uh shoe strings on, that shoe gets stuck in the mud. You you going walking, and that shoe just left behind. You want to stand on sturdy ground. You need the gospel of peace. The good news, the word of God that comes forth with peace. That when someone sees me coming walking their way, they know, guess what? I'm not gonna run away. I'm gonna run to that person because not only is she bringing the good news of Jesus Christ Almighty, she's doing it with love and peace and kindness, and I can find Jesus there. I've got problems, but she ain't gonna lead with the problems that I have. I've got issues, but she ain't gonna point out all my issues. She's gonna point me back to God Almighty, and He has peace in my resting world as tops eternity up and down. If I can get to somebody who will give me the gospel of peace.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, hallelujah. Thank you, God.

SPEAKER_04

And above all, Ephesians 6, 10, 6, 16, above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked and the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Above all, we have to have our shield of faith, our helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit. By faith, we believe that Jesus is who he says he is, that he's Jesus who died on the cross for our sins, that he's God Almighty come in the flesh, born of a virgin Mary. That's how you know it's the same spirit. Oh, how will we know there are so many people talking? Do they say Jesus is who he says he is? That he is God Almighty, not just a good prophet or a good man? Does he say he died on the cross and rose again? Now that, oh, it was an honorable death, but then was never raised. Those are the lies that try to seep in. But oh, if you have that faith that I believe God and I believe his son Jesus, and I believe the power of the Holy Ghost, then with my mouth, confession is made to salvation, and I have that helmet of salvation. Because if you don't have the helmet, what's quicker than shooting the heart is shooting the brain. If one shot gets to the head and hits that brain, people die in a second. Without your brain, you cannot live. There is no life if you have not been saved. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, everything is meaningless. Did I study? No, I did not. You must speak to the Lord. You have the helmet of salvation. You have the shield of faith. And I believe you, God. I believe you that belief have saved my soul with the mouth, confessions, with the heart made believers unto righteousness, with the mouth confessions made to salvation. And you have the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Why does hundredfold misery send so much time in the word? Because it is with that sword we fight. We take the offensive, we fight the devil off. When he comes at you with anything and everything, turn to the word. Aren't you a living witness that when things are rough, it's so hard to get to the word. That's because you have real devils and demons fighting you that oh, don't let them get to it because all the victory. But when we grab that word, and sometimes you all, I cannot even get grab the word. It's little cards. I have little cards or little bread, uh, the word bread a lot. I got these little note cards, or I've got these uh four by six cards about this size with scriptures. You get that word in you until you can get to where you're reading full chapters. God is saying, I've equipped you. You're in a battle, you've already won. Use these weapons, put on your armor. Put on your armor. Put on your armor. Put on your armor. I'm staying here on purpose. Put on your armor. Will you do it? Will you obey? And it doesn't just stop there. That will keep. That will keep you so solid. But we never stop selfishly with ourselves. Keep reading Ephesians 6 18. It says, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. That we don't just stick to ourselves, we pray for others. You pray, make sure you're praying for yourself. You ask for things. A trend, such a oh, this seems so holy, ghost, and pious. Lord God, I just want to thank you today. I love you so much. I'm not asking for anything, just thanking you. That sounds wonderful, but it's against the word of God. There's a reason Jesus said, asking it shall be given, seeking you shall find, knocking, the door shall be open. For whoever asks, receives, whoever knocks, uh, whoever seeks, finds, whoever knocks, the door shall be open. He says, Ask and keep asking. Because when we ask of God, our faith is built up. We see the mighty powerful works of the Lord. Yes, God is good, and I know He's faithful, but when you've asked Him for something that you know He really wants and He does that thing, it increases our faith. We exercise our faith. More importantly, the kingdom business of God is done when we ask for things. Do not dare go a day without asking your Heavenly Father for what He has for you. Lord God, please let your will be done on this earth. Heal, save, deliver, not just for yourself, but what does it say for all saints? Verse 19, Ephesians 6:19, and for me that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly. When we talk about prayer, it takes aloud, out loud praying and praising, not just in your mind. Oh well, I'm so fervent in my mind. No, death and life is in the power of the tongue, and we'll get to that. You have to speak your prayers out loud. You have to pray for others out loud. Watch over the saints. If you go back to 18, it says, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. And it says, and for me that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel for which I am an ambassador in bonds, that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak. There's the riders in chains in prison, writing all these letters to the churches, and locked up, you all. How much courage it takes when we're free. But do you know that there are shackles and chains that cannot be seen? And the saints are being attacked. And God is saying, pray for yourself, but pray for one another. Watch. Be careful to watch over your brother, your sister, your neighbor, your friend. Don't be so selfish in your mind. That doesn't mean, oh, I'm so selfish, same as me. Say, oh, if I'm being selfish, I know I'm under spiritual attack. I'm not ignorant. If you're feeling bad 99.9% of the time, it's demonic attack. If you don't get nothing else, that will give you victory. Oh, I don't know why I was feeling this way, and oh, it's this, it's that, it's hormones, it's changes, it's the devil. Stand up and fight against the devil and get your eye on God. Watch what you're saying, watch what you're speaking. Because death in life is in the power of the tongue. Turn with me to Proverbs 1821. Say, I'm in a battle and I win.

