This week our hosts sit down with Officer Carlos.   He has been a police officer for about 7 years now.  He was a cop in California just outside of Oakland for over 5 years.  He worked patrol and then went to investigations where he worked narcotics and then sex crimes.  With all of the things going on in CA, he sought greener pastures in Texas.  He learned about Grand Prairie through a San Francisco cop buddy of his (now also a GP cop - shoutout to Dennis who was on Episode 8 of the podcast).   

Carlos got hired by Grand Prairie in 2021 and the rest is history!   He bought a house, bought a truck, and hasn't looked back.  Carlos works on one of the nightshift patrols currently for us.   He is starting to get into helping here and there at the academy to give back as well.   

Carlos is a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a part of our GPPD Jiu-Jitsu program, as well as attending a local gym.  Let's dig into it!
