This week our hosts sit down with Officer Alex. He is a Georgia native born and raised. From a young age he knew he wanted to be a police officer. He made his way to Texas and has been with GPPD for over 18 years now.
Alex first worked patrol then he became a detective in property and later on a narcotics detective. After that, he came back to patrol where he now serves as an Field Training Officer (FTO). Alex was also on the SWAT team for many years as an entry and then sniper member.
Alex shares some great work stories, as well as some of his trials and tribulations in his personal life. He is active on the competitive shooting scene and is known to throw down on the BBQ smoker! In fact, his favorite way to cook meat is in the ground (inside joke).