SPEAKER_00

I'm in a battle and I win.

SPEAKER_04

Amen. Amen. Proverbs 1821. I want you to look at what I've been saying in black and white. Proverbs 1821 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue. And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Do you understand what you're saying? It's saying that what you speak, you can either receive life or death with your words. What you speak, what you think, what you speak, is a it's creating a tree that you're eating the fruit of. If you plant an apple tree, you're gonna eat some apples. You plant an orange tree, you're gonna eat some orange. A lemon tree, you're gonna eat some lemons. If you create a tree of life with the words that you speak, you're going to receive life. If you create a tree of death with the words that you speak, it's gonna be a tree of death. It is no um, it's not without knowledge that the enemy attacks to make you speak about your problems over and over again. If I can just get them speaking the wrong way. Oh, I feel so bad, and they did this, and I do want to be good, and let me get this off my chest. The more like there is, we have to face our problems. Um, face it, accept it, give it to God. God, this hurt me, heal it. But we do not rehearse over and over again, and we definitely do not speak lies, condemnation, isolation, rejection. What we speak, we speak life. When you are on this battle, that oh, I know that guess what, I'm feeling bad. I'm not gonna focus on the focus on the problem. I'm getting my eyes on God, and my words are going to speak life, going to speak truth, going to speak the word of God, and by it, you all, we win. Get your words right. Just start speaking the word of God. It is life. Turn with me to Philippians chapter two, verse 14. Knowing that words are life and death. Philippians 2.14. That is why God instructs us. Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, amen. I get it in my little Bible. God instructs us in Philippians 2.14, he says, Do all things without murmuring and disputing, without grumbling, without complaining, without fighting. It's important. It's important. Well, I'm just teasing, I'm just playing, I'm letting off some steam. But you all, it changes the heart. I'm a living witness that my words start going the wrong way, and the very things I loved, all of a sudden I've got an embitterness to it. I was like, Lord, this is not even me, but it was my words, and my words tried to change who I was. So when you do something, say, I love doing it. I like, I like doing the dishes, I like picking up after the kids. Hallelujah. I love serving God, I love living holy, I love having self-control. Speak it. Don't be, oh, I wish I was this, I'm being good, but who if I could back in my day, if you knew who I used to be, oh, I would have told them. No, speak life, work without mumbling, complaining, fighting, disputing. Because we know Jesus, our ultimate example. He came to this world and he spoke life. Turn with me to John 663, and when you have it, say amen. John six sixty-three says this. And this is Jesus speaking. It is the spirit that quickeneth, okay, makes you alive. It is the spirit that quickeneth. The flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. The Holy Spirit, there's one Holy Spirit, is the same spirit. The Holy Spirit that is the gift to us is the same spirit in all of us. It's not all a billion different spirits. No, that you're saved and born again. God is God three in one: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. The Spirit makes us alive. And when Jesus spoke, He spoke that spirit, and He spoke life to us. How much more so? Because He said greater things. When he was going up to heaven, he said, You're gonna do greater things, greater things than this will you do? That when we speak, we shall be speaking life. That will you use your words to speak life to your own self, your own soul, your own spirit, and will you use your words to speak life to everyone you encounter? Speak life, say I will speak life, I will speak life. Say I'm a I'm in a war, I'm in a war, I've already won, and I will speak life, and I will speak life. We've already won. But sometimes it doesn't feel like it, does it? Sometimes we feel down, then we talk about that resting up and down, up and down. Yes. So when you feel in the throes, you're like, well, what do I do when I'm in the throes of it? Turn with me to James chapter 4. Starting at verse 6. James 4, 6, when you have it say, the devil has to go.

SPEAKER_01

The devil has to go.

SPEAKER_04

Amen. Hebrews James in the back. Okay. James chapter 4, verse 6 to 10. And it says this. But he who? God, okay? Because he's God. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Grace means that you are um given supernatural power to do things you cannot do. Grace is that, oh, I'm giving you favor. Grace, I'm not giving you the punishment you deserve. You we have empowerment in life because the grace that God has given us. But he says, He resisted the proud. So if I'm in the throes of it and I feel so overwhelmed, and oh, so harmed, so this, how much of that is pride? If I want to get quickly to victory land, I've got to throw that pride away and walk in humility. Verse 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:8, draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. Be afflicted and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heavenness. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. That if you bow down before the Lord, if you submit God, yes, your will, your way, I'm turned against those evil ways, and I'm living according to your will and God, whatever you say, God gives you more grace. And when you resist the devil, read it again in verse 6, verse 7, it says, Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. When you stand and resist the devil, he has to go.

unknown

That's right.

SPEAKER_04

Everybody say the devil must go.

SPEAKER_00

The devil must go.

SPEAKER_04

He will go. God's word is true. I'm here to encourage you. I don't care what you're going through, I don't care how hard it is, how how rough it seems, that the devil cannot stay. That as you submit yourself to God, you humble yourself before him and run to him. As you delight yourself in God and say, God, please help me, Jesus. Help me, God. If you can't pray any, you don't have a thousand words to pray, say, help me, Jesus. Help me, God, in Jesus' name, help me, Lord. Oh, the devil has to flee. That every single time I have a great victory in life. Do you know it begins with prayer and fasting? When I pray and fast at the beginning, I don't want to pray, and the devil try to work a mind game on you. Well, you don't have to really fast. You know, you've done enough. But do you know? And I'm like, God, why does it always have to be fasting? Because we are in warfare. Jesus just told us the flesh is of no profit. So we have to kill the flesh. We have to make it submit to God. We have to say, Oh, you're not having food today because in that ache and pain, and I just want to eat, but I'm doing everything to the Lord. It says, appetite, you must submit to God. And when that food appetite submits to God, which is such a strong, powerful force, God in his great mercy causes those other appetites to submit to God, too. That oh, I'm disciplined in what I say and what I speak and what I see and what I watch and how I treat people. If you're willing to pray and fast to get in alignment with what God has for you, I want you to raise your hand. Glory to God. We're going, look, we're gonna finish the word and I'm gonna say a prayer real quick. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord God, even now, as those who have said they're willing to pray and fast, I ask that you miraculously bless their praying and fasting. So that the flesh is crucified and they walk into the victory call for their life, that they see a miracle in you like they've never seen before, and that the heart things become easy. Thank you, God. Thank you for changing our life for the better, even in this moment. Amen. Let's keep reading. Knowing that we have this confidence that the devil must flee. We have to be constantly in knowledge of our weapons. Turn with me to 2 Corinthians 10, 4 through 5. When you have it, say amen. 2 Corinthians 10, 4 through 5. It says, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. They're not of the flesh. The flesh profiteth nothing. Okay. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. I'm going to read verse 6 also. And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. You all obedience is so powerful. So powerful. When you are wrestling against whatever you are, whatever the attack is of the enemy, it is such a temptation to go through it carnally. She told me off, I'm gonna toil her off. They betrayed me. I want to just cry and have her feelings. That's not how you fight in the spirit. That's rarely ever that. Oh, here is the object, and to win it, all my attention goes onto that object. No, here's an object, here's a suffering of trial, my attention goes to God. Oh, problem ABC, the answer is God. Problem ZEF, the answer is God. The solution is always the same. God, I run to you because my weapons, they're not in what I can see, but in the things I do not see. And I am going to have these weapons ready. The shield of faith, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, praying for all things. I'm going to have these weapons ready, my feet shy with the preparation of the gospel, okay? The breastplate of righteousness. I'm going to have these weapons ready, praying, seeking, praising, worshiping, submitting to God, I'm going to have them ready and sharpened with obedience. That as I obey God, every single fight I fight is going to be stronger. Not in a legalistic, oh, I'm so good, I'm so perfect. No. In submitting that, oh, it's only by your grace I am saved. These actions profit me nothing when it comes to salvation, but it profits me everything in the warfare of the Lord that I am strengthened and I am stronger when obedience is to God and sin does not weigh me down. Are you all understanding?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

Because we are in an evil world. Turn with me to Romans 12 21. We are in the evil world, but that world does not overtake us. Good still wins out over evil. One moment, my lovely dog. Shout out to Isaac the dog. Romans 12, 21 says this be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. You all, we have to be in the business of being good, of fighting the good faith. We can't have the evil ones talking all about the evil of the world and the good ones too. We are not on their side. We're the ones that say, hey, good news, good news of Jesus. Listen, I have faith unless I believe to see the goodness of the Lord and the land of the living. Romans is uh at right immediately after the Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans. Amen. Romans 12, I've told many people, 1221, to memorize Romans 12 if you can. It's such an awesome chapter. Turn with me to 1 Timothy chapter 6 verse 12. I said good news, good walk, good faith. When you have 1 Timothy, chapter 6, verse 12. Say the good fight.

SPEAKER_02

The good fight.

SPEAKER_04

First Timothy six verse 12 says this. Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life. Whereunto thou art also called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. You all, this is a good fight that we're in. It's hard. Anything hard, the enemy wants to get you to say those words. Is it worth it? Was it all is this even worth it? I just want to be done. But it is worth it. It's a good thing. The wrestling, even when it's like, but I don't even feel like my life is outside of myself. I'm just in my house. I'm hardly speaking to people. That's how the whole nation is. Social media has made people so unsocial. Amen. And when you throw the epidemic, pandemic on that, and then the wars, people are to themselves. But the individual fight that you do every day when the enemy comes against you and you're, Lord God, help me to think right, say right, lift me up, let me not be oppressed, depressed, that is a good fight. And when you fight the good fight of faith, your life is going to come outside of yourself. Reach others. You have to know that what you do now, what you do now, is paving the way for you ministering later. That the words that God gives me are words that He planted inside me 30 some plus years ago. Are you all understanding? God says, fight this good fight of faith right now. Put my word in you right now. Memorize right now. Hold on to me right now. Fight the good fight of faith and lay hold of eternal life. Didn't we say earlier that if you are not saved, it is worth nothing. I really want you all to get that. That salvation is key. That God made us, the God who made us, knows us, loves us. He knows the pain and the ache of this world. And he says, I sent you a savior. And his name is Jesus. He died on the cross for your sins. And on the third day he rose again. And if you accept him as your Lord, Lord is the ruler of your life and your savior, mean that this blood that he shed is an atonement, a payment, that we celebrate communion. That if you receive this blood personally, nobody can do it for you. And you say, God, please live in me. I want to be saved. That God says he will save you. Jesus says, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If you let me come in, if you harden not your heart, if you don't put, don't make your ears deaf, but you open your heart and you listen and you say, Please come in.

SPEAKER_03

He will save you.

SPEAKER_04

This is the great call that we're called to. It says, Wherefore unto thou art also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses. The moment you're saved and you say, Yes, I want to tell the world because the moment you're saved to baptize, you need to tell tons of people because the enemy's gonna be like you didn't do anything, and like, yes, I did, and I've told people all about it. That profession, that witness. You keep telling people that you're saved. If you feel I haven't told anybody, then start telling people. Because that's what we're called to. We're called to run this race to win it. Not just, oh, let me barely make it. No, I'm fighting this warfare fight with fervency, winning the prize. Isn't that what the word says? Yes, this good fight, this good race. Turn with me to Hebrews 12, verses 1 and 2. When you have it say, I'm winning the race, amen. Amen. Hebrews 12, 1 and 2 says this. Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, that means all the people you know who saved, all the people you don't know, all the people who have been saved before you, all the salvation saints of God in the Bible, wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight in the sin which does so easily beset us. Lay it aside, stop sinning, it's mud to your feet, it weighs you down and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Oh, Minister Daniel did a word and a half, hallelujah, last week, as it's like when we want to just be out of that thing and out of the arc. But sometimes you have to have patience all the time. You have to have patience. Keep running, keep fighting. No matter how long it seems like you're wrestling. Well, I had a victory moment. Can I just stay in victory? No, this is a fight, a wrestling fight. You are in victory, it just doesn't feel like it. Fight the good fight of faith and do it with obedience to God. Wherefore, lay aside every sin, every weight that just easily beset us, put us off the mark. We're winning this race. Turn with me to 1 Corinthians 9, 24 through 27. And when you have it, say I'm winning the race.

SPEAKER_00

I am winning the race.

SPEAKER_04

You all are fast, praise the Lord. 1 Corinthians 9, 24 through 27. 9, 24 through 27. It says this know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize. So run that ye may obtain. That means run that you're gonna be first. I'm gonna be the most humble, I'm gonna be the most mighty, I'm gonna be the most loving, I'm gonna be the most forgiving, I'm gonna be the most witnessing telling everybody by Jesus. I am going to win this prize. I don't care how many times I'm crying at night and confused and getting hold of my emotions. Why do I have to feel this way? I'm still gonna wake up praising the Lord because I'm waiting as to win the prize. Hallelujah!

SPEAKER_01

Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_04

Know ye not that they which run in the race run all, but one receive the prize. So run that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate. This first Corinthians 9 25 is temperate in all things. Has self-control in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, you know, whatever you won first prize. I'm sure you don't have your blue ribbon from third grade still, okay? But we do in an incorruptible, one that never goes away. Amen. One that never perishes. Verse 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly, so fight I, not as the one that beateth the air. But I keep under my body and bring it unto subjection, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a gastaway. Beateth the air. That means that if you're in a fight, if you see someone boxing, they have their boxing gloves on, they're looking at their opponents, and they are fighting them, blocking their punches and hitting them till the battle is won. What they're not doing is closing their eyes. Oh, I hope I hit something like we talked before. Oh, if I'm in, if the demon's out there, Lord, you just take care of it because I don't want to face it. No. We are deliberate and intentional in our warfare because we're nowhere in a battle and we're winning the race to win the prize, and we're doing it with self-control. Let me break down what this verse is saying. When you look at 35, it says, and every man that strives for the mastery, this is 1 Corinthians 9 25, and every man that strive for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorrect corruptible. That means that when you see someone winning a race, they're fighting the prize, going, Oh, I've got to do the Olympics, I've got to do a marathon, I've a competition, they are having their body in subjection. I'm only gonna eat certain things, I'm gonna work out this way, I can't have that till after the competition, because they have to win that prize. They are bringing their body into subjection to make their physical fitness right to win that earthly corruptible prize. And what the Bible is telling us is that we must do the same thing, but our prize is not perishable. The eternal life prize still takes discipline in all things. That I have to eat right, I have to have my body right, I have to think right, I can't have everything going in through my brain. I can't look at everything that's bad and listen to everything that's bad and eat everything that's bad and think that I will win the prize. And verse 20 says, But I keep my body, you all, this body houses us. Don't let the enemy fit talk you into oh, it's just superficial, doesn't work. Because you know that when you get on, when your body is getting healthy and you're strong, the devil tries to keep on. Oh, don't take all that out. You caring more about the outside than the inside. God says the outside is important because we have to live here. You must take care of your body, you must have self-control. We must pray and fast so that we might win this race. Because so many times. What we don't want in verse 27, where it says, but I keep my under my body and bring it into suggestion, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. So many times. God's precious saints that we're supposed to be praying for, the preachers and the teachers, those that are carrying the gospel. And they have not been strengthened and built up by prayer, and they've been on the front line taking hits. There's nothing left at the end of the day. So often they'll turn to food, turn to um unprofitable things because there's nothing left. But we warriors who's on the front line, we must keep our body into subjection. And we, all of us, all of us, need to be praying for those who work the gospel, especially on a large scale. What do I mean by that? That means that if you're listening, if I'm listening all these years and I'm encouraged by Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary and I'm T.D. Jakes or whoever it may be that I've listened to, Donnie McClurkin, you name it, you know, Juanita Biden, whoever you may have listened to over and over, Priscilla Shire, all these names, the very least I can do is pray for them. And if I see them going through something, I'm not gonna be like, oh my, and they say they're a Christian, oh, their life's so messy. God forbid, they poured into your life. You listen to them, you're encouraged by them, you pray for them as if your life depended on it, because their life does. Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Amen.

SPEAKER_04

And for your local preachers and pastors and teachers, I'll take all the prayer I can get. Hallelujah. Amen. We're winning the race. Turn with me to Philippians 3, 13 through 14 and say, I've won the race.

SPEAKER_00

I have won the race.

SPEAKER_04

Amen. Philippians 3. Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, amen. You get to any of those, you can find the other. Philippians 3, 13 through 14 says this, brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended. But this one thing I do forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth to those things which are before. I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. May the Lord have a blessing to the reading and hearing of his holy word right here. We won the race. We're winning the race. And we already have victory. And I'm I'm gonna try to really bring this point clear. Do not get caught up in the things of the past. When you're rehearsing the past and this has happened, it it comes from a subconscious. Oh, I'm gonna be held against the standard, and this is my defense, this is why I feel this way, and you don't know what they've done. But your future is not one before you're a guilty counselor. I'm gonna prove my point. Your present, past, future is covered by the blood of Jesus and it's got a big old V for victory.

unknown

Amen.

SPEAKER_04

That if God is for us, since God is for us, no one can be against us. Do not waste time on rehearsing the past. You're not guilty because Jesus' blood has covered that guilt. All those and only those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, you're not guilty. So stop hanging on to the past. Stop being weighed down by the past. I don't care if it's good or bad. If it's bad, it's sinking you because it's guilt that's the other. And if it's good, you're still using it for justification. But I used to be this, and if you knew how I what I did in the past, it does not matter. Run forward, run this race, knowing that your future is bright and God has called you to victory, and I can leave the past behind me and run and grab the prize that God has. Let it go. God loves you. Don't be afraid to face the future because it's bright, it's full of hope, and God has you. We're fighting the good side of faith, we're using our spiritual warfare, we have our armor on, and we know that we have the victory. And not because we are good, but because God is good. And that is through Jesus. Who can stand against the Lord? Nobody, no one can. Jesus has all power. Turn with me to Philippians 2, 6 through 11. Just a couple pages back. Amen. Philippians 2, 6 through 11. When you have it say, Oh, it is Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it is Jesus.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, it is Jesus. That's the who is Jesus. Philippians 2, 6. Who, being the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Three and one equal. Philippians 2, 7, but made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. That's what we mean by we say that, confess that Jesus came in the flesh, that Jesus walked like one of us on the earth. Philippians 2.8, and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient. Everybody say, obedient. Obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2.9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord to the glory of God the Father. Every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord. Every knee will bow. We who do it here on earth, we get to spend eternity with Jesus in heaven. Those who deny God and say, Well, if I'm going to hell, my friends will be with me. You won't be caring about any friends if you're burning an egg knee in the pain of separation from God for eternity. Do not be foolish. And the pride that says, No, I will not do it. You're still going to do it. Every single person, those that chose Christ here and accepted him as Lord and Savior, our knee bows right now, and we will go to heaven. Those that refuse Christ will stand in judgment, sentence to hell, and still have to lift up their eyes and say, Oh, Jesus, you're Lord. You're gonna do it anyway. Won't you do it when you get to go to heaven? Hallelujah. Every knee, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father. Jesus' name is above every name. Verse 9 says, wherever God also has highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name. That's why we plead the blood of Jesus and we claim victory in Jesus' name because everything on the other side of that has to fall. Depression, oppression, pain, guilt, drugs, alcohol, you name it, mental illness, it all has to fall at the name of Jesus. Resist the devil, and he must flee. That you don't just do it once. Well, I tried it. No, I'm gonna keep on proclaiming, keep on saying Jesus' name, the blood of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and it must line up with God's will. You all were not weak, we're strong in the Lord. Turn with Acts to Acts um 1, verse 8. We're powerful because God is powerful. Not just some power. Not just some power. The Holy Ghost power. Acts 1 8 says this. And he's speaking that we, that us, me and you, the disciples, will receive that Holy Ghost power. Acts 1.8 says this. But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem, in all Judea, and in Samaria, and under to the utmost part of the earth. But ye shall receive power. Power. Power. We are powerful. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. When I'm on that hell kick, I had to, I would, God allowed me to go through so many pains and trials, physical ones, not even being able to uh walk at times on knee rollers, cortisol shots, you name it, that when I start getting healthier, I was so, oh Lord, please don't let me get hurt here. I would constantly even swimming. Oh, let me not pull a muscle, this, that, the other. And I had to change my mindset and say, no, I am an athlete. I am strong. I can do everything God has for me to accomplish. And when I start going forward to win and not to not be hurt, do you get what I'm saying? Because sometimes in life we live that way. Lord, help me go through where I don't do this and when I don't do that. And God says, no, change it. Go forward, be on the offensive, run as to what you want to have happen. Because you have power, Holy Ghost power. And when we have received Jesus, his love, his resurrection, his power, when you know it, the only answer is to tell others about Jesus. You cannot have all this Holy Ghost power and victory and not let the world know we serve a living Savior. He's Jesus and He loves you and He'll save you today. And not just some power. All power. Turn with me to Matthew 28 19, 18. Matthew 28. We're gonna do 18, 19, and 20. This is Jesus talking. Some of his final words record in Matthew. And we already talked in the beginning when you're making that final word, that that in conclusion, you want them to grab onto that main point. And Matthew 18. No, sorry, Matthew 28. Matthew 28, starting at verse 18, it says, and Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power, everybody say, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. That means there's nothing. I don't care how concrete it may seem. I don't care if it's cancer, blindness, you name it. Jesus came and said, I everything has to answer to me. Everything in earth. Everything in heaven. Everything. And Jesus came and spake unto me, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. That even includes time, you all. Don't don't fall to the false um false uh intimidation of time. All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Verse 19, Matthew 28, 19. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world. That in this warfare fight, that we already have the victory, and we have all power. Jesus says, remember go and teach others.

SPEAKER_03

Baptize them. When you're saved, go get baptized.

SPEAKER_04

Know that all power is with you. That God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, just as it says in the scripture, is with you.

SPEAKER_03

You are not alone. God is with you.

SPEAKER_04

You are not overcome by evil, overwhelmed. No, you overcome the evil by doing good. By fighting this good fight of fate.

SPEAKER_03

Jesus says, I'm with you. God is with you. The Holy Ghost is with you. And you can do anything and everything He tells you to do.

SPEAKER_04

That is true. Because Jesus paid the price for that reconciliation. And only those who have Jesus has this great promise. This great life. If you want this victory. Yes, you have some uptimes, down times, left, right. But our worst day, a Christian's worst day, is better than the unsaved best day. Without Jesus, without the presence of the Holy Ghost, there's always something missing. Jesus says, I'm He. I am the one you're looking for. If you're ready and willing to give your life to Jesus, please pray this prayer with us. If you feel like, oh, I've been so distant. There was a time I felt close to the Lord. Renew your heart in him. Come to Jesus. Let's sing a little bit of that.

SPEAKER_03

Come to Jesus. Come to Jesus. Come to Jesus. Just now. Just now. Come to Jesus. Come to Jesus. Just now. He will save you. He will save you. He will save you. Just now. Just now. He will save you. He will save you. Just now.

SPEAKER_04

Please bow your head and pray this prayer with me if you're ready to be saved. Dear Lord God.

SPEAKER_01

Dear Lord God.

SPEAKER_04

I know that I'm a sinner.

SPEAKER_01

I know that I am a sinner.

SPEAKER_04

And I confess my sin.

SPEAKER_01

And I confess my sin. Before you. Before you.

SPEAKER_04

I repent for my sin.

SPEAKER_01

I repent for my sin.

SPEAKER_04

And I ask you, God.

SPEAKER_01

And I ask you God.

SPEAKER_04

To forgive me.

SPEAKER_01

To forgive me. By the blood of Jesus. By the blood of Jesus.

SPEAKER_04

I now confess Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Confess Jesus as my Lord. As my Lord. And my Savior. And my Savior.

SPEAKER_04

He died on the cross.

SPEAKER_01

He died on the cross.

SPEAKER_04

For my sin.

SPEAKER_01

For my sin.

SPEAKER_04

And on the third day.

SPEAKER_01

And on the third day.

SPEAKER_04

He rose again.

SPEAKER_01

He rose again.

SPEAKER_04

I now choose Jesus. Choose Jesus. To be the Savior. To be the Savior of my life. Of my life. Come into my heart.

SPEAKER_01

Come into my heart.

SPEAKER_04

Rule my life. I'm yours, God. I'm yours, God. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name. This day. This day. I am saved. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
